                              camp-half blood?

it's friday night, about eighty-two degrees outside. everyone is suiting up for a
                                      game of capture the flag.

dephia & delia are fighting for their lives. before, they had been accompanied
by a satyr, whom was killed along the way by three ravenous harpies. now, being followed by the harpies, the girls fight for their lives just to make it past that hill.

delphia montgomery vs simeon gage
the shocking & intelligent twin daughter of zeus
teamed up with the wise & snotty son of athena

Every year was different. Something always happened, whether or not she liked it. In kindergarten, she and Delia had been followed to school by a giant dog, about the size of an elephant. The teachers and principals had to chase off the "wolf" as they called it, and soon they got kicked out of school along with their next three schools. In the fourth grade, the two had been confronted by a group of older ladies, whom tried to kidnap the girls. When they didn't comply, the three turned into bird things with long claws and long, pointed beaks. Everyone was convinced they were just a bunch of elderly ladies selling candy. In the twelfth grade -- just recently -- the two had befriended one of the chess kids, who walked with a cane. The boy had been weird and nervous, but he was nice and protective. Like most private schools, you had the popular, the nerdy and the just plain weird groups. It was something abnormal when one of the cheerleaders tried to befriend one of the "weird" ones, which included Sander -- the chess kid -- Delphia and Delia. Delia had always been more athletic, and well, popular. It was a rare sight when the two top cheerleaders had tried to befriend a bunch of nerds. What was even more surprising was they took sudden twist and their adorable features turned into magnificent beauty, and charged at the three with their fangs and iron sharp talons. From what Phia understood, the girls were called Empousa, and there was a name for all of the other "monsters" out there.

Now, it was survival of the fittest. Not only had Sander given up his life to save the two girls. He had gone on some rant about the two being "special", while eating paper and anything else he could get his gums on. It was confusing, what he had explain; about what was going on and why there had been mythological creatures. Delphia had always known something was different about she and her sister, but surely she did not believe in Mythological gods. When Sander had first told her that her and her sister's father lived on Mount Olympus, her first response was: "Like Zeus, Poseidon, Hades and all of that stuff? But that's just myths." After being shushed, it felt as if a whirlwind had blown out of nowhere. Before, there hadn't been a cloud in the sunny sky, but the day had darkened with horrid lightning storms and crazy wind. To Delphia, she felt as if she had regained her energy back when it began to storm. When the rain hit, all of her energy drained and left her dragging her feet alongside her sister and Sander. Sander continued to explain things: like why they were chased down by monsters, what and who those monsters were, and everything. He went and on and on about who our parents could be, leaving us with different options. The "Big Three" as Sander had called it, where not suppose to have children, but in the past ten years, Poseiden and Zeus had broken the oath. Upon naming the names, the rain poured harder and lightning stroke. He began naming names, like the different gods. He said that Ares and Hephaestus were out of the option; he couldn't decide if it was Apollo or not, let alone Hermes or one of the Big Three. The was the last thing they needed.

Over all, the whole concept was hard to understand and hard to believe. Even though it would be nice to believe, it was almost impossible to. Even as Delphia and Delia had watched Sander decide he would leave the two within a mile of the "Camp" -- which only looked like a glowing light and a strawberry field -- that didn't mean the fight wasn't over. Now, Delphia stood before two large Hellhounds. The things looked like giant, glossy doberman's which acid salavia, and pointy, yellow canines. Even though Phia hated to admit it, she was afraid of the two beasts. They're thin, silky fur glistened from the rain, and their eyes as red as the blood that coursed in their veins. She had known something was following the girls, but this wasn't something that she had expected. "De... Delia? Do you see that?" The words were barely audible, but Delia could hear almost anything she had said. She only guessed it was some type of twin connection. Looking toward the pine tree, she never looked more convinced to run in her life. She doubted she could outrun two four legged, giant dogs, but maybe it was worth a shot? The more she began to think about it, the less apealing it sounded. For once in her life, she didn't know what to do. The girls were torn up, gashes and cuts. Torn clothes and messy hair. She had never longed for a shower as much as she had right now. "What do we do?" There had been two options, and one was ruled out. They couldn't run, let alone fight. If the camp really was real, would the "campers" hear what was going on?

Yes. Capture the flag. It was time to show Ares who was boss. He had had enough of their taunts and teases, it was time to shove their ugly and gruesome faces into the wet dirt of Camp Half-Blood. Simeon smiled at this thought as he held the Blue flag with the owl painted on it. Athena led this game, they were going to win. He had been looking for to this all week. He wanted to rub it into Bobby's face that he was the man. He would show those bragging Ares' kids who was boss. Turning torward his team, the wheels in his brain began to turn. Where would Bobby put his team? The kids weren't smart as all, they just wanted the glory. Typical Ares. He almost felt sorry for the Hephaestus and Dionysus kids, but he would get over that. Ares would want the glory -- they would go for the flag. Bobby would probably send Antoinette to guard the flag and Hector in the forest. The two Hephaestus kids knew how to use tools. The Dionysus kids weren't much help, they just grew vines and s**t. Simeon wasn't worried about them. The Ares would go for the flag, he had to have his best guarding it. Alek was the first person to come to mind; the two had never been too close, but his dad was Poseidon. The third Big Three kid to walk these parts. Athena and Poseidon had never got along, so why would they? He would have the Apollo kids guarding the forest and maybe the flag. Their arrows looked like they could cut a whole through a skull. The Aphrodite kids didn't do much, they weren't a worry. The Demeter kids wouldn't do much either, except for grow flowers and everything. His cabin would go for their flag, but that left Alek. He was Poseidon's kid, right? He knew the perfect spot for him.

Letting a grin cross his features, the Athena Leader smiled at his team mates and began to explain his plan. "Apollo cabin, take your bows and arrows and guard the forest. Shoot any Ares or Hermes kid clean off their butts." Looking at the two counselors of the cabin, he decided the two would guard the flag. "Zachary and Xander, you two guard the flag. Don't let the Uglies take it. Got it?" He spoke in a hush tone, then adverted his eyes towards the Demeter kids. "You three hang in the trees, wrap flowers or whatever you do around the Ares kids just to piss them off. Aphrodite cabin, try not to get hurt. If you must, hang around Zach and Xander, but stay hidden." After receiving nods and glares from the Aphrodite kids, Alek shifted his grey eyes toward Alek. "And you," he pointed a finger, "you guard the creek. Do not let anyone get passed you. You're good with water, right?" Simeon asked Alek, without waiting for an answer, he turned toward his cabin. "And we, we will retrieve the flag." Letting out cheers and screams, the blue team ran into the forest at full speed, flag in hand.

After placing the flag in Zeus' head, Simeon tried to sneak his way toward the Creek, where Alek was standing. He was careful not to drag his shield, even though the armor was extremely heavy, even for him. Once he stalked up to Alek, he placed a hand on his shoulder to turn him around. He had hoped he would have scared him, just to see his response. "I lied," Simeon told Alek quietly. He shifted his gaze side to side, looking for any eavesdroppers. "I want you to get the flag. Ares would be expecting me or one of my cabin mates to retrieve it." Simeon chuckled. "The last thing we need is their brains working." After patting him on the back, Simeon turned around and began to stalk off, being careful about what he stepped on. "Got it?" Simeon had hoped he had made the right choice, but chances where he had. He never did anything wrong... Right?

Delia sighed. She was tired, and sore. Every muscle in her body ached like never before. She and Delphia had never run this fast this long. But her heart hurt too. Del felt guilty for Sander. He hadn't deserved to die, and he had died trying to protect them. But that was her job -- right? Delia had always been the stronger of the two girls. Both physically and emotionally. Delia always held her emotions -- except anger-- in, especially around her sister. It didn't matter that Phia was only two minutes younger. Delia had always had the instinct to protect her younger sister. And with their mother gone, and their father gone before that, the two were all they had of each other. Delia had always known that she and her sister were different, but she hadn't expected they were this different. Del thought back on all the times thet had gotten kicked out of schools because of how different and odd they were. Kindergarten and countless other times. But it had always seemed to her they both had been able to see things that normal people couldn't.

Then their mother died, and they were sent to a private school with their mother's money. This was where they had found Sander. Delia fit in pretty well, with the jocks much better than the preps. And Delphia fit in, because Delia fit in. But what was weird were the two cheerleaders befriending both her and Delphia as well as Sander. That made Delia wonder what was going on. It was then that they attacked, and Sander had gotten them out of that mess. But shortly after they got away from the emprisa -- or what was it he had called them? Empousa, they were tracked down by the Harpies. And the weather was acting funky too. She felt her strongest when lightening struck, but when it was raining, she felt drained of energy. And now it seemed they were this close to getting to Camp Half-Blood, where they would be protected from monsters, and they faced two huge dogs.

Del heard the fear in Phia's voice as she asked her if she saw those things, and what should they do. What was it that Sander had said -- their smell? "Well can't they smell us?" She asked Delphia. Delphia was the smarter of the two girls. So if anyone would remember what Sander had said, it would be Delphia. She had a crazy idea. Many of Delia's ideas were crazy. But this one might work. If they could distract thte dogs for long enough to get to the tree and the preimeters of the Camp then they would be safe. Wasn't that what Sander had said. If they got to the border line of the camp they would be safe. "This might sound crazy, but what if we took off our sweatshirts. It's the scent of us that they are following. If we throw the clothes far enough, it would distract them long enough for us to get to the tree." She said. Delia took a deep breath and closed her dark eyes. She silently prayed to the gods who were in Mount Olympus, to help them get to safety. "Sander said that if we get to the tree we will be safe. It might sound crazy but it might work." She said.

Alek paced back and forth in his armor. He was ready for battle, and he knew that the Ares kids would bring it. His dark hair fell in his face, and he brushed it out of his face. He was confident that he and Simeon, as well as the Demeter, Aphrodite, and Athena, and Apollo kids would kick the Ares kids asses. Alek watched as Simeon began giving orders. Simeon was taking point in this game. Which made sense Athena was the Goddess of Wisdom, and Alek had heard she was a real strategist. But he had never met the goddess, or not that he knew.

Then Alek came to him and told him he was supposed to stick with creek, and to keep any Ares kids from crossing the creek. Alek laughed when Simeon said that he was good with water right? "You're damn right I'm good with water!" He joked. Alek made his way to the creek, he wasn't there long until Simeon came up from behind him. Simeon then gave him a direct order to go and grab the flag. Alek looked extremely eager. He wanted to probe to Simeon that he wasn't just a son of Poseidon. That he was worthy of capturing the flag and being a hero.

Alek nodded his head in agreement. "I won't let you down Simeon. I promise." Alek made his way through the forest leaving the creek behind him. He was restless when he wasn't by water. But Alek dodged trees and bushes and began moving towards where he tought their flag would be. It should be here in the clearing. But a sound stopped him right in his tracks. He heard growling. And it wasn't coming from one of the Ares kids. They were no where to be found. It was the sound of a monster. More like two monsters.

Alek double backed and made his way to where Simeon had been previously. Alek didn't want to go towards the monsters by himself. He only had a sword, and that wasn't going to do him very much. As much as he didn't want to admit it, he needed Simeon's brain power. Simeon wasn't right there, but he soon found him. "Simeon there's monsters here, just outside of the borderline. It sounds like two of them. Come on. Someone might be in trouble and need our help." Alek said, tugging on Simeon to follow him.

This was something she couldn't handle. She was known to think on the spot, but that was in Science Fairs or something else. This was two giant dogs, staring at the two with beedy, bloody eyes. She was tired, she didn't want to run. She wanted to take a long and hot bath then sleep her heart out, but chances of that were slim. She had had her doubts along the way, but now as they were only within yards of the tree, she felt as if their chances of surviving were now split in half. Their chances weren't very high to begin with. She felt the need to scream at the top of her lungs, but she knew that wouldn't be the smartest thing to do. Chances were, the Hellhounds would attack in advanced, thinking they were under attack. When she was in high school, she used to study Mythology. It was required, but she loved it. She only reconized the different monsters from the illustrations in the books she used to read. Never once in her life would she ever dream she would come into contact with a Hellhound, or Harpies, let alone Furies or Empousa. It was difficult to take it. Delphia was drenched from head-to-toe in water with her hair sticking to her face and clinging to her neck. She felt almost powerless; except when lightning stroke. That only lasted for so long, then the feeling died.

Balling her hands into fist, she knew it wouldn't do any good to fight. She missed Sander; he would know what to do. Delia's question had startled her, she didn't know what to say. Without taking her gaze off of the giant dogs, she answered her sister. "Sander said our scent was over powering, chances are, they sniffed us out. Chances are..." The things growled at the two, hunger filling their eyes. "Good idea," Delphia took off her heavy and ripped sweatshirt as fast as she could, revealing a dirty, white tank-top. It was white, now it was the color of dirt and grime. She waited until Delia had taken off hers, preparing herself to throw her sweatshirt as far as possible. It was damp and heavy, and with her muscles, she could probably through it a yard or two. She hoped it would be enough, but chances were it wasn't. With these creatures standing about six yards from the girls, they would pounce on the sweatshirts before realizing that they weren't in them. It would probably take them a few seconds, they had that advantage, but they were on four legs, and the girls were only on two. "We'll only have a few seconds in advance if we throw it long enough, or until they realize we aren't inside of the sweatshirts. Should we-" She was cut off by the growling of the Hellhounds. Maybe it wasn't such a bad idea...

She was cold. The hair on the back of her neck stood at a point. Rain filled her eyes to the point she could hardly see. It was now or never. If they didn't throw their sweaters now, they wouldn't escape. They had a small chance anyways. "Ready?" She asked her sister. "Throw!" Phia threw her sweater as far as she possibly could. Her intel had been right, she only managed to throw it about two yards. Del's went farter than hers, of course. The things pounced, and as soon as their front paws left the surface, Delphia turned on her heels and took off running towards the pine tree. Delia was already ahead of her, which was no surprised. It felt as if she was moving in slow motion. She was afraid to look over her shoulder at the hounds, but she could hear their paws scraping the surface. That's when everything sped up. Standing near the pine tree two boys materialized. One had greyish blue eyes with dark hair. The other one had gorgeous green eyes with solid black hair. The boys had come out of nowhere, but they were dressed in full body armor. It was like they were ready to fight the beasts. Judging from their reactions, they hadn't been expecting this. She didn't have time to speak, but she could feel the ground shaking under her from the hounds. They were close, very close.

Simeon had complete faith in Alek. He had a good intel on the boy, and chances where they were going to win this game. They always did. Even if he had always retrieved the flag, he figured that a little change wouldn't hurt. Now he was guarding the river, waiting. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see dark brown hair popping out of the leaves. Smirking to himself, he slowly crept towards the bushes with his sword at his hip. As if he had sprung a trap, a long, metallic wire wrapped around his right ankle and turned him upside down. Cursing to himself, Simeon looked up at the wire then back down towards the ground. He was well off of the ground. About a yard, maybe less. Looking back at the bush, the famous Hephaestus' daughter smiled at Athena's son with an evil smirk. "Damn it, Antoinette! What the hell is this?" Simeon shouted at the fifteen year old. She giggled before sneaking off. He hated having the Hephaestus kids on the opposite team. It was like working against technology. Cursing to himself once more, he struggled to pick his sword off of the ground. Once Simeon retrieved his sword, he prayed to the gods that the wire would snap. When he sliced the wire, to his luck, his back hit the ground first. Now, the back of his armor and pants were covered in mud from the creak.

Cursing Antoinette, Simeon regained his position at the creak, waiting for Alek to get the flag. Pretty soon, he did spot Alek, but without the flag. "Where's the flag?" Simeon demanded before Alek began to explain. Monsters? In the opening? Really? That was almost hard to believe. Monsters never came near Camp Half-Blood unless... unless they were following something. When it was his journey to Camp Half-Blood, he was being followed by one of the three Furies. He had tried to fend it off with his own hands, but at the age of twelve, it wasn't that easy. Never in his six years had he ever seen a monster in the opening, let alone a real monster. He was a year-rounder. He couldn't take the risk to go to a public school or college. Even if he wanted to, chances were Chiron would have a satyr assigned to him. He didn't want that. "There are monsters at the borderline? There never are. Why would they be there?" Simeon began to follow Alek, even though he was reluctant to do it. He didn't want to leave his game of capture the flag. "Are you serious? Or are you in cahoots with Ares?" Simeon looked around for his team, until he spotted Demetri. "Demetri, you're in charge. Go get the dipshit's flag. Got it?" Demetri nodded, sprinting off with a smile on his face. Passing by Chiron, the centaur gave the two boys an odd look. "Boys? And you are going where?" Chiron asked. It wasn't normal to see two boys leaving a game of Capture the Flag. "If we aren't back in thirty minutes, send some campers." Simeon said, patting Chiron's fur.

Nearing the tree, Simeon had a bad feeling. They were mixed emotions: he felt something powerful and something evil. He stiffened, knowing something defiantly was wrong. He could hear the roars and growls now, on top of the thunderstorm. As soon as he crossed that borderline, he was immediately drenched from head-to-toe in rain water. Alek was probably loving it. Two black, glossy Hellhounds were running towards the boys. It was then that he noticed that the Hellhounds weren't running towards them, they were chasing two girls. Twins. They looked almost exactly alike, except for some differences, and they were running from the Hellhounds because the Hellhounds were chasing them. "Oh my gods," Simeon said slowly, eyes gaping at the Hellhounds. He had never seen one, but he knew they were out there. They were catching up to the girls, closer and closer. Holding up his sword, he started to run towards one of the Hellhounds -- the one behind the more athletic looking one. He let out a grunt as he grabbed a fist full of hair from the hound, and swung himself on top of the beast. The thing tried to shake him off while he chased after the girl, who was running as fast as she possibly could. Lifting the sword high above his head, he shoved the point into the back of it's neck. Simeon stabbed it one more time, until the dog began to slow and collapsed. He quickly got off of the dog before it disappeared. Simeon slowly began to walk towards the female, being careful. He could tell she was powerful, just her aura. He felt uneasy around her, like something else was going to happen. "Are you alright?" Simeon asked, touching the girl on the arm. When he touched her, it felt like watts of electricity was coursing through his veins. "s**t!" Simeon yelled, quickly removing his hand from her arm. What the hell was that?

Delia listened as her sister said that their scent was overpowering and the two dogs had probably sniffed them out. Which was just super fab. Delia was strong, but she knew she wasn't strong enough to take on two huge a** dogs with her sister. But the stubborn female knew they had to do something. Delphia then told her this was the only shot that they had. Del cringed as the dogs growled at them. Their breath was horrible. Delia was lost in her own thoughts about food. That was what she wanted more than anything in the world. That and to be safe. Then Del tuned back in as Phia said that they would have a limited amount of time before the Hellhounds discovered they weren't in their sweatshirts anymore. Delia heaved a big, exhausted sigh. They had to attempt something. They couldn't just sit and do nothing and get eaten. Delia was stubborn and pig-headed, she would just stand idly by in defeat. She was a natural born fighter. Then Delia hurriedly took off her sweatshirt, which was muddy, wet, and heavy. Revealing a dark blue tank top, and her mud soaked jeans. Her sister did the same, and they threw the sweatshirts. It wasn't a surprise that hers went farther than Phia's or that she ran faster than her sister.

But what was a surprise, were the two boys, dressed in full armor standing at the top of the hill. Delia didn't have any time to speak out to them to run, because she was so frightened. Never in her life had she ever been frightened of anything -- that is-- until now. She looked up and saw that the boy with dark hair and gray eyes was running towards them. Delia ducked as he ran past her, and jumped on the Hellhound. 'What is this boy crazy?! Or does he just have a death wish?' Delia thought to herself. The other boy on the hill took action, and ran as fast as he could, seeming to have super powers. He stabbed the other hellhound in the foot, and then climbed on his back. As this boy was doing so, the gray-eyed boy turned towards her. He asked her if she was alright, and as he did so, he touched her arm. Normally Delia would have shaken him off, but before she had the chance to, it was like electricity coursed through her body, and shocked him. He brought his hand back as fast as he could and said s**t really loud. She didn't know what to say to him or how to answer his question.

At that moment, it seemed like she had no more energy to fight. Or even stand, let alone answer a question. Delia's eyes began to flutter, and she fought to keep her ground. This boy had done enough for her, killing the beast that was attacking her. She wobbled a little, and then her eyes closed, and she fell. Delia didn't know if he caught her, or if she landed on the ground. The darkness closed in on her, and things began flashing before her eyes. She began muttering about their mother Lillian, and Sander. Delia felt two arms wrap around her body and she felt herself being carried off somewhere. She hoped it was somewhere warm.

Alek felt Simeon running next to him, his heart pounding, and the adrenaline rushing through his body. He was finally going to be able to kill a monster. Alek had arrived at Camp Half-Blood shortly before his fourteenth birthday. He was lucky and wasn't being chased by anything. His mother was dropping him off. She had gotten angry and fed up with him. She understood that he had ADHD and dyslexia and he constantly found himself in trouble. She hadn't wanted to send him to Camp Half-Blood, but she felt it was the only way he would be safe away from monsters. Alek came back to reality as he and Simeon reached the top of the hill. There he saw two girls, with dark hair, and dark eyes. They were being chased by two ravenous, growling Hellhounds.

He watched as Simeon sprang into action and slayed the first Hellhound. Then it was up to Alek. He was being drenched by the rain, because they were just outside of the boundaries. He felt the water and immediately began feeling stronger. Alek realized it was up to him to save the other girl. He grabbed his sword a little bit tighter, and rushed forward. He pushed the girl gently out of the way to save her, and then stabbed the creature in the foot. Then he climbed on to the beasts back, and did the exact same thing that he had seen Simeon do. Once that was done, he leaped off the beast as it turned to dust, and turned towards the girl.

She had dark hair, with eyes to match and tanned skin. Her face was heart-shaped and she was pretty. Alek smiled, but he was afraid to touch her. He had noticed what had happened to Simeon when he touched the rougher, edgier girl. He didn't want to risk whatever happened to Simeon, to happen to him. His green eyes, looked directly into the shorter girls' eyes, and he smiled again. "Are you alright?" He asked. Then Alek noticed how the other girl collapsed, and Simeon caught her. He sighed. Turning back to this girl he nodded at her reassuringly. Knowing his luck, the girl would scream, and not want anything to do with him, or Simeon. "Looks like we ought to get you two to the Big House, Chiron will want to talk to you, and your sister will be able to be taken care of there." Alek thought it was safe enough to touch the girl, and so he grabbed her hand. "Here this way. Oh I'm Alek by the way." He said, making sure she knew his name so that they weren't complete strangers. He wondered what her name would be. Alek was sure it was bound to be beautiful, just like she was. He looked at the paler, blacked-out twin and sighed, as Simeon carried her towards the big house.

It was amazing what she had seen. She almost forgot to run as she watched the boy with grey eyes cling to the fur of the Hellhound that was chasing her sister, and stab him multiple times until the thing disintegrated. It had just disappeared. Before she had time to react, the more attractive one was running straight towards her. He wasn't running towards her but towards the beast running behind her. It looked like he was enjoying the rain, that it gave him power. Unlike she, Delphia wanted to be out of the rain. It slowed her down, the water drained her of her energy and she felt sluggish. When he gently pushed her out of the way, it first aggravated her and made her want to punch him for throwing her off course. She felt that it was his fault she was about to get stepped on by a giant dog. When he mimicked the other boy's moves, she realized that he pushed her out of the way so that she didn't get hurt. Once the monster had disappeared, Phia gaped at the mysterious boy. She hadn't been able to his features before, but he was indeed very handsome. He had solid black hair and adventurous green eyes. She wanted to put her hand on his cheek and ask him if he was alright. Too bad he wasn't the one who had been chased down by a giant Hellhound.

The handsome boy had given her a reassuring smile, then asked Delphia if she was alright. She gaped at the boy at first, then slowly nodded her head. She wasn't sure she could find her voice box at the moment. Maybe it was true, maybe all of it was true. Maybe it was true that she was a Half-Blood, or a Demigod. Maybe the gods and goddesses are actually out there, and maybe she was being hunted down by mythological monsters. It was difficult to take in, and she really didn't want to, even though she knew it was true. This boy and his friend were obviously Demigods. The two had an owl on their armor. Was their a reason behind that? When the boy spoke to her, she felt comfortable, like she was safe. She wasn't at the moment, but she knew she was almost there. Phia didn't realize she was breathing threw her mouth until she opened it to say something about "The Big House" and "Chiron". Wasn't that the centaur who had trained Hercules and famous Heroes? She didn't want to talk to anyone right now, or anything else. She wanted to lie down and sleep for days. Like that was going to happen. When the handsome boy took her hand, she wanted to slip her hand out of his but she couldn't find the strength to do so. Instead, she let him guide her to the pine tree. "Oh, um... Nice to meet you, Alek." Delphia said slowly. She meant to return the favor, but she didn't have the strength to. She made a mental note to do so later. Delphia looked behind her shoulder one more time to look at Delia, and when she did she regretted it. Her sister lay in the other boys arms, he was cradling her like a baby. She wouldn't like that. Delphia was about to ask Alek if her sister was going to be okay when they crossed the pine tree.

Everything changed. She wasn't getting poured on, in fact, there wasn't a cloud in the sky. When Delphia moved her hair out of her eyes, she looked up at the sky and was shocked to see stars glistening. She felt the need to smile at the stars she hadn't seen since she went camping with her sister and her mother until they were chased off by a bunch of monsters. "Well now, what do we have here?" Phia gaped at the creature she was staring at. From the waist down was a horses body, and were the head should have been the upper torso of a man was. When Alek responded to the horse-man, he nodded. "Yes, bring her and her sister to the Big House. I'll stop the game." The horse-man said, galloping off. Just behind Delphia and Alek came the boy and Delia. She was out cold. Phia looked straight ahead to see a Big House with four floors. Sitting on the deck of the Big House was a man with curly, black hair and wore a Hawaiian shirt. He looked familiar, but she didn't think much of it as Alek led her towards the Big House.

Simeon had made the mistake by touching her, but right after he did, she just blacked out. Her eyes fluttered before her knees collapsed underneath her and she began hurtling towards the ground. "Whoa," Simeon said under his breath as he reached out and trapped her in his arms. He had caught her by the waist, and judging from the muscles lining her arms, he could tell she would have fought him if she was conscious. He now had a chance to look at her face. She had different features than her sister; her face looked more... mature. She had lips that all of the latest celebrities would envy and gorgeous hair. Simeon smiled at her lightly before picking her up. He cradled her in his arms. She was pretty heavy, only because she was covered in muscles. He wasn't even sure he had ones like that. Her wet blue jeans and shoes only made her more heavy. He grunted as he propped her closer against him, making sure he didn't drop her. Simeon followed behind Alek and the girls twin sister. He wanted to get out of the rain and hurry on inside of the camp. He hated the rain, it only weighed him down. On the bright side, he got to kill his first Hellhound and saved a gorgeous girl in the process. Major points.

After crossing the borderline, Simeon felt a hundred times lighter. He didn't have the rain weighing him down, and everything was a lot more peaceful. He didn't care about the game anymore, and thanked the gods for Alek making him go with him. He would have to thank him later. Chiron looked at the two girls, then at the two boys, a proud look on his face. "Mr. D won't mind?" Simeon could imagine Dionysus' face when he saw that two dripping wet girls were after to be inside of his house. He couldn't help but smile at was about to happen. After the long, but short walk to the Big House, Mr. D gave the boys a funny look then looked at the girls. "No way in Tartarus are those girls going in there," Mr. D told the boys. "Chiron's orders," Simeon responded, opening the doors to the big house. "Damn horse. Doesn't respect anything." Mr. D mumbled to himself before going back to his Pinochle game with three invisible men. The coolness of the house hit his face first, which sent a chill through his spine. He was wet and it was cold, never a good combination. Simeon set the girl on the leather couch and covered her up with the nearest blanket. He thought it would have been a good idea to get one of the female campers to get the girls new clothes, but that might be a little creepy. "Now, we wait." Simeon said as he propped down on the nearest rocking chair.

Delia was slightly aware of what was going on. She heard the other boy begin talking to her sister, and kind of tuned him out. Delia saw images flash through her mind, of past memories of things. All dealing with her sister and her mother. Delia missed her mother. She focused her mind on the cold armor that held her protectively. Delia wondered if it was that boy, than she heard a man's voice, sounding fatherly, with some pride mixed in. "Mother." She muttered, as the memory of her mother's gruesome death replayed in her mind. The woman with a snaked feet, and an ever-changing torso, and a woman's head, although she did have snakes in her hair. Her mother was trapped in this creature's arms, and her mother had told her to go. Then she heard another man's voice saying something about a horse. Delia didn't know what was going on at all around her. It was so hard to grasp the whole demi-god thing. Then she was set on a couch, and warm, strong hands, wrapped a blanket around her. His voice sounded strong, but comforting. He said they would wait now.

Wait for what? Delia began to feel her body warm up, but she felt a little exposed, only having a tank top on the top half of her body. She stirred, and pulled the blankets closer to her chest. Delia didn't know this boy, and she didn't know if he was a perv or not. Though she hoped he wasn't. He was pretty hot for a perv -- if he was one. She opened her dark eyes, and saw her sister, sitting next to the black haired, green eyed boy, and a horse-man thing, and the gray eyed boy who had saved her. "What were those things. And what happened to me?" Maybe Delia should have been asking why she had shocked this boy so bad. She had never in her life given anyone a shock as bad as this. But Delphia had never been bothered by her shocks, in fact, whenever one of them shocked each other, it seemed like a transference of power, more so than a shock. But their mother had always said that they were very electric.

Delia sighed, her heart was heavy but she was more concerned for Phia, than she was for herself. Delia tried to get up, but found she was still a little weak and disoriented to do so. "Hold on young one. Take it easy, we don't want you passing out again." He said, in a very nice, reassuring way. "Phia, are you ok?" She asked her sister. Delia looked at her sister, who seemed to be very concerned and worried. She shook her head, trying to tell her sister that she didn't need to be worried about her, she was fine. Then Delia looked at the gray eyed boy. There was concern in his eyes, but there was also a smug arrogance about him. Immediately Delia stiffened on the spot. If there was something she didn't like in a person, it was arrogance. "You shouldn't act so smug, you could have gotten killed, we all could have gotten killed." She said, directly addressing this boy. Delia knew she probably should e thanking him, he did save her and Delphia's lives. But there was something about him, that set her ablaze. And Delia had a hard time with her anger issues. Delphia was the more calmer of the two.

Alek led the other girl, as Simeon took care of the tougher looking twin. He could tell that this girl he was leading was worried. Alek gave her another reassuring smile. "Don't worry about your sister, she'll be fine. We'll get her some nectar and ambrosia as soon as she wakes up and she'll be as good as new." He said. Chiron passed by, and smiled proudly at them, then told them to go to the Big House. He chuckled as Simeon said something about Mr. D. Alek felt slightly more at ease now that he had rescued this girl. He decided he would show her the ropes -- so to speak-- here at camp, if she'd let him.

It didn't take them long to get to the Big House, Mr. D wasn't too pleased with their arrival, but allowed them in anyway, seeing how Chiron had ordered them to take them here. Alek shuddered at the crumpled form of the girl Simeon was carrying. Simeon set her on the couch, and covered her with a blanket. "You must be Delphia, and this here is Delia, am I right? Sander sent Iris messages telling me about you." Chiron said. So her name was Delphia. Alek thought that was a very pretty name. "Well Delphia, welcome to Camp Half-Blood. Would you like some better clothes?" He asked trying to make her feel better.

Then the other girl, Delia, began to stir. She had been muttering things all the way back to the Big House. Alek didn't understand most of them, but he was sure he might get to understand that better when he talked to Delphia. Then the girl spoke and asked what the things were, and what had happened to her. Alek raised his eyebrow and slightly chuckled as the girl continued on, and rounded on Simeon. He decided as did the others in the room, that they would leave this confrontation between Simeon and Delia. Alek didn't want the girl turning her anger on him. He shuddered at that thought. "Does she always do this?" Alek asked, Delphia quietly under his breath, so the other girl wouldn't be able to hear him.

Hearing the word "mother" come from Delia's mouth sent shivers down Delphia's spine. They had both sworn never to talk about her ever again, just because it was too heartbreaking. Delphia had dreams about her mother, where she would come to her and speak to her or comfort her. It was like she was almost there, but when she woke up without her mother, it was heartbreaking. Her mother had died tragically, and it was touchy subject. She always felt as if it was her fault, her fault for getting her mother caught into their monster mess. Phia looked down at her muddy hands, constantly wiping them on her wet pants. Alek confirmed that Delia was going to be okay, which made her feel better. She couldn't afford to loose someone else. When he mentioned ambrosia and nectar, she hoped it wasn't some type of drug. "I'm not going to ask," Phia told herself, knowing she would find out later. Now, she sat next to Alek on a sofa. Delphia watched carefully for any sign of life from her sister; she felt a wave of relief when her sister stirred in covers, trying to get comfortable. The centaur rolled in, literally rolled in. Instead of being a centaur, he was in a wheelchair with a blanket over his legs. Or hooves. Or where his legs should have been.

The horse/crippled man began to talk to her, confirming his information. "Yeah, that's right." At the mention of Sander, she looked down at her hands before looking back up at the horse thing. "I'm sorry about... your friend." She couldn't find the proper words to use, but she was happy with what she used. Alek complimented on her name, which forced her to smile. She felt her cheeks heat up, but quickly looked towards her sister. "You don't have to go through the trouble, my clothes will dry." Phia looked back at Alek. Delphia longed to answer her sister's questions, but she didn't know exactly where they were. In a house, she knew that much. She figured either the grey-eyed boy or the horse/crippled man would know. She wasn't surprised when her sister asked if she was okay, instead of worrying about herself. The horse/crippled man rushed her to stay down, for their own benefit. "I'm fine, Del. Don't worry," Delphia tried to reassure her sister, but it was harder than she thought. Her sister had a switch in her brain that was always turned on: "protect and worry about Delphia". Delia was the stronger one of the two, she was always worrying about her and did things out of her way to protect her. Delphia smiled at her sister, trying to tell her that she was okay. What didn't surprise her was when her sister shot a nasty remark towards the grey-eyed boy who had an enormous ego. Her sister had always had problems with anger. Phia coughed, trying to hold back a smile that was forcing itself to her lips.

Judging from the boys face, he hadn't been expecting such an answer. His eyes were wide and his mouth an inch open. A second or two passed before the boy turned to Chiron to say something. She didn't pay much attention because Alek whispered something to her. He smelled of... ocean water. It was like he sprayed himself with salty cologne, but it smelled good. Like, the way roses appealed to her nose and the way steak made her mouth water. It was an odd combination, but it seemed to mix together. "You have no idea," Delphia whispered back, a smile on her face. Whenever someone as much as picked on her, Delia was there. Whenever someone tried to harm Delphia, Delia was there to fight her battles. Phia smiled at her sister, who was regaining her strength.

Simeon smiled when he watched the girl turned from side to side. She looked like she was uncomfortable, but he was happy to know that she was okay. "Delia," Simeon repeated. From what he could tell, Delphia wasn't as strong or as fast as Delia was, but Delphia seemed to have more... intelligence. "You are in The Big House at Camp Half-Blood. Your safe. No monster could penetrate our borders," Simeon said, matter of factly. He looked between her sister and Delia, trying to make the similarities come together. Above all, they looked a lot alike unless you looked at them as two separate beings. If you had Delia in one room, then Delphia in another, you could then make out the differences between the two. "You blacked out," Simeon answered her next question before she asked Delphia if she was alright. He figured "Phia" was just a nickname. Just after that, Simeon had felt like he was on top of the world before Delia opened her mouth. Instead of a question, she basically told him off. He gaped at Delia for a second or two, before retrieving his posture. He didn't realize how much of a smart-a** she was, or that she would actually say something like that. Especially when she was recovering from a blackout. "If we weren't there to help, the two of you wouldn't have made it." Simeon told Delia, trying to boost his confidence once more.

Then, he folded his hands together. He felt it stinging and looked down at his right had to see a growing blister on the center of his palm. Simeon poked his hand and it began to sting some more. "Chiron, look at this." Simeon held his hand in front of the centaurs face. "That's, uh, a very nice blister you have there, Simeon." Chiron said awkwardly, looking behind Simeon's hand and at Simeon. He drew his hand back and looked at it, tempted to poke it one more time. "After I killed the first Hellhound that had been chasing Delia, I touched her arm and she... shocked me. At first, I thought it was from the Hellhound. Just after I had touched her, she blacked out. When I picked her up, she didn't shock me anymore. It was like she intentionally did it, or was full of power." Simeon told Chiron, hoping he understood what he was trying to say. Chiron looked between Simeon and Alek, eyes wide. "Oh. Oh. Not again." Chiron shook his head then looked in between the girls. "I, uh, need to speak with Mr. D for awhile, then we will find a cabin for you two girls to stay in while we discuss matters." Chiron said, then wheeled himself out of the Big House and onto the porch.

Delia listened as her sister talk to the other boy. But no one was answering her questions yet. Well except for Phia. Her sister tried to reassure her that she was ok, but somehow, Delia felt that Phia wasn't. Maybe her sister was feeling a little out of place, Delia knew she was. But right now those things didn't matter. Not right now. Then she looked at the gray-eyed boy, as he repeated her name. Then the boy began saying that they were in the Big House at Camp Half-Blood. And that they were safe. There was something about this boy that made her wary of him. Delia didn't want to believe a word she said. But having the black haired boy, her sister, and the wheelchair man, Delia was feeling a little at ease. Then the gray-eyed boy said that she had blacked out. When she looked into his face and took his features in recognition clicked in her head. This boy shared a shocking resemblance to an old school foe. Delia shuddered, and tried to get as far away from him as she possibly could. As she told him off, Delia could tell he deflated a little, but he had a quick wit. And immediately gave a retort back

Delia found her fists clenching. As much as she was afraid of this boy, he struck a nerve with her. She went to respond to me, but then he began looking at his palm. Delia found herself unconsciously looking at his palm. There indeed was a blister forming on his palm. She sighed, and watched as he showed Chiron the blister. But then he began to explain about the run-in with the hellhounds. But what made her even more angry was that he blamed her for his blister. Delia fixed a glare at Simeon, she could tell they were going to be butting heads more frequently. Unless she stayed away from him. "I am not to blame for you and your stupidity. I'm not the one who decided to touch me am I? If anyone's to blame you are." She would have said something else, but Delphia was trying not to laugh, and the other kid was smiling smugly. Delia looked up at Chiron and he had a semi-stern face for her, and Delia decided not to say anything else. But then something seemed to hit him as well. He said oh oh and that he and Mr. D needed to talk.

"Great. Just great. We don't even fit in here either." She said, as Chiron rolled himself away from them, and out to the front porch. Delia stood up, and let the blanket fall back on the couch. Then she began pacing around, and running her hand through her dark hair. "Where will we be staying? We'll need some better clothes, seeing as how ours are completely soaking wet and dirty." She said. Delia felt restless, she licked her lips as she kept pacing. She wondered why the wheelchair guy had looked so unsettled at the news of her almost electrocuting Simeon. Delia kind of felt sorry, and a tiny bit guilty for hurting him, but she was also kind of glad that he was in pain. Acting like he was all high and mighty, and better than her. "Why is that guy so distraught over the two of us, and me giving you a tiny blister?" Delia asked, her curiosity getting the better of her. But if she didn't get a straight answer from either of these guys, she swore she would punch one of them out.

Alek watched Delphia very carefully. She seemed to shiver at the words her sister was speaking. At this very moment, he wanted to hug her, and tell Delphia that everything would be ok. But they had just met, and he knew it wasn't the time for any of those things. Plus, Simeon wouldn't let him forget it if he had done it in front of Simeon. But maybe if he did, Simeon wouldn't take too much notice of it, because Simeon was so focused on the other girl. Alek felt bad that Delphia was covered in mud and wet. But she told him not to worry about it. So, Alek just brightened up, and watched the other girl stirring, and soon she had woken up. He could tell that Delia was confused and kept asking questions. Then Delphia said she was sorry about Sander. He had to admit he didn't know much about Sander, Alek hadn't talked to the guy much. But it was sad, and he could tell that Delphia had started to take a liking to Sander.

Then Delphia tried to reassure her sister, although it didn't seem to work too much. Then he just sat back and watched as Delia went after Simeon, and Simeon's ego deflated a little but he quickly responded with a witty remark about how if they hadn't stepped in, the girls would have been killed. Which was a little scary. He wouldn't want any harm coming to any half-blood, but knew that half-bloods have a limited time on earth. Alek watched as Delia took in her surroundings, including Chiron, and one look at Chiron made Delia hold back the retort she had coming for Simeon. Alek chuckled a little, but soon became just as confused as the girls, once Simeon had told the story of being shocked by Delia. Shortly there-after, Chiron wheeled himself out, and began to talk about the two girls sitting in this room.

Delia became restless, and began pacing back and forth. Asking questions about where they would be staying and they would need more clothes. They hadn't brought much with them, on their journey, just themselves, and the clothes they had on their backs. "We'll get you some clothes from the Camp's store, and you'll soon have some more clothes by the time winter comes around." He said politely. But she just kept firing questions. About why Chiron was so distraught at the two of the girls. "Well Delia, maybe Chiron thinks that you and Delphia are extremely powerful. One of the big three's kids." He said, throwing out a guess. Alek wasn't the smartest person in the world, but he did have some smarts up in his brain.

The damp clothes that clung to he skin felt like ice creeping down her back. Delphia felt uncomfortable in her position; she felt like something was going to happen unexpectedly. Besides Delia and Simeon arguing with each other, she tried to keep her distance from Alek. He seemed to be acting too friendly, like he was trying to get something out of her. She doubted it, but she didn't need to get pulled into things she didn't want to get pulled into. Not this early. She didn't know anything about the camp, their borders, or the random horse thing. Delphia felt like she had enough on her plate and she didn't need any more. Maybe she would have different thoughts about that after she slept, but right about now she was stressed like crazy. When Simeon -- from what Chiron had him -- showed Chiron -- from what Simeon had called him -- the blister on his hand and explained, Chiron seemed to stiffen. He got up and left to go talk to Mr. D. He didn't exactly get up, more like rolling. Delphia looked between Simeon and Alek, like they were hiding some type of classified secret.

Suddenly, Delia sprang from the couch and began pacing around the room. Phia subconsciously scratched her head like she always did when her sister did this. Of course they needed new clothes, but Delphia felt uncomfortable requesting clothes from a boy. This place had a Camp store? "The Big Three? What is that?" Delphia asked, surprised Alek had called the two powerful. If anyone was powerful, it would be Delia out of the two. Unless . . . "When Sander was explaining Camp Half-Blood, he said this place was for Demigods. Like, half human half god? If all of this stuff is true, then who is your parents?" Delphia asked, speaking the most she had since she had met the boys. "And who are the 'Big Three'? Why are they so powerful? What's the difference between them and the other gods? We don't know our father." The last line had poured out of her mouth like word vomit, and she had regretted it. Delphia cursed herself for letting her curiosity get the best of her. Unfortunately, curiosity was her weakness. She looked between Simeon and Alek, waiting for an answer. If anything, Alek would answer her first. "Also, what is he?" Phia asked, nodding her head towards porch where Chiron and Mr. D were, obviously having an intense conversation.

Phia watched her sister pace back and forth. She had a feeling that Delia was either going to explode or end up blacking out again. The chances of her exploding where very likely, especially with this boy. Delphia couldn't see why her sister didn't like him. He surely seemed to like her, a lot. She had never seen her sister black out before today. She always seemed to run on adrenaline, and never calm down. Delia always had a comeback or an insult to fire back at someone. Judging from the boy, Simeon, he didn't look like he was about to back down, either. Standing up, Delphia reached out and grabbed her sisters right shoulder to make her stop pacing. "Del, stop. Maybe you should sit and... calm down?" Phia was unsure about how her sister would react to her, even though her sister never reacted badly towards Delphia. She led her sister towards the longer couch, the one she had been lying on. She propped down next to her sister and waited for the horse to come back, if he did. By now, it had grown louder outside like a bunch of unhappy children. That made Delphia long to look outside.

Simeon watched as Chiron took into consideration the blisters and rolled out of the room to talk to Mr. D. There was no doubt these girls were powerful. Anyone who could attract two Hellhounds and the border or Camp Half-Blood must have a crazy scent. Delia must have taken his accusation the wrong way because she quickly counteracted with another comeback. "I was showing Chiron what you had done to my when I touched you. It helps us determine who your father... or mother is. If anything, you and your sister are lucky because I touched you." Simeon attempted to explain. He didn't want to get into an argument with this girl. He had a sneaky suspicion that she would win. He liked her a lot better when she was unconscious. Simeon silently prayed to the gods that she wouldn't retort. He didn't mind the questions; he had questions of his own when he first arrived at Camp Half-Blood. In fact, everyone of the campers did unless they were raised to be a demigod. Most parents didn't do that. Once you knew what you were, you're aura and scent grew stronger than ever before.

"Trust me, you fit in perfectly." Simeon looked over at Alek, who was a son of the big three. It was rare, mostly because the Big Three weren't suppose to have children. It would cause a lot of chaos in Mount Olympus. Like a flip of a switch, Delphia started firing questions like she had stored them inside of her. "My father works as an engineer in Maine, and my mother is Athena, Goddess or Wisdom," Simeon told Delphia and Delia. Hopefully that wouldn't piss off Delia. Standing up, he relied on Alek to answer the rest of the questions that were soon to come. "I'm going to go get Lucas to steal some clothes from the camp store. Alek, can you handle these two?" Simeon asked, looking between the three of them. Before Alek had a chance to answer, Simeon turned around and left the three of them. He walked right by Mr. D and Chiron, who didn't even bother to look up at the two. Thunder boomed in the sky, which wasn't necessarily a good thing. They were having an intense conversation in ancient Greek. Before he could make out any words that they were saying, he crashed into just the thief he was looking for. Lucas.

"Lucas, would you mi-" Simeon began to ask, before he was cut off. "What's going on? We had your flag just when Chiron canceled the game and called everyone to go to their cabins. Bobby was looking all over for you, and Electra was searching for Alek. We couldn't find the two of you anywhere," Lucas complained, peeking behind him and into the Big House. "It's a long story. We'll explain tomorrow, but we found two demigods fighting a couple of Hellhounds." Simeon explained, itching to get back into the Big House. He didn't want to have this conversation with Lucas. He just wanted to get the clothes. "Hellhounds?" Lucas' eyes grew big. "Don't worry. Hey, can you steal me some shirts and some shorts from the camp store? It would be appreciated." Lucas nodded and was off to the store, an odd look on his face. In five minutes, he came back with four t-shirts and two pairs of shorts. "Thanks, man." Simeon patted Lucas on the back and turned towards the Big House. After passing by Chiron and Mr. D, he tried to listen but couldn't make out any words. "Here you go girls," Simeon said, placing the orange t-shirts and denim shorts on the coffee table.
