XXXXXXXXXXXX "Oh everyone wants to just set me up with Mike alright." Cassandra said looking over at Mike who was currently glancing back and forth at them whenever Jessica couldn't keep his attention. Poor Jess, she could feel her. At times she was desperate to talk to Edward, and it hurt when he was ignoring her because of something she might have done. Taking a deep breath casually she looked over at Angela who was trying to calm Eric down. It was funny really. He had been freaking out about an idea for an upcoming fundraiser. Maybe she would help him out later during gym or something. Currently she was being held hostage by Edward, which she didn't mind at all. Looking back over at Edward, she smiled at his previous comment about Newton. It was fun just joking around about him. But it was all in good heart.

XXXXXXXXXXXXBut she was honestly relieved when Edward had said that he wasn't mad at her. And yes, part of her was completely confused. Why was he acting like that towards her then? Cassandra thought about that as he said something about her saying he was asking a lot of 'why' questions. She wasn't really paying attention as she was just looking at him with almost awe for a moment. It was like she was staring back at him for the first time when she came to the school. Taking a deep breath as she got out of the trans, she looked at him. "Well that’s a sudden change from the past few days. I was starting to think that I was going to sound crazy to everyone engaging myself in conversation with you, without you really replying back to me." She said with a bit of a laugh thinking about Monday in biology. Ha, how everyone would back off her if they knew she was psychotic indeed.

XXXXXXXXXXXXCassandra was hungry, yes. But like she had thought before, it can wait. And she was going to. Her eyes weren't going to leave Edward at all. She was going to Port Angeles with her friends today, and she knew that she would get something to eat there while they were shopping anyways. Even a little snack would hold her up till when they ate later during the day. So there was no reason for Edward to worry about her eating or not. But she had to admit, that was quiet nice of him to think about her like that. It was actually the first time someone had said that to her. Ha, almost as if he was some sort of prince charming from a fairy tale book. Prince charming, yeah she could see Edward pass as that. It made her smile in amusement, but only showed Edward a faint smile when he said for her to eat if she was hungry. Like she would ever tell Edward what she was thinking about him. He'd think she was crazy.

XXXXXXXXXXXX "Curious, huh?" Cassandra said making a face as she knew that the period was going to be ending soon. It was okay, they still had class together. "Well you know, curiosity killed the cat....I think." Cassandra said looking away for a minute and thinking if that was right. Ah, she think it was at least. Shrugging she smiled and looked back over at him. "I would have picked a better pick up line if the time was right." Cassandra said not able to hold back her laugh back. It was stupid. Cassandra trying to hit on Edward with cheesy lines. And out of all of them, she had to pick that one. Jeez, talking about being completely lame. But hey, it was all for amusement. Hopefully he didn't take it to any offense and didn't think she was that lame and stop talking to her. And hopefully he would get the joke behind it and she wouldn't be the only one finding it amusing in her little world. But she couldn't help why she was acting like an idiot all the time when around him.

XXXXXXXXXXXX "I knew it, you are a kind considerate fellow student." Cassandra said smiling holding back a laugh. She looked away for a moment as she took a deep breath with a smile and looked back over at Edward. She had no idea that Edward had skipped class as well. But it was still really nice of him to even think that-even if he was being completely sarcastic. Or maybe he just didn't want to be behind in his lab, she remembered they had to do one yesterday. Crap, she would have to make that up. But the amusement was all gone when she heard what he said afterwards about the two of them being friends. "What?" She said not sure if she heard the right. "Well its a good thing that I don't take your ideas to heart." She said simply as she tightened her muscles just a bit and then relaxed them. She couldn't just get upset over that. "But why is it that you think its not such a good idea for us to be friends? Am I....too weird for you?" Cassandra said with a weird face trying to understand.

EDWARDCULLEN Laughing a little Edward replied “You probably were going to be getting there soon.” He remembered how Monday she had started talking to him, and kept a conversation going steadily even though Edward wasn’t saying anything back or actually acknowledge that she was there beside him. He looked away from Casey for a second and back at the whole table that she usually sat at. They were all staring at the two of them. Mike was angry at Edward and Jessica was angry at Casey because Mike couldn’t seem to keep his eyes on her. He smiled a little and looked back at Casey. “Well I actually had a deliberate reason for wanting to talk to you yesterday, but it no longer applies.” Edward really had no idea what they should or could actually talk about. All he was going to do yesterday was to be careful walking around alone, anywhere. He didn’t think there was any reason for him to talk to her anymore, so why was he still yearning to hear her voice even though he shouldn’t. He sighed. Could he keep up his little charade after today? Could he try to ignore her again? He ran one of his hands through his hair and leaned onto his elbows on the table just a little bit, his chin rested in the palms of his hands. He didn’t lean very close to Casey.

EDWARDCULLENEdward smiled a little when she spoke. “Yes, I suppose you are correct; curiosity might have killed the cat. I don’t recall being a feline, though. ” Edward laughed a little bit. He was joking with her, yet there again there was a separate meaning behind the words he had said. In the eyes of a human his kind could be compared to a feline; graceful elegant creatures. He smiled a little wider. “A pick up line?” he smiled a bit more. “Do you really believe those would work on me?” Edward smiled playfully he knew what she was talking about, he was just joking with her. He tilted his head a tad bit to the side, his chin still resting in his hands. He let his eyes wonder over what Casey was wearing. She had her hair pulled back into a ponytail and she had on a loose grey long-sleeved shirt. Edward thought back for a moment, he couldn’t recall what pants she was wearing or what shoes. He didn’t even know why he now seemed to be so interested in everything about her. He still hadn’t gotten an answer to his question to her last Friday about why she had moved her, and she seemed to refuse to answer the question about who she was with yesterday.

EDWARDCULLENEdward let his amused and playful expression fade from his face and left a blank and serious look. “Maybe you should, though. I promise you it would be in your best interest.” He took a deep breath and leaned back against the back of the chair he was sitting in so he was no longer leaning on the table. ‘You can ask your buddies that you were hanging out with yesterday about that. They would probably agree.’ Edward shook his head a little, a hint of a smile coming to his lips. “No you aren’t too weird for me. It’s just. . .” Edward’s eyebrows pulled together as he tried to think of the right words to say. “I’m not exactly who you think I am. I don’t want you to get hurt because of me” He glanced around the room for a second. His family had left and the room was starting to empty. The bell would ring soon. Edward looked back at Casey as he stood up and pushed his chair under the table.

EDWARDCULLEN“We should be heading off to class.” Edward leaned over and picked up his bag and slung it over his shoulder. He looked down at Casey and then to the phone that was still sitting in the middle of the table. He just left the phone there and turned away and started to walk towards the Biology room. Edward took a deep breath. Should he have really just walked away from her like? It wasn’t very kind of him as a usually polite person to just leave her there, they were going to the same class he should walk her there. But he really didn’t want their conversation going much further, and it might if he walked with her to class. If she wanted to talk about it she can in Biology today while they were supposed to be doing work.

EDWARDCULLENEdward walked into the Biology room. Even though he had thought about it he didn’t walk back to the classroom with Casey. He took a deep breath as he walked back to his seat and sat down. Mr. Banner looked back at him. “Nice to have you back, Edward. I will need to talk to you and Casey at the end of class that is if she is present today.” Edward just nodded and looked down at the black table top. Mike was probably happy that he had done that. It had probably made Casey mad that he had just got up and left like that. Was she even going to try and talk to him today? He sighed and bent down to get his book and notebook out of his bag for class.

XXXXXXXXXXXX "Gee, thanks for the comfort zone." Cassandra said tilting her head just a bit before setting it straight. She knew he was joking, or at least she really hoped that he was. Or maybe she should just stopped talking like that and he would think that she was normal. Was that the real reason why Edward didn't want to be friends with her? Because she was acting crazy and all? No wonder she never went to public school! Great. Taking a deep mental breath, she tried to forget about that thought. Now that would be in the back of her mind for a while until she got ride of that stupid habit of talking to herself to get someone's attention--even though it was just a joke and all. So did that mean she need to be careful about the jokes that she did with him? No wait! That couldn't be it. Edward joked around with her too sometimes, even though his were a bit safer with them. Crap, she was starting to be crazy. Taking another breath, she calmed herself again with a smile looking over at Edward when he mentioned that he conscious reason for talking to her the other day besides the letter. Well that lifted her spirits up a bit more. That showed that maybe just a part of Edward wanted to still be friends with her if he was going to talk to her before hand.

XXXXXXXXXXXX “Really? And what reason might that be? Out of curiosity of course.” Cassandra said with an innocent smile. Maybe that wasn’t the best thing to say. “Wait, I take that back. Just because I want to know.” Cassandra replied back quickly after. She figured that Edward would pull that curiosity killed the cat deal again. So if she said it this way, he might just say something else, like maybe the answer this time. But she watched him as he moved. Leaning on the table and placing his chin in his palm. She smiled a bit more before letting it go. She figured that this was probably going to be the closest they would get. In Biology he seemed to keep his space between the two, even during the labs. Thinking about it made her a little upset. But she forgot about it. No point in dwindling about things that made her upset, right? But still, something giggled in her stomach that just made her smiled at Edward when he made that movement, she really wasn't sure why. Maybe it was that crazy side of her again. But just as she had thought that, Edward said something amusing.

XXXXXXXXXXXXHe said that he didn't recall being a feline. But for some reason, Edward reminded her of one more than ever now. "That might be true, but for some reason your perfect grace as well as your families reminds me of one." Cassandra said with a small laugh as she looked over his shoulder just a bit to see his family sitting at their usual table. She only looked for a second; she didn't want to get caught before she looked back over at Edward. "Plus, I can believe that whole nine lives thing. It might be a better explanation." Cassandra said not really hinting about the incident on Friday, but of course linking too that. She didn't want to stay on that topic too long and let the mood be ruined, so she quickly changed her attitude and thoughts towards the pick up line thought. She let out a bit of an embarrassed laugh. "It was worth a short, right? Apparently every girl tried here in the school so I might as well to keep the tradition going." Cassandra said trying to cover up the faint embarrassment she had with a smile and looking away just for a second so she could regain herself.

XXXXXXXXXXXX "A lot of people promise that it would be in my best interest, but I'm tired of listening" Cassandra said as she then followed the same movement Edward did and leaned back in her own chair, her hands on her lap resting. She studied him carefully as he spoke again. Saying that it wasn't her at all being weird, but it was himself or something. "How about letting me get to know you then?" Cassandra said when Edward said he wasn't exactly who she thought he was. She just thought he was a complete super model looking human being with a pms problem sometimes. But that was just a stupid thought of course. He seemed normal to her, well besides the fact that he saved her life that one day. Okay, scratch that, he wasn't that normal as she thought about it now. But that didn't bother her, what so ever. "Well then how about this? The only way you will hurt me is if you’re not my friend. Does that help in anyway for us to be friends?" Cassandra said trying to be at least a little bit hopeful.

XXXXXXXXXXXXBut when he said that they should head off to class, she looked around to see that the cafeteria was basically empty. "Crap." She said to herself annoyed as she watched as Edward got up and was heading towards class. She looked over at the cell phone that was sitting there. "Great. I should have left first." Cassandra said to herself as she got her books and bag. She grabbed the cell phone and headed on right after Edward towards their biology class. Oh how she hopped that Mr. Banner wouldn't have anything to say to her missing class, but knowing the man, she knew he was going to bring it up sometime sooner or later. Walking out of the cafeteria she walked to her biology class only to hear the end of Mr. Banners request for him wanting to talk to them after class. Why Edward too? Cassandra just smiled a bit at the old man before nodding saying that she would stay after class as he wished for her to do to speak with them.

XXXXXXXXXXXXGetting to her table, she looked over at Edward. She stared at him for a good minute before letting her thoughts go and sitting down. Guess he wasn't at all bothered that he just up and left like that. Taking the cell phone out again, she placed it right between then. "So?" Cassandra said as she looked back at Edward. There were still a few minutes before class started so she still wanted to talk to him. Ha, like he was going to win that easily with her around. "Friends?" Cassandra said peeking a bit over at him a bit more to see if she would get her answer.

EDWARDCULLEN“I was just going to warn you about something. It doesn’t matter now, though.” Edward laughed a little at the fact that she changed her words around so that he couldn’t say the same thing she had. He looked at her for a second she still hadn’t answered his question to him. He took a deep breath. “So since I answered one of your questions could you please answer one of mine?” He smiled a little bit. Hopefully by his saying this it didn’t start the conversation from the hospital Friday back up. He Didn’t think she would try and talk about it in the cafeteria, he though it wasn’t very private which is what she seemed to have wanted the last time they talked.

EDWARDCULLENEdward sat completely still when Casey started talking. She did see it. After a couple of seconds he calmed himself down and started breathing again. “I remind you of a cat?” Edward smiled a little. He looked at her for a little while before saying anything else. "I might not have many lives left if I continue following you around." Edward said jokingly. Sitting at lunch with a vampire, skipping school with werewolves, and almost being crushed by a falling room it looked like she was the one that was running out of lives, not Edward. He laughed again when Casey said something about keeping up the tradition. He just shook his head. "Keeping with the tradition?" He smiled and shifted in his seat a little. He watched Casey look away from him for a moment. He just continued to look at her, wandering what she was thinking. It felt so odd not knowing.

EDWARDCULLENEdward's eyebrows pulled together. "Do you not trust me? I am not lying to you. I can tell you that is the truth, that it truly would be better if you didn't associate yourself with me." He trusted her with far more then what he was asking her to trust him with. Did she not trust him or was this all just in his mind. Maybe she did trust him she was just tired of him changing his mind all the time. One day he is talking to her then the next he isn't. Edward took a deep breath and looked away from Casey for a moment only to let his eyes move back over to where she was sitting when she spoke again. She wanted to get to know him? He just looked at her for a moment. Trying to decide if he should even respond to what she said. He took a deep breath. He couldn't even find the right words to say. There was nothing that he could say that would sound logical and would be the truth. He didn't wan to like to her. A part of him longed for her to learn more about him, to grow closer to him, and another part ─ the less selfish part ─ wanted to push her away, wanted her to know nothing about him besides the rumors that were told around the school. The things that didn't mean anything.

EDWARDCULLENEdward looked at Casey as she spoke and he shook his head. "You can't be sure of that. You don't know hardly anything about me, how do you know that me not being your friend would hurt you. You never know it might just be better in the long run if you just forgot about me right now and went on with your life." He was still sending warnings to her though his words. She didn't seem to catch them at all the first time. How was he supposed to resit talking to her, becoming her friend, or worse loving her if all she wants to do is encourage the monster. He took a deep breath and looked over at her. He had to find a way to tell her ─ without actually telling her ─ that he was dangerous. That he was no good for her. Maybe he should have helped Newton out and wrote that stupid little note in his hand writing.

EDWARDCULLENEdward sat in his seat in the biology classroom. Before Mr. Banner could finish what he was saying to Edward Casey had walked into the room. She had just stood there next to her seat and looked at him for a minute. Oh what Edward would have given in that specific moment to be able to hear her thoughts. She finally sat down and then did something Edward had not really expected her to do. She took the cell phone that he had already tried to give her twice already out and set it between them om their desk. She still wanted to know if they were going to be friends or not. At the moment Edward knew he wouldn't be able to give her any straight forward answers. This wasn't as simple as 'yes' or 'no'. Everything he did around he had to put serious thought into. Maybe he could get away with a just a joke right now. He glanced down a the phone for a second then back up to Casey. "And you said I asked a lot questions earlier. You are just sitting here hammering these questions into me. I hardly see how that is fair." Edward smiled at her, trying to lighten the mood between the two.

XXXXXXXXXXXXCassandra thought for a moment as they sat in class now. She thought about what they were talking about in the cafeteria. Her eyes went to the clock, they had five minutes before class was actually suppose to start. And no, she didn't forget her question about them being friends. She just wanted him to think, he seemed to like that a lot when answering one of her questions - if that he decided to answer it, that was. Looking ahead again, she smiled a bit to see Mike looking back over at her and waving. She just replied back to him with that same smile. Her hand was currently preoccupied with her side chin resting in her palm. The other one was tapping at the desk with some unknown beat in her mind.

XXXXXXXXXXXXShe didn't know why Edward was acting this way. From the way he was speaking he seemed to genially seem to take care of her in some way. He so called warned about little things even though it might be a joke. She only looked back over at him from the corner of her eyes, remembering him say that he answered one of her questions, so it would only be fair if she answered one of his. Like which one? The one about who she was with yesterday? Ha, she knew he'd like to know that. Maybe she should just let him suffer playfully on that like the way he made her sometimes with his major mood swings. It was really giving her some major head aches sometimes as she thought about it. Taking a deep breath, she looked away from Edward and then back over at the clock, only a minute passed by? Her thoughts went back to the conversation that they were having before again, something about him being a cat. It was amusing to her. And her life wasn't as dangerous as he was jokingly it to be! Okay so sue her, a roof was going to fall and kill her.

XXXXXXXXXXXXBut when Cassandra started to hear Edward talk again as they were in the classroom, she looked over at him, completely looking dumb stuck. Was she really asking that many questions? It really didn't seem like she was to herself. She only had to smile at his comment though. "Well I'm just trying to figure this mystery out. I'm not much of a real detective, but once I'm hooked on something, its hard for me to let it go." Cassandra said with a bit of a softer smile before she let it go. She wouldn't give in yet. No, she couldn't. It would probably just break her heart, he wasn't interested in her at all- and here she was trying so damn hard to get his attention on her most of the time. Oh how she had no idea. "As you were saying something before in the cafeteria, it’s not that I don't trust you, but I know that you’re lying, or trying to hide something from me. And yeah I have no idea why you say this -- that it'd be best if we didn't associate, but honestly, you probably are the most interesting that has happened to me here. I'd probably die of boredom if it wasn't for you." And that was completely true, she probably would. Heck, she couldn't even see herself lasting in this place if it wasn't for Edward. And ha! She just answered his question too, so they were even.

XXXXXXXXXXXXCassandra then looked away from Edward and took a deep breath, closing her eyes for a moment as she thought before looking over at him, turning her body just a bit. "I trust you completely to be my friend, why don't you see that? I feel like your placing this fake façade up of yourself to make people leave you alone." Cassandra said looking at him as she paused at what she was saying and looked just a bit over at the clock to see class would start any second again now. "And you’re kind of too late for asking me to not be your friend. I think it would hurt in the long run if we weren't friends. And I think I'm right." Cassandra said with a grin as she looked back over at him lightening the mood again. Her eyes went back to the phone. "So. Friends, then?" Cassandra said almost making him want to be friends with her. It was like Edward had no will sometimes in her mind. Ha, it was funny. But it was hard for anyone to back away from Cassandra from what she wants.

XXXXXXXXXXXXJust as she had said that, Mr. Banner started to talk about what they were going to be doing. They were going to be working on the second part of lab today. She looked ahead at the board and noticed that they still had to do the first part, which she figured they would be doing instead of what the other students were doing. So that only left them working on the second part together later after school Friday. Thank god it wasn't today, she didn't want to cancel on her friends going to Port Angeles. Plus, she wanted to check out the shops that they had- maybe she could find something that would catch her eye. And of course get something to eat. Just as she thought about food, she heard her stomach growl. Placing her hand quickly on her stomach, she turned herself on her chair to sit probably, hiding a bit of an embarrassed laugh coming out. Ha, man did she hope that Edward didn't hear that. That would even worse. He'd probably say something sarcastic about that. Who ever thought that Edward Cullen would actually be like that? Actually be just the perfect guy.

EDWARDCULLENEdward watched as Mr. Banner talked to the rest of the class saying that they were going to do the second part to the lab they were working on today, and they were going to be going outside. After he told the rest of the class to make their way outside he walked over to Casey and Edward’s table where the two were still sting. “You two will be fine here while I am outside with the rest of the students, right?” Mr. Banner said as he set a packet down in the middle of the table. Edward nodded a little. Mr. Banner looked at the cell phone that was still on the table between the two, and then he looked from Edward to Casey for a second. Then he just shook his head ‘Kids today,’ The man took a deep breath and turned. He started to walk out of the classroom, but he stopped in the door way. ‘I’ll be coming back to check on you periodically, just in case you need some help . So you two better work and not goof off.” Edward smiled a little “Yes, sir.” Mr. Banner then turned around and walked out of the room. He kept the door open as he walked out. He would tell the teachers around the classroom to keep an eye on the two of them.

EDWARDCULLENEdward looked down at the packet that Mr. Banner had sat down on the desk. It was something about the environment. They would probably need their books; Mr. Banner really didn’t give the two actual directions. But it wouldn’t be hard to figure out. The directions are usually the same when Mr. Banner gives the class packets. ‘Find the answers in your books, there are page numbers on the papers. Don’t ask me what page you need to be on!’ Edward laughed a little bit. He looked up from the paper to Casey. She has said something about figuring out a mystery, and the mystery had something to do with Edward. “I really wish you wouldn’t. There isn’t much to find out,” ‘that you would actually want to figure out.’ Edward took a deep breath and looked out one of the windows for a second. He could see the some of the other students outside looked around. He could see Mike Newton too and the boy was looking straight at him. What is that boy doing? Mike’s lab partner came over and pulled him by his arm back towards were they should be. Edward shook his head a little and looked back over at Casey.

EDWARDCULLENEdward pursed his lips and looked back down at the packet on the desk. What was he supposed to say to her? He looked back over at Casey. “Really? You really think that? Why would I lie to you about something like that? I am telling you that it would be better for you, not for more. For all you know I could really want to be your friend, but I know that it wouldn’t be the best thing for you.” Edward didn’t say anything about trying to hide something from her. His whole family hides things from every single person human or vampire that they meet. Why should Casey be any different? Something in the back of his mind shouted ‘Because you love her,’ Edward pulled himself out of his thoughts and looked at Casey. He raised his eye brows at her. “Would you rather die of boredom or because of someone’s lack of judgment?” He questioned her. He didn’t really expect her to answer any of his questions though. It seemed that she refused to say anything that revealed something about her, but she doesn’t have a second though to asking things to him that would reveal a lot more than she probably wanted to know. Technically she had answered one of his questions, but not one of the ones he really wanted an answer to, he sighed.

EDWARDCULLENShaking his head, Edward replied to Casey “It’s not fake. There are things about me that make people want to leave me alone.” He wasn’t totally lying to her. Even though his kind did look, talk, and even smell the way they do to draw humans towards them, humans can also feel that there is something wrong about them. Edward looked at Casey for a moment. Well most humans did. It didn’t seem that Casey has any problem at all sitting here in a room all by herself with him. Edward laughed a little bit “You have no idea what you are talking about, or trying to get yourself into.” He picked up his pen and moved the packet over towards them. They had not been talking long, less than five minutes probably. He wrote both his and Casey’s name down on the paper. Then he looked back over at Casey as she said something about being friends once again. “I am not going to answer that question, because I cannot give you a straight forward or even a true answer and I am guessing you want my reply to be both of those.” Edward moved a little to get his biology book out of his bag. He set it down next to him and opened it to the page that was on the top of the packet.

EDWARDCULLENEdward heard Casey’s stomach growl. He looked from the book over to her face, with a disapproving expression. “I told you that you should have gotten something to eat, but it seems you are reluctant to listen or take into consideration anything that I say.” He said shaking his head a little bit. Casey still had a whole two hours of school left that she was just going to have to sit there and be hungry. Edward was absently thinking that Casey was going to throw another question his way. She knew that he wasn’t at school yesterday now, because they wouldn’t be in the classroom right now making up the lab if he had been at school yesterday. He just smiled a little bit and took a deep breath looking back down at the paper. “Do you want to start working on this?”

XXXXXXXXXXXXSo the class was going outside? Cassandra looked over at Mike who seemed to have looked like a lost puppy afraid to leave the classroom. She had to smile at that, did he care for her that much? Or did he just not trust Edward, the man who said that she shouldn't be around him. Rolling her eyes in her mind, she just smiled over at Mike who looked back over at her. Why was he giving her that look? Shrugging it off, she looked back over at Mr. Banner who was giving the instructions to the rest of the students that would be outside doing the lab. Guess that part would be on Friday for them. Aw how cute, the two of them alone together in the yard with a million worms all around. Part of that image made Cassandra just quickly shut up in her thoughts. She wasn't sure why and what part, but she stopped thinking about it. It was bring up weird feelings for her some reason. To be alone with Edward, even though it was just for something for school. Now that thought ran again in her mind and she simply leaned her chin over her palm a bit and leaned against the table thinking about it with a smile on her face. God was she acting a little silly right now.

XXXXXXXXXXXXCassandra looked over at Mr. Banner however when he started to head their way. She looked down at the packet and cringed at how thick it was as Edward and he were talking. She looked over back at him when he was leaving to catch what he was saying and just simply smiled her innocent smile at him to assure him their work would be done. Once he was gone, she looked back over at Edward. "You may say that there isn't much to find out, but I really don't believe that. I guess you can say I got that from my sister seeing how she’s a reporter or whatever, but still...I rather go for my gut feeling." Cassandra said as she looked over at Edward when he said that there wasn't much to find out. What was he hiding? He had to be. Or maybe she was being overly observant and he had nothing to hide. No-that couldn't be. From all that happened, there had to be something. Just like how she thought that Jaiden was hiding something from her. But his something didn't seem so important now compared to Edward's something. And she just wished she didn't have to call that something, 'something,' she wanted to know what it was.

XXXXXXXXXXXX "Well stop telling me what would be better for me. I can handle myself. Why don't you be selfish a little and lighten up. Do whatever you want to do. Like me." Cassandra said looking back over at him. She did do whatever she wanted almost. Here she was talking to Edward throughout all the time that he was trying to ignore her and tell her that they shouldn't be friends or sorts. Like she was going to listen to him. Just because someone told her to do something, didn't mean she would. Sue her; she was just a little selfish. But she really did want to get to know Edward more than he was leading on. She wasn't even sure why either. "Because of someone’s lack of judgment?" Cassandra said looking over at Edward with a bit of a glare but was still as friendly. She let it go before looking back down at the packet, and leaning over the side of the table she took out her book. She somewhat threw it on the table, but didn't really mean to. It was a heavy and it just made that noise. She turned it around so it was the right way before opening it.

XXXXXXXXXXXX "Yeah, probably those mood swings you have." Cassandra said with a bit of a joking smile when he said that there were things about him that made people want to leave him alone. She didn't really believe that so much. She did believe that they seemed a bit intimidating for people to go up to them however. "Well I don't see anything frightening about you-or your family that makes me want to stay away. Me being here in the same room alone-sitting next to you with out a worry, shows it. Do you want more proof that you’re really not that bad of a person?" Cassandra said turning her body just a bit to face him as he started to write their names on the packet. She only looked down for a moment to see the neat and clean handwriting before she looked back over at him. "I think I do know what I'm talking about. Or well I'm going too sooner or later." She said confusing herself for a moment before she let it go. "Well at least I won't be so bored after doing all my homework at home. I’ll have a bit more to look into.” She said to Edward letting him know that she wasn’t going to give up just because he was giving her a warning. Like that had worked before.

XXXXXXXXXXXX “How hard is it to give a straight forward answer about being friends? Its either you hate me, or you actually want to be friends with me. It’s not that hard.” Cassandra said turning her self to sit straight again and look at the first problem that they had on the packet. Her eyes scanned the book and quickly found it. She was about to write it down until she realized that he heard her stomach. She looked at him frozen hearing what he said. She just made an ‘hmp’ noise as she looked back to her book again. “Well sorry.” Cassandra said sarcastically. When Edward said for the two of them to work on the packet she just nodded a bit looking over at him from the corner of her eyes. “Found the first answer, its here.” Cassandra said pointing to the line in her text book. When she was going to look fully at Edward she saw something in the corner of her eyes that made her pause for a moment. Was that Jaiden outside in the distance? Cassandra looked at Edward for a second before looking back outside to notice that Jaiden wasn’t there anymore. Was she seeing things? Just as she was thinking of that and looking at the other students outside, she just realized something.

XXXXXXXXXXXX “Hey wait a minute.” Cassandra said looking over at Edward. “You weren’t here yesterday either! Why else are you doing this lab with me? Oh wow. Seriously?” Cassandra said with a mixture of feelings in her laugh. One for confusion of maybe seeing Jaiden in the distance. Two of Edward nagging her about missing class, and three…well she just needed to get it out.

EDWARDCULLENEdward’s eyes narrowed a bit and he looked in Casey’s direction. “I am only trying to warn you because I know more about what you are trying to get yourself into than you know. I am just trying to help you out, and actually if I were being totally selfless than I wouldn’t even be sitting here right now.” Edward paused for a minute looking away from Casey back out towards the windows. He knew what it was that brought him back to Forks. It was selfishness. Him wanted to see her again, and now look at what he had gotten the two of them into. He sighed and closed his eyes just a little. Taking a deep fiery breath and added to what he had just said “and if I were being selfish and just did whatever I wanted to. . .” Edward paused again opening his eyes and looking back over at Casey. “you probably wouldn’t be sitting here right now.” After Edward had spoken he realized that there could be a double meaning to what he had said. One of them Casey was more likely to draw a conclusion to. It could mean what he meant to start with, if he was totally selfish and let the monster ─ that he fought so hard sometimes to restrain ─ out, and Casey would be dead right now. Edward shuddered a bit even at the thought of the vision that Alice had seen just a couple of days ago. Or Casey might think that he is saying that, if she was being selfish he wouldn’t have saved her. Like he was being selfless when he did that, he had put his whole family in danger as well as Casey. Just so that he could save her, he truly didn’t know what he was thinking when he did that. All he saw was Casey about to be crushed to death and she was just standing there frozen, he had to do something. Edward looked away from Casey and down to the rather large packet that Mr. Banner had given them to work on, he let his eyes scan over the page.

EDWARDCULLENLaughing, Edward looked back up at Casey. He had a feeling she would say that. Why had he even said it in the first place if he knew the reaction she was going to give him? “I was almost sure that is what you were going to say. So you would rather die because of someone else’s actions? Humm. That might be a good thing since you seem to so desire to become friends with me.” Edward said laughing a little bit, but this time there wasn’t any real humor in his laugh. He knew that if she died any time soon it would probably be because of him. He was trying yet again to send more warnings to Casey, though she seems to never receive them the way he intended him to, and sometimes he doesn’t want her to get what he is saying. Again with what his selfless side wants and what his selfish side wants.

EDWARDCULLENEdward smiled again “What are you talking about ‘mood swings’?” He paused for a moment thinking about it. He did seem to change his mind to often around her. He wants her to run away from him and get as far as she can one minute, and then the next he just wants her to stay with him. “Okay, never mind I do see what you are talking about. . . I don’t know. That might just be one of the reasons that everyone besides my family seems to want to avoid me. Everyone except for you, that is.” Edward smiled a little bit running one of his hands through his hair. He looked at Casey questionably after what she had said. That was proof that she trusted him or either has no self preservation skills, not that he isn’t a bad person. He watched as Casey turned towards him, was she trying to get closer. They were farther away from each other then they were at lunch when Edward had leaned on the table. Did she want to be close to him? “I don’t think that is one-hundred percent correct. You haven’t seen anything to be frightened of us. And you sitting here alone in this room with me either displays that you actually do trust me, or that you just don’t have any self-preservation instincts; that doesn’t prove that I am not a bad person.” Casey spoke again and Edward looked at her with a ‘what the hell are you talking about’ expression on his face. “What are you going to do? Go to the internet and look up ‘Edward Cullen’ to see if anything comes up about me doing bad criminal things when I was fifteen years old?” Edward said laughing again.

EDWARDCULLEN“Do you really see things in black and white, Casey? I would say it is somewhat more complicated than you make it out to be. I don’t hate you ─ I don’t think I ever could hate you ─ but I will always think it would be better if we weren’t friends.” Edward nodded when Casey showed him the first answer and he wrote it down on the paper. He looked down the paper, and then he glanced over to the book for a second. He used his index finger and his pinky finger to point out two separate things. “Here’s the second and third answer.” He wrote them down and continued to look down the paper filling in more answers.

EDWARDCULLENEdward looked up from the paper to Casey when she said something. He smiled at her. She had finally realized that he had not been at school yesterday. Edward just nodded a little bit. “Actually I was at school for first hour, then I left. I told you that I needed to tell you something that had been rather important yesterday. That is also how I knew that he weren’t sick. I went by your house and you weren’t there.” Edward smiled and looked back down at the paper writing in another answer. ‘I better go check on the other two.’ Edward looked up from the paper to the window again. He couldn’t see Mr. Banner but he could still hear him. “I am going inside to check on the other students. All of you be good out here, do you hear me?” Edward looked back over at Casey. “You might not want to talk for a couple of minutes. I think Mr. Banner is coming to check on us.” He looked back down at the paper pointing out another answer and writing it down. He almost had the first page completed.

EDWARDCULLENSoon after Edward had spoken to Casey Mr. Banner walked into the room. He stayed in the doorway and just looked in. “How are you do doing over there? Is everything okay? Do you have any questions for me?” Edward looked up from the work and looked at Mr. Banner. “No, sir. I think we have it under control.” Edward smiled at him and the man tried not to make a face at him. “Very well then. If you need any help feel free to ask one of the teachers next door.” Edward nodded and Mr. Banner walked back out of the room. When Edward was sure he was out of the building again he looked back up at Casey. “See? I told you that I can usually see things coming.” Edward said laughing quietly. He remembered what Casey had said that day when he had first told her that ‘Oh really? You can see anything that's coming?’ He shook his head a little and looked back down at the packet in front of him writing down the last answers on the first page pointing out the answers in the book to Casey.

σн|σн|sεε There is a lot of blue in this post. lol. Yay for dialog.

XXXXXXXXXXXX“So you know more than I do in what I’m getting myself into. Only another reason for me to actually figure out what it is you are hiding.” Cassandra said in response to Edward telling her that he is warning her. Honestly, did he have to keep saying that over and over? Apparently Edward was trying very hard for the two of them not to be friends. So did that mean she really had to give up? Give up on something that she had been trying to achieve so hard ever since she had come to the school? Ever since they first started to talk in class? Looking away from Edward and just reading the book a bit- almost as if she was trying to find her own answers in it, she looked back over at him, seeing how she completely failed at figuring out what to do. ‘If he was being totally selfless…’ Cassandra thought to herself as she looked at him again. So that did mean a part of him still wanted to talk to her right? So didn’t that mean that he still wanted to be friends with her? Ah ha! She should tell him that. But she figured that if she did, he would still find some way around it. Great. He was smart as everyone said that he was. How in the world was she going to get around him then? He’d probably figure out everything she would think of and have something to say back to it. “I probably wouldn’t be sitting here right now?” Cassandra said repeating what he said a bit confused. She thought about it, and for some reason it brought her back to Friday and the accident. Something was definitely up with Edward Cullen; she just didn’t know what and didn’t know how to figure it out just yet. Looking at him, she thought about Jaiden and Noah. Noah worked at the police station right? That’s what he had said. So what if she asked him about Edward? No, that wouldn’t work. He’d probably actually really look into it and it might just cause problems for all of them.

XXXXXXXXXXXX “Yes I would.” Cassandra said changing her mood a bit to a lighter one. “For a friend, I’d do almost anything…of course if I agree with it. For someone I love, there is absolutely no reason why I wouldn’t do anything for. I’d do everything for them.” She said smiling over at Edward thinking about it. She probably would do exactly that as well. And maybe, just maybe that might get her killed in the world that she thought that she was living in. She just thought the most anyone would do for their loved one was sacrifice something. And Cassandra was willing to do that when she was really in love. But for some reason as she was thinking about it, she couldn’t stop staring at Edward as if the answers were writing all over his face, and she just couldn’t figure it out.

XXXXXXXXXXXX “So then it should be no problem to become friends with you then. If you’re a danger magnet, then I’ll be your non-danger magnet….—” She thought about that and it sound off. “Wait that was a bad metaphor.” Cassandra said with a laugh as she shook her head. “Let’s just say I’m willing to be a danger magnet with you as well.” Cassandra said not knowing the hidden meaning in Edward’s words and looked over at him with a faint grin on her lips. She looked over at the window again just to see if she was seeing things clearly, which she was, and just noticed the other students doing their work as if nothing was up. “Well I am hard to get rid of. You might have to swing a bat behind my head just to knock me out enough to throw me out.” Cassandra said jokingly towards Edward when he said that mood swings would probably be one of the reasons why no one in school associate with him. She really had to smile for that, it amused her for some reason. “Edward.” Cassandra finally said looking over at him. “I DO trust you. You saved my life. Even before then I trusted you when we were lab partners.” Cassandra said smiling at him but just a little tired of telling him over and over that he had nothing to worry about just the way he was tired of telling her that it was best for her to stay away from him. “You know what, I might just do that.” ‘Or try looking up Mr. Perfect.’ Cassandra said and then thought to herself. “You might just have a history long enough to entertain me the way I think it does.” Cassandra said amusingly.

XXXXXXXXXXXX “I don’t see things in black and white. How else would I have such an amazing personality?” Cassandra said with a snort and a laugh knowing that she really wasn’t that great at all. She was just being sarcastic, something that she seemed to master ever since she got here. ‘I don’t hate you ─ I don’t think I ever could hate you’ When she heard those words, she quickly looked over at Edward and just looked a little puzzled. “So you do want to be friends. You just think that you wouldn’t be a good friend?” She said making a face as she looked at him. “I don’t think you can be a bad friend or person at all. You seem to care about me and my well being for some reason.”

XXXXXXXXXXXXLooking over at his book when he pointed out the next two answers, she simply read it and let him write it down. She didn’t even know the question to the answer, but she knew that he was probably right; he always seemed to be when they were doing their labs. As if he had done them, or just that he knew all the information already. “So you were then playing hooky too?” Cassandra said relaxing a bit as she shifted her weight on the table. Man did she wish that they didn’t have to use stools and it actually had a back rest to it. She hated to just sit straight the whole time and not move around or be comfortable in a chair for a long period of time. “You had to tell me something that bad, that you had to head over to my house?” She paused for a moment looking at him. “How did you know where I lived? Did you ask your father? Because I’m guessing that he’s the only one that knows where I stay besides Jessica and Angela. Unless you actually took the chance to talk to them as well.” Cassandra said with a grin at the corner of her lips knowing that for some reason Edward wouldn’t really approach them at all.

XXXXXXXXXXXX “Now I really want to know what it was you wanted to tell me yesterday. You brushed it off aside when I asked you earlier today.” Cassandra said and then went quiet when she heard him say that their teacher was going to come and check up on them. She looked over at the window to see that he wasn’t there and then quickly back at Edward before she looked at her book, pretending to read just as Mr. Banner had entered the room. How the hell did he know that? Something like this happened before right? When he said that he could have seen his brother throw that snow ball at him or something. Maybe she should really pay attention more often when he is talking instead of hiding in her own thoughts just imaging her and Edward together. She looked up at Mr. Banner when he started talking and just smiled at the man when Edward answered his question. She only nodded when he said that they could ask any of the other teachers for help. Had to make it look believable right?

XXXXXXXXXXXX “Yeah…” Cassandra said looking over at him when he started to talk and said that he knew things before they happened. What was his psychic? She looked away from him as the time went by, and just told him a couple of answers to a few of the questions that she found. “You really are something, Edward. You only push me forward to learn about you more.” Cassandra had finally said as she looked over at Edward when they had finished most of the packet. Guess Edward wasn’t doing a great job keeping her away now.

ooc || Wow, there was a lot of dialog there haha. Nice post too. =]

EDWARDCULLEN“Forget about it.” Edward said shaking his head. He wasn’t even going to try and come up with a lie to cover what he had just said up. What was there to say? He looked back down at the packet finishing up the page the two were working on. He looked up at Casey. There was something about her that makes him want to know more about her. Maybe it was the same way with her; there was something about him that makes her want to know more about him. Edward took a deep breath and looked back down at the packet turning the page. They were close to being done and only half way through the class. The rest of the class will be outside until right before the bell rang. They had a lot they had to do out there. Edward looked back over to the windows. All he saw were a couple of other students crawling around on the ground looking for things. He looked back over at Casey. It seemed that she didn’t understand what he was talking about earlier, was she drawing her own conclusions to what he had said? He wanted to know what she was thinking. He moved a little bit in his seat, moving just a little closer to Casey.

EDWARDCULLENEdward laughed. Did she really think that he was saying that he was a danger magnet? He was the danger that had been drawn to Casey. Along with those damn wolves that she won’t tell him about. Edward’s face went grave when she said about hitting her with a bat. “That’s not funny.” He looked away from Casey back now to the packet. He chuckled a little realizing the ‘mood swing’ thing that Casey had been talking about. Edward looked back over at Casey after she had said his name. He was sure she had said it before, but this time when she said it, it aroused something in him. It pulled his attention directly to her. Oh how he wished that just her saying his name couldn't make him feel like that. He couldn’t even name the feeling, it was something that he had never experienced before or just didn’t remember it from his human life. Just being around Casey brought out his hidden human instincts.

EDWARDCULLEN“You really trust me?” Edward said questioning her. She couldn’t be totally at ease around him, could she? He shook his head. He laughed when Casey spoke again. “Will you tell me what you find?” He laughed again. She could look all she wanted to, there would be nothing for her to find. He shrugged “I don’t know, maybe. I hope you have fun looking.” He said smiled and looked back down at the packet, filling in more answers. Casey’s voice brought is attention back up to her. “You seemed to be seeing things in black and white when you said either I hated you or I want to be friends with you.” Edward said laughing a little at her other comment too. He shrugged his shoulders a little “I don’t know. I don’t want to lie to you. What if I say I will be your friend and then my ‘mood swings’ kick in?” Edward laughed a little bit at the mood swing mentioning. He stopped laughing and looked at Casey with a serious expression. “You would be angry at me, wouldn’t you ─ for lying to you.”

EDWARDCULLENEdward shrugged “Call it what you want. I was only looking for you.” He watched Casey as she moved. “It wasn’t really bad, it was just rather important that you knew what I was going to tell you.” He paused for a second. “I have lived in this tiny town for two years. I know were almost everyone lives. You live with your older sister and I know where she lives. It isn’t exactly that hard to figure out. I didn’t ask your friends. By the way, you already knew that I know where you live, I put that stupid phone on your doorstep.” Edward said pointing down to the phone that was still sitting between the two of them.

EDWARDCULLEN Edward shrugged, looking over at Casey “So? I asked you who you were with yesterday and you brushed it off. I’ll tell you what I was going to tell you yesterday, if you tell me who you were with yesterday. I just want to know.” He said smiling a little. Did she want to know what he was going to tell her yesterday bad enough to tell her about the wolves she was with yesterday? Hopefully. Edward moved a little bit closer to Casey, he was sitting on the extreme edge of the stool he was sitting on, just like he had been the first day that she had moved here, but this time he was moving closer to Casey not farther away. “Really? I though being crazy would drive people away, not pull them closer.” Edward said smiling as he finished up the last page of the packet. “Look, we’re though and with twenty minutes to spare.”

XXXXXXXXXXXXWhen Edward told her to forget about it, she made a face. He might want to drop the subject, but she didn't. Or at least she wouldn't when she got home. It would be on her mind. Like all the other millions of times she thought about Edward and never got a straight answer. For what..being here a few weeks?-she was pretty obsessed in trying to figure him out. Cassandra was usually good at this. So why was it taking her longer than usual to figure out Edward? But what was it that he wanted her to forget this time? Looking away from Edward she looked down at the packet, just reading the question before going off to the text book to look for any of the answers. She read through it slowly only to pass time and make sure she wouldn't miss the answer. Cassandra didn't have super human powers like some people to see everything with just a glance. Or super human strength at that matter. Cassandra though and only lead the thoughts back to Friday. She wanted to talk to him about it, but at the moment it seemed like a bad time. He was changing his moods again.

XXXXXXXXXXXXCassandra placed her elbow on the table, between Edward and herself, and just rested her lower check left cheek on it. Her eyes scanned the book again, finding an answer but just holding off on it until she would find another so she would tell Edward to write them down. It seemed like he was trying to avoid any other conversation they were going to have about what they were talking about earlier. It kept getting repetitive too. He didn't want her around, or so she thought. He thought he wasn't a good guy, but to her it was completely the opposite. He thought that he was selfish, and she thought he was completely selfless. Seriously, they really were never going to agree on anything were they? Should she keep it up then? Cassandra really didn't want to give up on Edward. Something inside her was already getting very attached to him. It would be only a matter of time when she hurt her self from all of this.

XXXXXXXXXXXXHowever, she was completely knocked out of her silent thoughts when she heard Edward move a bit in his stool. She glanced over at him from the corner of her eyes and just stared. He wasn't looking at her yet, but he was closer to her now. Something inside her jumped just a bit, but she was able to control-just encase it was actually audible. Looking away, Cassandra just smiled a bit. When she heard him speak again, she looked over at him when he said that what she said about the baseball bat wasn't funny. She was only kidding though. He was so serious about that. But her thoughts changed when she heard a chuckle come out of him. She let her hand drop and looked over at him questionable and confused. Really? Did he have to do that? Talk about major mood swings, she was completely lost with all of his actions at the moment. Maybe it was something funny that he ate that made him act like this? No wait, he didn't eat anything at lunch again. He never did. Why? It didn't look like he needed to go on a diet; he was freaking perfect in every way.

XXXXXXXXXXXXWhen Edward said something about really trusting him, she looked at him. How many times would she really have to stick in his head that she completely trusted him. "If I had to choose to either live or die by your hands, I'd let you choose. Does that help?" Cassandra said looking at him trying to make him realize that she was genuine about her answer. And she really was, it almost felt different when she said it then when she thought about it. For some reason it meant more than she thought it would. She was serious about it too, and she wanted to let Edward know that as well. But when he started to talk about what she might find on the internet, she looked at him with a 'duh' like look. "No, why should I. It's my homework, go and do your own." She said with a faint laugh coming out of her lips and rolling her eyes just a bit playfully. "Well I didn't mean for it to sound as if I lived in a 50s television drama." Cassandra said looking over at her book again to see that Edward had filled in the answer that she was holding.

XXXXXXXXXXXX"I was just saying that you don't have that many choices to pick from if you think about. Its either you hate the person, or you don't which would mean you have no problem in being friends with them." Cassandra said looking back over at him. What would he say to that? She really wondered. "Trust me, your mood swings are nothing compared to Anna's." Cassandra said laughing a bit as she thought about her sister. "At least with yours I can be entertained by them." She said tilting her head just a bit to the opposite side Edward was sitting at and looking over at him. But when he turned serious again, she looked at him, letting her smile disappear for once. Once she heard what he said, the smile came back on, a innocent friendly one. "No." Cassandra said simply as she sat straight, a bit more over at Edward. "I couldn't be mad at you. Like you couldn't hate me. I know you probably have a good reason for lying, everyone who is a good person does." Cassandra said thinking for herself as well and what she was living her life as here in Forks. "Edward, for some reason, I find it impossible for myself to be mad you in any situation."

XXXXXXXXXXXXWhen he answered her question, or well just commented on it about why he was looking for her and how he found her house she thought about it. It really was a small place. Everyone near the town where they shopped for food already knew who she was, where she came from, and everything about her sisters work. Though nothing really personal was there for them to know about-thank god. She was going to ask him about where he lived, but decided not too. He'd probably say that she wasn't here long enough, or that he lived somewhere else. Darn, that just raised more questions on her behave. And at the current speed there were going at, none of their questions were going to be answered, only more of them being piled up on top of each other. What a wonderful relationship this was going to be. It was going to be based on small weird conversations, and questions. Mostly filled with questions, of course. But when he mentioned the phone, she smiled and looked over down at the fat orange phone that sat between the two of them. Oh how much love it was getting from both sides. "I'm smarter than I look." Cassandra said smiling over at him. "Gets on people's nerves sometimes." She said with a grin and a shrug.

XXXXXXXXXXXXGreat, he got her on that. She did brush it off about who she was with yesterday. She made a playful growl at the other and looked away for a second outside to see the students working. She reminded herself to wear some old jeans. Looking back over at Edward, she thought. Did she really want to know that badly to tell him, the one chance she had to make him slightly more curious about her, to get the reason why he was looking for her? When Edward moved closer, Cassandra just froze for a moment. This was possible the closest that she could remember they were. She looked at him, letting her eyes trace over every inch of Edward's miraculous face. The darken honey color in his eyes were hypnotic to her, almost calling her in even more. Closing her mouth a bit tighter as if she was going to shut her mouth, she told herself to get a handle on her composure again. But what Edward said next just made her slightly blush, the only thing hiding Edward from seeing it quick enough was her looking away for a brief second. When he said that they were done and they had twenty minutes to spare, she felt as if she really was going to die right there. Of course not in a bad way, in an extremely good way. Now there was nothing to distract her from looking at Edward. Great. She just hoped he couldn't hear her heart starting to pick up speed. She was acting like a five year old with a crush.

EDWARDCULLENEdward watched Casey. He guessed by the look on her face that she didn’t like the idea of forgetting about what he had said. There was no way that he could explain what he was trying to get across. He just smiled a little at her “I’m sorry, it’s not helping much is it? I just keep adding to your large accumulation of questions.” Edward apologized. He gave her another smile before looking away. He looked out the window, and scanned over the area that was visible from the window. Her little friends from the other day would probably be watching over her twenty four-seven. He didn’t see anyone out there, nor did he hear any unfamiliar ‘voices’. The wolves had always had a different tone to their mental voices, especially when they were in their wolf forms. But Edward didn’t hear any thoughts that might just be coming by a couple of wolves. He turned back to Casey and saw her move. She had put her elbow on the table and rested her check against the palm of her hand.

EDWARDCULLENAfter Edward chuckled about the mood swings, he looked at Casey. She had moved again and was looking at him. She looked confused. Edward looked at her for a second. “What?” He questioned her raising an eyebrow. He was laughing about ‘mood swings’ as Casey had called them, and she was confused. She would have pointed it out if he hadn’t started laughing, he was sure of it. Or maybe she just wouldn’t have looked so confused if he hadn’t started laughing. Edward moved the completed packet to the corner of the lab table. He looked down at the newly cleared black table top in front of him. He was actually surprised that Alice hadn’t started harassing him yet about things that she had just had seen. What if he wanted a surprise every once in a while? Never mind. Edward sort of liked knowing what was going to happen before it was, if it is good, he can find out a way to make it better. If it is bad maybe he can think of a way to stop it or just make it not as bad. Edward laughed a little under his breath.

EDWARDCULLENAfter Casey spoke again, Edward looked at her with a confused expression. What was she talking about? “And I thought I was the crazy one.” Edward mumbled under his breath shaking his head. He hoped that he had spoken it where Casey wouldn’t have heard it. She couldn’t trust him that much could she. How could any sane human trust him, a vampire, with their life? Edward took a deep breath. He would probably never understand this girl. He looked away from Casey. How was he ever going to figure her out if she seemed just as reluctant to answer questions as he was? Was she hiding something from him? He doubted it, what would she have to hide from him. There was probably absolutely nothing about that girl that could tear him away from her now. He took a deep breath and looked back over at Casey; it had gotten a tad but easier sitting here with her for over an hour actually breathing. He had sat with her at lunch and the only time he was away from her was the couple of minutes he was walking to class without her. He was sort of wishing he hadn’t done that, even though it didn’t make her mad. It made him look like less of a gentleman.

EDWARDCULLEN“Yes, maybe I should do my own homework.” Edward said smiling playfully. He laughed a little bit. “I should look you up. You haven’t really told me much about yourself, either.” Edward said smiling at Casey a little. There were some things that he could find out about her from her friends. He could find out just about anything that she had told them. Edward looked away from Casey for a moment, back out the windows. Had she told her friends more about herself than she had told him? He sighed. She had said that she trusted him with her life. So why wouldn’t she tell him anything about herself? Was she embarrassed or ashamed of something about herself? Was she hiding something from him, just like he was hiding something from her? Edward looked back over at Casey for a moment. He trusted her too, though. How could he not. She just seemed like a rather trustworthy person. Edward knew the only thing she wanted out of him was the truth, so he doesn't tell her anything, because for some odd reason he doesn't like lying to the girl. And something made him want to tell her the truth, wanted her to know him.

EDWARDCULLEN“If you think about it?” Edward questioned her sarcastically. “You thought about that for what? Five seconds before you actually said it?” He paused for a moment and Casey spoke again, Edward smiled a little. “I have heard that a woman can have pretty horrid mood swings sometimes.” Edward laughed for a second. After Casey had spoken again she had confused him. He could never really catch the meaning behind the girl’s words. His mood swings ‘entertained’ her. How? He though they irritated her, and made people not want to be around him. He knew she was joking when she had said that though, but she had to have thought about it before, right? “They entertain you? How?” he questioned her; he still couldn’t see her reasoning. Edward mentally sighed. She was still referring to him as a good person. How could she call him that if she knew nothing about what he truly was? Edward looked at Casey for a moment before replying. “So let’s say, for instance, I. . .” Edward paused for a minute and rolled his eyes “swing a bat behind your head and knock you out. You wouldn’t be mad at me when you woke up?” Edward challenged her. ‘That is if I’m even still around by the time you weak up, your little friends would probably try and take a chunk out of me.’ Ugh. That would have to be the worst way to die, by getting killed by wolves. The last thing you will remember before going to hell is the horrible scent of the wolves.

EDWARDCULLENShe still wasn’t going to tell him. Edward mentally groaned. What did he have to do to get it out of her? Get down on his hands and knees and beg. He smiled a bit. He wouldn’t do that, or at least he didn’t think he would. He heard Casey’s heart rate pick up a bit. His smile got a tad bit wider. She could have been frightened by his closeness, but it would have started earlier then it had. Anyway Edward just though that it might possibly be a good reaction. He knew that if she spoke to him he would probably be able to feel her warm breath caress his face. Oddly enough, he wanted that. He took a deep breath. “I’ll tell you first.” He said hopefully. He paused for a second. He wasn’t waiting for her reaction. He sort of wanted her to know. At the moment he really didn’t care if didn’t tell him what he wanted to know in return. “I was going to warn you not to go in the woods alone. Or really be anywhere alone. I knew that there was something around that could hurt you, and it probably would have if it had gotten the chance. I just wanted you to be careful and maybe think about what you were doing so you would't get hurt. I went to look for you. I have an idea about who you were with yesterday and I knew that ─ to an extent ─ you would be safe with them, if you were with the people I though you were with, but I still looked for you.” Edward took a deep breath. He really couldn’t believe he had just told her that, he kind of didn't want to see her reaction. He had just confessed to stalking her“I know that the thing that might have hurt you is gone now though.” He looked at Casey for a moment. He had to add that last part. He didn’t want her to get scared or worried about something that didn’t apply any longer.

XXXXXXXXXXXXCassandra begged for Edward not to hear her heart racing at the moment. If he heard her stomach, there might be the change that he would hear her heart race. Or maybe not, she was probably just going crazy thinking that he would. But it would be embarrassing, and knowing Edward from the moments and times she actually talked to him, he would probably say that she may be scared after all being around Edward-which was completely false, or he just might get a little bit cocky and say that he did that to most girls, making their heart race like it was on fire. That though, that she could believe. Just thinking about that Cassandra wanted to let her head hit the desk and knock her out. Wait, maybe she should do that then. It could leave her knocked out and forget about the throbbing heart of the hunger that she was having from not eating anything all day. But then she wouldn't have as much as now to talk to Edward. They had this time all to themselves, with no one around. They could talk about anything and no one else would hear.

XXXXXXXXXXXXShe tired to keep her heart calm, taking inner breaths as she just looked over at Edward when he said that he kept piling up questions for her. "No duh." She said to herself mostly as she looked away. She now had about a million questions to ask Edward, and he wouldn't answer any of them. Just like how it was for him. He had asked her questions, and she never really gave a straight forward answer to them either. It wasn't that she didn't want to, she really did, it was just that she kept getting distracted by her own questions to ask Edward. Taking a deep breath, Cassandra was able to calm her heart beat down quickly. For some normal person it would probably take awhile to do, but Cassandra had practice. How? Well no one needed to know just as of yet. Cassandra looked back over at Edward when he seemed slightly confused at why she was looking at him the way she was when he switched his mood swings. She just grinned at him, letting that answer his own question later if he got it.

XXXXXXXXXXXX"I highly doubt you'll find anything about Casey Martin in the internet. I'm not that famous, you know." Cassandra said looking over at Edward with just a bit of a forced smile on her lips that she tried to make look real. No Casey Martin wasn't on the web, but she knew someone else who would be. Of course she knew that Edward was just joking about all of that, even though she wasn't much. About the whole thing of not finding her on the web, and of course searching him up. Cassandra just might do that if she could find any good answers from him. Taking a deep breath she looked at him again. He wanted to know about her, and she wanted to know more about him. So maybe she should just give in a little and give him a few answers? Like why she moved here, and who she was with yesterday? Would that make Edward happier? But then that would mean she was giving in. And Cassandra hated to give in first. Great, now she felt like she was pmsing with her back and forth thoughts. Thank god, Edward couldn't hear her thoughts. He'd probably have a migraine right now.

XXXXXXXXXXXXEveryone knew that female's mood swings were really killer. But lucky for her, she didn't really have any-her sister was the one that got the killer bees. She could remember the first week she arrived here and her sister was going crazy. If it was any other person they would be pissed for sure, and try to rip Annissa's head off from the way she was talking and acting. Cassandra would just lean back and relax, watching the show and waiting for it to be over. She had to smile about it amusingly as she just thought about her sister going crazy. She only let it go when she noticed that Edward looked confused. She pressed her lips together just a bit and looked over at him. Hearing what he said about how he entertained her, she just laughed. "Like that." She said simply and looked away from him for a second. Cassandra wasn't sure why it was entertaining, but maybe it had to do with the fact that Edward was the one guy that just kept her mind running with millions of thoughts all at the same time. "You just seem to keep my interested in things than other people can. How about that for your answer?" Cassandra said with a grin hiding behind her smile. But she just let her face go to a normal expression as she noticed Edward bring up the whole bat theory question.

XXXXXXXXXXXX"Okay, well lets think about that." Cassandra said as she picked up her pen and placed the back of it on the bottom of her lips. "If you were to actually hit me with a baseball bat from the back..of course hypothetically...." Cassandra said looking over at Edward with a small glance before looking ahead of her to the empty blackboard that had only their homework on. "I would think its because I did something to either A- annoy you that you couldn't stand me anymore, or B- that you really had a reason for it, and didn't mean to hurt me at all." Cassandra said as she chewed a bit on the back of her pen before letting it go and looking over at Edward. Its what she thought at least. Edward would probably think she was stupid for saying that. "Because in the end, I did wake up, and you didn't kill me." Cassandra then said with a smile looking over at him. "And of this is all just an hypothetical statement, so I know it would never happen. So stop trying to show that you are the bad guy in this so called comic book world of yours."

XXXXXXXXXXXXHowever when Edward said that he would go first, she was slightly confused at what he was talking about. But when he said afterward about him answering one of her questions first, she was slightly surprised. So that meant that she didn't have to give in first? "Why would I go to the woods alone?" Cassandra said mostly to herself making a face. Watching enough scary movies told her not to do that, especially not at night. "So you knew, ...like how you know everything...--you knew that something was out there that might get to me? No would get to me if it had the chance? Are you saying that there was some type of animal that is out to get me?" Cassandra said a bit confused. "And you just happened to know that the so called friends I was with yesterday would keep me safe?" She paused for a moment as she looked over back at him. "What if I was in danger? Would you be prince charming and come and save me once again? That might take the whole stalker-ish look off you. But then again, I kinda like that in a way." Cassandra said with a faint sarcastic smile. "Well your right to think about my friends. They would protect me if things did get back...or whatever reason you were talking about."

XXXXXXXXXXXXLetting out a small breath, she looked away from Edward feeling a bit of a tingle inside of her. That did show that he did care for her right? Cassandra had to hold back the smile that was trying to come out every two seconds as she just thought about that over and over. She also really needed to control herself so Edward wouldn't pick on her for saying such things that might lead him to believe that she did like him. "Well since you were oh so brave to go first, I guess I can answer one of your questions." She said looking over at him. "I was with an old friend. I hadn't seen him in years, so I thought that I might take the day off to hang out with him and his cousin. Well actually his cousin gave the idea to take the day off. Its a whole other story." Cassandra said with a smile. "But don't worry, we're nothing more than friends." She said with a bit of a grin. "Just encase you were wondering, of course."

EDWARDCULLENEdward let out a little laugh when he heard Casey’s reaction to him apologizing. She looked away and listened as Casey’s heart rate began to slow. Either she was getting used to his closeness, or she decided that she really wasn’t scared of him. Edward would probably never know, as if Casey would tell him that. She wouldn’t even tell him why she moved here. Well that might be a little too personal, yet most of her questions he considered personal. She hadn’t even told him who she was with yesterday while she was skipping, yet one might see that as being nosey. Edward took a deep breath running one of his hands through his hair. He kept his eyes on Casey though. After he had spoken to her again she just smiled at him. She wasn’t going to answer yet another one of his questions, though could ‘what’ really be considered as a question. Edward shrugged it off, it really didn’t matter. She probably looked confused only because of his rapid changes in moods, or whatever you want to call it.

EDWARDCULLEN“Maybe not, but I might just have to do my research somewhere else.” Edward said smiling a little. “I can almost guarantee you that you won’t find anything on me. I’m not famous either you know.” Edward smiled a little more. Someone like him wouldn’t want any attention to be drawn to them. Once the humans get too interested the Volturi becomes interested as well, and you don’t want that. Usually if the Volturi gets involved there is no way the situation could end well. Edward looked up at the clock. Time was ticking away and Alice had informed him earlier that for the most part of tomorrow it would be sunny. So Edward would have to stay home from school. The bad thing was that it sort of upset him. He wouldn’t get to talk to Casey again tomorrow. He would have to ask Alice when it was going to get cloudy again. Edward looked away from Casey for a moment. If it gets cloudy before the end of the school day, then he could still do that lab with Casey after school. Would the others let him go though? He doubted it. They would get mad and say that he had never been worried about missing school before; especially yesterday when he had ran around the whole town looking for someone who wasn’t there to be found.

EDWARDCULLENThat thought sparked up another question that Edward wanted to ask Casey. Where had she gone with the wolves yesterday? They couldn’t have been in Forks, or in Seattle Edward would have heard them. So either they went farther away from Forks then Edward though they had gone or they might have went down to La Push. Port Angeles was another place they could have gone. Why didn’t Edward think about that yesterday? If he had then he probably would have found her. How much would that have changed what was happening right now? Edward started thinking about a long line of questions, most of them he knew that Casey couldn’t answer. Why hadn’t Alice been able to see that Casey wasn’t going to be at school? Did it have something to do with the wolves? Who could even attempt to answer these questions? Edward did have an idea of why the wolves smelled so bad to them, that one was simple. It was merely a protection from vampires. You don’t want to eat something that smells bad. That was probably also the same reason that vampires smelled so horrible to vampires as well. It was to warn them of how dangerous vampires actually were. Edward pushed the thoughts back, at the moment he didn’t have time to think about these things. He had all day tomorrow to think about them while he was in his meadow. Which is probably where he is going to go.

EDWARDCULLENEdward shrugged. She had actually given him a decent answer this time. “It was the best answer I have gotten out of you so far.” He said smiling at her a little bit. Edward raised an eyebrow at Casey when she first started to respond to his question. She didn’t have an explanation right of the bat this time. Edward just smiled a little, but the smile began to fade while she started talking. “Well, first of all I never said we were speaking hypothetically. I might put you in this real situation one day and you would probably just laugh it off thinking that I could never hurt you.” Edward paused for a moment “and secondly, you’re impossible.” was there no way for him to show her that he was actually dangerous without actually hurting her. He would have to find out some way to scare her, or something so that she will know that no matter what she thinks he is still dangerous.

EDWARDCULLENEdward looked at Casey “I don’t know. I believe that you know more about me than I know about you. I don’t know what you do in your free time.” He just listened to her talk, she sounded confused. Maybe he should have thought of a better way to say what he needed to tell her. “I don’t know everything, Casey. If I did than I wouldn’t be asking you all those questions I asked you. But anyway, eh , yes I guess you could classify it as an animal.” ‘Sure as hell isn’t human, though’ Edward paused for a second “It is long gone now.” What was wrong with her? She even said that what he had done was ‘stalker-ish’ and she said she liked it in a way. She liked having a vampire stalker? “I don’t really think it would have mattered if you were in danger or not, I couldn’t even find you yesterday. How am I supposed to save someone that I cannot find. . . You don’t know how long I went around Forks looking for you, because to me it was that important.”

EDWARDCULLENCasey had actually answered his question. “I wasn’t worried about who you were with because I thought you were more than friends with them.” Edward looked at Casey for a second and the back out the windows. He thought about what to say next for a couple of seconds and then he looked back over at Casey. “Can you please do me a favor? It isn’t a big one I swear, it is more one to help me sleep better at night.” Edward said looking into her olive colored eyes with a small smile on his face from the part about sleeping. “Can you please be careful around your friend and his cousin? I mean be careful not to make them angry. That is if you plan on spending a lot of time with them.” He didn’t want her getting hurt and he couldn’t be near her house while the wolves were there, they would smell him and probably get pissed. It would be better if at the moment they didn’t know he and Casey had been together.

XXXXXXXXXXXX"Where in the world would you do your research else where? By sneaking into the school when no one is around and looking at my files? Sorry, you won't find much. Surprisingly I was home schooled." She paused when she said that, wanting to take that back. "Or well I had tutors." Cassandra said quickly tying up that subject so Edward wouldn't really catch it. She didn't want Edward to know why she was home schooled, hopefully that would completely pass his mind. Why did it always seem like she was slipping in front of Edward. Cassandra could always hold her composure no matter what. Taking a deep breath, she suppressed those thoughts as well as the growl that her stomach was going to give soon enough. She looked over at Edward with a faint smile. "You never know, maybe your some under ground super model or something. You can sure pass as one." Cassandra said with a laugh just thinking about it. It was one of her theories. What a stupid one too. A lack of imagination she had right there. She really needed to think outside the box. Just needed a dang push to put here there.

XXXXXXXXXXXXCassandra's answer that she told Edward about him keeping her interested in things seemed to have pleased Edward. Well then that was good. She thought that he might have thought that to be the most stupid answer anyone could give to someone else. Or one of those reoccurring answers that people got. She wasn't trying to be boring with her answers or anything, she really wasn't..it was what she had just thought of. She didn't know what else to say to Edward. He did keep her interested in so many ways. He was different all right from most students at the school. But she wasn't going to tell him that. Because then he would probably think of that in a bad way, which she wasn't thinking at all. She was different than most students at the school too..Edward had pointed that out from all the answers and questions she seemed to give him. Cassandra would have never even been just the slight bit interested in any of the other guys compared to how she was feeling with Edward. And that was said in more ways than one. Thank god he wasn't reading her mind. He'd probably be freaked out by all the thoughts she had about him. Closing her eyes for a moment, she mentally sighed at that. She knew that Edward couldn't read her thoughts. But that brought up a few other questions in her mind.

XXXXXXXXXXXXEdward said that he could see things coming. And he had been right at most of those situations. Like the one of him seeing Mr. Banner coming in the room. Who in the world would be able to tell that? Cassandra looked over at the time, and then to the open door of the class room, and then back over at Edward. He also said he could see what most people would be about to do. Like that time he said that he would have seen his brother throw that snow ball at him. But when she tested that herself, he never saw her copying the answer down that he had on his paper. Thinking about it, Cassandra realized he seemed to know everything that way. What was he, psychic? Wait..could he be? Were people like that even real? Was he one of those gypsies? Cassandra looked at Edward and the image of him wearing those funky clothing came into mind. She pulled her lips together tightly holding back a laugh. Cassandra had to look away just to calm herself down, a few giggles coming out here and there. She just hopped Edward wouldn't think much about that, or think that it had to deal with anything else they were talking about-because it didn't really. Or well not too much. Actually, it was probably off topic, just like all her thoughts seemed to be sometimes when she was around him. It was the only way she always messed up around him.

XXXXXXXXXXXXAs Edward answered her answer about the bat situation, saying that he wasn't speaking hypothetically, she made a face, almost as if not believing the other. "I probably would have laughed it off. I don't see you holding a bat as a weapon unless you were playing baseball and was showing it off to your opponent team." Cassandra replied back to him on that. "Your really making it seem like that you can hurt me, when I know, and so do you, that you wouldn't do anything to me. I don't see you as some villain, Edward." Cassandra said looking over at Edward making a bit of a displeased face seeing that he didn't believe her at all from what she was saying. How many times did she have to tell him this to make it stick in his head? This time, she just leaned over the table just a bit to look at Edward. "Your my super hero if you haven't noticed, Edward. Sometimes I feel like your so dense." Cassandra said with a bit of a gentle smile.

XXXXXXXXXXXX"And yes, I know I'm impossible. That's another reason why you should just give up and let me win." Cassandra said smiling hearing him at that. "And know more about you than you know about me?" Cassandra said pulling away a bit confused. Blinking a little she laughed a bit. "You think that I know more? I don't even know what you like to do in your free time besides ask me a million questions and stalk me around places." She said simply as she rested her hand on her palm looking over at him. "I like to do plenty of things during my free time, it just depends what I'm in the mood for during that time. Apparently my free time has been revolved around you for some reason, though." Cassandra said with a bit of a embarrassed smile. When Edward said that he didn't know everything, she didn't really believe him too much. "Seems like you know a heck lot to me." Cassandra said rolling her eyes just a bit. "And so this animal, that you apparently saw coming, was after me..." That sounded so bizarre to her right now. "So if its long gone now, I can go prance around in the woods alone?" She said with a faint grin towards him.

XXXXXXXXXXXX"Its that important to you?" Cassandra said a smile coming across her lips quickly as she heard Edward. She could feel her heart beat get louder and louder slowly. She wasn't even paying attention to the heart fluttering against her chest as she heard that. Great, Edward really wasn't making this easier for her if he was just leading her on. Jessica did say that Edward went for no one at school. So what made her so special? Nothing in her mind. When he continued talking about Jaiden and Noah, she listened, not really saying anything but just giving a faint nod. Taking a deep breath she smiled over at him. "It would kind of be hard to get them angry. They might look mature, but their just kids inside. My sister would say the same thing." Cassandra said with a faint laugh. "But that's very kind of you to think of that. Even though it doesn't really make much sense to me." Cassandra said with a faint laugh as she looked away from Edward for a moment.
