questing with the crafty artemis lieutenant and the optimistic mortal.
- So it had been settled. The people on the trip would include Simeon, Alek, Delia, Delphia, Leo, Penny, Leena, Maggie. Delia wasn't too happy about the last Hunter going. There was something about the girl that didn't sit well with Delia. She also wasn't happy about the fact that there would be mortals accompanying them on this quest. Mortals were dangerous. She hadn't needed to be at Camp for too long to understand that they were a bad thing. But Simeon had discovered that they needed a certain mortals help, and that included going to the girls prom. How the head-strong, arrogant boy knew this girl, Delia didn't know. Simeon hadn't told her that. But now she needed to pack her things, and she needed to talk to someone about getting a dress for this stupid prom.
Delia didn't know where she was supposed to get a prom dress. But all she had to say was that she was definitely not dancing. There had been a reason that Delia had never once gone to any of the dances that had been held at any of her schools. Delia finished up packing her things. Including her mascara that turned into a sword. Shortly after the meeting of the camp councilors, Mr. D had been summoned to Mount Olympus, to talk to their father. It was weird having a father all of a sudden. Delia hadn't gotten used to it yet. But Mr. D, had called her and Phia to the Big House, and given them a hair clip, that turned into a shield, and a mascara that turned into a sword, when she opened it.
Now Delia brought her things from her cabin. She needed to get herself a dress. The only way she Phia, Xyleena, and Penelope would be able to get a dress in such short notice would be if they borrowed something from Electra. Electra had grudgingly agreed to supply them with dresses, from her and the other Aphrodite girls. So now, Delia, Delphia, Penelope, and Xyleena would meet each other in the Aphrodite Cabin to find a dress suitable to their needs. She sighed, as she let her dark hair drape over her shoulder. It didn't take her long to get to the Aphrodite cabin, but Delia didn't want to go in their alone. All the feminine clothes, and makeup, nail polish. The thought made her shudder. Del would wait for at least her sister, or maybe her sister and the hunters. Phia was off with some of the other campers, doing something or other. But Del did wonder how the boys were going to get tuxes for this dance. She didn't think that Simeon, Alek, and Leo all had them just lying around waiting to be used.
Alek sighed. He was all alone in his cabin making sure he had his things. He packed extra outfits, and some shoes, along with some golden drachmas, and actual mortal money. Alek didn't know what he would be needing on this quest. He had never once seen the labyrinth, he had actually thought it had been long gone, since Simeon's first quest. But apparently not. He was still trying to figure out some of the lines of the prophecy. It was a mystery to him. But Simeon had solved one line of it, about the mortals. Something about an friend who they would desperately need that person's help. Alek didn't like the fact they had to include a mortal in their quest. But it must be done right?
Alek grabbed his sword, Riptide, he had inherited it from his brother Percy Jackson. It was a pen, but when you uncapped it, it turned into a sword. Alek put the cap on Riptide, and put it back in his pocket. It was a trusty sword, because if he ever lost it, it would reappear in his pocket. Now that he had everything he was going to meet with Leo and Simeon. They needed to talk about certain things, about the quest. One was very pressing on his mind. The dance. He didn't have a suit laying around just waiting to be used. Simeon said he had a plan for that as well.
Penny sat in the Artemis cabin and was waiting for Leena to stop pacing around and being all huffy. Leena still hadn't cooled off after the whole "Oaths will be broken" statement in the prophecy. Penny still couldn't understand who it would be that would break their oath. She and Leena were the strongest and oldest of the hunters. They had seen the terrible things love could do to someone. Penny just shook her head. She was packing her arrows in her quiver and her bow. Plus some other things she would need. Leo still hadn't learned his lesson from the last time they had met each other. He was still trying to make advances towards her, and she was still rejecting him. So Penny had nothing to worry about with her, breaking her oath now did she. And Leena had none of the campers making advances on her. The prophecy must be wrong. But prophecies were never wrong, nor could you stop them from occurring.
"Are thou ready to get thy dress?" She asked. Penny knew this would cause another tirade, and stir even more anger up in her friend. But they had to get this mortal and the only way to do it was to go to this prom, dressed like they were supposed to be there. Penny grabbed her bad, and flipped her hair, standing to her full height. If she needed to, Penny would give Leena a direct order to go to the Aphrodite cabin to borrow a dress. But Penny hoped that wouldn't be necessary. She made her way over to the other girls, and told them to stay her and to the Aphrodite Cabin to meet Delia, and Delphia. Penny had to admit she was very interested in the eldest twin. She was strong and had great potential, plus she seemed to be put off towards love as well. Penny had noticed Simeon's attraction
Shelly woke up to his younger sister jumping on him. This wasn't the greatest thing in the world to wake up to. But he had to admit that he did like having a younger sister. Shelly loved kids, and wanted them when he got older and was much more financially stable. His mom always talked about how he and Adrienne should get married. His mother didn't seem to notice the fact that Adrienne was head-over-heels for Simeon. But whatever. He grabbed Cecilia and lugged her off of him. Then he continued on going to his shower. While the water warmed up, Shelly stripped down to his birthday suit. He had never been extremely muscular, nor was he someone who was totally geeky.
The shower really woke him up. He loved water. He liked swimming but wasn't strong enough for the swim team. Shelly never really fit in anywhere. But somehow Adrienne had seen something inside of him, he didn't really know was there. It didn't take him long to get dressed up and everything. He was excited tonight was the dance. Where he would dance the night away. Pretty soon, Adrienne and her limo driver were there waiting for him to come outside. Shelly made his way down to the limo and saw Adrienne's bubbly face, and beautiful blonde hair. He had to admit she always was pretty, but she was more like his sister than she was anything else. It didn't take them long to get to school. And now it would be another day of taunts and teases from all the jocks.
