Two full years ago, three childhood friends sought to explore lands beyond their own. However, on the eve that they
were to set out, the door to their island opened, and they were flooded with darkness. In came the heartless, beings
without hearts that lived only to take the hearts of others. Two friends lost their way, one chased by darkness for
her pure heart and the other lured into the fold by its taint. And the remaining friend was chosen by the keyblade to
free those trapped by the dark. And who were these friends? Maybe you’ve heard of them. Kairi, Riku, and
Sora respectively.

Sora traveled through many worlds to find those friends and learned that his world was not the only one
consumed by darkness. With his keyblade, he fought off the darkness and sealed the worlds again so balance
could be restored. He found the source of it all, Ansem, the one that had flooded and torn apart the worlds with
darkness seeking the seven Princesses of Heart that could open up the door to Kingdom Hearts. When he
was destroyed, Sora saved his friends and together they closed the door to the darkness.

Unfortunately, the three friends had to part once again. Sora was led to Castle Oblivion where he met Organization
XIII. They were nobodies, the remains of those that have lost their heart to the darkness. These Organization XIII
members were nobodies with the strongest wills. Among them was Namine, a special nobody-Kairi’s nobody. As
Sora climbed through Castle Oblivion, Namine took and manipulated his memories, the source of his power because
his power came from his heart… his friends… But at the end, Namine was moved by Sora’s kindness enough that she
disobeyed the other nobodies in Organization XIII and returned his memories to him even at the cost of Sora never
remembering her.

During the final fight against Ansem, Sora had given up his heart in order to release Kairi’s and save her. He
became a heartless, but with faith from his friends, he was able to return. However, when he was briefly a
heartless, he too created a nobody-Roxas. Roxas was a special nobody due to his connection to Sora and
thus made an ideal member for Organization XIII to recruit as their thirteenth member. Additionally, with Namine,
they could siphon the memories from Sora to Roxas and give Roxas Sora’s power until Namine disobeyed. When
Roxas learned of this plan, his resolve was strengthened to learn more about Sora but did not realize that
he could not meet Sora so long as he existed and carried a portion of Sora’s heart.

Riku, after the defeat of Ansem, was unconsciously brought to Castle Oblivion as well. Although he never
encountered Sora during his time there, he did learn about and fight nobodies all the same. There he was able
to properly face the darkness inside of him and keep it at bay if only for a short time. He then began to further
investigate the actions of Organization XIII, learning about their plans to manipulate Sora’s memories and siphon
them into Roxas. From the shadows, he learned that for Sora to be truly whole again, Sora and Roxas needed to be
one. When he faced off against Roxas, Riku had to give into the darkness inside of him in order to garner the
strength to defeat Roxas properly so that Sora could be saved.

Roxas rejoined with Sora, and Sora was able to reawaken again. He set out with a resolve stronger than
ever to finally meet his two friends again. He traveled through worlds, re-learning about and fighting nobodies.
He fought the remaining members of Organization XIII that sought to open up Kingdom Hearts and gain hearts
themselves so they could be whole again. He learned through his quest that Xemnas, the leader of Organization
XIII had orchestrated the entire plan for Sora to defeat heartless and release hearts so that Kingdom Hearts
could be fully realized.

Meanwhile Riku traveled in the darkness, aiding Sora and their cause to stop Organization XIII in whatever way
he could manage. During this time, a member of Organization XIII, Axel, had taken Kairi to “The World that
Never Was”-a world created by and for Organization XIII. However, Riku managed to save her, and at this time,
the trio of friends met once again before a final confrontation with Xemnas. After Xemnas's defeat, Sora and
Riku were able to return to Destiny Island once again guided by the light in their hearts to the light in the hearts
of their friends.

After two full-years, the three childhood friends could finally spend a brief respite lounging on the beach where
they'd grown up together. Unfortunately, it did not last. During one particular sunset, their island shook and
the door to their world open once again. However, with united hearts, they were able to stay together.
Unconscious, they traveled from their world to another world-the town of Twixt-n-Tween where they have now
awoken to a hoard of echoes cornering them.

This is where their journey together unfolds.

From this point, Sora, Kairi, and Riku will have been transported from Destiny Island without any way to get
home. They can find Organization XIII members and various fallen or defeated beings that now reside in
Twixt-n-Tween Town as echoes. (See respective post for more details on ‘echoes.’) They vary in their
present opinions of Sora, Kairi, and Riku so they may be helpful, hindrances, or hiding from sight.

Sora, Kairi, and Riku potentially learn of the true worlds of their friends that resided in Hollow
Bastion/Radiant Garden. After their worlds were restored, they too were able to return. Although
their worlds were sealed after Sora’s actions throughout his previous journey, there arose new
enemies-the echoes that ravage their world. The echoes have used the shadows and lights in a persons’s
heart to travel through because where there is light, there will always be darkness.

The way plot will flow is dependent on the actions of Sora, Kairi, and Riku. When Sora, Kairi, and Riku
are in one world, all roleplayers are expected to prioritize characters within that specific world. Then
when Sora, Kairi, and Riku leave that world, that world may go on hiatus/time skip and all the roleplayers
will prioritize characters from whatever world they enter. If we as roleplayers want to prioritize a certain
world at any time, Sora, Kairi, and Riku must return to that world. We can either choose to continue
playing in the worlds they do not visit or simply plot about what will have happened in a time skip.

Each world will be driven by the basic plot of their game. That basic plot of the present world
will be written up and saved on the front page, and it will change according to what we accomplish
or plan out. The plot only serves as a basic guideline with as many subplots that can be removed
as possible. It merely acts as a lighthouse in case we as roleplayers lose our way and/or cannot
think of anything else to do so we’ll just move on to the “next event” so to speak. If their game has
sequels, we can discuss returning to the world to do those at a later date.

With original worlds like Twixt-n-Tween Town, I expect there will be an original plot that we can discuss
together. I expect that we’ll have that as the crossroads town and perhaps two more original worlds,
one for “The End” and one somewhere for the middle. There is no distinct “ending” of this roleplay.
As long as we come up with games we want to do, we can always continue moving forward.

With that said, this was originally created to be a Final Fantasy – Kingdom Hearts crossover. If you
want to bring in different worlds like from other games, animes, or something like that, we all have
to agree on it. Disagreements may occur if a roleplayer cannot be swayed or if roleplay mechanics
in some way with the storyline cannot be meshed well. We simply won’t do it in those cases, no hard
feelings. However, if we can’t agree on something, we’ll just continue doing Final Fantasy and potentially
other Square Soft/Square Enix games.

Often, echoes are mistaken for enemies, but that is simply a misconception. Echoes are simply beings
that have fallen and passed from life. They are the after images or leftover fragments of an essence
imprinted on a certain place or time. Normally these essences are small and therefore negligible. However,
in this space strong essences that have not moved on have joined together and gain strength in localization.
This concentration thereby exponentially increases the amount of echoes in existence in the general vicinity.

What are these strong essences? Simply, they are the members of Organization XIII. As nobodies, they
had strong enough hearts or wills to retain human forms. Their strong desire to be whole and human again as
they once were is what has kept them tethered to this space. Since their defeat, they have re-gathered again in
a single space, which has caused the essences of various hearts, both strong and weak that have fallen to
feed off their strength and take form again.

Although there is virtually no difference among echoes, they are separated into two groups, destructive and
constructive based on their wills.

As their name suggests, they are the more aggressive type of echo. They give all echoes a bad name
because they are found most often simply because more heartless, nobodies, and unversed have been
defeated in the past. They spawn in mass as they would as if they were heartless, nobodies, or unversed.
Their abilities and tactics are the same as the original counterparts because (forgive my pun) in essence they
are the exact same. However, they lack the specific marking on their body that suggests heartless, nobodies,
or unversed because they are now the same.

When it comes to the enemies that will be faced, they will be primarily echoes. There will only be echo enemies
in original worlds. However, in the worlds of games, there will be a mixture of echoes and the locally spawned
enemies. Typically, they will be fodder NPC’d enemies included in posts. Echoes can be eliminated by
conventional weapons and will be put to rest if eliminated once because the destruction of this form will
sever their ties that tethers them here.

More uncommonly found are constructive echoes. They are just the same as destructive echoes,
but they are typically helpful or even neutral in nature. The weak-willed enemies will never be constructive.
However, strong wills have the ability to overcome the base desire to simply consume if they were once
more aggressive. If they were not aggressive at all in their life, they will form as normally. Examples of
these beings are Aerith, Zack, Roxas, Namine, and potentially Tidus. Organization XIII members
have a choice of being harmful or helpful or even changing sides as they so desire.

These characters are can be played as usual, knowing they aren’t quite alive but are in fact echoes.
Just like all echoes, they retain their same abilities as if they were alive once again. So as not to make
too much of a mess in plots, I would prefer if certain echoes did not return to their world unless completely
necessary. (eg: Zack/Aerith running around in Midgar after they are supposed to be dead.)

The main enemy of each world will still be as expected in their usual forms. They are not considered
echoes but may control/boss around echoes. However, if they are eliminated, then the next time Sora,
Kairi, and Riku return to the world, they may return as an echo and must be “vanquished” again because
I doubt they will be any happier or any less bent on their evil plots than before.

( Description )bNot unlike Traverse Town or Twilight Town, it is a location between worlds that acts like a
sort of pit stop where anyone and everyone may or may not pass through. There several quaint locations
to set up shop and also a number of shops to be visit in order to buy weapons, armor, accessories,
items, and even synthesize new items. However, unlike Traverse Town and Twilight Town, there is
a strong air of city-life not unlike The World that Never Was with a handful of skyscrapers that light up
the night sky. This is undoubtedly due to the influence of Organization XIII’s presence there.

( Recent Events )bSora, Kairi, and Riku have landed in Twix-n-Tween Town and awake to a swarm of
echoes. Certain Organization XIII members have set-up shop to so to speak depending on their specific
skill sets. Other Organization XIII members have hidden their face. Those capable like Axel and
Roxas have banded together to protect citizens from rogue echoes.

( Description )b“Gaia” It is an industrial/post-industrial society composed of three main land masses.
The eastern most continent houses Midgar, the industrial capital and the headquarters of the ShinRa
Electric Power Company. Other major cities include Junon-ShinRa’s military base, Fort Condor-an
older mako reactor, and Kalm. The western continent is made of smaller towns, including Nibelheim,
Gongaga, Rocket Town, and Costa del Sol. It is also home to the Gold Saucer-an amusement park.
Alongside it is Wutai, an East- Asian Village. The final continent, also the northernmost is mostly
frozen mountains with few locations but houses the City of the Ancients and Northern Crater.

( Recent Events )bAerith has been lain to rest, having been murdered by Sephiroth. Sora, Kairi, and
Riku land on the outskirts of the City of the Ancients where the main protagonists grieve for Aerith.
Just as the protagonists finish explaining to the trio what has happened, the Highwind appears, and
echoes use this chance to steal the Black Materia to give to Sephiroth.

These are just a list of objectives that can be accomplished when we run out of things to do or hit a lull in plot so we can just skip to the next mission/objective and move on with the story. Remember, this is just a skeleton. We don't have to follow it, but we can just use it as a sort of guiding timeline in case we lose our way.

『 ◆ 』bhAfter being knocked out by an earthquake on Destiny Island, Sora, Kairi, and Riku are brought through “the door” to a strange town. As they awake, they are being attacked by destructive echoes. Most other inhabitants are going about their daily business, either own a business, starting a business, or patrolling for echoes if they are trying to protect inhabitants from echoes.

『 ◇ 』bhInvestigate and become familiar with the town. Answer a few key questions: Where are they? What are those creatures that are like nobodies and heartless except missing the sign? How are Organization XIII members still alive there? Is there any way to get back to Destiny Island?

『 ◇ 』bhLearn about echoes. Find out that they are ravaging other worlds in this realm of the universe. Constructive echoes say worlds need the help of the keybladers to fight them and seal the keyholes in these worlds.

『 ◇ 』bhFind someone-maybe an Organization XIII member that has might have knowledge about gummy ship mechanics.

『 ◇ 』bhMaybe Aerith spoke of her world being ravaged by echoes. It might be the closest world. Take a look to see what good can be done there. Make sure all preparations are done before leaving.

『 ◇ 』bhSora, Kairi, and Riku land in the Forgotten City of the Ancients where Cloud and crew have just lain Aerith to rest. (Did they just see Aerith in TnT? Things are starting to make sense.) Sora, Kairi, and Riku talk with Cloud and his party to find out what has happened, and they get the low down on the black materia, Sephiroth, and everything so far. Too bad just as they finish the explanation, they are attacked by a hoard of echoes.

『 ◇ 』bhAs they are fighting the echoes, the Highwind with ShinRa executives appear on the horizon. The echoes take this chance to steal the black materia because they are obviously in league with Sephiroth because they plan to give it to him. Once Cloud and crew notice that the black materia is gone, there is an earthquake that knocks everyone unconscious.

『 ◇ 』bhShinRa kidnaps everyone they can find, but Cloud is MIA in the chaos. The crew manages to smuggle the kids (Sora, Kairi, and Riku) out safely, but they remain in the clutches of ShinRa. However, Sora, Kairi, and Riku aren’t to be underestimated. Time for a rescue mission.

『 ◇ 』bhSapphire Weapon is unleashed! This isn’t going to be an easy escape. While half the crew is fighting the Sapphire Weapon, the other half sneak off to get the Highwind as their escape route out of ShinRa's grasp.

『 ◇ 』bhNow, where is Cloud Strife? Maybe check Mideel. Too bad ShinRa’s out for their lives. Once they reach Mideel, they learn that Weapons have been unleashed to eliminate them. The two main attacks come from Diamond and Ruby Weapon. Divide and conquer, baby.

『 ◇ 』bhAnother weapon?! Ultima Weapon attacks Mideel while everyone is gone. Mideel is overrun by mako, but the party-now altogether kicks its a** to send it back to kingdom come. After the mako bath, it seems like Cloud is all right.

『 ◇ 』bhAfter a reconvene, there is evidence from the three weapons as to Sephiroth’s location-Northern Crater. However, Meteor’s already been summoned over Midgar, and Emerald Weapon is attacking the shores of Junon. Divide and conquer.

『 ◇ 』bhSephiroth’s been defeated, but what about meteor? It’s still falling! Sora, Kairi, and Riku point their keyblades at the meteor, combining their powers to use the powers of Captain Planet! (sort of)

『 ◇ 』bhEverything seems okay for now. Cloud and crew say they can handle the reconstruction as well as the remaining echoes. Sora, Kairi, and Riku should go help other worlds. They fly off in their gummy ship after Cid gives them a special gummy piece that allows them to track distressed planets. Hurrah!

This is a location for potential future plots/objectives. Compared to the previous post, these are less set in stone and are subject to change. The plots here are up for discussion. Just because they are in this post does not make them the "next" plot after the one above. These are just ideas that have become most solid over time so I'm noting them down in a place so we don't forget them and can revisit them until we like it and it gets moved to the post above.

『 ❥ 』bhAfter heartless-Ansem and nobody-Xemnas-or better named Terra possessed by the dark spirit of Xehanort was defeated in both forms, Xemnas remained in echo form. Rumor has it that Terra, one of the reasons Xemnas was so powerful because it combined both Terra’s strong heart with Xehanort’s decisive will. Terra strengthens as Xehanort weakens day by day. That would explain some of the changes in Xemnas.

『 ❥ 』bhSome of the Organization XIII members have grown suspicious of Xemnas’s motives. Perhaps investigate with Axel and Roxas to see if this rumor is true.

『 ❥ 』bhLearn about echoes. Find out that they are ravaging other worlds in this realm of the universe. Constructive echoes say worlds need the help of the keybladers to fight them and seal the keyholes in these worlds.

『 ❥ 』bhWhat’s this? Xemnas can summon a keyblade, and he’s stabbed himself? A heart escapes, leaving only Xehanort. Xemnas’s form changes into the old man of Xehanort.

『 ❥ 』bhMaybe Sora and Riku can help? Sleeping inside Sora’s heart is a piece of Ven’s heart! Sleeping inside Riku’s heart is a piece of Xehanort’s heartless-“Ansem”-another potential piece of Terra. Riku has already unlocked and freed this part of himself. It comes out and settles with Terra as well becoming a full somebody again.

『 ❥ 』bhUnfortunately, Xehanort is now in full control. There is nothing holding back the former keyblade master! He has additionally summoned his echo of his heartless form since that was also freed from Riku. Both are extremely powerful and have control over lesser echoes.

『 ❥ 』bhThe remaining Organization members take sides, Xehanort or Terra. Time to divide and conquer. It’s worked before after all.
