Tamaki had been waiting for this day to come all summer, ever since his father had informed him at what has become new of Ouran Academy this year. He had been the first to volunteer for that program that his father had established. He didn’t see it as a way to gather more money from new foreign students, but as a way to learn the culture of someone other than he. It interested him greatly. Today was the first day of the new school year, and he had been nearly panicking over what to do for when classes would end. He thought about over and over how he would greet the new student that would be staying at his home this whole year, and he did certainly hope that he would be an unbelievably good host for the student to be interested in returning for more years to come.
Now sitting within the “abandoned” third music room, he looked out the window as he watched students leave their main buildings as the school day had drawn to a close. Classes had been dull as the instructors had gone over their syllabus and what the year would be like. Tamaki’s mind had been preoccupied the whole time, and he found himself worming in his seat many times, with people having asked if he was alright as well. Now that that was over, the time he had been waiting on had finally come. His father had told him that with the first day over, the new students would be meeting with the members of the families they would be living with. Tamaki had volunteered himself to be the one to give the student that would be with them the grand tour of the campus: an inside look to this wonderful institution, he said. His father didn’t need to be swayed to much to accept this.
What part his father was not told about was that Tamaki had asked his father to give the student directions to the music room. They were going to meet the Host Club, something Tamaki distinctly prided himself on. He figured it was a fantastic idea. Whether it be a male or female, it would be nice to introduce them to an open and entertaining group, so they wouldn’t feel so out of place! Tamaki’s eyes lit up at the mere thought of it, already picturing it going over so smoothly as he did a double take, triple take to the double doors. He hoped the student could get there with the directions he had given them…

This place was huge and already, the girl was beginning to feel overwhelmed. It seemed this whole place had been dunked in buckets of pink paint, and Nehomi felt she had stepped into an entirely different world. What was it about this place that her uncle had said was so distinguishing, again…? She thought about it over and over, what had he been thinking? The fine art programs were fine enough. The rest was stressful to grasp. Even now, she knew she had somewhere to be, but she had gotten lost fast. The campus was very large, and Nheomi took a moment to make a small noise in her distress as she looked around, having walked into the right building at least, finally. The windows were beautiful, as well as the architecture. Nehomi often got distracted with very small details such as this. As soon as she found that her eyes were wandering, her brain reminded her of what she actually needed to be doing and she headed up the stairs clumsily.
At least she wouldn’t be alone… She had heard there were a few others having gone through this program as well. And she did want to be here. It was somewhat liberating from the life she had been living. She gathered herself together at the top of the stairs and tried to straighten out the strange yellow dress that was her uniform and pulled her dark brown hair back from her shoulders. Her hands already had paint markings on them from today’s activities. They had been acrylic, which was a mistake she had made, and they were very difficult to wash off of her hands. She sighed a bit as she gripped her school bag and then made her way down the hall, looking for the room she desired. There was one another girl coming to this room, wasn’t there?
It didn’t take a genius to know girls had been whispering. But who exactly was the Host Club? Nehomi was clueless on many different levels. Why were they so important that people seemed astounded that she was staying with one of it’s members? “Especially the Shadow King?” That was intimidating. And the other girl was staying with someone claiming to be a “King”… It was interesting, and a bit weird. When she arrived at the door finally, she took a deep breath. She took the back of her hand and knocked a couple of times to indicate her presence.

How had he gotten himself into this again? Kyouya wanted an answer, and he wanted it now. Once again, Tamaki had convinced him and the rest of the club as well that joining this new 'program' would be exciting. Not that Kyouya really knew the meaning. It's not like he cared anyways. Having another person in his house wouldn't really effect him, it'd just be annoying to have to deal with their needs. How long had Tamaki said this would last anyways? It was practically pitiful. Ever since he heard of the idea he wanted to slap the head master across the head.
The only person in the club who was excused from all this was Haruhi. The reason being that is someone went to live with her, they would find out he was actually a she and that she was in the club. Tamaki didnt want his 'little girl' to be bullied, or so he said. No one was more excited about this then Tamaki of course. Honey accepted it the next day, with of course Mori following after him. I was next, being reminded that more people could be led to more money. Then, the last were the twins, who were with it from the start but held out to torture Tamaki like always.
Now, Kyouya sat on a chair in the corner of the room. One leg was pulled over the other as he wrote the finances again in his little notebook. He had gotten used to being surrounded by giggling females while he was in his own little space, making it obvious he didnt want to be disturbed. Suddenly, he heard a rasp on the door. "Tamaki, another 'guest' has arrived." he said, still engrossed with his book.

Miki walked down the hall, music blasting in her ears. Oh how it calmed her in this very energetic place they called a school. It was beautiful, however, Miki had to admit. She never entered such a large place before. After she gotten out of the hospital, she was forced to go to her crappy, small local school. Her parents had lost alot of money getting her help, so it was her only choice at the time. But now she had THIS! This place was like a mansion crossed with a castle of a prince! She was overwhelmed, it excited her to the bone. Just imagine the adventures she could have in this hall alone.
Taking her sweater off and tying it around her waist, Miki went to take her hair out of the ponytail it had been bound in. Letting it down made it look longer, and thats what she wanted. She had only been in remission for half a year and her hair had only begun going back to how she wanted it. Miki always thought she looked better with longer hair, just like her sister. As she walked down the hall, now turning a corner, she started to spot boys. She groaned a bit, they were all staring at her. At her old school, Miki started wanted a boyfriend so bad because she has away her whole life, but the flirting became so bad so discarded the idea of having one. Her new goal was to marry before dating. Maybe she'd go to america, apparently alot of strangers got married in Vegas.
Miki ducked her head, avoiding meeting the eyes of others. Meeting their eyes usually led to staring, the more staring the rest of the week. Miki learned this a while back. She turned into another hall, then it hit her. She was lost.

As soon as he had heard the knock, Tamaki’s head perked up like a puppy noticing the mail man had just arrived and he nearly scrambled over a chair to get to the double doors, before he stopped right in front of them. He adjusted his tie and cleared his throat before opening the door, allowing a bright smile to play at his lips. ”Welcome, my dear!” he stated in an excited fashion, though it was visible that he was containing himself from going out full force like he could. Nehomi had been waiting there, and she looked up to him for a moment, looking a bit blank and confused. Tamaki immediately noticed this the corners of his mouth twitch a couple of times, staring right back at her in some mock staring contest before he broke the gaze in a fit of discomfort, chuckling nervously. ”Um… You are new, so you are one of the transfer students?” he was trying very hard to hide his disappointment. That hadn’t gone the way he had wanted it to at all… Was a little rain cloud forming over his head? It seemed the onlookers thought so.
Tamaki stepped back to let her in. ”Welcome to the Host Club, by the way! I’m Tamaki Suoh…” he gave a traditional bow as a greeting. It was then he had managed to glance up over her shoulder when he straightened, seeing another girl he did not recognize going down the halls. He believed himself be a good judge of character, so he excused himself quietly and left the room for the time being, trailing after the strange new girl. She certainly seemed out of place, but he was going to make it his personal mission to make her feel welcomed! All girls shouldn’t have to be this uncomfortable in a new environment. It was so unfair. He carefully rounded her, seeming to just glide into her field of vision and he dipped his head slightly, putting on his normal smile and he offered her a hand. ”Do you need help with getting to somewhere, lost princess?” he asked her coolly. ”I could be your guide. I know these twists and turns very well.”

Nehomi was shell-shocked. She felt her feet were firmly planted on the ground, being greeted like some sort of royalty as soon as Tamaki had swung the door open. She hesitated before stepping in, only to be abandoned by the Host King shortly after. She had opened her mouth to thank him, figuring if he was going to make a scene of it, well, overall he had been nice to her. She tried thanking him, but he was long gone. She shut her mouth then before she could be seen to just be standing there like a fool. Oh, God. This was already embarrassing… certainly she left a good first impression. She shuffled her feet in her nervousness. Being shy by nature, at least to those she did not know, she didn’t quite know what to do next. But she was left very confused, more so than she was with just trying to find this place. ”What just happened…” she finally had mumbled.
It was then the red headed twins seemed to take initiative, walking up to her side-by-side. ”Ignore the King dummy,” Hikaru stated with a bit of a smirk on his face. ”But you are new here, right?” Nehomi at least had herself together enough to nod. ”What’s your name?” Kaoru and Hikaru had known they would be expecting a couple of new students to come by. The twins were going to meet their guest in a hour. Something about the transfer student they would be housing needed to meet with an instructor for some supplies list.
”Yukaru… Nehomi,” Nehomi got it out. The twins seemed to straighten their backs and exchanged a look with one another, before at the same time turning and looking back to their Shadow King. ”You actually have a client today, mother…!” they called over to him in unison. Nehomi decided to not question that at all. She had seen so many weird things already, today.

Miki could certainly hear the stranger that walked up to her, but pulled out her headphones to seem polite. Princess? Had he just called her a Princess? Miki was in shock for a second, then laughed. "Nice, 'Princess' must get you alot of attention, huh?" she asked, trying hard to keep a straight face. She looked down at his hand, seeing that it was held out for her. She waved it off, trying harder then ever not to cry with laughter. Miki hadnt seen anything this amusing since first grade when Riku's spider got loose in class.
"Anyways, back to your offer." she continued, the laughter seizing slightly, "I guess you can or else I'll never find my way around here." Miki looked around, more stares. It was probably from Mr. Mcshowoff that they increased. She took a step forward, around the guy. Then she turned around, "I'm Miki, by the way, a Transfer student."

Kyouya looked up at the sound of the twins calling him 'mother'. It had been a long time since that started and it was practically a second name for him whether he liked it or not. He slammed his book shut with one hand and slipped his pen behind his ear with the other. A client, they said. Maybe this was his transfer students. Well, time to fool another person into thinking he is nice. In fact, this was the most amusing thing as his life, tricking others. Kyouya stood up silently, placing his book on a nearby table. He walked boldly to the girl the twins were talking about and and bowed. "Hello, you must be Yukaru Nehomi, I've been waiting for your arrival, It's a pleasure to meet you."
Kyouya straightened his back and smiled at her. Of course it was a fake smile, it's been a while since he's had a 'real' smile.

Was what he was doing funny to her? Tamaki felt another stab into his heart, and he almost looked visibly hurt, but he kept up a good façade and shook it off inwardly as he chuckled to her and nodded, lowering his hand as it was rejected. Oh, well! She had accepted his offer. That was a very good start. ”At least I have made you laugh!” Tamaki tended to look towards situations in a more optimistic, though sometimes, unrealistic way. He then beckoned her to follow him, turning to walk down the hallway in one direction as he carefully placed his other hand into his pocket. He put on a smile and then looked to the side at yher. ”Huh…? You are Miki-San?” he seemed surprised, and then he stopped in his walk and the grin brightened even more, if possible.
This time, he actually did take her hand, eyes bright. ”That means you are staying in the Suoh household, correct? You will be living under my roof. My name is Suoh Tamaki,” he finally introduced himself, and he lifted her hand, planted a peck of a kiss to the back of it before letting it go. He seemed overjoyed by the chance run-in. ”I really do hope you enjoy your stay. I shall make sure you have everything you need here and at home, as well!” He paused. ”It’s a promise.”

So, that was Kyouya Ootori? He seemed to be the more put-together one… She looked up to him for a moment before forcing her nervous smile. Really, she kidn of just wanted peace and quiet right now. But she kept repeating in her mind that she needed to be social and kind. Why did she have to keep reminding herself of this? She wasn’t used to talking to many people… she was home schooled, and she enjoyed nothing better than simply staying in her bedroom painting, or the like, which was frowned upon by her parents many of times. But now… she didn’t have to worry about that, or she hadn’t for awhile… She would do this, and she would make it through, because that one person in her family had told her she could do it. She would do it.
”’Ello,”[/.color] she simply stated in return. She wasn’t too much of a fan of the bowing thing. This place was certainly it’s own world. She took in a deep breath through her nose before continuing, figuring if she were to get anything out of the way, she needed to now, ”Likewise, Ootori-San. I’ll do my best to make this experience a pleasant one.” That sounded a bit weird… oh, bullocks, she thought. She looked like she was retreating back into an imaginary shell already. But she tried to stay firm in her tone.

Kyouya could see right through Nehomi. She didnt want to be here, and didnt want to speak. He felt just the same. "Why dont you go and take a seat over there in the corner," he said, pointing towards an empty chair where no one was around, "I'll be right over, I have some buisiness to take care of." He smiled again and nodded. He walked away and the twins followed, "Geez, cant you be a little more welcoming?" Kaoru asked, Hikaru spoke next, "Yeah, she's new, be nice." Kyouya waved them off, "I'm always nice."
The twins rolled there eyes and went to their own thing. Kyouya picked back up the book and tried to work on the income. His eyes, however, kept checking up on Nehomi. It was odd, but he figured it was because from now on, she was his responsibility.

Miki was taken by surprise by the sudden kiss on the hand bit. And she was to be living with him!! This had made Miki's day, this school, was awesome. It was like it had it's own little story and she now had become the plot's topic. She felt like laughing again, but held it in professionally. "Pleasure to meet you, Suoh-Kun." she said, taking her hand back and bowing in respect. "Please take care of me." She stood back up, smiling, friendly. She was to trust this boys father with her secret, so she must try to be as polite as possible. In fact, how long had it been since she was formal with someone?
Being in the hospital for almost ten years, you get to be very casual with alot of people. It was scary to be uncasual now.

”I shall, my lady,” Tamaki clearly stated as he began to walk again. It was only after another short moment that he paused again and nervously laughed. He reached up and rubbed the back of his head as he felt embarrassed for admitting this next, ”Wh-where did you say you were off to, though?” a little sweatdrop had formed on the back of his head. Perhaps he should have asked that first… but the idea of her being from somewhere else and a lot of today’s events had gotten him worked up that his mind was thinking sporadically. ”I’d be more than happy to take you about campus or to other buildings you may be using this semester.” Being the chairman’s son, he knew this campus like the back of his hand. And his father had emphasized how Tamaki was to not make a mockery out of him, even if Tamaki was the one to offer first-hand that he would behave and show the lady a good time.
He turned his head and lifted his chin slightly, getting a good look at her. He was still smiling: when was he not, really? He could not think of any reason not to, for now. ”Your hair and eyes remind me of fire. A very lovely color on you,” he said this lightly. Tamaki believed a best way to make a woman feel comfortable was to give her compliments, and to always be ready to serve. He was the Host King, and he was quite used to it by now. He did hold her in a little higher regard than a client, though! She was going to be living with him. ”I suppose I stand out as well around here, with a color such as gold for my hair…” He closed one eye in a wink as he raked a hand through it. ”You must tell me about where you are from, soon!”
((LOL I am so sorry. I am like, on fire with my posts tonight.))

Nehomi’s face relaxed a bit when she was shown a way to get out of the line of fire, that being the staring eyes and then the twins as well. She felt relief wash over her as she made to sit in the chair, closing her eyes briefly as she tried to ease the pounding in her head that was quick to form. Geeze… Well, she could take a moment to get her brain to comb over these recent events. She was at a school where the people were very different from her. They could prattle on about just anything so openly, while she remained reserved. She had placed her hands upon her knees after smoothing out the dress, cursing its ugly pale yellow color. And puffy sleeves. And just about anything. The dress was horribly, she concluded in her mind, amused. But nothing about the situation was normal. What bothered her was that Kyouya seemed quick to leave, already. Maybe he didn’t really like her already. But she was somewhat apathetic about that…
Figuring if she would be waiting here, she looked for an excuse to not be interrupted, as some of the girls’ eyes had followed her actions ever since she sat down. She fished for her bag which she had placed up against the legs of her chair and then unlatched it in her lap, digging through until she found a new sketch book. Her dark purple eyes seemed to light up at that and then she removed the bag, only to lean forward a bit as she clicked the end of the mechanical pencil she had stuck in the binding, and then she proceeded to set to work. She had seen so many curving designs in the woodwork around here… she started to imitate some of the things she had seen, looking intently down at the page she had turned to. This place… was something… Many had already deemed her the strange one. But Nehomi wasn’t making to belong here entirely. She actually didn’t really want to, so she didn’t care!
