[Uh-oh Its Arroyo]

Before the Storm…


…Terror and Chaos lays siege on the peaceful city of Zephyr, the largest city in the continent of Arcadia. A mysterious storm brews and blankets itself over the unsuspecting city and causes unusual things to happen. No one knows where the storm originated from but the storm seems to contain weird energy signatures that seem to conflict with the mana within people. Some people maybe able to repel the effects of the storm away or keep it’s powerful grip away from their sanity at bay, but the temptation is always there… Who knows how long the storm will last, it could be days or even a month... Can you survive this everlasting storm?

Symptoms caused by the storm include:
- Negative emotion (such as anger, depression, ect.)
- Insomnia
- Heightened paranoia
- Increase of psychical/ abilities

It is possible to snap out of the state of being “feral” or “corrupted” by the storm, but it will not be easy at first. In order to succumb to the effects, one must drain the mana from the storm itself instead of the Earth, where mana is commonly drawn from.

The storm apparently can cancel out certain abilities for atleast a day, and its effects always change by day.

-Please be respectful to other people.
-Do not be a godmodder.
-Try to type in complete sentences and use proper spelling and grammar.
-Do not go ahead a day. Only the GM can skip through time. If the GM wants to end a day, he will ask for everyone’s approval first before doing so.
-Got a question? PM the GM (“GameMaster” AKA The guy who runs the roleplay : D )
-Romance is allowed but no cybering.
-Obey the TOS.
- We will be using Story format style roleplaying. Meaning no scripting allowed.

Weapon: He uses a Vulcan arm cannon (backwards compatible for using both mana and real bullets), which is strapped, into his forearm down to his hand. His weapon also takes form of a necklace that is shaped into the symbol for Pi. He can also commit a weapon summoning as well.
Personality: He tends to suffer from a big ego for being “gifted”, but he tends to be a hardworker and very dedicated to his work.

Description: His skin is slightly on the red side, and his hair is short in the back but looks a bit messy in the front, and the color of his hair is a cool brown and his eyes are topaz yellow. A noticeable feature is that he has a giant stitch mark running across his nose and his hands also have stitch marks all over it, which is why he tends to wear gloves a lot.

Personality: She's pretty Bubbly and always thinks on the bright sides of things. She's also very alert and assertive. But when she's angered(or just plain really pissed off) she's a very ruthless fighter and a completely different person...

Description/Picture: (Drawing picture at the moment) You see a Anthro wolf. Red hair, one silver eye, one red. She has a crazed look on her face, almost as if she's about to laugh at you. Around her neck sits a loose spike collar, contrasting against her silver-grey furr.

Somewhere in the city, two boys lounged around at a local park, staring at the dismal looking sky. It's dark red look reflected in their eyes. "It's hard remembering what the blue sky looked like after seeing these clouds, right?" Arroyo looked over at Aric and Aric nodded in agreement. "More the reason why we need to study this..."Storm" for data and ways to get rid of it." He held out his backpack, which was filled with a weather balloon and a firstaid kit along with a couple of tools. Arroyo was left in charge of holding his laptop and his research equipment for the weather balloon in a separate backpack along with another first aid kit.

"I just hope we don't run into people who are corrupted by this antimana." Arroyo giggled slightly at what Aric named this weird energy that came from the sky. "We really should be locking ourselves inside a building like anyone else but there's no fun in that...I just hate to imagine what the bad parts of the town looks like now..." He shivered a bit at the thought and followed Aric out of the park. "Come on we need to find a good place to launch the weather balloon. Maybe we might be able to do something before things get worse." Arroyo shrugged in response. "Not possible but hey why not try?"

Near the park were the two boys were a mysterious figure came out of a mist that was forming several meters away from them. the man walked over to the boys and put his hand on one of their shoulder. "you two should be care full. you might get corrupted like most of the people in this city." The man had his face covered and he backed away from them. "my name is schar. and you should be careful around me, i have a bounty on my head from a few countries over. so if you two boys see anything thats out of the ordinary please contact me with this." Schar held his hand out. in his hand was a simple pocket sized com. link.

Mika, a young teenage girl, had been wandering the streets of the city since the crack of dawn. She was on a mission to find a new spell of some sort. Her mentor had been very vague, as usual, and had sent her off this morning with little warning. "Beyond the comfort of your daily life, lies a place where the eye of the strom resides, within that place the elements clash. With any luck, you may find a new spell to add to your stash," the blonde mutters to herself, reciting the riddle her mentor had told her prior to her departure. Skeptically, she racks her weary brain for some idea of where this place may be. After searching all through town, she decided to take a break in a nearby park.

Presently, she crosses an empty street and makes her way to the center of the park. There, she finds a small group of men. Her chocolate eyes scan the group, but spot nothing too abnormal, just a felion. 'Nope, nothing weird here,' she tells herself, as she approaches the men. She smiles at them and makes eye contact with each of them. "Hello there. My name is Mika. It's a pleasure to meet you all," she says almost mechanically, as if she'd said those words a thousand times already. She wasn't used to interacting with others, mostly due to her mentor's bizarre "no meeting outsiders" rule, which he was now letting her break.

Arroyo took the com. link off of Schar's hand. "Umm ok? I just got one question?" He looked at him very closely. "Why help us if your wanted for your head?" His eyes slightly glazed over at the strange girl in the park then back at Schar. Aric looked back at Schar and stood still.

Curious about what the men are talking about, Mika cuts in. "What's going on around here anyway? The streets have been so quiet ever since I got here," she says.

Aric sighed a bit. "So then why did you warn us of your bounty? Is someone hunting for you?" He stared at Schar with a somewhat intense look on his face. Arroyo redirected his attention to the girl "Oh just looking out for each other, ya know. The usual? How about you?" He smiled in a cute way.

Schar was quiet then spoke up. "well funny story. . . uhhh. well the bounty hunters said they were gonna come after me so...i assume they will come after me eventually i dont know when but i will be on the run. and i assume since we are here. . ." Schar smirked from underneath his scarf. "well since were all here, that makes a team! we watch each others back at all costs! if one of us gets a symptom of the storm sickness then we give them this!" Schar pulled out a weird shot with purple liquid in it. "i just need a sample of the storm cloud and then my anti-storm sickness serum will be completed!" Schar tilted his head. it seemed if he was being affected by the storm sickness but, he hasn't started to look like the other infected people. then he calmly put the serum back in his medical pouch of many medicines.

About several miles away from the city, near the thickest part of the storm, a large object about 10ft tall was moving closer to the part of the city where Schar was. "scanners indicate that target No. 0112354, is in the region of that city." over a com. link came a voice to the large object. the voice was blanked out to make it sound like some one else. the object talked into the com. link. "what is it boss?" a voice came out of the com. link. "have you found that rat yet? or will i have to send more Kill Roy's?" The object spoke back to the voice. "no sir. i can handle that rat myself." the object turned it's com link off and pulled the hood off of the long cloak that covered his body. it revealed it's metallic head, the red lights illuminated. two were his eyes and the third was a strange gem stone. on the back of his head was several solar panels that had a sparkle of purple. then the object put the hood back on concealing his head. from out of the shadows of the hood, it's eyes illuminated red.

Aric scoffed at Schar's medicine. "That will only temporary stop the storm's effects and besides...We could always use it on someone who is already infected if we want to. Arroyo and I have a strange immunity to the storm, probably because our mana is strong enough to repel it's grip unless we choose to accept the antimana... so I assume." Then his expression turned into a creepy grin as he stares at Schar with his eyes wide. "But who knows how long I can survive without the antimana effecting me..." His face turned back to normal after a couple of seconds.

'A storm? I've never heard of it. That darned mentor of mine never lets me leave home, so I suppose there's got to be some sort of protection or something around the place. It has been cloudier out there recently,' Mika thinks to herself, as she nods at the man's idea to form a team. Maybe this would make her current task easier if she had a few others to lend her a helping hand if need-be. "Would this team of yours benefit from having a spellcaster/sorceress around?" she asks the tall man.

Schar scratched his head and pondered. "well i to have the same sort of amenity. but. . . it does effect my ability to use lightning. when i summon a bolt from the sky its green instead of yellow like it normally is." Schar put his hand on his head and pulled out a strand of his hair. "a demonstration perhaps?" Schar threw some of his hair into the air. then he held his hand up at the sky. he closed his eyes and sparks flew off of the hair on his head. then the clouds swirled around to look like a tornado. then from out of the funnel came a bolt of green lightning. the bolt hit the hair he pulled out of his head. when it hit the ground it made a crack of thunder that roared into the empty city.

Several miles away kill roy saw the lightning. "target confirmed. moving to location" he mumbled to himself. he activated his hyper boosters and flew towards the city. he activated his blaster that came out of his arm. he fired a shot that was aimed perfectly at Schar. Schar didn't expect the on coming lazar bolt. it hit him right in the stomach and he went flying into a building. then the large metal robot on cloaked himself. "no need for worry." he told the others, "i am only here for the gensai." the metal monster pounded his feet towards schar's landing area. "your going down you centium creature."

Arroyo smiled and pats the girl's pack. "Sure the more the merrier!" He smiled then felt a vibration from the mech's landing. Aric looked up at the Mech at awe. "Oh my~ This is a lovely piece of metal and wires~ It must be a new model~" Aric drooled slightly and stood still. Arroyo shook him a bit by the collar of his shirt. "Not a good time to have an orgasm over machines, Aric." He looked up at the mech and then at the girl. "We best get to a safe place!" He grabbed the girl's arm and pulls her far away from the mech.

Aric looked up at the mech and wield his Vulcan arm cannon in one hand. "Mana bullets won't do much so I best use real bullets." He pulled out a strip of ammo out from underneath his shirt that was wrapped around his waist 3 times and raises his gun. " These bullets are a special blend I made myself, it can penetrate anything below the hardness of 8.9 on the scale so unless your made of diamonds yours probably not gonna last...such a shame...you have nice armor too."

"Wonderful," Mika says with a smile, as the earth shakes from the impact. Before she even has time to react, the furry had already grabbed her arm and begun dragging her away from the large mech. "A half-man half-machine huh? That looks like fun to fight, but I doubt I could do anything to help," she mutters to herself, as she follows the felion.
