Spring Break. Everything Mia needed to relieve stress from college pressure. A full month to enjoy the sun and travel. The first place on her list was the beach. She had been dying to go since the weather got warm. Of course, she knew the beaches would be crowded, however, one of her favorite teachers gave her a pass to use a private beach. Supposedly it's got a million caverns to enjoy.
Mia sat in the sand as she watched the sun rise. She came extra early just so she could see the sun rise. The morning air danced around her as she watched the sky splash with vibrant colors of pinks, reds, oranges, and yellows. Standing, she looked over at the caves in the distance resting in a bundle near the ocean rocks. She was the curious type so she couldn't help herself as she left her things there on the private, deserted beach and walked over to the caves. She went to the entrance of one and got the chills. Moving to the next one she felt the same way. It wasn't until ths got to the third one that a gust of wind came rushing out to her.
She should have turned away. She should have gone back to the beach and never returned, but as she stood there, standing in the entrance of the darkness, every fiber of her being was egging her on. It was as if it was calling to her, begging for her to go in, asking for her to explore it. Her heart pounded hard against her chest as she turned on the flash light she brought with her and stepped in. She should have been scared, but she wasn't. She should have brought someone with her, but she didn't. She should have done a lot of things, but she chose to do all the wrong things.
Her light danced around the cave walls as she went in deeper, listening to the dripping sound of water and the distant sound of waves. Her hand went over her heart as she pressed on, feeling her heart speed with every step. The feeling of being pulled in on got worse as she got deeper. Something flashed on the corner of eye and she turned her head to look. The light of her flashlight made something sparkle and she turned the full light on it.
Suddenly...she felt warm all over. Before her was a man...chained to the wall.
