Spirit walked into the room her face sent into a frown, the job seemed interesting enough however interviews were not her thing.

"Alexis McKennith I presume." said the Director and the woman nodded saying. "That is right sir."

"Please... Just relax... You just need to answer a few questions. You have heard about the program and the parameters we set out, right?" The Counselor says, noticing she seemed tense. He wanted to keep this relaxing at least a little bit.

"Yes sir I have." said Spirit forcing herself to relax, she was used to being so rigid and tense.

"Good... We are looking for qualified applicants like yourself to join such an elite program. We will give you free room and board along with a nice paycheck if you join." The Counselor says smoothly, looking to see if the Director is going to add more.

"I feel I must remind you, that it is an undeniable, and may I say a fundamental quality of man, that when faced with extinction, every alternative is preferable!"

"I was given free room and bored back in the UNSC what do you have to offer?" asked Alexis coldly.

"This is a chance to put what talents you have to use. Put the past behind you." said the Director looking over her file. "You are a skilled individual Alexis and you will find that everyone here is a lot like you."

"How?" she questioned.

"Every person here has something to hide." the Director answered and Alexis nodded saying. "Alright I'm in."

"Good... We shall depart as soon as you're ready to go..." The Counselor says smoothly. He starts to head back to the pelican.

North sits next to South in the nearly empty pelican. It felt... Strange... To be back in civilian clothing. Strange, but good... With no shackles on it was even better. Well, except one...

A silver bracelet is enclosed on his wrist, the same one that's on South's. No clasp, no way to get it off, the UNSC gave it as a condition of the two being able to start their new life: They had to be marked for their past crimes. Luckily, it was hidden under his shirt.

He looks over, seeing the other guy who was making the trip with him. He already got New York from the nametag, one on him saying North Dakota. Might as well start friendly. "So... York, huh?"

"Wow, is that holographic? That's high end."

"North and... South Dakota right?" asked York trying to get a good look at their tags. "Yup my name is York, lock specialist."

"These guys love their holographic locks."

"Yeah... Nathan Giles, this is Cassie..." North says, not fully feeling comfortable with his new state name. "Marksman, mostly... Though I can do short range, South specializes in short range. So, do you know anything about this program?"

"Wow, is that holographic? That's high end."

"Not much." said York leaning back. "Joined because of the free room and board. That and the hefty paycheck."

"These guys love their holographic locks."

"Yeah... Me too, basically..." North says with a grin, scratching the back of his neck nervously. South rolls her eyes next to him, still resenting the fact that they insisted that he came along, it was her time to shine, after all.

"Are you two going to make out or something yet?" South snaps irritably, her arms folded. She was already short-tempered due to the flight, small talk wasn't helping.

"Wow, is that holographic? That's high end."

"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bunk this morning." said York grinning.

"We are coming up on our stop." said the Pilot and York jumped out of his seat. "Sit back down, don't want you to go flying the moment we land."

York grinned before sitting back down, soon after was the smoothest landing he had ever felt.

"Well we're here guys." said York standing up again and grabbing his bag.

"These guys love their holographic locks."

South stands up immediately, grabbing her much smaller bag that carried her few things. She walks off with some dignity, but not much. She hated flying, anywhere.

North follows his twin, looking around the pelican bay. There were soldiers unloading, soldiers taking tours, there seemed to be pelicans everywhere dropping off soldiers. He spots a woman waving them over, and walks to greet her.

"Hello, and I'm your tour guide of the Mother of Invention. If you please follow me, I will show you around the ship." The woman says in a sickeningly cheerful voice, starting to walk away before anyone could say anything.

Alexis got off the pelican looking around, she had never been on a destroyer before. She saw the tour guide calling over people and walked over.
