Welcome to Gaia! ::

Amber looked up slowly, an odd look on his face. "Er..." He sighed, "I don't know the bird girl... But..." he looked apologetically to Nancy, "Dylan made it pretty clear she didn't want to be anywhere near me. I really don't know what I did to her, honest! But she doesn't like me at all. I mean... If you really want me to, I'll ask her, but..."

Audrey was pretty engrossed in his food, not really noticing anything odd until Roi started tilting over. He looked up. She couldn't possibly be tired, they just got up and he'd thought they'd both slept pretty well. "Hey," he said, putting his fork down and reaching over to lightly tap at her cheek. "What's up?"
"Hm?" Roi blinked, startled when he touched her cheek. She hadn't noticed anything odd about herself, like how she kept seeming to fall asleep. Even though she had just gotten up she still felt tired though. She smiled sweetly as she gazed at him, taking a big spoonful of food and shoving it in her mouth. It all tasted quite good to her now. "Everything's fine, silly." She said with a light laugh, tilting her head innocently to one side.

"It was just an idea." Ashton shrugged and continued eating. She smiled at her son though, glad he had made a new friend at least.

"Hey, spas?!" Wesley's ears perked. "Hey, I give great massages!" He grinned, his tail swishing with excitement. Wesley just seemd to be a little bundle of joy.

"Don't strain yourself too hard." Shannon requested with a small sigh of relief that she was no longer sitting on top of him. "...where's that little lady with our food?" He pouted a bit.
"Oh, you do?" Amber asked, intrigued and glad to have a change of subject; he didn't know Dylan well enough to know all she'd been through and he'd only a vague idea of just how harsh her treatments had been... And might continue to be. "Well, if we can get the women gathered, you'll have to show off your talents, huh?" Amber said with a teasing little smirk on his face.

"Uh-huh..." Audrey said lowly, reluctantly withdrawing his hand. It was almost creepy when she was trying to be cute, especially when he was convinced she was lying. "Well, whatever you say," he said with a little smirk as he went back to his own food, keeping a closer eye on her as he finished his plate. "So, you want some more?" Or maybe she'd want a nap... Or a bath...

"Heh..." she tried to smile but grimaced from the soreness of the overworked muscles in her back. "I think I already did..." she said lowly as she heard those little high heels tapping back toward them in the hallway. With a sigh, she sat back down on the side of the bed, her wings trembling a bit as she struggled to get them to fold back down against her shoulders and get them out of the way.

"Ohoho!" Landon tittered as she came in, carrying two trays of food stocked with all sorts of breakfast goodies. She figured since she didn't really know what either of them liked a collection of a little of everything would work. "Here you are," she said, putting the tray next to them. "Surely out of this you'll find enough you like! Well, is there anything else I can do for you?" she asked, looking to Shannon when Dylan stubbornly turned her head away.
"Hee, I'd love to!" Wesley positively radiated excitement. He held up one of his hands and flexed it for all to see. "I've got strong hands." He said with a proud smile.

Ashton couldn't hold back a chuckle. The small cat man was just too amusing. "What about you Nancy? What are you up to today?" She asked, looking back to him now. It had been so long since there wasn't a direct thing that had to be done. To have a day to do as one pleased...unless Nancy had some duty she didn't know about.

"Thank you Landon. I'll be fine if I can get my little prince - er, princess to help me eat here." Shannon's eyes sparkled as he teased Dylan. He couldn't wait to be able to move again and further explore that new body of hers. Just thinking about it filled him with electric excitement.

Roi for the first time ever had actually finished a plate of food. For the first time in a long long time she felt hungry. "More, my slave." She commanded with a good natured laugh as she nudged her empty plate over to him.
Landon smiled pleasantly, "All right, then! Dylan, when you're ready, I'll be in the lounge down the hallway, okay?" She tried so hard to be friendly to the psycho dragon, but it seemed her efforts were for naught... Dylan still wouldn't look the woman in the eye and just sat there with her arms crossed. With one final smile to Shannon, Landon excused herself.

"Hm..." Nancy looked off into nothing as he thought for a moment. Was WAS he going to do today? "Eh, well, I ain't got n' plans... But I sure's hell don't need no manny-cure," he said, casting a teasing glance at Ashton. "Does m'lady need some errands run?"

Amber's face blushed again as he snickered. Strong hands, huh? Still, he tried not to get his hopes too high lest he end up causing his own heart to be hurt again. But even so, that didn't mean he couldn't enjoy Wesley's company. "Well," he said, leaning toward Wesley, "They do say big things come in small packages!"

"Heh heh," Audrey snickered, finishing off the last of what was on his plate, "As you wish," he said, a naughty flicker in his eye even though he knew there wasn't much he could do with her just then. After patting her hand he got up to fix them each another plate. She'd already had a good portion of meat... This time he brought her a stack of mini-pancakes with a bit of syrup, some strawberry bits, a couple slices of bacon, and a little pile of baked cinnamon apples. His plate was basically the same except with waffles and not pancakes. "What about this one?" he asked as he set it down before her.

Dylan didn't look up until Landon was gone and even then still slowly, hesitantly. She glanced at Shannon for only a second before looking away, not wanting him to see the mixture of annoyance and a sliver of hurt in her eyes as she poked at the food the bug-woman had brought them, finally picking up a small serving bowl that had some fresh berry mixture and yogurt in it, mixing it up before offering him a spoonful of it.
Wesley grinned from ear to ear. "Heh, because I told you that!" He smiled with pride as he finished off his eggs. His merry laughter was cut short as his ears suddenly perked and he looked to the door at the precise moment a few curt knocks interrupted their merriment.

"I wonder who that can be..." Ashton wondered out loud as she stood and went to the door. She had a brief conversation with the person there. After a few moments she returned to the table, a confused look on her face. "I guess we've been summoned to some meeting with the big boss man this afternoon." She glanced to Nancy, wondering if he knew anything about this.

"That's fine." Roi said with a disinterested, sleepy look on her face. Why did she feel so heavy and tired? Trying to shrug it off she picked up her fork and began eating again, though very, very slowly.

"Are you Landon?" A soldier approached the doctor in the waiting room. He didn't appear to be threatening, his gun was properly slung around his shoulder and resting against his back. Rather he was a currier, sent to deliver a message.

"Mmm...that's good." Shannon said with a smile as he accepted the yogurt. "The food tastes so much better when you're here."
"Hmmm?" Landon turned around, lightly sipping her coffee to see the man who approached. "Hm, yes, yes, I am. What can I do for you?" she asked, not really knowing or caring what he had to say, just hoping it wasn't going to interfere with Dylan's therapy session. She yawned, reaching for a biscotti and disinterestedly dipping it into her mug.

"Did you?" Amber said, smirking and then starting to pick up the dishes when it was clear everyone was finished eating. He put them into the sink, only half paying attention when Ashton went to answer the door and still not really paying attention when she came back.

Nancy looked up when Ashton said they had a meeting with the boss man. Nancy must have been of little consequence, he'd been there how long with no one caring til now? Eh, it probably wasn't really him they wanted anyway. He shrugged, indicating he had no idea what it was about, finishing off his own mug of unsweetened coffee as he sat there, leaning back in his chair. "izzat so?" he said, "Can't say I care t'much fer them boys here... Guess we'll jes' wait'n see what 'e wants."

Audrey sat there, slowly eating his own food as he watched her. "Hm," he mumbled, not really directing the comment toward her, just thinking out loud as he was prone to doing, "I wonder if you need some vitamin supplements... It'd give you more energy, anyway," he said, though she might still just have been tired after all the hell she both caused and went through over the past few days.

Dylan gave a partial nod and an "Mhm..." that was only half present as she fed the yogurt to him. She felt like she should have been so much happier than she was; she was healthy and she was back with the man she loved, both of them apparently on a positive road to recovery. But some things were still bugging her in the back of her mind, as usual. Maybe it was her clothing--or for better words, a lack thereof--that was getting to her... Why was it making her so uncomfortable? She dutifully fed Shannon his portion of the food, her mind too lost and far away to even remember she still had hers there to eat as well.
"This afternoon Casey has called for a meeting of all those involved with the dragon and the angel. He understands if the man Shannon cannot be there due to his medical condition, but it's important that everyone be there. Be sure to get the dragon to come as well." The soldier said in a surprisingly cordial tone. With a small salute the soldier turned to leave then.

Wesley teasingly stuck out his tongue as he rose and deposited his dishes in the sink. "Hey, is it okay if I use your shower?" He asked as he fiddled with the ends of his hair. Wesley enjoyed to be clean at all times.

"Eh?" Roi paused, not quite sure if she heard what Audrey had mumbled. "Did you say something?" She asked, leaning forward over the table. Her eyes seemed a little dimmer now than they had before, as though a bit of sparkle was gone.

"Hey...are you okay? Really?" Shannon gently asked, his eyes filled with sadness as he watched his love move in melancholy.
Landon rolled her eyes and sighed with disgust as she decided she didn't want her biscotti after all. "Look, I don't know what this is about, but Casey DOES realize that part of the reason both of those girls are in such poor condition is because of him, right?" Whether or not it was true, that was how she felt about it, "Besides, Dylan is, for all intents and purposes at the moment, clinically insane as far as I'm concerned. You have been informed that she demolished an entire Raider camp for no other reason than she was angry, I assume. I will do the best I can during her session today but I make no promises that she'll be healthy enough to attend, and I'm not in any hurry to be barbecued, so I won't force her if she doesn't want to," it sounded cold... But she really didn't fancy becoming a butterfly kebob. She hoped the soldier realized that her anger and irritation wasn't directed at him. She sighed again, "Tell Casey I'll do the best I know how," she said more softly, "But that poor girl has been through enough and I don't want to risk making her worse."

Audrey frowned for a moment but then shrugged, "Nah, nothing important... We'll worry about it later, seems you're still worn out from all the fun you've been having lately..." He went back to finishing his plate though he really wasn't hungry anymore.

"Sure!" Amber said, "It's in the bedroom, help yourself, I'll finish these up," he said as he briskly scrubbed at the dishes and put them into the dish drainer one by one.

Dylan said nothing immediately. She stared at the empty cup in her hand and the partially empty plate alongside the other still full meal in front of her. She felt the beginnings of a headache coming on and set the cup back on the tray to rub lightly at the side of her head. Finally she sighed heavily, deciding she wasn't actually hungry after all... Or at least that if she was she didn't care and had too much on her mind to eat. "I've never been okay," she answered hesitantly, "I only just now realized that... And since it doesn't do any good to pretend otherwise... " she buried her face in her hands and rubbed it out of frustration as her eyes slid back over to that file on the table. She couldn't help but wonder what was in it as she pushed her food away.
Damn his body! Shannon wanted to reach up and comfort her! But all he could weakly do is reach out and stroke her back gently with the back of his hand. "Shhh...it's alright. I'm here for you now." He said in a soothing voice, trying for the first time in a long while to use his powers and give her comforting feelings.

"Okay, thanks!" Wesley called out as he eagerly shimmied out of his clothes, leaving them in a pile outside the bathroom door for some reason as he slipped inside the bathroom and turned on the steaming water.

Roi lifted her head and smiled weakly at him. Yeah, fun, that was the word. She reached across the table and gently clasped his hand in hers. She looked at him with pleading eyes that said she just wanted to go snuggle with him right then and there. Even if she wasn't feeling up to something very amorous she still wanted to feel his skin against hers, like they had that night. "I'm so glad to be with you again." She said, gently giving his hand a squeeze.

The soldier paused and turned back to the doctor. "Then...tell to your patient that Casey says 'he owes you all an explanation.' That's the message."
She sniffled with her back turned to him, reaching up to rub the back of her hand against the tears that threatened to escape her eyes. Finally, she turned around to face him and managed a small but real smile. "I know," she said softly, "And maybe... If Landon really knows everything she talked about earlier..." she meant 'earlier' as in before she'd let Dylan leave to visit Shannon, "She really can figure out how to make me better..." she hoped weakly as she reached up to move a stray piece of hair from her eyes, blinking and eyeing it with an odd look on her face. "...When did my hair turn red...?" she frowned, not sure how she felt about that.

Landon brought her coffee cup to her lips but looked up, a little shocked at what the soldier had said as she held the steaming beverage to her mouth. Casey owed them an explanation? He sure as hell did after all that had happened. Still, she found that thought alone comforting at least. "Well... All right... If that's the case... I'll try to calm Dylan down as much as I can...." If nothing else, she could drug the girl up and get her to agree to just about anything... But Landon really didn't want to have to do something like that; she herself had always thought that medication was the last thing someone needed for a mental illness.

Audrey blinked as his whole face blushed. Damn that woman! Why'd she have to be so cute and lovey dovey and... Still, he couldn't deny how much he liked her attention. It was such a nice feeling since most females slapped him across the face sooner than they'd look at him. He couldn't help but smile, "Well, you can stay with me as long as you like, you know," he said, warmly wrapping his hand around hers. "As long as you can put up with a jerk like me," He stuck out his tongue to indicated he was at least half-joking... About being a jerk, that is.
"You're not a jerk." She said with a warm and sincere smile. Her other hand come up and caressed his chin, holding his face gently. Roi looked at Audrey with intense eyes of longing. "You've gotten scruffy." She laughed very gently as her thumb rubbed against his face.

Shannon laughed a bit. "I don't know woman, you tell me!" He joked with a chiding tone as his hand wandered down to her own hand. Holding it gently in his he brought it up closer to his head so that he barely hat to lean forward to kiss it, his eyes gently glancing up at his love.
Audrey made an odd face and blinked. The only other female to tell him he wasn't a jerk was Randy and Randy was crazy so logically... Roi was crazy too? Who cared. "Oh, but I am," he winked and smirked, then reached up with his free hand to feel his own face. "Huh, I guess you're right... But I've kind of had more important things to worry about over the past few days," he said more kindly, glad that both Dylan and Roi were now presumably safe... And hopefully sane too. He moved her hand to his lips as though to kiss it but playfully nommed her finger instead. "Well, whenever you're done eating, we can head up and take a nap if that's what you want," And on the way he'd text Landon for some vitamins, if nothing else.

Dylan opened her mouth but then looked at him blankly for a moment. She tried to think back to when Ashton had taken her inside the volcano... "I can't remember..." she said with a weak frustration and frowned when she found mostly blank spots in her memory of the magma bath. "...I'll have to ask Mama I guess..." she said softly as she came in closer to him, just wanting to be as close to him as she could before Landon got frustrated with waiting and came back to drag her away. "Actually... I can't remember a lot of the past few days. I know what happened... But I can't remember how or when they happened," she sighed, a little irritated at the holes in her memory as she lay her head down on his shoulder.
