Welcome to Gaia! ::

Myfi withdrew her hand quickly as Kette and Keifer took off running into the forest. She sat on the ground for a moment staring off in the direction that they were running before looking around at all the men that had been previously watching the fight. Frightened that the men surrounding her were probably a lot less kind that Keifer, she quickly got up, tearing off into the forest after the two. She was a quick girl, but there was no way she could keep up with the two fire demons, having to follow in the direction that their noise was coming from.
Keifer finally caught up to the enraged younger demon and pinned him to a tree. "Calm down!"

"No! Get the ******** off of me!!" He wriggled and slammed his fist into the other's chest. Keifer groaned but didnt budge.

"Stop! You're acting like a kid!!"

"Like you would know how a kid acts!! I dont need you go away!!" His words where biting at Keifer but he held tighter to the boy. "You're no father of mine!"

"Kette... " His voice sounded full of pain.
Myfi stopped, finally catching up with the two. She stood silently behind a tree, pressing her hand against the bark. The selkie made no noise nor did she move from her spot, simply watching the two and not wanting to interrupt. She felt a pang of sadness for the two, suddenly missing her own parents.
Kette struggled vainly against his father but slowly he started to calm down. The rain beat down on the two as Keifer held fast. "I didnt want to leave you behind."

"Bull s**t!! Then why did you??"

"The council.... kept you from me.... Your mothers death was cause enough for them to hide you from me and then abandon you when they realized that you were too much for them... I was told you were dead." The demon was trembling now while Kette was growling with anger.

"You're the reason she died!! If it wasnt for you raping her she'd still be alive!!" Keifer suddenly growled in anger.

"Is that what those bastards told you?!?! I loved Makara! I still do!!" Kette was shocked at his sudden aggression. Slowly he rested his forehead against Kette's shoulder, "I loved her with everything I had.... I was so happy the day she told me she was pregnant with you." Kette felt all the hate and anger he had ever had towards his father begin to wash away.
Myfi slowly stepped out from behind the tree, looking down at the ground and shyly taking several steps forward them. The selkie awkwardly rubbed her arm, glancing up quickly at the two, feeling as though she was intruding. "Kette...?" she whispered softly. "Uh-...y-you should...really give him a chance..." She lookedup at them through her big brown eyes, allowing her hair to fall in her face embarrassedly.
Kette did not realize that Myfi had followed him. "M-Myfi.... I..." He softly sighed and rested his head against the shoulder of his father. "I guess... i could... since you asked." Tears came to Kette's eyes as Keifer embraced him tightly as Kette hugged him aswell. Both men sniffled trying to hide their tears as they backed away after a few minutes and Kette raced to Myfi and lifted her into his arms and whispering, "Thank you."
Myfi, surprised tensed at his sudden embrace before slowly relaxing in his arms. The selkie gently wrapped her arms around his neck for support, nuzzling up to his warmth. She tipped her head to the side, petting his hair and whispering, "For what...?"
Keifer smiled patting his son on the shoulder. "Come on.... lets go back to the camp and have a drink."

"Absinthe?" Keifer smiled, ruffling the demon's hair and walking back to the camp muttering.

"Thats my boy." Kette growled still not used to his affection just yet. He scooped Myfi into his arms and carried her back to the camp whispering to her.

"Are you hurt?"
Myfi shook her head, laughing softly at the two like small bells. "No, Kette. I am fine." The selkie snuggled into his arms as he walked, closing his eyes. "Where are the others?" She asked looking from father to son in hopes of an explanation to her question.
Keifer glanced back at the girl smiling. "They're alright. We generally dont hurt our prisoners." His arrival back at the camp was a warm one. All of his men surrounded him wanting to know who this mystery boy was. "Every one!" He stood on top of a crate to make his annocement. "My son... has come home!!" The men shouted and cheered with joy for their leader. "Tonight! We shall have a feast like no other!" The louder he shouted the more apparent his german accent became. The men cheered and shouted then all began to scurry about the camp sight gathering all the food and alcohol they could find. A fine feast it would be. Keifer grabbed a passing messanger boy, "Tell them to release my son's companions."

Kette wasnt liking all the attention; he still didnt trust all of the men so he kept a protective arm around Myfi.
Myfi stood close to Kette, looking nervously at the men that had previously hurt and bound her friends. She was still uncomfortable around them, the image of the rotting corpses burned into her memory. She scanned the crowd for the three that were still captive, making sure she stayed with the demon.

Casticus wandered from a tent, rubbing the back of his neck and cursing profusely under his breath at the man that had released him. They couldn't hear what he was saying, but Myfi was pretty sure it went something like, "Filthy demons with their stupid ways..."
Lance stumbled from another tent rubbing his neck as well and securing the sword on his back. "Ow..." He caught sight of Myfi and raced through the crowd to leap onto her hugging her. "You're ok!"

Sylryl emearged from another tent and walking towards them with grace and silence.

Kette watches as they came towards him and stepped back slightly to hide behind Myfi slightly. He wasnt too comfortable with admitting that Keifer was his father just yet.
Casticus's eyes went wide when he saw Myfi, quickly running up to her, all other thoughts forgotten. "Are you alright?! Did anyone hurt you!?" he asked in almost a panic, placing his hands over hers. Myfi only laughed as she was practically attacked by the two males before giggling out, "No, no one has hurt me."

Casticus, sighing in relief from her reply, turned then to Kette. "So how exactly did you two get them to welcome us with open arms?"
Kette shrugged keeping his eyes downcast, "Just a smooth talker I guess." He inched farther behind her.

Sylryl sighed, "well regaurdless we cant waste our time here."

"We dont know when we'll get our next meal and have a safe place to stay we might as well stay with them." Kette added quiet not really wanting to leave Keifer.
Myfi placed a hand over his, understanding his request. "I agree," she said softly. "They will no longer hurt us. We are safe here now and we do not know when we will be able to enjoy that feeling again." Casticus crossed his arms, not taking his eyes off of Kette, knowing he was lying. His piercing blue-grey eyes suddenly snapped over to the older demon, eyes boring in him from a distance.
