Lazarus looked down at his suit and frowned, "Oh, I met a girl earlier...I'd gone to the cafe and well, the place was attacked by Shadows." He shrugged his shoulders, "I'd gotten a few wounds...then I noticed this really beautiful girl healing a child and...well, let's just say that I saved her and she ended up taking me back to her hotel room to patch up my wounds. I ended up taking this suit."

“Beautiful girl, heal?” Ciar looked at the suit and Lazarus. “A beautiful girl that can heal?” He grimaced. “Tell me more about her?” He asked. “How does she look like?” Orphen did say that a surprise was coming, last time he talked with him.

Lazarus thought about it, "Tall, coppery hair, pale...with grayish blue eyes."

Ciar massaged his temple. “Tall, coppery hair, pale with grayish blue eyes?” He looked at him in horror. “Anything different about her aside from the fact that she can heal?”

Lazarus put a hand under his chin, "She has a pet tiger...Named Saber." He grimaced, "I think."

Ciar turned pale looking at Lazarus. “A white one?” He asked weakly.

Lazarus raised a brow at Ciar's expression. He nodded slowly, "...Yeah. A white one."

“……” Ciar massaged his temple, what was she doing here, why was she here. She should be with Kass and Orphen where she is safe not here. “And you were attacked?” Ciar was smiling dangerously now, obviously annoyed. “Was the girl injured?” He asked.

Lazarus just nodded, his eyes narrowing, "Ciar, who is she?" He asked, crossing his arms suspiciously now, "You seem to know her from the way you are speaking to me about her. Who? If it's help you need, I'll give it to you."

“My sister, my twin sister.” Ciar replied as he raked his hand through his hair. “How badly injured was she?” He asked looking at Lazarus sharply. “Oh my ******** god, she was safe where she was. What is that ******** jackass thinking?!” He growled, what was Kass thinking! This probably would be the stupidest thing the man has ever done. They have been keeping their sister away from the organization now this? He was sending her to this place?

Lazarus put a hand under his chin, looking faintly surprised, "Your sister, huh?" Now that he saw it, it was no wonder she had looked so familiar to him, "Yes, I see the resemblance now." He said, "She took a shot to the arm and some scratches but I managed to heal most of her wounds. Here..." He took out a paper and a pen before he scribbled the name the Hotel she was staying in and then her room number. He handed it to Ciar, "Take this. I know what it's like to worry about a sister, so you should go see her immediately. You can pass your assignment to me another day if that's what it takes."

“Assignments on my desk.” Ciar informed him as he took the piece of paper. “Thanks Laz.” He sighed before, rushing to go to the hotel. A shot to the arm? His sister had gotten shot in the arm? And scratches too? He narrowed his eyes as he sped up, oh she was going to get an earful.
Chraizhel blinked back at the nonstop knocking on her door, she looked at Saber who was eyeing the door for a moment and suddenly looking disinterested as she curled herself up in a ball. “Saber?” She raised a brow, the tigress only yawned, she pressed her lips together, well that was unusual, usually the tigress would be ready to pounce by now. She had to grimace upon seeing her brother’s not so happy expression. “Dillan…” She greeted with a wince, not the ideal reunion she wanted.
Ciar grabbed her wrist as he inspected her for any injury. “What are you doing here?” Ciar said rather dangerously, his eyes narrowed.
Chraizhel smiled at her brother rather calmly. “Is that the welcome I get?” She asked as she ran a hand through her brother’s hair. “It’s been three years Dillan.” She mumbled her eyes saddening.
“Chraizh! You shouldn’t be here!” He hissed. “It’s dangerous here!”
Chraizhel smiled at him. “I missed you Dillan.” She whispered.
He will not sway, he will not sway, she shouldn’t be here at all. It is way too dangerous compared to their home. “Chraizhel..” Ciar looked at her quietly shaking his head. “It’s too dangerous here…”
Chraizhel closed her eyes as she wrapped her arms around him. “I’ve missed you Dillan.” She mumbled.
Ciar had to groan in defeat as he wrapped his arms around her kissing her hair, he couldn’t resist it’s been three years after all since he has last seen her, since she has been in his arms. When almost every night they would cuddle. She was his other half after all. “Silly Chraizh..” He sighed. “You should go back home.”
“Too late, I’m going to your school starting tomorrow.” She informed him.
Ciar gaped at that. “WHAT?!” He looked at her in disbelief. “Chraizh! You can’t be here!”
Chraizhel merely smiled at him. “I am staying.” She informed him. “I haven’t been with you for three years. I can’t Dillan, that’s far too long. You are my other half, so we will be together no matter what.” She informed him.
“Chraizh…” Ciar said exasperated. “You already got attacked!” He exclaimed.
Chraizhel had to grimace at that. “I was hoping that you wouldn’t find out.” She mumbled as she took his hand. “Tea?”
“Chraizh..” Ciar frowned at his sister.
“I also made some red velvet cake.” She cooed as she dragged her brother.
“Chraizhel, listen to me.”
“Oh and I can make you some caramel tea.” She said sweetly, she missed her brother and she knew that she had won the argument. Ciar wont refuse her.

If Lazarus had been shocked with Ciar’s predicament, the next week had not been so kind to him at all. Lazarus had quickly found himself in for something of a shock the moment he had rummaged through his classroom files to see that he was to receive a new student that very day.

The first time he ran his eyes through her documents, Lazarus could not believe his eyes.

He knew that pure and innocent face with the soft facial expression, those luscious curls as black as ebony, the doll like beauty, the strawberry shaded cheeks, the small mouth and the gentle curve of her nose, those violet embers—soulful, pensive eyes that trembled with delicate unease behind the guise of a picture. He had merely struck the back of his pen against this document that had been tucked away into a manila envelope. When he entered the room that day to start the second term, his visage was solemn as he looked around the room at his students, hoping so badly not to see her. She wasn’t there. It did her no good to be late on her first day, but Laz was half relieved.

He was not sure how he would have reacted if he had seen her immediately. What was written in her documents were not pleasing things for an older brother to read about after five long years of having been separated from her. Her papers held the promise of a heart attack.

She’d kept most of her name, crossing out the Reith part of it only because her specified gender said that she was male—MALE! She’d cut her hair! Her long, beautiful locks of black hair that had once fell until the small of her back was gone! All so that she could pull off a Mulan and proclaim herself a male!— and Reith was too feminine a name to include in her crispy white sheets that smelled of printed ink. She was sixteen – which was accurate –, her birthday on the tenth of December – which was correct –, her height was 5’2’’ which was precisely 158 centimeters, had she not been drinking her milk like he had always chided her for her to do? She weighed about ninety-three pounds, had she not been eating properly?

More importantly, why was she here? In this country? In this city? In this school? In his class?
So many questions just made his head hurt!
His students were eying him, so he tried his best to keep his voice in control as he said, “It seems that a new student will be joining us.” His eyes turned to Ciar in hopes of regaining some composure. But this did him no good, “And she—he—it is late.”

Staring at Ciar only resulted in him recalling Ciar’s predicament the week prior. Could it really be possible that both his sister and Ciar’s had come back into their lives, in direly un-ideal situations, by mere coincidence?
Just as Lazarus had been about to clear his throat and proceed with his class, the sliding door slid open. And though Lazarus knew very well that she’d be joining the class, he could not help his surprise…no, his shock!
What was she wearing!?

She was fully in uniform…clad head to toe in the male attire, complete with the autumn jacket and tie! Her hair was held even shorter than it already was around her head by a few black pins that were barely visible, but Laz knew better.
Over her eyes were a round pair of dorky glasses – did she really need them? Last time he’d seen her, she had had perfect, twenty-twenty vision! Of course, that had been around five years ago, but still…Couldn’t she have picked out a better pair of glasses?
Okay, so maybe fashion was not a relevant point for this issue.

She was panting heavily. Everything about her was ruffled from her hair, to her clothes, to her open shoulder bag. She looked very much as if she’d just gotten out of bed, which was very possible. Her hands were clasped against her kneecaps, her head bent low as she panted. Ridley just kept murmuring, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry…” And as she was about to turn up and face him, her things slid from her open bag and spilled to the ground – books, colored pens, cute pencils and cute erasers scattered to the ground. Ridley gasped. The whole class burst into a fit of laughter as the girl quickly bent to the ground to collect these things.

Lazarus glared at his laughing classroom, immediately forcing them all to shut up with his eyes, before he turned to Ridley and approached her frantic, trembling form. Lazarus knelt before her as he helped her collect her things.
As he gave her a hand, she paused to hug her books against her face. She had not looked at him once and remained crouched as she sobbed silently, piteously, and continuously murmured to him, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry…”
Lazarus gently plucked her books from her arms and he placed his hand beneath her trembling chin to tilt her face to meet his eyes.

A sob escaped her throat like a hiccup as she stared up at him in shock. Her glasses fell lopsided across her face as she simply gazed at him, frozen.
“Laza..rus…” She whispered in disbelief. Lazarus just smiled at her gently, warmly, before he leaned forward to kiss her soft cheek.

“Laz…” She whispered once more, her eyes tearing up. Her voice was filled with relief and love. The two siblings just stared at each other with gentle, heart-warmed expressions before a student broke the odd silence, “Umm…Professor?”
Lazarus immediately snapped to attention and he helped Ridley with her things, making sure that her bag was tightly secure this time before he soothingly guided her to the front of the class. As much as he missed her, he’d have time to reunite with her properly after class.
“I apologize for that interruption.” He said as he planted his hands firmly behind his desk. He turned to Ridley, “Now young lad—lad, will you be so kind as to introduce yourself to your class?” He smiled at her encouragingly.

Ridley stared about her with much apprehension. Her glasses seemed to fog up with her blush as she turned her head downward to say, rather whisper, “M-My name is…is Ridley Rothschild.”
A student spoke up, the rather over zealous class representative who was eager to know of Ridley’s odd relationship with their professor, “I can’t hear him and I’m in front.” She said snidely, “I doubt the rest of the class did.”

Lazarus clenched his teeth at her before he turned to Ridley. Regardless of how much he wanted to deny it, this student of his had a point, “Speak louder please, Ridley.” He said, tapping his fingers delicately against the table.
Ridley did as she was told, “M…My name is…is Ridley Rothschild.”
And now Ciar knew. Lazarus cocked a wry smirk towards his friend’s direction, “Your seat is at the very…back, Ridley.”

He grimaced at this. Her height would make it rather difficult for her to get a good look at the board, “Right next to monkey boy over there.” Lazarus indicated Ciar with his index finger.
Ridley nodded, “Y—Yes!” She ducked her head as she made her way towards her seat, pausing when she finally saw that it was Ciar. A relieved smile broke her face, “C…Ciar…” She lifted her bag higher so that it covered her smile. Lazarus cocked a brow at this, so did the rest of the surrounding students.
Ridley knew Ciar? How?

Lazarus coughed and shook away the thought, he’d save that for later, “Ridley, you’re suppose to sit in your seat?” He pointed out mercilessly. Ridley gasped once more, flushing again as she sat and rummaged through her bag to fish out her cellphone. She pressed her fingers upon the keypads rapidly.

Ciar!!! cat_razz

This is Ridley. cat_redface

Lazarus coughed once more. She certainly knew how to cause a scene without trying to. Lazarus was growing annoyed now, but he could not blame her for having been home schooled her whole life, “Ridley, no cellphones in class.”
Some of the students snickered as Ridley snapped her phone shut and squeaked, “Y—Yes!”

Ciar blinked back at the scene in front of him, he was looking at Lazarus rather curiously before grimacing, okay so Lazarus knew her, he had no problem about hiding the rookie’s female status towards him then. A sigh of relief escaped his lips at least he no longer had to lie to Lazarus about this. He felt his phone vibrate and read the message. He let out a chuckle.

I see that. Silly girl. He replied chuckling out loud.

He leaned back into his seat, Chraizhel said she was going to be here last week, and yet she hasn’t appeared yet. He visited her yesterday, well called her. She said papers were still being arranged. A sigh escaped his lips. Before he placed his foot on the table closing his eyes.

Ridley stiffened as she heard her phone vibrate. She looked down at her bag where she had kept her phone rather eagerly, her hands clenched into fists as if she wanted so badly to look into her phone but she couldn't. She pressed her lips together instead, looking around to see if anyone was looking before she turned to stare down at her bag. And she stared. And she stared. And she stared. As Lazarus began to teach, pretty soon she was listening whilst looking rather impatient to check her phone. As the day went by and lunch finally came, Ridley eagerly opened her bag to look down at her phone. A small smile made it's way to her face, her cheeks turned bright pink as she eagerly answered.

Hee... cat_blaugh

As she shut her phone, she looked around and blinked back as she saw Lazarus standing by the door and gesturing for both her and Ciar. He had a small plastic bag in his arms.
