Serah sat at the base of a weeping willow tree. The dark bark of the tree damp from the last shower of rainfall. The black haired girl had her eyes shut and knees brought to her chest as she dozed lightly in the sunlight. Though she was in no sense old, she was always alone. She chose to be but was never invited in anywhere either. She guessed it was because she wasnt exactly normal looking, even for Victorian standards. Every lady should be pretty and wear nothing but pink frilly dressed. Blah, she rather have her eyes pulled out. She opted to wear black, gothic style dresses with corset tops and sticky out short skirts with boots. It was highly frowned upon but she didnt care. Why blend in when you can stand out? If beign alone is her price for her own life then so be it. She opened her eyes a little, one glittering silver, the other glittering gold. She blinked and yawned a little, flexing her gloved covered fingers before glancnig around herself once more.

The Undertaker
The undertaker had been taking a stroll through the city and came upon the edge of it which a river ran across his path. Across the water he spotted a lonely girl sitting at the base of a willow tree alone. He didn't easily feel guilty for others, and even if he was a retired shinigami he still had a heart for things, even if he liked to mostly tease people. Seeing a few rocks in the water to go across, and a bridge far off from where he was he decided to take a shortcut. The silver/gray haired man skipped across the stones without falling in and landed on the grassy dirt. Moving his way towards the tree and girl he spoke out."What ever is wrong young one?"Sure he wasn't really caring about others, but sometime he sounded so.

Serah realized she was being spoken to, still half asleep she hadnt heard or seen the male approach. her strange eyes turned toward the man clad in black. She didnt know him but the way he dressed was somewhat of a curiousity to her. She shook her head a little and moved a little so that she kneeled instead of sat. She then looked at him again;
"Nothing is wrong" she said and her eyes glittered, tyhe silver looking liquid and gold looking ominous "I was just out here, thinking. Out here is the best place to think, because no one comes out here to hunt me away" she stated and trailed her fingers alogn the rough bark of the willow tree "I think its because of this tree, people dont like Willow trees.."

Serah's gaze flickered back to him as she saw him appraoch her more and also ask more questions. She blinked her eyes , dark hair fallings across her shoulders.
"Wolves? No, I worry from time to time but a wolf would not attack unless provked or starving. A stravign wolf would go to the city, not to me and I would provoke one" she replied as if it were obvious "And a person attacking me? I never considered it, never had to" she admitted and continued to watch him, one hand still against the tree trunk idly.

Serah looked at him, was he being serious? Someone actually wanted to help her? The deemed untouchable, the forsaken gothic lolita? How... new. Her abnormal gaze then flickered to his extended hand. she was confused yes but still it was an offer she felt she couldnt refuse. She accpeted his hand and then stood, skirt only reaching to kneecap as opposed the traditional full length, the black lace bobbing a litte fro mthe movement.
"I would be glad of the place to stay" she said and looked up at him though she couldnt see his eyes "You know, you are the first person to speak, let alone approach me, in the last few years" she said matter of factly. "I am Serah Pascel" she said the hint of a smile on her face..

"I guess so" she said and was back to her usual serious self "Wait... I have heard of you now, you live in the morgue down town" she said and perked her head to the side a little, pink tipped black hair moving a little as she did so..

She coudlnt quite say she could agree but in a sense she understood what he meant and bsides he was surely effected, working in a morgue and what not. It was also evient that this male wasnt infact human, the manner about him was the giveaway.
