Alec shook his head. "I can't make you do that Hazel. I'll just have to...change."

"You're not making me do anything, Alec," Hazel said, gently taking his hand in both of hers and then looking up at him. "We're going to get through this. We're going to change the world."

Alec gently squeezed her hands, feeling their warmth, their small callouses that even city life hadn't been able to stamp out. "Alright."

Iulus stirred, moaning softly before he gained consciousness. The light shone dimly off of Lynn's hair, and Iulus rubbed his eyes before gently disentangling himself from her and dressing as silently as he could. He headed out of the tent, towards the longhouse.

Hazel smiled up at him softly, and then gave him a slow, warm kiss. "We'll be alright," she promised him, softly.

Lynn curled up in the warmth where Iulus had been lying and slept on, apparently worn out from all the excitement of the past few days.
