She glanced back at Damien "...yes?" she answered, then turning to face him seeming a bit upset.

"You ok?" Damian tilted his head. "I mean..you seem upset."

"he's upset and I don't know what I did wrong..." she sighed

Damian looked at her. "Kain never once had a girl. He might just be trying to convey how he feels. Although he's probably doing a poor job."

"...what do I do then? I mean...do I go tonight or do I cancel or...god damn no one told me this would be so difficult" she sighed and leaned her back on the counter.

Damian shrugged. "Up to you. Who do you think would treat you better?"

Jessica didn't even have to think about the answer. Of course Kain would treat her better..."but he can't get involved with me...can he?"

"He would be breaking a rule but...it just makes things better." Damian chuckled.

She glanced over at kain again, wringing her hands together a bit. How would she do this...? And what about Damien? He had liked her too...but with the new information she has recieved she knew he couldnt be with her...."but it doesn't even seem like he wants to..."

Damian covered his face with his left palm. "Seriously? He's acting this way because he thinks you are not interested. That you want to be with some guy you just met."

Jessica looked back to Kain "oh...." she shifted a bit "I see..." so he was jealous...it was so unlike him...she walked over to Kain once again and stood beside him "I'm not going to go out tonight..." she said to him. "well...not with him anyway. I'd rather go with...someone else" she touched his hand again.

Kain blinked and looked at her in surprise. "But...I thought you were into that guy?"

"he's cute but...I don't know him..." she shrugged "besides...you could be right, he could be dangerous."

"Anything is possible." Kain felt bad. "I didn't mean to ruin your evening..or your plans."

Jessica shook her head "you didn't ruin anything Kain, don't worry" she smiled at him and took his hand into hers
