Lux smiled lightly, "It was nice meeting you too Miss Emilye. And of course I meant it. You have given me a reason to actually like this place now." He said with a grin on his face. She was pretty, kind, and like him. Crazy. They just met, but Lux couldn't deny that he felt a connection of some sort. They have both been here for at least a year or two, how could they have not met before. Lux looked up and saw that there was another nurse at the door. Which meant it was time for his medication. He got up and walked over. "Well, you got your bandages off today. How nice. I thought I heard you playing the piano." Lux took the small paper cup and downed the pills inside of it. "Correct good nurse. I also made a friend today. Emilye. I plan on staying up with her tonight, since she can't sleep. Since right now I can't sleep, I thought instead of us being alone and awake, we could be together and a wake and have a great time." A little bit of the childish side came out when he rambled on about staying up with Emilye. That happened a lot, if he was excited about something the child would come out. Lux bit his lip lightly. "Looks like you showed at the right time." The nurse only smiled and nodded and walked away. Lux sighed and went back to the piano. Since he was doing nothing at all today he went back to the piano and began playing again. He would wait for Emilye.

Emilye was escorted back to her room after she took her pills. They didn't lock her door, so if she wanted she could go put of the cell. After a few minutes of being alone, she fell asleep for the first time in days.

As she entered the dream world, she was in a black city. Everything was dark, and she was alone. She then entered a building that seemed familiar. It was dark but a light shone on a single chair. She sat in the chair. she then saw her father walking towards the door with an alcohol bottle in his hand. "Dad? Dad? Is that you?" She said, following the man. He then turned around. It was her father. Only he had no eyes. And his face was bloodied and bruised. She stepped back, but the figure stepped forward. He pulled a knife from his pocket. "Emilye, don't you want to be with mommy and me?" He said pressing the blade to her neck.

She then woke up, screaming. She sat there for a moment, feeling embarrassed. She knew nurses would come in anytime. And she was right. nly doctors didn't because she had just had her depression pills. The nurses patted her head and tried to get her to tell waht was wrong. She refused to talk.

Lux played for awhile until he heard something that made him stop. He heard a scream. It was Emilye. He got up and walked out of the room and followed the nurses. There were already a few in there tending to her. From what he heard she wasn't talking. He walked in. He heard some nurses telling him to get out, but he just ignored them. He knelt down in front of her and grabbed her hands. "Don't worry. It isn't really. As much as it may have seemed it was. I am here for you. Don't fret Miss Emilye." He smiled gently.

Emilye was breathing hard. "I saw him. I saw him. I saw him." She finally gave in and talked to the nurses. She then saw Luz come in. Her eyes followed him as he came in the room and knelt in front of her. She grabbed his hand, as he grabbed hers. She giggled slightly when he called her Miss Emilye. The nurses noted how calm he made her, but still thought she needed to see a psychiatrist, and they informed Emilye she would be getting one. They then cleared the room but allowed Lux to stay..

Lux laughed lightly when she giggled, it meant he was doing something right. He got up and sat down on the bed next to her. "Well, well Emilye. At least you tried. I am afraid to go to sleep still. There is a man in a dark cloak who has been trying to kill me for quite some time now. Well, at least I think..." He looked over and smiled at her. "Anyway, some time, you have to go to the room with the piano with me. While you left me, I prepared a surprise for you. If they let us go, I am sure it will be the thing to cheer you up even more."

"I didn't try to go to sleep, it was an accident." She said with a slight shrug. "It was an accident." She repeated. She couldn't stand sleeping. All her dreams were about her mother, father, or something completely bizarre. when she heard he had a surprise for her, it cheered her up a tad bit more. "I would love that." She told him, placing a hand on his. She then let out a small sigh. She began to think about her having a psychiatrist. She hadn't had one for a year. From what she was told, she was making progress, and didn't need one. She dreaded the fact she was back at step one.

"Accidents happen." Lux smiled lightly and looked down, she had put her hand on his. So she grabbed onto her hand and stood up. He took her along with him as he walked out of her room. He went down the hall and saw that the room with the piano was open. He led her inside and let go of her hand. "Stay here." He went over to the piano and dragged a chair over so that it was next to the piano bench. He walked over to Emilye and grabbed her hand and took her over to the piano. "Have a seat." He then sat down on the bench. He lifted his hands and let out a soft sigh before he began to play the piano. It was a soft and delicate tune. It only lasted for about a minute or two. When he was done, he stared at the keys. "That song was about you."

When he stood up, Emilye did also.She began walking with him through the white halls. When he said stay here, she nodded. "Okay." She said, and stood there for a moment. "Okay." She said again in a quieter tone. She watched as he moved the chair, and before she knew it, she was sitting in the chair beside the piano. As he played a small smile was on her face. The tune was quite lovely, and probably the best song she had heard. When he spoke, her smile grew larger. "That was..That was the most amazing song I've ever..I've ever heard." She said with her hands folded nicely in her lap.

Lux smiled softly. "Thank you. You are a great muse. I wrote this no problem." Lux looked over at Emilye and smiled again. "Meeting you was one of the best things to happen in this place for me. I have been so alone, and just dark. But you showed up. Now I have a friend, someone to talk to, to have fun with, to joke around with. You make me feel brighter." He paused. "To be perfectly honest."

Emilye blushed at his flattery. "Thank you." She said with a kind smile. He was such a lovely person, and had such a way with words. "Well, the feeling is mutual. I do look forward to, well, eternity with you in the god forsaken place." She said with a slight laugh. She was still speechless from the beautiful song he wrote.

Lux laughed at her comment towards this place. "Oh yes, it will be a grand. Having to have someone watch my every move, someone to tell me that I am sick when I already know I am. A place that doesn't allow me any freedom whatsoever." He pushed his hair back and began to play random scales on the piano. He was suddenly beginning to feel nervous. Usually that meant a hallucination was coming on. Maybe if he just ignored it, it would go away. He didn't want Emilye seeing it. From what he has heard he gets a bit scary when he has fits. "Listen...if I run away, it isn't you.." He said softly. Lux looked down at the piano and the keys were suddenly severed fingers. He stood up suddenly making the stool fall over. He watched at the top of the piano opened up and there was a woman with dark eyes peering out at him. "No." He whispered. He began to back away but he tripped over the stool. The woman crawled out the piano and began to crawl towards him, in a disturbing manner. "No! Stay away." The fingers from the piano suddenly became snakes and they were quickly slithering towards him, the woman was also getting quicker. Lux ran out of the room, and was chased until a dead end. The woman was hitting him, biting him, scratching him, while the snakes bit too. He screamed. When the nurses found him, he was scratching and biting himself, screaming for help. They eventually snapped him out of it, but he went blank. They stood him up and took him to get cleaned up.

Emilye watched as he began to whisper. She wanted to help him, but she knew she couldn't. No one could help her in her mind, so she knew he couldn't be helped. She sat with her head down. She listened in horror. She hated that she couldn't help him. She heard nurses helping him, and she began to wait a while.

After about ten minutes of the nurses helping him, she went into the nurse's room, and saw him. She smiled, and knelt in front of him, as he did her earlier. She placed a hand on his cheek, and softly stroked it until her hand fell on his leg.

Lux sat in a chair looking at the floor. A few spots on his arms were wrapped up in bandages. He had one hand wrapped up completely. Also there was a bandage on his face on his cheek. There were bunch of smaller scratches on his arms and hands too. The nurses had just left the room. They told him that they were going to up his dosage. He didn't know how he was going to be around people after this one. Either normal, or monotone, or a mix of the two. He heard footsteps and he looked up to see that it was. He saw that it was Emilye and he looked away. He felt a bit embarrassed. Her touch was soft, and calming, he looked at her. "It was a bad one...I am afraid of the piano now...I can't go near it...she might come out again..." He said softly.

Emilye looked at him when he said he couldn't go near the piano, and thought for a moment. She couldn't let him be afraid of what he loved most. "Here." She said. She took off her necklace. It was a small golden cross with a delicate, small golden chain. She placed it in the palm of his hand, and closed his hand, wrapping his fingers around it. "It was my..my mother's." She said, touching his face making him look at him. "When I was young.. when I was young, mother died. She always told me this had magical powers,and would rid all evil. It helps me feel better." She said, touching her now bare neck. "I want you to have it." She added, patting his leg. She stood up and placed her hand in his hair. "I will not..I will not allow you to fear what you love most." she said smiling.

Lux stared at the necklace when Emilye took it off her neck, and continued to stare at it when it was in her palm. She was giving him something that meant a lot to her. He felt her move his head so that he was looking at her. This necklace was given to her by her dead mother, and she was letting him wear it. He must have been some kind of special. Then she explained herself. She wanted him to continue playing the piano. It was the nicest thing anyone has done for him the whole time he has been here. He took the necklace from her and put it on. He then stood up and hugged her. "Thank you Emilye. You are the kindest person I know."
