Welcome to Gaia! ::

The dog seemed to almost chuckle a throaty growl. "You...will...fail..." said the dog, struggling to make words. Its eyes closed as its large head fell to the earth. Myfi touched Kette's shoulder softly, saying, "We must leave..."
Kette gripped his gun frustrated and growled jumping to his horse and gripping the reigns. The ride was long and quiet as darkness began to decend on the three travelers. "We need to set up camp some where." The moon was just beginning to peak from in between the mountains. A soft white glimmer shone through the thick trees; upon riding through the thick line of trees a large beautiful lake stretched across the landscape, it's surface as smooth as black glass and lit up beautifully by the sliver on the moon and protected by the towering volcano on its west bank. "Wow.... so this is Ash Lake..." He smiled glancing familliarly at the glowing red light cast from the magma's light. "The union of fire and water..." He smiled for some secret reason. "We'll set up camp here." His voice was soft and gentle.
Myfie dismounted her horse, kneeling down next to the lake and brushing her fingers over the water. "It is warm," she said with a smile. Casticus seemed a little let down by this fact, prefering the cold waters of the loch. Well, at least it was better than nothing. Myfi laid down next to the lake, her fingers in the water and her back pressed against the cool grass.

Casticus began unpacking the saddlebags, helping to set up the camp for the night.
Kette stood several feet away from his traveling companions gazing longingly at the water. The wind gently tossing his hair across his face, "I'm home..." He whispered to the lake dying to touch the waters. The volcano slowly began to ooze red hot lava into the lake warming it. The lake shore's came alive with fire flies that danced along the tree lines, the lake was welcoming him back. A smile crept across his face.
Myfi looked up from her daydream, watching as the peacefulness past over the fire demon. She smiled, saying, "It's beautiful here." She stood up, skipping happily over to him. "Have you been here before?" she asked, smiling brightly.

Casticus, meanwhile had managed to set up the tent with little to no injury, praying that it wouldn't fall.
He smiled loving the feeling of being at home saying dreamily, "Once before...." He stuck his hands in his pockets fidgeting trying to keep himself out of the water. It called to him like a temptress, a drug, a whisper in his ear he couldnt escape. Most all his life he had stayed away from water as best he could, now he couldnt escape it. "I was born here..." His voice trailed off as he sunk deep in though listening to the water's call.
Myfi listened in wonder as Kette spoke. "You are lucky to have been brought into the world in such a wondrous place," she said, looking around at the landscape. About that time, Casticus pranced over in his horse form, this time not rotten and misfigured but a slender horse with a deep green coat and a dark shaggy mane with sea shells and seaweed caught in it. He trotted into the water, somehow barely making a noise and disappeared under the ripples, his eyes soon peeking out just above the water.
"Most people dont like to think so.... most people dont think I should even be alive." Even though he was talking about his misgivings, he still couldnt stop smiling. He watched casticus swim around wishing he could aswell. "How did you two meet?" He was talking about Casticus.
"It was...a long time ago," said Myfi, looking down slightly. My parents and the rest of the harem, group of seals were killed when I was still young. Casticus was about my age and he found me. We were both orphaned so..." she looked up at Kette, seeing if he was still listening, "we grew closer to each other. He is practically my brother by now."
"No wonder he's so protective of you." He motioned to the kelpie watching them. His will power was becoming weaker the more he watched the kelpie enjoying the water. A water fae needs water to stay alive, but a fire demon does not causing a constant battle inside his mind. The demon finally took his eyes off of the lake to look at the selkie standing beside him. "Das Wasser nennt meinen Namen wie eine Sirene sie singt ihre Liebe-Lieder zu mir, um meine Berührung bittend." He paused looking back at the waters. "The water calls my name, like a siren she sings her love songs to me, begging for my touch."
"I am sorry," she whispered, taking hand. "As soon as this is all over...as soon as the council has granted you a pardon you can come back here." She smiled comfortingly. "I will come with you if you like, or perhaps you would prefer to be alone here. Just know that you will be back in the water soon. Back home soon."

The kelpie didn't seem to be watching them, simply diving down into the water before floating there with his eyes closed.
He smiled extending his hand out over the lake, "I cant wait." The water beneath his hand began to swirl and lift up out of the lake to twist and twirl above his hand never touching him. It rolled into a little ball then raced through the air as thin as a thread and spun around Myfi then made the shape of small angel wings on her back then spun around above her to sprinkle water on her lightly. Kette smiled watching the water drip onto her skin.
Myfi blushed slightly, tilting her head to see the angel wings before giggling, shutting her eyes and holding her hands out as the water sprinkled down onto her, mimicking the freckles on her skin. "Mmm...I wish I could do that," she said eyes fluttering open. "I was too young when I was seperated from my kind. No one ever taught me how to use my magic. Casticus has tried but," she looked out at her friend in the water who seemed to be daydreaming, "his magic is different. Almost as if its on a different wavelength. It's still water magic but...his kind is not like mine. His kind tends to be more unseelie than mine...Your powers are amazing, Kette."
"Its more of a toy than actual powers. I cant use it in large amounts as it is part of my exile." The water continued to dance around her distracting her as Kette slipped behind her and took both of her hands in his own holding them out over the water. Using his own magic, he called the water and formed it into a swirling ball allowing it to rest in her hands. "Call to it with your inner voice... like you did to Hystryx..." He slowly let go of her hands, still standing behind her to watch over her shoulder.
Myfi shut her eyes, focusing all of her energy on pushing and pulling the water, keeping it in the shape of the ball. A warm surge of magic coursed through her veins, as she tried to extend that energy through her fingertips. The water seemed to mishape slightly, the selkie biting her lip eyebrows knitting together as she tried to reel it in.
