Nautlius escourted Myfi up the left side of the stairs, and lead her down a long hallway opening a door for her, "My lady..." He smiled stepping back to let her see the room she was to stay in.

Loligo giggled still hanging off of Casticus, "Loligo... is my name.." He laughed once more at his self. "Whats your's?"

Venus drug Kette off to the farest end of the hallway opening a door for him. The room was colored a beautiful rich blue across the walls with gold trimmed moldings on the floor and ceiling. A huge four-poster bed lay in the center of the room with thick blue tapestries that could be hung down over the bed. Just past the bed was a gallery that hung out over the courtyard and it had a beautiful veiw of the city as the sun was setting. Venus squealed and twirled around to land on his bed giggling to herself. Kette ignored her walking past the bed to the gallery watching the waters turn orange and glimmer off the black marble buildings, rubbing his wounded arm, the sun causing the guantlets on his forearms to glimmer brilliantly.

She gasped as she stepped into the silvery room, the walls an almost irradescent green mimiking the waves. Myfi stepped into the room slowly, pressing a hand against the soft satin of the emerald green sheets, next examining the twisted gnarled wood that made up her canopy bed. One wall had a large ornate mirror on it, the frame made from beautifully carved silver and resembled coral and other undersea life. "It is...beautiful...Thank you," she said, turning to him and bowing. She walked over, sitting on the bed, saying, "I do not believe I will recquire any more assistance, thank you. You have been most kind." She smiled softly at the man.

"Casticus," grumbled the kelpie, not wanting to go with the half-crazed carrot top who was currently clinging to him. "Do you mind?" he said annoyed.

Nautilus felt hurt slightly that she was being so proper towards him but he smiled and bowed. "Let me know if you need anything mylady." Slowly he walked towards her leaned over and whispered in her ear. "You're demon's room in down the hallway and to the right." He smiled princely and bowed to her once more. "Sleep well milady." He exited the room and closed the door behind him.

Loligo smiled, "Cheer up man I dont bite... well men anyway." He snickered and tapped a door for him. "Here's your room buddy." A huge grin stretched across his face.

Venus snuck up behind Kette wrapping her arms around him pressing up against his back. Instantly pain shot up his back from his wounds and he yelped gripping the railings panting slightly. Venus softly loosened her grip on him. "I forgot that you had been flogged."

"H-Hard not to notice..." He was starting to not like her being there. She chuckled evilly to herself.

"Of course it was." She slipped between his arms and sat on the railing to become inches away from his face. "I'm sorry will you forgive me?" She began to pout again sliding her hands up his chest and wrapping them around his neck trying to pull him closer, as the last little but of the sun's glimmer faded behind the trees on land. She inched closer to him narrowing her eyes and touched her lips to the side of his neck. "I'll make it better." Kette was suddenly frozen to the spot, his legs felt weak and his arms had to strain to keep himself up. A rough knock at the door snapped him out of his trace as Nautilus's voice followed.

"Venus!" His voice sounded stern. "You're father wants you." She sulked hanging her head to the side and cocking her shoulders. Slowly she got up and pressed herself close to Kette sliding her leg up his own kissing him deeply then let go. "I'll finish this later." Kette gasped slightly after she let go of him and watched her leave the room.

"s**t..." He panted slightly then took off his boots and eased into bed his wounds aching feircly, Venus was not as gentle as Myfi. He soon fell asleep after a very rough day.

Casticus simply shut the door, not particullarly caring whether or not it hit the annoying one. He flopped onto the bed uncerimoniously, quickly falling asleep.

Myfi slipped into the gossamer nightgown she had found tucked away in one of the drawers of the dresser and crawled under the cover, repeating the directions that Nautilus had given her in her head.


She was panting, out of breath and frightened out of her mind. The small empty room she was in seemed to be closing in on her as the darkness engulfed her. She backed into the corner, shadows swirling around her. Myfi screamed as her hand hit something warm and wet, looking down to barely see the crimson liquid on her hands. She looked forward, a loud cry tearing from her throat as a pair of glimmering white teeth shone in front of her.

She awoke in a cold sweat, completely out of breath and gasping desperately for air. her thin nightgown was clinging to her her body and her skin felt icy cold. Myfi quickly bolted from her bed, shaking as she stumbled down the hall. Down the hallway to the right. Down the hallway to the right. She reached the door, quickly opening it and tiptoing inside. "K-Kette?" she whispered, softly padding over to his bed. She leaned over his bed, tears slipping down her eyes as her body racked with sobs as she desperatly whispered, "Kette!"

Kette stirred in his sleep rolling over gently on his back to look up at her, blinking several times to make out her shape in the darkness. "M...Myfi?" After realizing it was her he sat up quickly, hurting himself. "Uhnn.. Whats wrong?" He rubbed his eyes waking up more and realized she was crying. "Whats happened?" He gently grabbed her by the shoulders to sit her down on the bed. The moon cast rippling rays through the water and across his back making him shimmer slightly.

"I-I had a nightmare," she whimpered, breathing in shudders. She wrapped her arms around him, hiding her face in his chest as she cried, shoulders shaking as she attempted to get closer to him. The moonlight was coming through the window casting ripples on her gossamer nightgown giving her the illusion of a euthereal halo around her body.

Kette smiled softly and pulled the shivering girl into his arms, "Come on.." He threw the covers back and nestled her in the covers beside him, tucking her in tightly. "That better?" He laid down next to her rubbing her arm to comfort her. The demon gradually warmed his body to heat the bed and to try and warm her as well.

Myfi nodded softly, sniffling and wiping away her tears. "Thank you," she whispered snuggling up to him to get closer to his warmth. Slowly but surely her trembling stopped and her breathing evened out to normal. Myfi's eyelids suddenly felt heavy as she suddenly realized exactly how tired her body was. "I was so frightened," she whispered fearfully.

"Its ok... I'm here now.. nothing will hurt you." He noticed how tired she was and yawned hisself. He pulled her close by her waist and rubbed her back tenderly. "Get some sleep, I'll watch over you." He rested his cheek against her forehead stroking her silvery hair slightly.

Myfi shivered at the feeling of his fingers in her hair, enjoying the feeling of his touch. She muttered something unintelligable before allowing herself to succumb to sleep, warm and with the knowledge that nothing was going to hurt them.

Kette nuzzled his face into her hair smiling until he caught a scent that was familiar to him. It smelled of fresh snow and wintery earth; tears came to his eyes but he did not cry. The demon squeezed her tiny slender body to his own huddling close, it was now her that was protecting him. Softly he whispered a name he was very fond of and fell asleep pressed tightly to her.

Myfi's eyes slowly fluttered open as the rays of sunlight reflected through the water and into the room. She looked around for a moment before she realized where she was. I am with Kette, she thought comfortingly to herself. I am safe. She nuzzled up to the demon, not wanting to release her hold on his warmth just yet. She looked up into his face as he slept, thinking to herself that she had never seen him look more peaceful. The selkie reached out to brush her fingertips across his jaw before allowing her hand to rest there and shutting her eyes once again.

The demon slept peacefully through the morning, until the door to his room was flung open and a bright voice sang, "Good morning!!" He last note sounded sour as she realized that curled in the demon's arms was the girl from earlier. "Kette!" Her voice turned shrill. Slowly he looked up out of one eye wondering why the hell this woman was interupting his sleep in such a loud voice.

Myfi nuzzled up under his chin and into his neck, trying to get away from the awful shrieking noise that the woman kept insisting on making. She sleepily wrapped her arms around his neck, whimpering slightly and peaking at the woman from under his head. As she slowly became more aware of what was going on she watched the woman through wide eyes as if scared of recieving a scolding.

The nymphian woman began screaming at the girl, "Who do you think you are! Kette is mine! I saw him first!! You stupid little whore!!" Kette had heard enough, protectively he leaned over the girl in his arms keeping her underneath him and away from the freaked out Venus.

"Enough." His voice was dark and full of warning. Nautilus was standing the hallway listening to the entire thing with his arms crossed. Venus growled her face turning red, and stomped out past Nautilus and stormed down the hallway.
