Tsare raised an eyebrow and smiled, "Pardon me for asking, love, but you're in quite the mood, aren't you? Any reason for that?" They were taking a long time to walk to and ask the Captain that question, but he didn't mind.

Arizona sighed and shook her head, "Dissent: That is not what makes me.." She closed her eyes for a moment and then agreed reluctantly, "Consent." The android squirmed for a moment before quietly admitting, "Commentary: I...Do not see the difference between the illegality of myself and my brother. If I may make a request..I would very much like his presence." She glanced at Cartwright with a sad frown, not seeming to completely understand his answer, either; she probably didn't consider herself a slave.

Sparky glanced at him and shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know. Guess I'm just feeling happy..." She frowned slightly, "Does that ... make you uncomfortable?"

Calhoun glanced at his android. His ears had turned backwards in irritation. "You're talking about the militaristic aspect?" he asked, "They should be used for military. These laws are short-sighted." There was a coldness that crossed his eyes that said they were dangerously close to entering a topic that would bring back bad memories. "Your brother is permitted, as long as someone keeps him in line. You are welcome to that charge, Arizona, if no one else will take it."

Tsare laughed and shook his head, "No, no love! Not at all. I'm absolutely chuffed." He reassured her. "Nothing could make me happier than seeing you in a good mood." To his surprise and slight horror, he meant it.

Arizona didn't comment on his take on the law, since she hadn't been lost, but she was fairly certain she broke a fair amount more than just that one law. She nearly squealed when Calhoun gave her permission though, and nodded passionately. "Promise: I will take the utmost care, Captai-"
The ship lurched slightly to the side, as though there was an impact. Arizona did squeal this time. "Exclamation: He's here! Do we have an airlock?!"

Sparky blinked when the ship lurched and fumbled quickly through the door. Maybe the time that she had been smiling at him and speaking with him was an attempt at flirtation that seemed only like friendship; or maybe, she really was just naive. "What was that?"

Calhoun frowned slightly. "Yes. Cartwright, where's the airlock?"

"Unit 3, lower level." The insectoid answered.

Tsare caught onto a wall and flinched when he hit his shoulder, but darted after Sparky. The idea that should could be flirting didn't occur to him - he'd already assumed she was a bit incapable of that. Arizona answered Sparky's question gleefully. "Response: It's Alaska!" Despite the total lack of information in her statement, Tsare paled somewhat.

Arizona heard Cartwright and knocked lightly on the outer wall, then ran her hand down it to lead Alaska to the airlock with sound. Judging from the loud, echoing footsteps from outside, it was working. For her credit, though, Arizona looked to Calhoun to ask, "Request: Permission to activate the airlock, Captain?"

Since Tsare seemed to have some sort of grasp as to what an "Alaska" was, Sparky looked towards him. "What's that?"

Calhoun nodded. "Permission granted. Let him inside before he freezes."

Never said if I should or not, so... o_o;;

Tsare whispered in response, "Another person, love, that will not be pleased to see me." The Zrech started to back towards her workshop again, stepping lightly and quietly.
If Arizona noticed, she didn't comment. She drained the airlock long enough for her linear unit to enter it and close the door behind him, then fixed the air pressure back. By the time the strangely-clad android entered the ship, Tsare was hiding. Arizona let out a squeal of delight and hugged the man while his judging eyes scanned over the crew. He identified Calhoun and nodded slightly, "Captain." There was a slight edge to his voice.

Calhoun nodded. "Good Afternoon," He offered. The edge to his voice matched the other man's. "Welcome to my ship. I assume you are Arizona's linear unit, Alaska." The Vishe offered his hand towards the android. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

Sparky blinked and started to wander out of the room to try to find Tsare.

Arizona was grinning, just ecstatic that he was there. Alaska nodded back to Calhoun and shook his hand firmly, then glanced at Cartwright. "Pilot, I presume." He addressed the bug. He watched Sparky leave with a vaguely curious expression, then decided that he didn't care. He turned to Calhoun and addressed him, "You activated me, then. Why?"

Tsare was ducked behind the door, still pale and trying to think of how not to be found by the linear unit.

Cartwright let out a little chirp that would have translated into a snort of amusement. "I stand by these controls for show." He muttered sarcastically. The machine around his neck didn't understand either muttering or sarcasm and repeated at full volume: "I am near these controls for no purpose."

Calhoun rubbed his head, making a mental note to have the translator worked on. It spoke too loudly. "We were working on Arizona's programming. It suggested we activate the Linear Unit... for some reason."

Sparky was following him around, confused and mostly blowing what little cover he had. "Why are you hiding?"

Arizona smiled at the missed sarcasm from the translator, and Alaska also seemed to note it - it was possible that the linear unit had a translating chip as well. He watched Alaska's continued smile and raised an eyebrow in silent commentary.

He turned to Calhoun and nodded with a small frown. "Do you activate all of my sister's suggested programming without looking into it?"
Arizona's smile momentarily faded, but she tried to focus on waving at Cartwright instead. After all, she couldn't stop Alaska before he spoke.

Alaska overheard Sparky and his eyes lit up with interest. He followed the sound by walking back Arizona, who followed him like a puppy. When he saw Tsare, then android's eyes narrowed. "The dealer." He growled.
Tsare squeaked and flinched.

Cartwright took a step away from the controls, closer to the Captain. The Linear Unit did seem a bit aggressive. He was sure this would end poorly. Despite that, he focused on Arizona, not sure why she was waving.

Calhoun rolled his shoulder. His tail flicked as the hair along his back and neck rose. "I don't frequently, but if I did, it would be none of your business. She's my unit." A slight smile ran over his face as he looked at her.

Sparky frowned slightly and looked at her. "Hi." She offered, smiling. "I'm Sparky! Who are you?"

Arizona had dropped the wave when she followed Alaska to the mechanic's room, and seemed rather confused by his anger. Of course, she didn't like Tsare, either, but she didn't remember him.

Alaska snorted at Calhoun's response without looking at the captain, though he did glance at Sparky. "Alaska. The guy that's about to kick the sorry a** of the sick twit who sold my sister!"
Tsare just laughed uncomfortably while Arizona gave them a very bewildered stare. "Query: He...Did what?"

The expression that crossed Sparky's face was one of the most pathetic expressions that might have ever graced the face of a beautiful girl. "You can't hurt him." She said, putting her hand on Tsare's shoulder. "He's my friend.... He must have had a reason for taking your sister. A good reason."

Calhoun eyed them before he put his hands into his pockets to watch. If they were going to have a little tiff that was alright. He'd stop it if it got out of hand.
