The door made no sound as the demon gently pushed it open to watch Casticus tend to Myfi. Feeling even more inadequate he softly shut the door and fell back against the wall sliding down to the floor burying his face in his forearms.
The young soldier had wriggled his way to under the covers and was snoreing softly.

Myfi softly managed to mumble out, her voice muffled by the covers, "Is Kette back...?" The kelpie's smile instantly left his face as he looked away from her. After a few moments he slowly answered, "No, Myfi..." Her entire body tensed for a moment as if almost hit before relaxing, worry stabbing at her. Casticus sighed, rubbing her arm once again, trying to calm the distressed selkie.

The elf gently touched the selkie's thoughts.
He's outside the door.
The demon painfully lifted himself off the ground to slowly make his way down the hallway.

Myfi's eyes instantly shot open as she threw the covers from the bed, surprising the kelpie and nearly making him jump from his spot. She quickly ran to the door, pulling it open and bolting down the hallway to where he was. "Kette!" She nearly jumped on him, hugging him tightly and shutting her eyes. "I was so worried about you..."

He stopped suddenly, "How... did.." He didnt even finish the question before he succomed to his urge to hug her. Quickly he turned around and lifted her into his arms. "Im sorry. I didnt mean to make you worry."
Sylryl only shook her head slightly and resumed her staring out the window.

"It is alright, Kette," muttered the still slightly sleepy selkie, holding on to him tightly. "I am just glad you are not hurt..." She leaned her head against him tiredly, suddenly feeling like sleeping again in his warmth. That was it...She had figured out what she had been missing.
Casticus looked down, his hair casting a shadow across his face as his fists gripped the covers the young selkie had just previously been laying on.

Kette rubbed her back warming her up with his magic. "We'd best get going before she comes after you again." He was looking at Sylryl.
Sylryl nodded, "wake the boy and lets go."

Casticus didn't say a word, simply getting up and packing whatever he had left, slipping his boots on and sstanding silently in the corner. Myfi nodded, blinking to try to wake up, and walked over to Lance. She gently and motherly placed a small hand on his shoulder and whispered, "Wake up brave Sir Lance...we must be leaving..."

The knight slowly rolled himself closer to Myfi. "MMh... i dont wanna... train... dad...." He snored softly hiding his face in her thigh. Kette growled and thumped the boy on the ear.
"Get up.. or we'll leave you here." He kicked the bed several times. Lance sat up quickly with the blanket still drapped over half of his face and his messy blonde hair sticking out on the other side.
"I'm up I'm up!!"

Myfi looked determinedly at the boy's hair, running her fingers through it and watching as they caught on the knots. She sat down next to him, slowlly working the tangles out with her small fingers, saying, "If you do not brush it it will get knots in it and you will have to cut it..."
Casticus was already next to the door, wanting more than anything to just go ahead and leave.

He whinced with every tangle she pulled out of his hair and whine. "oooowwww.... It hurttttssss."
Sylryl stood up and followed Casticus out into the hallway. "you ok?"

"Shhh..." whispered Myfi, very gently sorting out his hair. Once she was finished, she ran her fingers through the blonde locks once more, smiling at her success. "There. All done." She smiled up at Kette warmly, tipping her head to the side.
Casticus leaned up against the wall of the hallway, looking back at the door. "No..." he muttered, his hair causing a shadow over his eyes.

The knight ran his hands through his hair and tied it back behind him. Kette rolled his eyes then stood up. "Lets go."
She raised her brow at the kelphie but followed as the demon made his way outside to get the horses.

Myfi stood up, standing close to Kette, and pressing her hand against his arm. Her expression changed from happy to concerned as her eyes wandered down to his hands. She gently laced her fingers in his, looking at the broken skin over his knuckles and the dried blood that had dripped down his fingers. "What happened...?" she whispered softly, looking up at him with big brown eyes as they walked out of the door.
