Galena sighed as a whole bunch of servants came in to get her ready for the ball. She never went to these things but she didn't have a choice since her father had ordered it.

-Switch to Vald-

Vald rose an eyebrow in question at her words. "And why do you say that?"

-Fastforward three months-

The king had his guards repeatedly beat the faerie king the entire he was there. The warlock that the king worked with constantly had been working on trying to mix his blood so that it could be injected into a human donor without the human becoming a faerie. So far it had not worked just yet but the king had been told that they were getting closer.


-switch to Irial-

Irial had been growing weaker and weaker the longer he was being kept here. He not only was being drained of his blood but he was also drained of his magic. He had stopped healing about a month ago and was covered in bruises and cuts everywhere.

-switch to Devlin-

Devlin had talked his family into allowing the faeries that had gotten away from the attack into staying with them but the faeries were slowly losing the will to live without their king. Though they got their powers from the earth they got most of it from their King. Without him they were going to wilt and die.

Galena had to follow the order of guarding the faerie king. however, over the past couple of weeks, she began to take care of his wounds and give him better food.

-Switch Ria-

Ria had been kept in the cell and awaited what her fate would be. Everything had healed except for the brand.

Irial had just been returned to his cell and collapsed against the wall sliding down it not being able to stand from the amount of blood they had taken. He was once more in covered in his blood. He just hoped that Galena wouldn't come over again. He hated when she came to clean his wounds.

-switch to Brody-

Brody had talked his father out of killing Ria and talked him into releasing her but under certain conditions. She would be under constant watch as well and if they saw her do anything that they deemed wrong she would be punished once more.

Galena knew he didn't like her doing it but she didn't care. She had talked to Megan and learned more about medical stuff. She carried to him a tray of food that would help him regain his blood faster. She walked in the cell and sat it down before once more walking out. She then same back with a bucket of hot water and a rag before setting it down as well. She didn't say anything the entire time.

Irial stared down at the food and then at the water. He threw the food away from him refusing to eat anything that they made him. "Why do you keep coming back. Do you like being verbally abused?" He paused before drawing his breath even though it hurt him. "Oh wait I forgot you must enjoy it because you continue to stay here with your father even though he not only mentally abuses but physically as well. I've heard he even has you raped.. quite sad if I do say so myself."

Galena sighed lightly and cleaned up the food he threw and put it on the plate. She walked over to the water and dipped the clothe into the warm water. She ignored his words. Nothing she could really say since what he said was true, other than the her liking it part. She ran the clothe gently over his body in order to clean him without hurting him too much.

Irial winced as she ran the cloth over him. The guards had made the mistake of not binding his hands. He grabbed her and threw her on the ground before getting on top of her and started choking her. He was trying to forget about the pain that was shooting through him even moving so quickly.

-switch to Devlin-

Devlin had found out that the humans had Irial and were keeping him under constant guard and were torturing him. He had asked Grant to lower the wards around the kingdom just long enough for him to slip in and get Irial out. The only thing he had to was get another blood sample from the princess. He hadn't wanted to anyone to know what he was doing but he needed Grant's help.

Galena winced as he choked her but her hands that were spread to the side made no movement to stop him.

-Switch to Megan-

Megan was waiting outside the building they kept the prisoners, thinking over what Galena had ordered her to do. Galena wanted her to sneak in a heal and release the faerie king after she leaves them. She made sure to make it an order so that Galena was the only one to get in trouble for it and she didn't understand why she was doing this.

Irial had continued to choke her for a few moments before he noticed that she wasn't even fighting back. He slightly lessened his grip on her neck as he leaned down staring down at her with malice in his eyes, "Do you want to die so much?"

-switch to Devlin-

Devlin got to okay from Grant saying that the wards were lowered but only for him. He thanked him and quickly headed to the human kingdom and sneaking in. He easily found the building where he was being kept before he slowed his pace when he noticed who was standing outside of it. He had to figure a way to get around her without starting a scene.

Galena coughed when he lessened his grip and wheezed slightly. She glanced up at him at his question. "I don't care." It's not like she was really living. So whether she died or not it didn't matter. The demon in her is the only thing wanting her to continue to keep on living.

-Switch to Megan-

Megan glanced up as she felt the vampire. She didn't say anything as she walked into the building and began descending to the cells.

Irial shoved off of her and forced himself off of her and leaned against the wall still bleeding out. He hated how much that had weakened him even further. He didn't understand this girl. One second she was trying to kill him and the next she wasn't fighting him when he was the one trying to kill her. "You humans..are insane.."

-switch to Devlin-

Devlin followed after the human before over taking her shoving her out of the way. He found the cell that they were keeping Irial in. He quickly dealt with the guards outside of it before grabbing the keys off of them and opening the cell.

Galena cursed under breathe as she saw the vampire. She couldn't ignore the order to not let him get away when she was there. She glanced over at Megan and sighed in relief as she felt herself slip unconscious.

-Switch to Megan-

Megan frowned when she pushed out of the way and then deepened when she saw Galena. She remembered that Galena said if she tried to stop her to knock her out. She threw a tranquilizer at her and caught her as she was falling to the ground. She grimaced at what she was doing. She walked up to the man she was suppose to release and hesitantly placed a hand on him and began healing his wounds.

Irial's eyes widened at what was happening. His eyes widened further as he felt his wounds being healed. He glanced over at Devlin as he saw him cut Galena and collect it in a vial. He rose an eyebrow in question at him but said nothing. He stood up as soon as he felt he could and glanced at the unconscious Galena and then at the other girl. He didn't understand what was going on and didn't have the chance to say anything before he was dragged out of the room and then building and kingdom. He tried to talk to Devlin as they walked but Devlin refused to say anything till they got back to his kingdom.

Galena woke up sometime later to see Megan sitting there and waiting for her. She was thankful that she didn't ask any questions. She ordered Megan to go back and not saying anything. She would take the fall alone. She walked to where her father was. She still had hand prints around her neck and the cut, which she found out from Megan was the vampires doing.
