Raul sighed when she said she was glad he'd be her doctor. Jeez. Just what on earth was he getting himself into? This woman was a threat. And not an idle one, either. She had caught on to something much bigger than just a shiny scar on his arm. Which, at this point, he was thinking of wrapping in gauze in order to avoid situations like this one. Or maybe he could try burning it off? No, that'd be even more noticeable. Especially if it healed in a day or two.
Dr. Kario stared at the girl. Why would she want to see him every day? Did she want to know more about his scar? Did she honestly suspect that he and her pediatrician were the same person? If so, then wouldn't she want to avoid him at all costs due to his weird aging? Curiosity bloomed in his chest as he looked at her, completely ignoring her next statement.
Finally snapping out of his reverie, he blinked at her. Raul cleared his throat, trying to shake off the awkwardness floating in the room. "Uh, we'll start as soon as the nurse comes to your house and installs everything. I will be checking up on you after every treatment, and then every Monday and Friday." With that, he got up and opened a massive overhead cabinet with plenty of files stacked neatly with names sticking out of them. He was impeccably neat.
Once he had wedged it into a different section that was set apart by a vertical shelf set toward the end instead of putting it in with the rest of them, he closed the cabinet and sat back down. "Now, if you have any problems or questions, then call me. If you have plans that interfere with our scheduled meetings, then please let me know so we can rearrange it for some time that day. It's very important that we meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays."
