Welcome to Gaia! ::

The demon led the way out of the mansion staying about three feet in front of the two with his head down, his wounds ached but it didnt really matter now. They walked silently through the city and through the gates swimming up to the beach. Kette stood with his back to them waiting for them to break the surface and once they had continued to walk without looking back. Minutes passed like hours, a heaviness seemed to weigh down on Kette's shoulders as he stopped next to their cave, picking his jacket up off the ground.
Myfi's breath hitched in her throat on a sharp intake, knowing what was coming. He was going to leave her there. She had been right and Kette couldn't deny it. She dropped back to the end of the group, making sure to use Casticus as a shield so Kette couldn't see her, hoping that neither one of them would turn around as she fought the warm waters rising to her eyes.
Kette had his back to the two, but he could feel the tears in her eyes as if they were about to drip onto his skin. "Myfi...... I meant what I said.... but its your choice now." He gripped his fists in his pockets, damn this weak heart. Another woman had gracefully stepped past his walls just as easily as the first had, and it frustrated him to no end.
"Kette, you know what my answer will be," she said, still not looking up and allowing her teardrops to hit the ground as she walked. "The question is whether or not you truly want it." Casticus looked back at the woman behind him who had gripped onto the back oh his coat.
"If you dont believe what I said, then there's no use in it." He felt every tear as it fell from her cheek and hit the ground. He looked into the sky above still grey with rain clouds. "I wont blame you, Myfi.... I wouldnt believe me either..."
"You have been far too kind to me Kette...I do not wish to burden you any longer." She bowed slightly, saying, "I suppose I should bid you farewell. Goodbye and good luck." She turned, walking away, and into the cave, her footsteps getting swifter as all she wanted to do was get away from it. She dropped down onto her knees in the back of the cave, tears falling into the lake in front of her.

Casticus grit his teeth, a deep growl forming in his throat. He swiftly grabbed Kette, slamming him up against a nearby tree, hissing, "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO MYFI!?!"
Kette wouldnt look the man in the eyes. "I have done nothing to her... its her conscience that's plaguing her right now." His eyes narrowed as a light sprinkle began to fall on the pair. "Words that where nothing meant everything to her."
"AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO FIX IT!?! DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT GIRL HAS BEEN THROUGH?! SHE HAS SUFFERED FAR MORE THAN SHE WILL EVER DESERVE!!!" Casticus was practically roaring in oure rage for the man in front of him at this point. "HOW THE HELL CAN YOU BARE TO HURT SOMEONE AS INNOCENT AS HER!?!? TELL ME, WHEN YOU LOOK INTO HER EYES WHAT DO YOU SEE?!" He had the man by his collar, shaking him and glaring at him dead in the eyes, fangs exposed and teeth bared.
Kette looked seriously into Casticus' a single fang hanging over his lips. "I see a girl who has no one but an over protective pompous brother figure...." His voice got darker, "Who loves to jump to conclusions...." His glare penatrated the other's.
"You're right about one thing," he said, voice quieter but still holding the anger and rage that they had before. "she has no one aside from me. And it looks like it's going to stay that way thanks to you. She trusted you, and you did nothing but break her." He shoved the demon back, sneering at him before turning and disappearing into the darkness of the cave.
Kette stood trembling in anger for a moment before slamming his fist into the tree behind him knocking it down easily. "Dammit!" His fists dripped with blood as the rain picked up. Kette realized that the coucil was watching him now that it was raining. Stuffing his fists in in his pockets, he walked up stream until he approached the town. Without even bothering to take in any sights he made a bee-line for the nearest bar and sat down demanding his favorite acid green drink.
Casticus quickly ran over to the selkie, not saying a word but simply scooping her into his arms and holding her tightly. "It's alright, Myfi...Don't cry...shhh...don't cry..." She simply balled up her fists in the fabric of his shirt, hiding her face and allowing her sobs to ring softly throughout the cave.
The bartender nudged the intoxicated demon, "Hey buddy you need to go, i got other customers." Grumbling the demon stood up taking with him his 24 ounce bottle that had bearly a quarter left. He wandered into the streets and found him an alley to pile up in. He leaned against the wall looking up at the sky that had gone dark with night and the clouds that smothered any light from the moon.
As nightfall slowly took over the sky, Myfi lay awake in the cave, Casticus lying near her dead asleep. A noise, barely loud enough to be heard caused her to jerk up, looking around with wide eyes. Something in the darkness outside caught her eyes, a large dark black figure about the size of a bull shifting in the night just outside the cave. She pushed herself off of the ground, walking to the mouth of the cave and gasping as two bright red eyes appeared, glowing like hellfire along with two rows of massive teeth, each one sharp and fang-like ready to rip the flesh from its victim. Her eyes went wide as the dream came backto her, the scent of blood the smallness of the room. She stood frozen as the large mouth opened, one word coming from the large mouth. "Kette..." The beast bolted off into the night, fear striking into the young selkie's heart.

Myfi turned, running back into the cave and snatching one of Casticus's sickles from the floor, tearing after the beast. Her heart was pounding as she slipped into her skin mid leap into the water, the sickle clasped tightly in her mouth. She was breathing quickly, adrenaline rushing through her veins as the surfaced in the town, pulling off her skin and taking the sickle from her mouth. She tied her cloak around her body, careful not to lose it as the beast ran, just ahead of her hot on the trail of the scent it had picked up off of her. The creature turned into an alleyway, nimble as a cat and lept towards the figure on the ground, a roar ripping from its throat. Suddenly the beast fell to the ground with a whimper mid bound as the sickle dug into its side.

Myfi stooda few feet over from the beast, sickle cover with blood and panting, eyes wide with fear. "KETTE, RUN!" she cried as the beast lept for her this time, pinning her to the ground, sickle landing several feet away from her.
The demon leapt to his feet and dug his hand into the holster on his thigh.

Several shots echoed through the brick streets and sunk into the creature's side. "Get off of her!" The demon ran and slammed into the side of the beast throwing it off of her but causing him to land ontop of her. "s**t..." He lifted off of her. "You alright?"
