Welcome to Gaia! ::

She leaned over, taking it in her hands. Instead of putting on the coat, she simply gripped it in her hands, eyes focused intently on it. The selkie felt burning tears biting at her brown eyes despite the fact that she was trying to fight them back with every fiber of her being. She found her hands shaking, realizing that she was sobbing, and her vision of the coat turning into a blurry blotch of red among the grass. She gripped it tighter, closing her eyes and bringing it up to cover her face. "Why..." she asked softly, her voice slightly muffled from the cloth.
He took a slow but deep breath, "Because..... I'm stupid, Myfi. I keep looking back at the past.... so I can't see whats in front of me." He buried his face in his palms hating himself. The wind chilled his skin and tossed his hair between his fingers."
She clutched the coat to her chest and mouth, attempting to hold back the tears. "I thought...that maybe..." She shook her head, dismissing the idea. "Nevermind. Nevermind...I'm simply being foolish..." The selkie looked painfully at the sunrise, tears still flowing down her pale face yet not sobs escaping her throat.
Kette could feel her tears as if they were dripping down his own flesh. He wanted to touch her, pull her into his lap and press her close to him. He wanted to kiss her, to tell her everything, all his pains, his secrets but he just couldn't. It would only hurt her even more, he was not meant to love. He managed to whisper, "Myfi... please dont cry.... not because of me."
Myfi bit her lip, closing her eyes tightly. "I can't..." she said. "I just...can't..." She pulled her knees up to her chest. "I do not understand...I wish I could..." She looked confusedly at the horizon, as if there was something wrong with it. "I feel...empty...as if there simply is no more happiness..." She shook her head. "I don't know what to do anymore..."
He finally glanced at her, allowing his walls to tumble down, "Why? What reason do you have to be so unhappy?" He wanted to help her, but at the same time he was frustrated that she was so unhappy when she was perfectly capable of being happy.
"I..." she looked down in thought. "...I don't know what is true anymore..." For the first time in a day she looked up at him and met his ember eyes with her own chocolate one. "I thought I knew...but...things have apparently changed..." She looked sadly back at the coat before gently, so gently, laying it between them.
Kette finally braved his fears and barely traced the tips of his fingers across the back of her arm. "Please, talk to me..." His want to help her was killing him now. "Myfi...." His fingers skimmed up her arm to her shoulder.
She shivered at his touch, taking in a sharp gasp. "I thought..." she looked away, for fear that if she was to meet his gaze she would burst into tears again. "I thought you...cared for me...a bond stronger than friendship...but..." She shook her head once more, covering her eyes with her hands. "I believe I was wrong..."
Kette suddenly felt even more stupid and ignorant than he had been. He stumbled for words that he only prayed she could understand. "Myfi... there have been some things happen to me... that I haven't been able to deal with... and i've done some things that i shouldntve," He was fighting with his tongue, as it kept getting stuck in his mouth causing him to fumble through his vocabulary. He rung his hands through his hair pushing it back in frustration the battle between his mind and his heart raging violently. He suddenly slid his arm behind her back pulling her towards him a bit and kissing her. Instantly he felt increasingly stupid and let her go, bracing himself for her rejection. "I... I'm sorry" He stuttered out as hastily as he could.
At first she simply stared at him in surprise, her cheeks still stained with tears yet her eyes wide as saucers. She touched her fingers softly to her lips before leaning in closer, only a centimeter from his lips. She looked hazily from his eyes to his lips, inviting him closer. "Please..." she whispered softly, placing her hands over his. She could almost hear her own heartbeat punding wildly in her chest as if it would burst. She took a deep breath and waited.
Stunned for a moment that she had not retreated, he regained himself quickly feeling his confidence come back. He breathed in relief and gave in to everything he had been fighting, kissing her again, one hand pressed against her cheek, the other winding between her arm and her side pulling her closer. He kissed her deeper and more passionately running his hand through her silvery hair.
Myfi slowly wrapped her arms around his neck, returning the kiss with every emotion she had built up ever since that day at the beach. The selkie ran her fingers through the raven locks on the back of his neck, gently brushing them against his tanned skin. She scooted closer to the demon, pressing closer to him in an attempt to be as close as possible to him. She wasn't absolutely positive what to do, her kiss nervous and unexperienced yet filled with all the passion she could muster.
He refused to let the kiss go pulling her into his lap and pressing her small form close to his body, hands trailing up and down her back and arms. Slowly he let go of her lips allowing them to still barely touch as he whispered, "I love you." He touched his forehead to her's, looking deep into her eyes.
She shut her eyes, taking in a shuddering breath. "I love you too," she whispered against his lips, her small hands pressed up against his chest. She could feel his heart beat, entertwining with her own to make a dual rythm. "Kette..." she pulled herself closer to where they were pressed flush against each other. She could feel her entire face turning red, the warm glow traveling down her arms and shoulders. "I love you."
