Welcome to Gaia! ::

When Jack dried himself off, Sol's smile fell away into a look of shock. That meant this kid had powers too - which shouldn't be that surprising, considering his little brother was a lightning eleman. Then, as he did the same for Bobby, Sol whistled and broke out into a grin.

"s**t, kid," he said, laughter in his eyes, "that's somethin' else. Least you won't be trailin' water into my ship." He turned his head and faced his first mate, who was standing protectively next to Xanth. "K'lai. I want you ta come along, too."

"Yes, sir. And what of Xanth?"

"He can tag along. Ain't got much work for him today." He turned back to Jack and Bobby. "Right. You two, follow me. We'll discuss matters indoors." Motioning for them to follow him, he headed inside the ship again, leading the way to his quarters.
Jack just gave a nod and followed Sol deeper into the ship, giving Bobby a nudge so he'd walk next to him instead of directly in front of him. He didn't want to trip, after all. He glanced up at Sol, wondering exactly what the man would ask... and having a few questions for himself of course. He looked an awful lot like Cyrus, and with that similar last name, there was a high chance they were related. That and he had to know how Bobby had been doing here: was he eating right, had he had any attacks, were they taking care of him... and of course, when would he be able to take Bobby back home.

Meanwhile, Bobby wasn't thinking much of anything. The way Jack made it sound, it seemed like he'd been brought here by that Kari girl. He felt so happy to see Jack again...! He hadn't even realized how much he'd missed him. Even though Jack had given him a nudge, Bobby was more of less ignoring it as he walked closely alongside the taller eleman.

Still, for a moment before they began walking, he shot a glance back at Xanth. A part of him wanted to go back over to Xanth and keep him company, but... well, Xanth seemed to have K'lai right now. Plus, he couldn't just leave Jack to walk alone, so he stayed by his side.
After a short trip through the halls, Sol opened a door to the captain's quarters. Just as before, it was the most decorated room on the ship, although it was still plainer than it could have been. Maps and trinkets still lined the walls, the rug was still on the floor. Sol strode around behind the desk, seated himself in the wooden chair, and leaned back as he waited for the rest of them to gather.

When they'd all entered the room and K'lai closed the door, Sol finally addressed Jack again. "So, Jack, you said a girl brought'cha here? Who was she? How'd you end up in the water like that? Why here, 'f all places?"
Jack entered the room and took a few glances around, taking in the sights. The only boats he'd ever been on were the luxury sort, so this was certainly a change of pace. When Sol began to speak, he looked back at him. The questions were to be expected, but the chances of him believing his answers was another thing altogether.

"The girl who brought me here is a friend of a friend, named Hoshikyo. She's used to travelling between worlds, and... well, honestly, I wasn't expecting to appear in another world at all." He glanced down at Bobby and frowned. "When I learned Bobby disappeared, I went around and tried to find him. When that didn't work, I asked Hoshikyo for her help. She was able to bring me as close to where Bobby was, but I guess she didn't take into consideration whether he was on something that was moving or not."
Resting his elbows on the desk, Sol leaned forward and listened to Jack's explanation. The name Hoshikyo rang a bell, and combined with those world-traveling powers, that meant she had to be the girl who took Cyrus and Quinn... wherever they went. And Bobby knew Quinn, and if Jack was Bobby's brother, then he probably did too. It was almost too much to think was real - but considering everything he'd seen so far, things just go stranger and stranger.

"Alright," he said, frowning thoughtfully. "But when Bobby showed up 'ere, there was no fanfare like this. He landed safe an' sound on the ship. Bet she wasn't th' one who dropped Bobby here, though. If she was, she could'a just told you he was here."
Jack shook his head and sighed, "I wish I knew the answer to that myself. Then again, I know Hoshikyo isn't the only person who can travel between worlds, or force people to other worlds without them even knowing..." He trailed off for a moment before looking down at Bobby and smiling, setting his hand on the other boy's head.

"Well... I guess it doesn't matter so much how he got here, now. Once Hoshikyo decides to head back here, Bobby and I'll be back in our world safe and sound." Looking back up at Sol, he continued, "I don't wanna keep inconveniencing you, but would you mind if we stuck around here a few more days? Not many other places save for swimming in the water." He chuckled.

Meanwhile, Bobby wasn't sure what to think right now. He hadn't thought about it until just now, but if Jack was here, that meant he could go back home! He'd get to see his sisters again, his brothers, and his mother...!

He'd never see Xanth again.

Right away that one thought took over everything else. Xanth, the only real friend he's ever made who he wasn't directly related to. He reached up to grab onto Jack's hand, but quickly recoiled. It wasn't the same. He let his eyes fall to the ground and bit his lip, lost in this thoughts while the other men were talking.
