Allen got up and followed Alexander.

Alexander continued this for a while until he finally slipped off a branch.

Allen stood under him so he'd land on his back. Allen smiled a bit and started towards his house.

Alexander hissed again and jumped off Allen's back, scratching it a bit, only to dash into the woods.Soon he took on the appearance of a white wolf so he could better protect himself.

Allen yelped a bit and sighed. He went back to the Hertz home and transformed slowly as he got in his car and put some clothes on. He knocked on the door and frowned.

Mr. Hertz opened the door and looked upset when he didn't see Alexander. "You didn't find him?" he asked.

Alexander saw Allen wasn't following him and ran through the woods around the house so he could come out on the other side. He transformed back into a human and approached Allen and his father. "Hey, Mister Allen," he said with a slight smile.

"He's coming up the drive way now," Allen said with a bit of a frown as he rubbed the scratches on his cheek.

Alexander noticed the scratches on Allen's cheek and ran up to him. "What happened?" he asked worriedly.

"Demon ferret," Allen said.

Alexander frowned a bit and pulled Allen inside. He pulled Allen to his room and sat him down. Alexander got out the first aid kit in his room then started taking care of Allen's scratches.

Allen pulled Alexander's hands away from his face and shook his head. "No," he said.

"Why not?" Alexander asked, meeting Allen's eyes. "The ferret could have been diseased or had rabies!"

"It was you," Allen said standing up.

"What are you talking about, Allen?" Alexander asked, confused.

"If you're going to play stupid with me I'm leaving," Allen said.
