It was only mid-day and Leda was already exhausted.
Part way through breakfast, Leda had recieved an urgent message saying a new virus had broken out in Ilim. Fearing for the worst, she dropped everything to make her way back to her home country. It was a bit of a trek back, which only seemed longer to the queen because she was so nervous. But, finally, her and her escort made it to the town square. She made her way to a podium in the center of the square and stood behind it, waiting for the crowd of people to quiet down.
"People of Ilim," she called as soon as she deemed it quiet enough. "I understand that this recent outbreak has caused a panic. I assure you we will be doing everything we can to combat this new virus. As your queen, I will do my best to carry Ilim through this disaster we are facing. We will be keeping all those who have been infected in a quarantined area to minimize the spread as it is considered contagious. Please, if you feel any of the symptoms of this new virus, report to the researchers. I will be staying here until the virus has been taken care of to treat the infected patients. I ask that you all stay strong through this, and keep your heads held high. Thank you." And with that, she stepped down from the podium and made her way to the quarantine area. Though the anklet did not prevent her from getting sick, it would heal her, so she was safe to step in to the area and begin treating the patients.

Liupold laid in bed, his red mop a mess as it tousled down the nape of his neck and wrapping around his slender, laden shoulders. Tired eyes pulled lazily around the room, noticing the messy crowns of two women; brunette and a fiery redhead. His tongue shifted in his mouth as his attention quickly fell away from them and to the tall and elderly butler standing with arms folded and tapping shoes in the entryway to his now shared royal bedroom. A smirk pulled to Liupold's lips but before he could make a smartass comment to his butler/only disciplinary figure, the girls groaned and shifted before propping up on their elbows. Liupold gave them a coy smile before they giggled, knowing it was time for their departure as they peered at the scowl-faced old man. As they pulled on their garbs, they gave Liupold a quick kiss on each cheek before hurrying out of the room past the old man with their clothes loosely pulled onto their bodies. Liupold watched after them, his teeth digging into his upper lip as his eyebrows raised and his head c**k when his eyes fell on their behinds while trotting out the door. However, this was quickly interupted as the butler then took a step forward into Liupold's line of sight, his frown deepening. "Two girls on the first night of your honeymoon?" The man paused, shaking his head."Do you think that's acceptable behavior now that you're married? Do you think you should have little Liupold's running around the kingdom?" Liupold simply gave a fake pout before yawning and stretching, sitting up in his bed as he did so. "You're preaching to the choir, old man." The butler simply scoffed and shook his head, his look of disapproval hardening as he did so. Liupold swung his legs around the bed, his bare chest and legs greeting the cool afternoon air as the sheets fell from his body. "Noon already? Boo, I missed my morning wine." Liupold gave another mighty stretch, then turning and opening his closet and pulling on a pair of underwear, shirt, and pants. He combed through his hair with his fingers lightly as he placed his crown (the pair of horns) onto his head, and then heading to his study for his well-missed wine.

The rest of the morning had been relatively peaceful. Meir allowed himself the liberty of freedom to accompany his wife for the day instead of turning to his duties as king of the kingdom. Really, he should be slaving away at the paperwork and silly disputes the people can think up…yet no, today is his first day as a husband and he might as well take the time to study his wife because really, he and her are strangers. The more they learn about each other, the closer their bond should get thus making their relationship more ideal. It’s not really that tough a task as…

His eyes shifted over to glance at the lovely lady beside him as they made their way toward the gardens. She truly was lovely, his wife. Meir couldn’t quite figure out why she seemed to sparkle but maybe it’s her radiance? The incident with breakfast suddenly popped back into mind, and immediately he shoved the thought away. It’s probably not radiance…cooking in the kitchen isn’t something that could cause radiance…right?

Another question and a silent sigh to remind himself that the answer will not be found (at least for now).

As they entered the gardens, Meir gave his surroundings a quick once over. He must admit, the staff had outdone themselves with the picnic and the placements. Gracefully, the king turned to his queen while wielding his gentle smile once more.

Shall we?

tab tab Alice had been content to stay by his side all morning. She tried to think up other things that the pair of them could do, but in the end all they could come up with was a lunchtime picnic. She had tried to slip away to prepare a meal at the proper hour only to find the maids returning with a prepared meal and a promised setup awaiting them in the garden. Alice was now walking down the gardens, her eyes glowing with awe at the garden that was attached to the castle. There were roses, lilies, lilacs, and so many others, including a few she'd never seen before. She was shocked this was now her garden. She saw gardeners tending to it and wondered if they, like the maids, would get upset if she tried to tend to the flowers here.

tab tab "Meir, this place is beautiful," Alice said, looking to him and smiling warmly. "Do you like gardens?"

tab tab As they arrived at the place they were told to head, a luxurious picnic awaited them. Alice could hardly contain her surprise. The meal prepared was twice the size she'd normally prepare herself. She followed his instruction, nodding and taking a seat at the picnic table that had awaited them. She would wait patiently for Meir to take his seat before speaking again. "This is almost like a dream. I've never eaten a meal so grand in a garden so amazing. Thank you Meir. This was a wonderful idea."

The fire prince was never one to arise before the sun, he liked to be kissed by it's warm embrace to be awoken. It always made the days feel all the more better so, as the sun was rising in the east horizon and flooded the room with it's awakening aura, Nicolas rolled over to face it. His mouth stretched into a yawn, as his body followed as he stretched his arms and legs to wake them up from the nightly daze they were in. It took him a moment for his brain to click where he was, and what had happened prior to the moment currently.
He glanced over at the spot beside him, where his now-bride had lay, and puffed his cheeks to let out a small sigh. Nicolas wasn't one for relationships, and was used to waking up alone or leaving before the other but he figured she was the early-risen and proper. Left a foul taste in his mouth. He didn't know much at all about the woman, but considering what had taken place the night before - he should've known more, but that wasn't his style.
Nicolas pushed the sheets off of him and went to open the curtains wide to let the room be flooded by an tsunami of the suns warmth. He basked in the warmth of the morning sun, closing his eyes to enjoy it all the more without going blind because of it's unbearable light. Hearing a noise, he turned towards it's source to see a figure he would have to get used to. The woman that now stood in his presence was his new bride. His wife. The term was endearing, and slightly made him cringe mentally. However he returned a small smile to the blue haired woman. "Good morning, my lady." He said, walking towards her. He placed his hand gracefully on her cheek, "did you sleep well?"

"With my final breath I beg, ye gods, surcease"

"My queen, your words are dear things to me. Perhaps we are the perfect match for one another," Martin's heart swelled with joy at her praise and her acceptance of his praise of her. He noticed as Curtis entered the room and would have broken away from his conversation to greet Curtis, save that it would be improper. This was especially true considering the lengths to which Curtis seemed to be going to observe propriety. Martin had hoped for this to be a somewhat informal meeting but he supposed that was just the way things were. He allowed himself to enjoy the warmth of the intimate setting and the assurances he and Agria had shared before he continued.

"I've asked the two of you to join me because I there are some things we must speak of." He hesitated not entirely desiring to broach the topics he must now speak of, "Curtis knows this already, but Alvheim is a hotbed for political intrigue. The nature of the government we possessed before the Unity Accords were ratified bred the political climate of the nation today. The High Noble families are certain that by the time my life comes to an end they will be able to reassert the old system. In part I agree with them on this point. I do not wish for my family line to hold permanent claim on the loyalty of Alvheim in perpetuity. However, we must abide by the terms of the accords until such a time as the peace of the world, and the survival of humanity, is assured. Still, to maintain stability I have decided to continue my rule as though the old system were still in place. I plan to delegate some of the responsibility of managing the nation's affairs to the High Noble families. With your consent, Agria, I hope to establish a new high council of Alvheim-Lumerys. If I am to ensure that the Unity Accords are upheld, that peace will reign in the tw- the six kingdoms, then I must first see to maintaining the peace and stability of our own country. I will need the help of you both to accomplish this."

"And utter out our people's prayer for peace."

Agria couldn't help but blush a little as Martin accepted her words. For a moment she felt some nerves arise from being placed on the spot but she played it off with a simple, yet gentle smile. ❝Perhaps we are.❞ She agreed with a simple nod of her head. Within the next moments the green haired girl carefully intertwined her hands before resting them in her lap. Even her eyes cast downwards a little before directly moving towards the door to look at Curtis as he entered. She assumed with his arrival the group would be getting down to busy now. But what sort of details those would be were still to be determined. And while Martin had given her a general idea she remained uncertain what specifics would soon be brought to her intention. So she still had cause for concern and worry. She hoped whatever he was to bring up would not involve any threat towards Martin's well being. But if for some reason it did.... Agria would, with no doubt do anything and everything in her power to make those who would harm Martin Disappear.

Their similarities made her care, far more then any normal woman in an arranged marriage would or should have. But she meant those words... She cared deeply for Martin and although it may not have been a generic husband and wife love it was enough to make her wish to protect him. She couldn't bare to lose any more people dear to her. The war had taken everything---but it had also given her Martin... Moving her eyes back to her partner she smiled hopefully. Perhaps his arrival truly was the end of her bad luck and she was willing to put her faith in such an idea and drive herself to do what needed to be done in order to ensure loss never happened to her again. But there was one thing she had forgotten, her manners of greeting Curtis. Slowly Agria rose and give a gentle nod to the butler. ❝Welcome, Curtis.❞ She said pleasantly before retaking her seat and directing her focus once more to her husband. Martin certainly looked ready to address the small party of three.

As Martin spoke Agria couldn't help but feel a little sense of trouble, a political curiosity was not always a good thing. Especially in times were there was a struggle to restore peace to the lands. As Martin finished Agria paused for a moment, coming from Lumérys, her country had been ruled by a Hereditary Monarch as part of their tradition. To strip a nation laying almost entirely in ruin from a practice they had upheld for generation was troubling. Although her nation was and remains a place of peace such things as voting in the next ruler might upset the people. ❝My beloved Martin, I to strive to restore peace to my people. But if we are to work together I feel I must raise concerns of my own.❞ She stated, as a Queen she needed to look out for her people as well. ❝Coming from a Hereditary Monarch, I am not opposed to a High Council. But my Love, please be aware... That the foundation of such a monarch has been a tradition within Lumérys for centuries. For it was my Ancestor who strove and wove the name of peace within my culture and home. To see the line of the Goddess Lumérysia no longer aid in leading the Lumérysian side of our rule would trouble amy people....No our people.❞ She corrected. ❝Should our line be granted a permanent place as some sort of represent of Lumérys, I'm sure the people will be more at ease with being willing to see another family step in. As well... I must now state this as it is truly important, are the other families to be trusted?... With their influence....and the secrets of my countries technology to be airborne---I wish not for this power to fall in the wrong hands...Hands that would use flight for war.❞ Agria stated. She felt a little winded after her words, but these were simply concerns that needed to be addressed.

They’re beautiful.” Meir replied honestly, “Not to mention a wonder place to recharge or to think. I’ve always did like walking around when something bothers me

He waited for Alice to take her seat before taking his own, and only smiled at his queen’s approval. To be honest, Meir would have to compare his wife to a normal girl. She doesn’t carry herself or act like the nobles he was so very used to, and he will admit, this feels a lot like a breath of fresh air. There was a silent though at the back of his mind nagging at him, yet he shoved it away. The caution his mind has provided can wait for now, she seems to be…harmless. At least for now.

Nothing to thank me for, love. I am glad you like this picnic.” Meir responded, sipping his tea slowly before taking a bite of his own food. It’s a good thing the weather is nice today. Would have been terrible if it was raining…rain on the first day of their days together wouldn’t be a good sign.

Location: Ilim - Quarantined Area
Out of Faith: N/A

tab tab He'd only come to Ilim for supplies for the Pope's health. His prestige was the only thing that had gotten him past the country lines. Of course, he'd come in the early hours of morning in an attempt to keep his presence low key. However, this had obviously worked against him. He was resting in a cot near an elderly man who clearly needed more attention than himself. The irritating man was whining of headache, that his muscle were groaning, and he refused the last three times someone had offered him something to eat. He definitely looked like death warmed over. Seth, on the other hand, was maintaining a rather public facade. He gave the man reassuring, pleasant glances when he looked, offered to assist their nurses, and even would do tasks that someone not infected would not. It was sickening. While he wanted to leave, since he was considered "afflicted" they were adamant in holding him until this "outbreak" was contained. Which meant far more time spent with lower class than he was preferential to. It was almost like a day spent with Alice. How he hated those. Sighting the nurses going into a small panic, he wondered the cause. Sure enough, the queen herself came in the quarantined space. Thank Lindt. Maybe he'd get out of here soon then.

Blood splattered her face and she sat there with a shocked look as the body of the man collapsed in front of her. The warmth of the blood as it was slowly cooling made her stare before she stood up and glanced around the area, her eyes scanning the crowd for where it came from before she quickly made her way over to her husband and pulled out a handkerchief, holding it to his wound.

“Are you alright?” she whispered to her husband before frowning. “That bullet… it was meant for me, wasn’t it?” She looked around the area. “We better get to a safer ground… who knows if more are coming.” She tied the handkerchief around his wound. Even if that bullet was meant for her, her husband had still gotten hit. She did not like that one bit.

Location: Alvheim-Lumérys - Castle - Meeting with Master and Mistress Alvey
Out of Knives: N/A

tab tab "If I may speak, my lord and lady," Curtis started. He knew very well the concerns of the lady. It was a valid worry to have. He would wait for the nod from Master Alvey before pursuing the topic. "The High Families have very good reason to see the pair of you fail. However, I am certain as of this moment you have nothing to fear from their endeavors. Acting now would obviously arouse suspicion in their direction, something any good politician of Alvheim would rather not have. Suspicion is often equivalent to guilt in the eye of the people, and assurance of political uprising should their plan succeed."

tab tab He would let his lord continue to speak, but he hoped the small interjection would prove of some benefit. It wasn't the most positive response, but only a fool would sugarcoat such an obvious truth of the matter. Besides, most of their ideas involved Master Alvey taking the fall. If he proved to be trouble, then they might start making other plans. He took note of her reactions, studying her personality with a casual eye. Curtis wished to make himself useful to her as he was to Master Alvey. So far no one had dared to approach their meeting. He hoped they would keep it that way.

Misu gave a warm smile, seeing her newly betrothed was coming over to greet her. "And good morning to you, my sir." He asked if she had slept well while putting his hand on her cheek. The night was pretty eventful, but she did eventually find time to fall asleep. With a small nod, Misu gently placed her hand on the one that was gracing her cheek, "Yes I did. Did you sleep well too?" She hoped that she didn't do anything that would warrant something in the lines of separate rooms. She had gotten over her habit of sleep smacking a long time ago and after last night she didn't have concerns, though she knew that their new duties would come up. But for now, she would enjoy this moment. He was handsome and she remembered seeing him before. 'Maybe if we get to know each other, things can work out.' Misu thought.

"I-I do apologize though. Normally I would remain in bed but I wasn't feeling well." her cheeks were flushed, not by any illnesses, "I suppose...first night jitters." 'Though I wish I did stay in bed.' A small smile appeared, it was so toasty warm that she didn't want to get up at first. It was something nice for a change and she hoped to have again.

"So...what would you like today? We haven't been asked to perform our royal duties yet. Maybe..." she smiled warmly, "We could get to know each other more or whatever you like to to." it was true. She was rather curious about him. She had made several trips to his kingdom to ensure the safe arrival of fish, but never could stay long enough.

From what he could tell, the day had been fine. All up to this point, everything had been fine.

And now some idiot has to go about trying to assassinate the Lady.

The butler could feel his eye twitch in irritation as he left quickly even before Radon could even issue his orders. Of course, today of all days, someone would get shot. Thank god he always brings the first aid kit with him. The Royal family had always been…unpredictable, but being shot at is a first (unless you’re talking about idiot children playing with real guns, which happen a lot). The bullet that had lodged itself in the wall had been retrieved, wrapped in a clean handkerchief, and in his pocket as the butler made his way to his employer, “The bullet has been retrieved.

Oliver had silently urged the Queen aside so he could properly address the bullet wound. The bandage job was oddly quick and professional for a butler, but aside from that… Oliver took the handkerchief the queen had used for a makeshift bandage.

My lady, I shall have it cleaned and returned to you once we return to the castle.

The carriage they had arrived in had been parked relatively close to the event…just in case someone wasn’t feeling well and wanted to leave early.

☢► Radon hissed as his wound was being treated, "Good Job Oliver, send it to the doctors, determine if its an illegal bullet, I may need further medical attention if its a poisonous material" said Radon, he could hear the man hunt going on down there, "It's unclear if I was the target or you but by the looks of it, it seems you were marked for death my dear" said Radon, he got a handkerchief of his own, "There has been civil unrest within Horagalles, some don't agree with the peace treaty and arranged marriage, they see it as a stun in Horagalles growth and that Horagalles should instigate another war for a bigger arms race" said Radon as he wiped his wife's face clean of that blood, "My.... Our people, need to learn that there is more than just building weapons, we need medicine, we need agriculture, we need so much more and I was hoping to change that, slowly, till that day, I'll enforce our tradition" said Radon as he got up, "Let's go inside, less likely to be shot there..." said Radon as he ordered the guards to remove the body and cover them.

As Leda entered the quarantined area, she could see maid begin to fuss that she was here among the ill. She could only smile and wave away their concerns - she was perfectly fine being here. Greeting the first patient, she began treating him right away. As she was nearing the end of the treatment, she caught sight of a familiar face across the room. Wrapping up the treatment, she made sure the patient was comfortable before making her way across. "Seth!" she called, sitting down in a chair next to him, giving him an apologetic glance. "I'm terribly sorry that you had to be caught up in this mess. I pray this will all be over soon." She promptly began healing him after she spoke, not wanting him to be uncomfortable during his impromptu stay in Ilim.
