Her long black her blew in the wind as she stepped out of the shop. In her hand was a bag of strawberries, which she was subconciously reaching into, pulling out the fruit and shoving into her mouth. The tast was sweet, but with a hint of bitterness, a lot like her personality. As she trundled down the street, her mind wandered, thinking of things greater than her. Thinking of other worlds and parrellel dimensions, debating whether she was born into the wrong one. Her mind was so consumed by fantasy, that she stumbled into a lamp post and dropped her little bag of strawberries. The red fruit tumbled out of the paper and rolled down the path, being crushed underfoot by passers by. Sabriel grunted at her misfortune and bent down to pick them up. It was then that she noticed, someone was watching her, but they weren't staring in mockery, they were looking with an intention. They wanted something and Sabriel felt a chill run down her spine as she looked into the intense mans eyes. He didn't flinch like most people would have when they were forced to have eye contact. She aborted her mission of saving the berries, stood up and scurried down the street, trying not to make it obvious that she was freaked out.
