Nathaniel changed his expression into one of utter disappointment and frowned slightly in a more humorous way; obviously showing that he was in no way actually sad. “ It’s a dreadful day when a man can no longer comment on another man’s clothing choice without it being thought of as a request for going shirtless.” he muttered irritably, smirking to himself while taking another sip of wine from his glass. He set the empty glass down and looked across the counter towards the vampire while refilling it, at the same time saying, “ Tsk, tsk. What kind of man are you? Scars shouldn‘t just be ugly memories of horrid moments of life. They should be able to take on at least one good purpose and that would be to show them off in an attempt of winning a contest against someone else.” He understood why he wouldn‘t want to seeing as his memories were a bit more dreadful than others that could come with scars but still; in his mind life was all about winning. He loved competition and hearing that Cameron didn‘t was near the strangest thing he had ever heard from another man.

How was it that a laugh from a vampire that he hated could sound so…alluring and provocative? It‘s just the alcohol messing with how I usually interpret things…ugh. Focus now, he‘s laughing at you! You don‘t just stand for that. Taking another sip of the bittersweet drink in his wine glass the nymph lowered his cup and let out a soft laugh of his own. Nathan kept his eyes on his once more half-empty wine glass before responding, “ Don‘t act? I‘m a nymph and can take on the form of whoever and whatever I want -it‘s like a costume change. I love to act almost as much as I enjoy annoying you, parasite. Combining the two makes up a wonderful hobby. You can‘t tell a fish not to breathe underwater.

The young man listened and a smirk slowly formed across his lips. “ Trying to make you feel bad is not a waste of my valuable breath. It‘s a challenge that I intend on winning, Cameron.” he said, setting the now empty wine glass down. Unfortunately, he didn’t set it down very gently and with his higher strength still working even in his human form the glass shattered in his hand. “ s**t!” he mumbled under his breath, as the brief moment of pain flashed through his hand. On instinct, he tried shifting his skin molecules to heal the cuts and stop the blood but that caused a headache to begin only causing a bit more pain. “ Damn this necklace…” he cursed, slowly picking the glass shards out of the palm of his hand. “ Hey, the answer is probably no but do you happen to have any bandages?” Nathaniel muttered, not quite remembering the whole ‘vampire’ thing at the moment as blood slowly began welling up from the cuts in his hand.

At Nathaniel's comment about the shirt Cameron couldn't help but roll his eyes at it. It was one of those times when he felt childish and wanted to say, 'You started it', but refrained from doing so. "Not everything is about winning, Nathaniel. If everything were a contest it would only make the world more crazed then it already happens to be." The vampire couldn't help noticing that the nymph thought many things were all about competing and such. He wondered if he was raised in such a way or if that was just how he was. Well he'd be around the man for quite sometime so he was bound to find out eventually.

Cameron took another few gulps of his mixed drink before placing it back on the counter. He was pretty content for the time being but it would probably be a couple of more drinks until he was actually full. He looked back over at Nathaniel as he went on about how being a nymph was all about acting. "I was simply saying don't act naive, though I suppose you can't help it really..." He smirked at the man before taking another sip from his glass.

"Once again with the challen-" The vampire began before Nathaniel's glass suddenly shattered right in his hand. Cameron scented the blood before he actually saw the nymph beginning to pick shards of glass out of his palm. And what a delcicious scent it was. It smelled ten times better then when it was in his body! He could tell his eyes had already turned red and he felt his vampiric canines grow longer so that they peeked out from beneath his upper lip. Damn it Cameron! You cannot lose control now! He mentally scolded himself. But it smells soooo good and I haven't had fresh blood in years... His hands were clutching the edge of the counter, making his knuckles turn whiter, if that was even possible.

Cameron then realized that Nathaniel was speaking to him. Asking for something...bandages. Yes bandages. That was it. With being beyond buzzed and the scent of the nymph's blood continuing to make him lose it he couldn't seem to process anything in his head. Bandages, bandages...blood, fresh blood. It was like he was going haywire in his own mind. Focus damn it, focus. He tried remembering if he actually kept bandages in the house. Why would he? His eyes flickered back over to Nathaniel who was nursing his wound. Just the sight of the blood made a low growl-like sound escape from the vampire's throat. He gulped and turned his eyes down to the floor. "Bathroom...if we had any...they'd be in the bathroom." He managed to choke out.

Thinking it would be better for him to get out of the room, he decided he should go check for himself. But the only way out of the kitchen was to walk right past Nathaniel. Then he seemed to remember that he had inhuman speed. In a blink of an eye he was gone, already down the hallway. The vampire remained a good minute in the bathroom, trying to calm himself down though he didn't think it'd do much good since he would just have to go back into the kitchen anyways. Unfortunatly he did not have any bandages in the house. Letting out a sigh, Cameron left the bathroom. His fangs had retracted somewhat though his eyes remained red. Once he reached the kitchen the scent threw itself at him again though this time he had been ready for it.

"Sorry but we don't seem to have any bandages. You'll have to survive without them until the bleeding stops. I'll have Maria pick some up before the next time she comes over." He stated, surprised at how orderly the sentence came out. Cameron picked up a dish towel that had been lying on the counter and tossed it gently in the nymph's direction. He refrained from looking directly at Nathaniel and went back to his place by the counter, quickly downing the rest of his glass. He figured if he drank enough then the smell wouldn't bother him as much. Plus maybe becoming more drunk would help as well...

Nathaniel was still picking out the sharp little pieces of glass that had embedded themselves into his skin and it took him a moment to realize that the kitchen had grown suddenly quiet. Turning away from examining his hand to see what had shut the vampire up and kept him from making some remark about what a clumsy move it was to set the wine glass down so harshly he discovered a rather surprising change in the man’s relaxed expression. The other’s eyes had turned a shocking red color and by looking closely he could see the tips of two fangs exposing themselves just barely beneath his upper lip. His entire stance had morphed into a more tense structure and his hands were clutching the edge of the countertop so fiercely it looked as if he was holding himself down or back from doing something. The nymph wondered what had happened to cause the change.

Cameron? Hey, are you okay? You look awfully te-” he spoke softly but immediately cut himself off. While speaking he had been reaching a hand forward to shake the vampire’s shoulder to get him to snap out of whatever he had fallen into but he had happened to reach his bloodied hand forward and the moment his lavender orbs caught sight of the blood slowly dripping down his hand, that was when it clicked. Blood. Vampire. Duh… Nathan supposed he could blame it on the many servings of liquor he had consumed but at the same time he felt rather dumb for not having made sense of the situation sooner. Now having this alarming epiphany the young man began trying to make his slow mind come up with an idea to get rid of the blood before something very bad happened. He wiped a bit of blood off onto his jeans -staining them badly no doubt- and raised his hand up to his mouth to begin sucking on one of his fingers that had a rather deep slice in it which was still bleeding profusely.

The faint sound of a growl coming from Cameron made the blood in his veins pump a bit faster and he felt his heartbeat accelerate. He couldn’t let himself get killed by the parasite while his sister was unconscious and helpless in the next room. Finally he had received a choked response as to the location of the bandages and he stood to his feet to go find them but it was too late; the other man was already out of the room so either they were no longer necessary if he was gone or he happened to be going to get them. When he came back without anything that looked like bandages he frowned in disappointment but caught the dishtowel gracefully and wrapped the cloth around his injured hand to stop the bleeding.

It was a relief to have the blood source now covered and he went back to his own seat at the counter across from the leech. He couldn’t help but let out a velvety laugh at the sight of him downing the glass and then saying, “ You really think more alcohol is going to help the situation? All it does is trick the mind and make things look more pleasing. What are you trying to do? Make me look a bit more tolerable and attractive so you can actually bear to look at me?” He rolled his eyes as he waited to see what kind of response that got him. Even after the close call he was still being quite a b*****d towards Cameron. It was all the wine egging him on, now.

Once the towel was wrapped around Nathaniel's wound Cameron felt slightly better, but only slightly. He was glad he couldn't see the blood but the towel hadn't helped at all with the smell. He hadn't been expecting it to in the first place, yet one could hope. The sweet aroma was still teasing his nostrils but he seemed to have a bit more control of himself now. His fangs had returned to normal though he was pretty sure his eyes would remained red for awhile. At least until he had more to drink or the scent of Nathaniel would become less distracting, though he didn't really see the latter happening.

"The alcohol won't make you anymore attractive, I assure you." The vampire commented, letting the nymph take it in a good or bad way since it could go under either. He was hinting it in a good way though Nathaniel had no way of knowing that. "I suppose you are on the right track...if I drink more it makes you tolerable, as you said, to be around so that I'm not as attracted to your blood. So me drinking more is better for you I guess you could say." He explained while carefully pouring more wine and blood into his glass.

His hands were shaking a little bit, though he didn't know if it was because of how much he had to drink or because he was still trying to control himself. "And I can look at you just fine." He added, glancing up to meet Nathaniel's gaze. It was true he had an urge to lick his lips again when he did so but instead raised his glass and took a few small sips from it. After doing so, then his tongue ran across his upper lip, now having a better excuse to do so.

Gee, thanks. No amount of alcohol could help you either.” the nymph mumbled sarcastically while rolling his indigo eyes and propping his chin up on his uninjured hand. His gaze wandered to the shattered pile of glass still on the counter and decided that he probably shouldn’t have anymore drinks even though the buzz would take an edge off the pain and be very enjoyable until the next morning. Still, the more drinks he had might lead to more accidents like the one only moments before and would it really be worth that? He was starting to think it might be good if one of them stayed at least a bit sober and it might be best if that was him since he was more destructible than the vampire sitting across from him. Standing back up, he carefully shoved the bits of glass into his covered hand and carried it over to the nearest trash can; dumping it in and being careful to make sure no more infinitesimal bits were still attached to the cloth. Walking over to the fridge he retrieved himself a bottle of water -a more sensible drink- and downed half of it quickly and ignored the numbing effects of brain freeze it gave him.

He closed the door to the fridge and carried his new drink back to his seat. Nathaniel thought about mentioning the whole more sober idea to Cameron but he wasn’t sure he would listen and he insisted that his drinks were helping him stay in control so he decided to keep his mouth shut. His head was still filled with the enjoyable tingling that the liquor had given him and thought processing felt hard or jumbled. He unfortunately knew that the water wouldn’t help him get sober any faster since only the passing of time would help but he took another sip of it anyway. Everything was still just as bad as it was before, though. He could tell because when the leech licked his lips he yet again felt a strange twitter within his stomach and despite how much he wanted to say it was because he was disgusted, the feeling didn’t feel like revulsion. Was the liquor actually making him think he could be attracted to a monster?!

Lucky you, because the whole blood drinking thing is getting kind of hard for me to watch.” Nathan said, making a painful expression and then smirking moments after. “ You missed a spot.” he mumbled pointing at a part of the other’s lower lip where there was still a slight smudge of blood.

The vampire's, still crimson, eyes followed Nathaniel's actions as he picked up the shards of glass and threw them away. If someone walked in just then it might look as if a lion where watching a gazelle. He just couldn't seem to look else where. His predator instincts had been riled up when he had almost lost control and once they started it was hard to get them to disappear. Especially since they seemed to think of the nymph as prey. Very handsome, delicious smelling prey.

Cameron shook his head slightly, trying to figure out if he should be thinking those thoughts at all. He supposed the alcohol was really kicking in because he just imagined a sign over Nathaniel that said, 'Eat me.' Maybe the other had been right. Maybe the alcohol really wasn't helping him at all. Well as long as the nymph didn't make any sudden, quick movements the vampire thought he'd be fine.

At Nathaniel's comment he smiled, fangs flashing. "Well I'm not forcing you to sit here and watch me drink, now am I?" A musical chuckle came from his throat. After the nymph pointed out that he still had some blood on his lip he raised his hand and wiped it off gracefully with his knuckle. Though that only caused the blood to come off onto his knuckle so he lifted his hand back to his lips and licked the smudge off it, looking a bit like a large cat cleaning its paw. Somewhere in his mind he knew that Nathaniel would probably think of such an action as 'sick' or 'disgusting' but his mind was conssumed by enough alcohol that at the moment he didn't seem to care. "How's that?" He purred, his tone turning slightly seductive.

Music began to fill the room they were sitting in. He found that he enjoyed the sound and almost opened his mouth to ask where it came from but he then realized it was simply Cameron laughing. " That's true, but it's not like you'd be able to force me to sit here even if you wanted to, vampire." Nathaniel said, giving a charming little cheshire cat grin towards the man. Even though the fight they had been in earlier in the day might lead one to think otherwise -especially considering the fact that his nymphing abilties were currently disabled- he had a confident, stubborn personality and adding liquor to that equation only made him think more highly of himself. After all, who couldn't feel great about themselves while on such a high and sensational buzz. The tingling sensation in his mind made it so that it was almost like there was something inside his skull vibrating against the sides and sending waves through his brain.

Some part of his mind still managed to register some distinct features that were still present on the vampire's face even though he had covered up his wound. The canines still seemed to stand out a little more than they should and his eyes still bore a deep red color. The sensible side of him that was being roughly subdued by the many glasses of wine he had drank screamed that something was still wrong with the situation and that he shouldn't still be relaxing in the same room as the other man. The rest of him though was whispering sweet nothings to him. Things like how much of a pain it would be to leave the room, how he could handle whatever the other dished out, and plus he was rather enjoying the view of the handsome vampire in front of him. Wait, what was that?! He shook his head trying to get himself off the track of thinking about the certain thing that the whispers had pointed out about Cameron. You are sooo, not attracted to him. Definitely not...

Lavender eyes watched, seemingly mesmorized as he watched the leech lick the blood from his hand. " Better." Nathan mumbled. For some reason instead of registering the movement as something to be disgusted by...his mind decided that it looked extremely sexy. Okay! That's enough of that! He suddenly just stood up to his feet and awkwardly stepped away from the counter, tripping slightly; something he never did but he blamed the unusual clumsiness on being drunk. " I think I've had enough of you for one night." he said, keeping his eyes off of Cameron as he made his way as quickly as he could towards the door while still walking so he wouldn't look as if he was panicked. Just a few more steps and you'll be out of the kitchen, then down the hall, and in an entirely separate room. When you wake up all these disturbing feelings will disappear and all you'll have is a nasty hangover. Move, move, move.

Cameron's lips twitched upward at Nathaniel's remark and his eyes narrowed ever so slightly. Though he decided to remain quiet and let the nymph think what he wanted to...for now anyways. Besides if he did comment on the subject it would probably only bring on another 'everything's about winning' lecture from the other and the vampire wasn't really interested at the moment. Other things were currently on his mind. Like Nathaniel himself. Even though his mind was becoming a bit...fuzzy, he did not miss the way the nymph hadn't taken his eyes off him when he had licked the blood off his hand. Plus the look of revulsion he had been expecting never surfaced.

Then it happened.

Just when Cameron had been hoping that the other wouldn't do so, Nathaniel suddenly was out of his seat, tripping slightly while doing so, made a smart remark, typical, and was very quickly making his way towards the door. It was all too perfect. Here was a defensless creature, well not really defensless but he wasn't exactly sober either, stumbling in front of him like a baby calf who was trying to escape. If the vampire were sober this scene may have slightly interested him though of course he wouldn't do anything. But the fact was he wasn't sober and seeing this happening right before him excited the predator greatly. Sure, he was able to control himself the first time but not now. Not when things just became so simple.

In a flash he was out of his seat and the next moment he had Nathaniel pinned against the wooden flooring. The vampire's knees were on either side of the other's thighs while his hands gripped his biceps and his chest hovered above the nymph's. Cameron's eyes now seemed to be almost glowing and his fangs had grown past his lower lip. "That's funny, because I haven't had enough of you." He cooed, too lost in the predator state to know what he was saying. He lowered his mouth and began brushing his lips along Nathaniel's neck, finally stopping just above his pulse. "The sound of your heart beat is music to my ears..." He murmured, his lips moving against the other's skin. His tongue then flicked out of his mouth and pressed against the nymph's pulse for less then a second, causing the vampire to shiver in pleasure at just the taste of other's skin. "And it'd be best if you didn't struggle...it'll only hurt more if you do." He added before getting ready to sink his fangs into Nathaniel's flesh.

[[Sorry about the god-modding there...^^;]]

Pale green eyes slowly fluttered open at a faint thudding sound that seemed to reverberate through the floor and shook the bed only briefly. It somehow had been enough to wake her from unconsciousness and even though her eyelids felt as heavy as lead Natalia opened her eyes. Everything was fuzzy though and seeing as she didn’t quite remember going to bed it was rather frightening to realize she had been moved. The young girl jolted up in bed and gasped as her gaze darted around the room in search of any threats. No dangerous or suspicious faces lurked around the room though. Just darkness and the only noise was her breath coming out in slowly. Her heart beat quickly from the start she had woken with and she managed to whisper with a hoarse voice, “ Nathan?” What had happened? This didn’t look at all like the room they had shared in Castle Roselyn. Had she been separated from her brother while taking a nap or suffering from a vision?!

That’s when everything somehow came tumbling back to her. They had both been bought and brought to the home of Cameron Blackmar. The vision of Cameron’s torturous experience in the past. Her brother’s voice frantically trying to keep her conscious as she slipped in and out of pain. I must have passed out and they put me in here so I could regain my strength undisturbed. How long has it been that those two were left alone together? She stood to her feet and walked towards the small window in the room, pulling back the curtains to discover night had fallen and if her memory was correct the sun had still been up when she went down for the count. Oh no! How could I have let this happen? There’s no telling what trouble Nathaniel could have gotten himself into by now! He’s probably been insulting every attempt at our new friend’s kindness, oh I feel awful!

Moving quickly and not bothering to regain her appearance before going to check on the two others in the new household her pale, small hands reached for the doorknob and opened the door as quickly as she could. Tali caught the sound of voices coming from the kitchen and walked towards her destination, opening her mouth to immediately apologize for whatever it was that her older sibling might be doing but the only thing her jaw did when she saw the scene that the kitchen revealed was drop open wider. A wine bottle was on the counter revealing alcohol had been present and as much as she hated the vile drink that was not what had her astounded. There the two of them were, on the floor with Cameron either straddling Nathan or holding him down on the floor while kissing his neck. No. Wait. It was true he was kissing his neck but then her eyes caught sight of the rather large canines that were also quite close, getting ready to strike. That was when she finally happened to find her voice. “ What on earth do you two think you are doing?!” she yelled, her voice sounding shrill and broken from lack of use since she had just awoken.

Nathaniel wasn’t sure what had happened or how it had happened for that matter. He had simply been making his way out of the kitchen and to his own room where he could go to sleep when something had suddenly barreled into him. In a matter of seconds he was on his back being pinned to floor by a grip of iron that held both of his arms. He was stunned at how quick the attack had been and it was quite skillful of this attacker to make his move so unexpected. Maybe it was to be expected though and his mind dulled by the wine simply hadn’t registered the warning signs. All he knew was that he was now in a very compromising position with a rather attractive vampire holding him down. Part of his mind -the foolish and drunk part, most likely- registered this as an intimate act which he almost responded to by moving up to meet the pale lips that were only a short distance away with his own. The other part however had gotten his attention more by screaming out the fact that this was no time to be thinking of this situation as pleasurable. This was dangerous. He noticed how much longer the other’s canines had grown and his eyes were no longer a dull crimson but a fierce red that seemingly pierced his very soul.

Cameron, sto-” the young man began to say but he lost his voice as he felt the lips that he desired brush along the tender skin of his neck. It felt sensational, his skin felt as if it were on fire wherever the feathery touch moved along it. It could almost be described like the blood in his veins was glad this was happening as it rushed to meet it’s fate. His heartbeat accelerated and he felt his pulse quicken as the lips came to a rest just above his pulse. The young man felt his entire body tremble in a delightful sense of pleasure as the man pinning him to the floor murmured softly against his neck. He was letting himself fall into the sweetness of this moment. Falling. Falling into the trap.

A sound escaped his throat as he felt Cameron’s tongue press against his jugular vein and unfortunately the only way he could describe the sound would be by calling it a low moan. He couldn’t be enjoying this! He could absolutely not be attracted to this man. He wasn’t planning on doing what part of him wanted, wished, and prayed he would do. He was going to kill him. Yet, here he was. Not struggling or moving at all. Just like a lamb about to be slaughtered he just stayed perfectly still, mesmerized by everything that was happening. It just couldn‘t be happening. Not like this. “ No…” Nathaniel whispered, giving the only feeble attempt his body would allow him at pulling away from the grip that held him firmly in place. His lavender eyes closed as he waited for what was sure to come.

What on earth do you two think you are doing?!

Natalia! Suddenly, his eyes flashed open and all thoughts came to a focus on one idea. Move. Get away while you still can. The vampire seemed a bit distracted by the younger Sykes sibling’s appearance and outburst but this was all the space he needed to escape. With surprise on his side, he somehow snaked his right arm out of its hold and instantly flung his fist forward in a punch. Surprisingly, it hit and sent Cameron rolling off of him. Not far but at least not he was no longer on top of the nymph and he could get away. Nathan forced himself to his feet, and backed up towards the wall nearest his sister; away from the seductive figure who had almost made a meal out of him. He made sure to still position himself between the two just in case since in his mind it would be worse if his sister was attacked. She wouldn’t have a chance if he had been won over so easily by the immortal’s charms.

Stay back, Natalia. I’m not sure if that punch helped him come to his senses at all.” he mumbled, looking down at his hand. It showed no signs of injury but it hurt like hell. As if he had just slammed it into a cement wall.

[ooc;; Whoa! I was writing this late last night and I forgot to apologize for the light god-moding with the punch. My bad, I'm sorry. : ( /ooc]

◆【 Cameron Blackmar 】◆

Cameron was so close, so very close, to finally satisfying his prolonged hunger for fresh blood. His fangs were less then an inch away from the sweet smelling flesh of Nathaniel's neck when he was interupted by the sound of someone's voice. At first he registered the owner of the voice as someone who was trying to take away his meal and as many know, predators get rather aggressive when eating. So his reaction to the sound was a low, threatening growl but then his crimson eyes looked up to actually see who was disturbing him. A look of surprise and confusion flickered across his face at the sight of the petite girl. "Natalia..." He murmured, her name coming out somewhat slurred due to his large canines getting in the way.

Only moments after he looked up Nathaniel's fist connected with his chest, sending him off the nymph and on to the floor a few feet away. The punch had not injured him in any way but it seemed to get his attention, making him more alert and aware of what was happening around him. His ears picked up the words Nathan had spoke to Natalia and he suddenly felt sick to his stomach as he registered what had just accured. He had almost killed Nathaniel. Well, vampires were capable of drinking from someone without killing them but he was pretty sure the nympth would have ended up dead. His desire for fresh blood would have surely overwhelmed him and in his state he wouldn't have been able to stop himself.

The vampire slowly rose to his feet, gripping the edge of the counter for support. His body ached and his head felt numb but as he slowly gained control back over himself he could feel his canines retracting and his eyes losing their bloodlust, though he knew they may stay red until he was fully recovered. He didn't know if he could actually face the two siblings but he was their master after all. He couldn't just go crawl into bed and sleep for centuries like he felt like doing. He had to at least say something. Cameron finally looked up and over at the two, though his eyes went straight to Natalia's face. He wasn't sure if he could handle looking at Nathaniel quite yet. What the nympth must think of him now, he had no idea.

"Natalia, I am truly sorry you had to witness me in such a state. And of all things, right when you awake from recovering. I'm severly disgusted with myself. It seems I had a bit too much to drink and my instincts started kicking in. Nathaniel happened to move rather quickly in front of me and...I just lost it. I don't blame you or him if you decide not to forgive my actions. I really don't expect you too. Especially Nathaniel..." That was when he forced himself to glance at the nymph, though he could only for a moment before returning his gaze to Natalia. Cameron didn't know what else he could possibly say so he ended at that, letting the girl process his words. His head was pounding now and his mouth was dry, also his hands were shaking slightly as they gripped the counter. But he was so disgusted with himself he decided he deserved it.

[[It's alright xD Mine was worse. Tackling him to the ground and everything...^^;]]

Natalia watched in a stunned silence as the scene happened to change so suddenly right before her. In a matter of seconds her brother had managed to break one of his arms free from its captor and then landed a punch that sent the man holding him down just far enough away so he could escape. Only, instead of explaining himself or what was going on he simply stood in front of her as if the one thing he had to do was stand there and keep her safe. It didn't matter if she had no idea what was happening. All that mattered was that she stayed out of it and out of the fight if there was one.

She felt rather irked by being left out of the loop and not entirely understanding what had happened or what had been about to happen or how what had been about to happen had even happened in the first place! While watching Cameron unsteadily rise back to his feet the girl opened her mouth to yet again demand an explanation but then she stopped as he turned around to look at them. Mainly at her. She probably would have continued if it weren't for the fact that he locked eyes with her and the emotion that she saw in them let her know in advance she should be patient, silent, and listen to whatever he was planning on saying. There was a manner of self-loathing, disgust, weakness, and revulsion within his now dull red eyes. A part of her told herself not to fall for this but she couldn't help it just like she never could. It was as if a wounded puppy had crawled up to her and she was still the little girl willing to do whatever it took to help it.

At first, the emotion Tali felt after listening to his apology towards the both of them was sadness and a bit of sympathy. He seemed so torn up about losing control and he really hadn't meant to hurt anybody. Cameron didn't want to be the monster that he had been forced to act like. However, this soon faded and she began to feel hurt...and angry. Not for the reasons one would think, though. She should have been angry at him for almost killing Nathaniel, her one and only sibling who had always been there for her. That wasn't it.

This man had been a sort of hero or a knight in shining armor to her for all the time that she had known him and even though that was an extremely short time she had once more foolishly allowed herself to grow much too close to another person without fully knowing them. He had saved her from the hell she was living through in Castle Roselyn and had even tolerated her brother enough to keep them together. He had treated her so kindly and her heart had opened up to trusting him. Then, the moment she left the two men in the household alone he had to ruin that childish faith she had in him.

She was angry at the both of them for resorting to alcohol to occupy their time during her unconsciousness. Angry that even though the both of them were older than her they couldn't think of a more mature and well-minded past time. Hurt...because for some reason she couldn't help but think of the look that had been on Nathan's face when she came into the room. There was a strange level of intimacy that she felt had been going on between the two that made her ponder her intelligence. Talia had thought that maybe Cameron may have liked her but how could she imagine that now after finding him in such a comprimising situation with her own sibling?! It had been nothing more than a stupid, idiotic, school-girl crush towards the stranger who had treated her nicely. In seconds, she realized how quiet she had been and that there just may have been tears starting to form in her eyes. That was when she just laughed. Don't you dare cry, Natalia Sykes. What a foolish subject to even think about tearing up about. This is when you need to be strong.

Without warning, she reached out for her brother's hand and grasped it within her own smaller one. He started at the movement but then she sternly said, " Don't move." Nathaniel instantly went still. Her vision of the room fogged over as she went over every one of his fuzzy memories of what exactly happened after she had collapsed. Once she had a personal perspective of the entire incident she let go. Deathly silent, she walked past her brother despite the momentary complaint he made at her movement out of his protection. Moving towards the wine bottle she picked it up gently in her hands and carried it to the sink, then she proceeded to dump the rest of the liquid in the container down the drain. She then placed the empty bottle down rather harshly on the counter making a rather loud thudding sound. " Both of you. Sit." she whispered, knowing they'd both hear her anyways. She waited a few minutes until she heard her brother's footsteps as he finally made his way towards one of the stools to have a seat.

" I really can't believe you two!" Natalia said as she turned to face the both of them. " Nathan! The moment I'm unconscious the only thing you can think of to do is drink to avoid a fight?! Didn't you realize that a fight between you two could have a much worse ending when you both aren't sober and able to tell yourselves to stop. Worse, you had that brilliant idea while you were sober." her words came out harshly as she looked at her brother and he looked as if he wished to say something but he didn't. " You're also to blame, Cameron. Not for being unable to control yourself since you really couldn't help that after he broke the glass and started bleeding but for not thinking of a better occupation. I mean, really, neither of you intelligent individuals could see the outcome?!"

Letting out a deep breath she then turned back to her brother and said, " You though, Nathan. That's the most disappointing. Don't you remember what happened the last time you-"

" Shut up!"

The younger sibling flinched at the sudden outburst he gave and she felt almost all of the confidence drain out of her when he did. All in all, he was still much more intimidating than she could ever hope to become. Silently, Nathaniel rose to his feet and stalked out of the room. For the second time that night she listened as the front door opened and slammed shut as he ran away. That was when she broke down and realized she couldn't bother to say anymore. Covering her face with her hands for a moment she gave herself time to breathe and regain her composure since she didn't want to seem or feel weak. " I-I do forgive you, Cameron. It wasn't your fault or-or his. God, why didn't I say that before he ran out..." she said softly, murmuring against her hands.

[ooc;; OHMYGOD THIS TURNED OUT LONG. Hehe, I guess since I hadn't used her for awhile I had a lot on my mind that I needed her to say. ^^; Don't read it all if you don't want to. Most of it is just giving in depth descriptions. Man, now my Nathaniel post is going to look significantly lame compared to this one. /ooc]

Nathaniel couldn't believe how disgraced he felt and what a large blow his pride had taken. He had let himself not only get so close to being killed by the other man in the room but during that near-death experience he had let himself have feelings for him as well. It was amazing how just a few glasses of wine could change hate towards someone into a longing desire for their touch, voice, and lips. It was ridiculous, how real the emotions had seemingly been. Absolutely preposterous that he had actually begun to think that he felt that way towards the vampire and that he may feel the same towards him. He didn't know if he'd be able to live down the moment of his weakness. The moment he had almost let himself be drained of life just because his body had been enjoying what it got to experience before hand. When he was younger he had been trained to not let wants or needs pin him down since that could and would lead to a person's destruction. That lesson had proved all too true that very evening. Never again.

He listened silently, carefully watching Cameron with narrowed indigo eyes that held an untrusting look in them all the way into their very core. When the leech finally got the nerve to actually look at him the young man tried to decipher what he was feeling by examining whatever emotion may have been in his crimson orbs but he looked away too soon for him to do so. That was when he heard a surprising noise come from behind him. For a moment, he turned to look at Natalia to find her giving a rather weak attempt at laughter. What she was laughing about he had no idea and the alienness of her response made him off guard. She managed to startle him when she grabbed his hand. The nymph stayed perfectly still as she browsed through everything she had missed and he only let himself relax his tense shoulders after she let go.

Nathan watched as she made her way towards the wine botle and reached a hand out to stop her since she would have to near Cameron to do so but he stopped himself since there was something that seemed off about her. The way she was carrying herself reminded him of their mother when she grew serious. She quieted and her face would grow emotionless and hard to decipher unlike any other time. The only sound in the room for a brief moment was the sound of the liquor being wasted down the drain, swallowed away by something that couldn't even enjoy it. When his sister spoke up once more his eyes immediately went to the seat next to the parasite's and then to look at said parasite. He didn't want to be in the same room as him. Much less, sit next to the man. The quiet dragged on though and he honestly couldn't handle the suspense so he made his way towards the stool and seated himself.

That was when it happened. Natalia turned around and actually had somehow gotten the nerve or had grown angry enough to begin yelling at them for what they had done. There wasn't a simple or quietly mumbled forgiveness. It was a rather harsh lecture given by the most unlikely character to do so! The words she spoke stung him and his hands clenched into fists as his pride -no- as he took hit after hit. He accepted the punishment entirely until she began to bring up the last time something like this had happened. That was when he had to stop her. " Shut up!" he yelled, drowning out her volume with his own much louder and vibrant voice. He had never before talked to her like that and she had never talked to him like this. He couldn't take the hurt look she had on her face or being in the room for one more second.

Nathaniel turned and headed for the front door. Once outside, he simply ran towards what looked like a thinly spread out forest in the distance. He had no idea where he was going but he knew he had to get as far away as he could for awhile. He couldn't spend the night in the house with them -with him- or he would go insane. Sooner than expected he found himself surrounded by trees and the ground was covered in leaves and branches that cracked under his footsteps. Only then did he let himself fall to his knees to rest. His body shuddered as he struggled to take in each breath. He hadn't been paying attention to how long or how fast he had made himself run but obviously he had pushed the limit a bit too far. His legs ached and his sides hurt. He just let himself lay there for a long time while he slowly and calmly tried to catch his breath.

Cameron listened patiently as Natalia went on about how he should be mad at her and that she shouldn't have been yelling at him and Nathaniel. "You have it all wrong, dear. It was a very brave thing to do, standing up to us like that. If you hadn't said anything then I may have not really realized how unresponsible I had acted. Besides, I deserved to be scolded at." He smiled a half smile, though it didn't reach his eyes. Seeing the girl all torn up about what she had done didn't make the vampire feel any better about himself. She shouldn't have to suffer because of what had happened between the two young men.

As Natalia spoke again, the vampire nodded slowly. "I suppose you're right..." He mumbled, watching as she began collecting the dishes. "Goodnight, Natalia." He said softly, though the water was already running in the sink so he doubted she had heard him. Cameron turned and trudged out of the kitchen, his whole body aching as he did so. Each step he took made pain shoot through his body. Once again he decided he deserved it. He was still furious with himself and as he continued thinking about it the angrier he became.

Once inside his bedroom he closed the door behind him and just stood there for a few moments, wallowing in his anger. Before he knew what he was doing, his fist shot out and punched into the wall. "Damn it..." The vampire growled at himself as he just stood there with his fist in the wall, panting slightly. After about a minute or so he roughly pulled his hand out of the wall, not bothering to look at the dammage, if there was any, and sauntered over to his bed. He removed his tank and chucked it across the room before actually climbing into bed. Cameron didn't know how long he laid there, staring up at the ceiling, but eventually his eyes slid shut and he fell into an uncomfortable sleep.
