When he asked what the sun was May’s heart sunk. She should have known in a place called The Underdark there would be no sun. But still, she could not help but feel a bit bitter over it. That means eventually my other powers will fade away…I will lose touch with the earth until I return to the surface and soak up the light… She had been walking at his side, not wanting to go ahead of him and take a wrong turn. But when he opened those doors, and May’riina saw the grandness everything she could not hold back a slight gasp. “This…is so beautiful. Nothing at all likes my home…” Her voice drifted off as she let him lead her through the throne room and towards the arena.
But when she watched a few push him, May’riina stopped allowing him to get a few steps ahead of her. She watched as one gave him a hard shove. And something snapped deep inside of May’riina. She did know if she was out of place, but all the same one hand shot over her shoulder and drew out a arrow. Preparing the bow in lightening speed May’riina stalked her way over and held it pointed towards the Drow’s throat that had shoved Shurvayas. “Apologize to him,” she said in a stern tone that showed she was not going to back down. But he just laughed at the young girl, along with a few others. This added fuel to her rage though, and pulling the arrow back she hissed out, “Last chance…” But he made no move except to grin down at the girl, as if he thought she was a joke. Without thinking on it again she released the arrow, sending it flying through his throat. The arrow sunk deep into his throat, and his hands shot up wrapping around it. As he struggled to breath and pull it free, blood began to gurgle up and spill over his lips.
As he dropped to the ground a few around gasped, soft murmurs breaking out among them as to who just this girl was that stood up for a half-blood. Another Drow stepped forward, bending down to May’s height. “Excuse me D'anthe just who-“ He was cut off though by a loud booming voice,. “That is my girl! I knew you were a proper Drow the moment I set eyes on you. Mark my words, she will be one of the most feared around here once she starts training.” People were no longer crowding to see the girl or body, they backed off as a tall mean looking man crossed through them without kindness at corsideration.
May turned slightly, still holding the bow in her hand. She had no emotion on her face, but in a plain blunt tone she spoke out against the crowd. “My pets are not for your pleasure…they belong to me…the next time I see a single one of you place a hand on something of mine…I will make sure you live long enough to feel the pain.”
Her father clapped a hand down on her shoulder, giving a hearty shake as he beamed with pride. “You heard her vultures so unless you want to end up like this poor fellow watch your step around her.” He patted the top of his daughter’s head and then murmured under his breath, “Now is there a nice lady out there that wouldn’t mind joining me for drinks?” A few women pushed forward, clinging to his arms and chest. After all, the Noble was good breeding stock, and almost always gave a daughter.
As May’riina watched her father head off with the women she had a look of disgust. She turned her gaze onto the crowd, which went back to what they were doing before the incident, and then her eyes relaxed when she looked at Shurvayas. “Is he going to do what I think he is going to do with those…women,” she asked in shock. A look of disgust on her face and upper lip curled slightly.
