                                                      maddie looked over herself in her mirror. She hated this uniform. It was so stiff and uncomfortable, and she was sure her mom put enough starch in her vest to knock out a person. Sighing, Maddie walked away from her mirror, over to her bed, sitting down on it. She had a funny feeling about catering the party later in the night. Rubbing her turning stomach, the small brunet sighed.

                                                      "Maddie! Hurry up, Evan's going to be here soon!" Shooting a sour look at her door, she rolled her eyes. It was her mothers fault she had this job. A friend of a friends sister had a spot open, and her mother believed that Maddie needed to get out and meet more people. The thought alone made small brunette want to just go curl up somewhere and hide. Didn't anyone understand that some people weren't made to socialize? No, no, apparently not.

                                                      Sighing, Maddie reached over, picking up her jewelry box off her night table, opening it with care. It had been the last gift her best friend had given her before she left, and Maddie tried to take care of it. Too bad the hinges didn't agree, which is why she was opening it up like it was about to break. Pulling out her little pink bow earrings and her cupcake necklace. Rubbing the little pink cupcake, the faint smell of strawberries and chocolate floated up to Maddie's nose, making her smile. Good, she was definitely going to need that when the booze hounds started smelling drink and hanging all over her, demanding more alcohol.

                                                      A honking sound made Maddie jump, closing her jewelry box with a snap, wincing when the remaining hinge made a snapping sound. She'd check when she got home, but at the moment, she had to run. Grabbing her small bag, phone and keys, Maddie ran for the door, shouting incoherent goodbyes as she slammed the front door closed behind her.

                                                      Half way down the front steps, Maddie paused, suddenly reminding herself that she might have forgotten her phone. Grumbling under her breath, the small girl practically ripped open her bag, digging around in the contents stuffed inside. About to curse and head back inside, she heard a familiar chime, the girl going red in the face, realizing her phone was in hand. Letting out a sigh, she kept her head down, running up to the off white vehicle, opening the passenger door and flinging herself into the seat. "Hi Ev," she muttered softly, rubbing her arm, not looking at him. She was still embarrassed, and she knew he was grinning. This wasn't the first time she had done this in front of him, and he almost never let her live it down the rest of the night.

                                                      Truly, Evan was as cheeky as his twin brother, Kevin. Letting out a sigh though her nose, Maddie peaked up at him, groaning. "Oh, jeez Evan! Stop snickering and drive! You know how the Monore's get if we're late. Especially the old lady." Hitting his shoulder, with about as much force as a kitten pouncing on you, Maddie couldn't help but smile a little, pulling on her seat belt as her friend finally pulled away from the curb. Well, at least she wasn't working with someone she didn't know tonight, even if she still felt like something bad was going to happen.

                                        * █ . . . ( Damien Avery Conners. )
                                              the shameless P L A Y E R

                                                              DAMIEN HAD SLIPPED out of Melinda's apartment sometime before she woke up. Though, he knew she would not be liking that. Though, the girl knew the rules. Even if he did end up in her bed most of the the time, he still had to keep up appearances as the town man whore. He had a reputation after all. That, and there were other girls he did sleep with. But that was who Damien was. Which Melinda knew that. But she still insisted on getting mad at him.

                                                              Not like it was any skin off his nose. Damien was who he was, and even though he had come to cared about the girl, he still had his own personal set of rules. It wasn't like she was it like she was hinting she wanted to settle down with him. Unless she had, he was pretty clueless on it. Sometimes, you had to be direct with what you wanted from Damien, else he wouldn't take it seriously. Still, until she said the words to his face, he took it as free reign to run around and be himself still.

                                                              Unfortunately for Melinda, Damien knew it was time to call it quits. She was getting in over her head, even though she knew he wasn't the settling type, she still tried. But it was going to end badly, like always, and Damien would be right back on the prowl.

                                                              Like he was now. Sitting in the coffee shop, hitting on some poor girl. Though, he wasn't wearing last nights clothes, oh no. Damien was vain about his appearance and how he dressed. If he looked anything less than amazing and ********, there was something wrong. If he didn't look like how he felt, then how else was he going to live in the world of seduction and trapping poor young girls with his words? Not very easily, that was for damn sure.

                                                              Leaning in towards the girl, he grinned seductively. "Well, if you're ever looking for a fun night around here, give me a call." The brunet purred as he slid a card with his number across the table top. He was so close to closing the deal, he could taste it. Though, there was one thing Damien was all about. Of course he'd made sure this poor, obviously naive girl was; Legal. He wasn't going to jail because some horny 14 year old looked 18 and was eager to get it on with him. Oh hell no. There were limits to what Damien and who Damien flirted with.

                                                              Now, if there was a crying fourteen year old, over some stupid boy who had broken her fragile teenage heart, he would hit on her a little. Nothing serious, but give her a vote of confidence. Then wink he would point out a boy about her age, and tell her to be confidant, and go talk to him. Or in some cases, another girl. He wasn't a complete pig, he did do some nice things with his charms and smooth words.

                                                              Of course, then the nasily voice of the current girl he was wooing, brought Damien out of his reprieve. "I might just take you up on that, Damy." And just like that, his boner was gone. Still, he wasn't about to be a complete a*****e to the girl. Until she actually drove him to that point. It was obvious she was trying to be sexy and keep him interested. Just trying too hard usually meant girls were desperate. Which until he had heard her say that, he hadn't taken her as desperate.

                                                              Eying her out of the corner of his eye, she was an attractive thing; Long dark hair, big green eyes, very voluptuous, and a good skinny any girl like her should have. He didn't see why she was trying so hard. In fact, when he had walked in, she had been texting someone and smiling, so that was something else that wasn't adding up.

                                                              Turning his full attention back to the girl, he smirked, reaching out, lightly scratching under her chin. She leaned into his touch, clearly eating up the attention. "Love, it's Damien. Dami-en." He corrected with another purr, watching as it made the girl shudder. "Now, then..." He began, pausing when he felt his pocket buzz. Pulling it out of his pocket, he raised a brow, seeing who it was from. A mutual friend, someone Damien couldn't name until he was standing face to face with them, had forwarded him an invite to a part later. Something semi-formal. Interesting. Lifting a brow, he smirked.

                                                              Looking back up at the girl he was wooing, Damien's smirk was as seductive as dark chocolate, his eyes half lidded, leaning in. "How would you like to join me at a party tonight? Be my..." He paused, watching how her face changed; from shock, to pleased, then to lustful, nodding when he hadn't even gotten the word out. "Date?"

                                                              "More than anything." The girl breathed, her eyes lighting up as Damien pulled out one of his blank cards he kept on hand. Writing down the time and what to dress in, loosely, he slid her the card. Tonight, he was going to have fun, maybe not with this girl, but he would at this party. Maybe have a random hookup with some rich girl. Anything could happen in this small town, as Damien had learned after meeting the infamous missing girl, Cassidy Carter.
