Welcome to Gaia! ::

Amerin, still trying to digest it all, followed behind Haruka, his tail only swishing back and forth slowly now for he'd given up trying to escape and had accepted his defeat. He looked up at Haruka and he guided him around. Another blush came to Rin's face and he wondered what was going on, and why this person made him feel so uneasy. It was then that Rin remembered something Haruka said. "Mosters?! What? We have to fight monsters?! Why?"

"Heh~" Heady swaying to the left, head swaying to the right, dancing side to side with the motion of the butterflies wings, taking turns with one then the other just to be fair. The breeze, what little it had been, had softened a little more and the tiny creature found itself quite content to sit and fan its wings on the end of its holder's finger.

Just as it had been at the flowers, the sight of pure joy was written on the face of the very same that held the tiny creature, watching the beautiful colors move back and forth with each motion. "Bu-tterfly, bu-tterfly, dancing on the tip of my fi~nger..." Of course there had been some time when the creatures were called 'buttered-toast' until someone had been kind enough to give the correction. Both started with 'butter' so it seemed fine, but the true name was nicer to say.

...but when I wandered off I gave myself the a choice, and I chose to become something more...

User ImageHaruka turned an eye to Amerin and chuckled then looked ahead again as they walked. "Well, certain monsters are the only way to get some ingredients required for you to pass your tests in class. As well as it works to help keep their population low enough that they don't endanger us here in the academy or smaller settlements throughout the lands, you know?" She raked her fingers back through her hair and sighed, though her smile was still soft, even amused. "The Old Man didn't tell you much upon dragging you here, did he?"

Once created with a purpose, an emptiness without meaning...

The mediumly armored person crouched in the middle of the walk facing the flowers once more, watching the butterfly on the tip still while showing it the flowers. "The gardens are always in bloom, thanks to some of the students tending to them, so it's always beautiful here. Oh! Well, you flutter about here, so you already know. Hm...so what's your favorite flower? Mine I think are either the sakura or the roses, thought the sakura are off in the orchards. Ooh! I should take you to the orchard!"

Slowly standing, the two did head to the orchard of trees to stop at the apple trees and the orange trees and the spruce...and every single type until the sakura surrounded them. Each time, though, found the one standing tippied-toed and had raised to get the butterfly as close as possible to get a good look. In the sakura, though, once more did they dance: butterfly wings opening and closing and the one that carried said butterfly would sway with them.

...but when I wandered off I gave myself the a choice, and I chose to become something more...
Amerin shook his head, still keeping his gaze at the floor, his tail moving again as he thought over the monsters and answered Haruka. "No. I lived alone... And the Headmaster found me. He said he knew my parents and asked me to come here." Rin looked around a bit as they walked, then back to the ground, thinking as well as taking in the sights. "He told me my parents were alchemists and I could learn." His cheeks flushed as he remembered the basic lessons the Headmaster had shown him at first, to gauge his skill. Everything ended in disaster except for two.

User ImageHaruka listened quietly to him, wanting to know him more before taking him out into the wild yonder. It seemed to her though, that the Headmaster and his bleeding heart were manipulating a few more things into play, and that made her concerned over this new year. What did he know that he wasn't letting onto at all? "Well, Hailay and I will help you as well. And even if alchemy isn't your deal, there's still other natural abilities you can enhance as we go, and maybe even magic, yes?" She smiled down at him, again trying to be as friendly as possible so he'd calm down a bit. "So don't worry. Besides, if you're scared, I'll protect you." With that she winked before she could help it.
Rin's face glowed red again and he kept his eyes on the ground in front of him. Why was it this person made him feel so uneasy. Was it because he hadn't dealt with people most of his life? Or was it something else. Rin was happy to have Haruka accompany him, he did feel safer form others, but at the same time, he was worried if he'd be safe from Haruka. "Um..." He gripped his pack a bit, then eased up, his tail swishing. "Can you... show me the dorms? I'd like... to drop my stuff off at least, please."

User ImageHaruka nodded and looked about. "I most certainly can...though no one's told me what age you are so I know where to put you. Are you a junior student?" She chuckled, knowing she should've derived that before kidnapping him into her alchemist team.
Rin's tail was moving even more rapidly, and his thoughts were just as rapid. Should he say how old he really was? Would he make a big deal about it? Rin thought back to when the Headmaster called out Rin as a boy, and Haruka hadn't been too bad about it. "Um... I'm 18." Rin almost whispered, seeming to shrink more as he hugged his pack closer to himself.

User ImageHaruka's response was even more down-played than when he had discovered the new cute girl was in fact a boy. In fact, he was so unphased by the fact he didn't look anywhere near his proper age, one could say it was suspicious. "Alright, then to the senior dorms we go! But perhaps I should show you to a room on Hailay's and my level...what with your looks and cuteness I'd imagine the senior floor would soon become a dangerous place, those girls are crazy I tell you. Nice enough. You know. To look at. From far away." She was making jokes about it as she lead him through the garden to another set of doors, ones that lead back inside, but again to a secret passage that would lead up.

"These used to be servant corridors, but Hailay and I find them useful to get around without the mob, so if you need to use them, and yes, yes you can, anytime, then please do s with utmost caution so the girls don't discover them, mkay?"
Rin had to admit, he was surprised at Haruka's simple acceptance of his age, but followed along anyway. Rin's ear perked up, and a small glow of excitement spark in his eyes as the moved through the secret passages. His tail swishes behind him in slow long swipes, he was partly happy for the first time, he liked secret places and passages, and the whole mystery behind them. He nodded to Haruka's request. "Okay."

Kiss Me....Fill Me

Tyann looked at the gates of the school, she had already passed the guards that stood at the entrance of the portal and now she stood at the door to the actually school. Tyann had to admit she was scared of the whole thing. When her mother told her she would be switching schools Ty had no idea it would be a school so old and powerful as this one.

Hitching her bag up higher on her shoulder she pushed her blonde hair from her face and started inside. Their was a lot of students wandering around because it was the first couple days and again Tyann had a feeling that she shouldn't be here. She wondered how many of these students where human like herself. Bitting her lower lip she looked at the paper she had gotten in the mail and started toward...well she wasn't sure since the school was so huge she had no idea where she was going. Afraid of getting lost but even more afraid of speaking to anyone she continued on her way as if she knew where she was going.

Haruka chuckled and lead him through the passages and then to a flight of stairs that went for a long ways up. She of course was used to the many floors of the school, but she wondered how athletic he was and how he'd take the any flights of stairs. Of course there was one lift system, but that was at the core of the academy building, and was normally swamped by people, so she never used it.
