Welcome to Gaia! ::

"I am fine Kette...She did not hurt me..." She laid her face against his chest, placing a petite hand over his own larger one reassuringly. "What of you? Are you hurt?" she asked, concernedly leaning more into him and looking up into his ruby eyes. "Why was she here...?"
Kette nodded squeezed her tighter calming down slowly.

Sylryl narrowed her eyes at how quickly Kette has lost control of himself over the girl. "She was after me more than likely." She spoke unemotionally. "Kette... you did exactly what she wanted." Already the elf could tell the tactics of the assassin. "She fights with emotions on her side. You've got to learn to control yourself when dealing with this particular enemy." Kette was not appriciating being lectured.

"So I'm supposed to just let some one kill her?!" He snapped back at the elf angrily.

"You cannot allow some one to control you through your emotions." She spoke slightly softer showing her control compared to his. "Your emotions will cause you to act without prior thought." Kette gripped his fists into Myfi's shirt careful not to hurt her. "Even now you are loosing your temper for no reason."
"Kette..." whispered Myfi, running a hand over his arm, feeling his muscles tense from gripping her top. "Shhh..." she whispered comfortingly into his ear, attempting to calm him. "Síochán leat, mo Kette..." Her accent rolled off of her tongue as she spoke, her breath tickling his neck and she burried her face into his throat. She herself had been surprised at how quickly and aggresively he had jumped to her defense. She wrapped her arms around his neck tighter, gratefully, and closed her eyes.
Sylryls words stabbed through what little pride he had left wounding him severely. She was right. It was the same emotional roller coaster he had been through in the past. Furious that Sylryl had decided to point out his faults he slammed his fist into the wall, letting go of Myfi and stoming out of the room cursing to himself.

Syryl only shook her head wrapping her arms around the selkie speaking with a softer tone. "Dont follow him. He will come back."

The infuriated demon stomped into the darkened streets knocking over stacked crates and wooden barrels. "Dammit!!"
Myfi looked fearfully at the door, not looking away as the elf wrapped her arms gently around her. She closed her eyes tightly, frustrated at her own shortcomings. "Why do I have to be so weak...?" she muttered, leaning against the elf. "All I want to do is help him..." She sighed deeply, turning to hug the taller woman. Her mind was clouded with fears. What if something happened to him? What if he decided not to return?
The rain soaked the earthen streets along with the demon who stumbled down an alleyway to lean back against the cold stone wall allowing his anger and sorrow to take over. His fists burned with white hot flames causing the rain that fell on his fore arms to sizzle and boil. His mind was racing with painful memories that he wanted desperately to erase. Suddenly he whipped around and repeatedly began to slam his fists into the brick wall. He didnt stop until fresh crimson blood began to drip from his knuckles. Shaking, he stoped feeling his eyes burn with tears. He stumbled back and slid down the wall to curl up and rest his head on his knees swearing he could hear the sound of a flute in the rain.

Syryl held the girl tightly as an older sister would. "He will come back little one." For once kindness was present in her voice.
Myfi bit her lip, feeling sleep begin to overtake her body. An ache had appeared once more inside her chest as she glanced out the rainbeaten window. She fought off the tiredness, wanting to be awake when he returned, and laid her head on the elf's shoulder. "H-how are you so sure...?" she whispered sadly.

A bright white speck in the sky hovered over Kette, easily blending in with the moon. It watched him curiously, moving to the side slightly as if tipping its head in confusion. It did not move from its position, simply watching quietly and stealthily.
The elf held her tightly but with kindness. "He wont leave you behind." She gently swayed back and forth trying to calm her down.

The demon shivered from the cold rain unable to warm himself up using his magic. She was right, he was inadequate.
Myfi slowly nodded, eyes shutting and hands going limp. She tiredly fell into sleep in the arms of the elf.

The next morning the selkie sleepily pulled the blankets around her body, attempting to get more comfortable and ease her fitful sleep. She couldn't quite pin down exactly why she hadn't been able to sleep soundly, but it just seemed as if something were missing.
Sylryl stayed awake for the rest of the night watching over the selkie and her companions.

~~

The sun light pierced through the gaps in Kette's arms to force him awake. Slowly he stretched to work out his sore muscles. He leaned back against the cold wall only to see that it was still drizzling. The council was not about to release him from their watchful eyes.
The selkie eventually resorted to curling up in a tight ball, throwing the covers over her head to block out the sun's rays. Meanwhile, Casticus sleepily yawned, running a hand through his mussy bed-hair before looking around the room. He looked straight ahead at the wall, not bothering to make eye contact, and asking drowsily, "Sleep any?"
Sylryl softly spoke, emotionless, "Somewhat." She was stretched out in the chair watching out the window.

Kette slowly stood up his back camping from being in such an uncomfortable position. Reluctantly, he made his way back to the inn with his hands shoved deep into his pockets.
Casticus was tempted to roll over and go back to sleep. He really was. But something kept telling him he needed to be awake, not to mention Lance was burying his face rather uncomfortably into the kelpie's side. Casticus rolled his eyes, scooting away slightly and looking over at the lump in Sylryl's bed that was Myfi, chuckling slightly. "Is there a reason why the demon's gone?" he asked, slighty less amused.
"I pissed him off. He'll be back." She stared out the window watching the rain drizzle and slide down the pane.

The fire demon stood outside the door staring at the handle a good long while thinking if he should enter or not.
Casticus slowly got up, a warm smile on his features and sat on the other side of Myfi. The kelpie carefully rested his hand on top of the covers feeling what was hopefully her shoulder. He caringly rubbed up and down her arm, feeling her shift underneath his touch. "Myyyyfiiii..." he whispered as almost a song. "Are you sleepy?" The girl made a small whining noise, not even pulling the covers down from over her head. She nodded softly, pressing her face through the covers against his knee.
