Tilting his head slightly, Darin watched closely as the change of emotions play across her face as she approached his slowly. Knowing from experience, that her mind was working on something. The teasing note in her voice gave it away when a single finger of hers found it's way to a loop on his jeans. Playing it off like her actions were doing nothing to him, he rolled his eyes at her before simply stating, "It doesn't." Why would it? She was a ******** interest to him. A steady ******** would be a better choice of words. A real good one at that. She knew exactly what turned him on and off in a second. Which is one of the main reasons he kept going back to her. To bad she didn't meet him first, then things would be a way lot different. Who knows what could have happened then? That was the past and here he was, messing around with her. Probably not under the best circumstances, but he still got what he wanted. Lucille in his bed.

Lucille was mad? At him? That's why she didn't take his calls? He was pretty sure he didn't do jack s**t to her. Besides, he barely saw her around school if not passing by her in lunch. So what the hell she had to be mad for? He called her and she didn't answer. It had to be one of her little games. He was starting to think that Lucille wanted to change up the roles were they weren't fifty-fifty anymore in wanting the sex. Instead, he will become the one that wanted her body, while she put him off to burn slowly. Basically making him sprung. That was not going to happen in his book. Yeah, the sex is good and all, but he wasn't about to become hooked on her of all people. Especially if she was his best friends ex-girl. He already crossed the line by ******** her. That all together was an alternative universe that had to be playing in her head.

Feeling her finger travel lower, Darin straightened up against the black counter tops when Lucille cupped him, before she tugged on his bottom lip. A leisured chuckle left him, as his hands found its way around her thin waist to grope the small mound on her back. Returning her kisses, their play continued until Lucille pulled away from him, after succeeding in getting what she wanted, to make him hot. Plan worked. 'God damn it'. To bad they were not in the appropriate place or else he would laid her flat on the kitchen floor to finish what she purposely started. "You would like that, huh?" he retorted, answering a question with a question. 'Yeah, she would.' In all honesty, he could admit that he kind of did "miss her". Who wouldn't when she just pulled something like that? But he wasn't about to tell her that. Like he solely stated before, she knew just how to make him click and apparently she wasn't afraid to do it with her good friend in the bathroom.

Rubbing his lip with the pad of his thumb, Darn cleared his throat and nonchalantly adjusted his pants. Good thing he didn't invest in skinny jeans like his brother did or else, they both would take notice in what was doing between his legs. All thanks to Lucille. Little b***h!

“The flower that smells the sweetest is shy and lowly.”

Running her hands under the water faucet, she examined her complexion before shutting it off. A quick dry of her hands, and she took down the hair tie letting her hair fall down. She caressed her hair fixing it up properly, and smoothed various areas of her face. Possibly her friends wanted to do something, so why not get ready if she was asked to be dragged along somewhere? Hopefully Lu wouldn't assume the worst in the present situation; I mean it was pretty shady. No, if Lu thought for one second that her and Darin had done something, she would have pulled her into the bathroom for a talk. Oh well, she told her friends everyday that she had no interest in having a boyfriend or anything of the sort. So it was clearer than day they were just hanging out.

She began to ponder about Darin and what he thought of her. I mean, he was adorably handsome in all, but was he really into her? Why did it matter? She had promised herself not to let boy drama affect her life. Even if she even considered getting to know him better, she would be faced with Darryl. Darryl was family, and turning against family to pursue anything with a boy sounded ridiculous. It would ultimately trigger another confrontation and she would be trapped in the middle. She then agreed not to think about it; things happened for a reason, and karma would be on her side.

Being a few minutes busy in the bathroom, she ultimately walked out turning the corner towards the kitchen where Darin and Lu were staying. Clueless, she smiled sincerely while entering the kitchen. "Sorry bout that.So... Is everything okay with you Lu?" She asked seeing as her face edgy as well as Darin's. Did she miss something? Her phone sounded off before she would ask what was wrong, and she dismissed herself to the living room. Her iphone vibrated noisily as she rushed to answer it. Before she slid the phone to answer, she read the name Reggie on the caller I.D. What did he want? Hopefully he did not want to come over or else she would be screwed. If he asked, she would say she was stuck at the dance studio for practice.

Hello?
Hey hermana, what you doing?
Oh nothing really. Out. What you up to? How you been?
Nothing, just at the crib. I been straight, ya know. Was hopin' you wanted to do something.
Yeah, Uh...Like what?
I'm not sure. I could scoop you up and we could go get into somethin?
Uhm, lemme call you back.

Shutting her phone closed she sighed quietly; that feeling one get's when backstabbing another was now present. Placing her phone back down, she walked back in the kitchen sitting one of the bar stools. "Are you guys good? I'm sorry my place is really boring." She laughed.

Lucille only offered Darin a glance and coy smile as an answer to his "question". If he wanted to play games, Lu could play games. She would have bet money he would have liked to hear her say so though. Every boy liked their ego stroked, amoung other things. Slice of bacon sticking from her mouth while she turned on the stove again to make herself something to eat, Lucille listened to Jasmynn's footsteps come closer. Mischievously, she reached out a quick hand without looking and grabbed Darin's heat, giving another tease moments before her friends face showed. Idle hands busy making breakfast again, she turned to look at Jazz over her shoulder when she was addressed. Her friend was always so thoughtful, a nice girl in essence. Too bad Lu herself didn't have the kindness to return. "Hmm? Oh yea, nothing to worry about. I left before it got serious...thanks." She meant the thanks sincerely though. No one ever really asked her about herself except for an unmentionable person and possibly Selina.

Jazz conveniently disappeared once more, this time at her phones call. Smiling wickedly now, Lucille left the pan to do it's busy work, seeing the opportune moment to launch another assault on Darin's restraint. It wasn't as if he didn't like her attentions. His little buddy sure did. She was more than sure it loved every tender embrace it and the young temptress' fingers shared time after time.

"DJ..." The vixen cooed to get the teen boys attentions, wrapping her arms about his strong neck. Standing on the tips of her toes, her lips eagerly greeted his again with a much gentler warmth than her last. Her tongue edged his bottom lip, then plunged between the soft folds, tasting the hint of orange in his mouth. How wickedly delicious it was. She could practically taste the passion between them. The strong physical attraction they had hung in the air, thick, like smoke from a wild fire. Having someone in the next room, moments away from catching your deed was the most titillating experience, to her. It only added to her desire to tangle with Darin's person. If only Jazz was doing something that required her to be in there longer. Lu would love to be spread across the counter, stifling her cries by putting her mouth in the crook of his neck while Darin took her for himself. Damn, teasing Darin was also teasing herself. Her restraint was in the beginnings of wearing very thin.

A thigh pressed between his legs as her hands guided his to her chest, that unstoppable urge coming along. It always did in dire moments like these. It was what drove her to do the things she did to make her body happy. Told her to be what she was; human. She paid close attention to Jassmyn's conversation as she plucked her puppets strings. While it was fun to nearly get caught, getting caught wasn't the exact option. The other girls conversation came to a halt which meant unfortunately, the fun must come to a halt as well. Her tongue snaked out to lick Darin's top lip on last time before her body parted from his. Her eyes never met his after she went back to cooking her meal. Her form however payed every bit of attention to him, this time his feeling being the ghost to her.

Jazz returned and sat down behind the counter perched on a bar stool. Her concern showed it's annoying head once again. How could the girl sand to be so nice all the time? Lucille rolled her eyes before turning around, spatula in hand. "Christ, Jazz. It's not boring. If it was boring, I'd tell you. You know I'd tell you. If Darin got bored he'd tell you too, right?" The brunette looked to her trinket of a boy with a devilish glint in her eye and the faintest smirk on her lips. "You aren't bored are you, Bastiaan?"

Hearing Jasmynn footsteps as they inched closer to the kitchen, Darin cut Lucille a warning glare that stated, 'Enough of that'. For the time being that is. It was both the wrong time and place to be doing stuff like that. In the end, she would cease if she had any respect for her friend. Not that she listened though.

Before he could smack her hand away, Lucille reached out and grabbed his junk, just as a moment later Jasmynn walked back into the kitchen. Playing off a mock cough, he grabbed the orange juice that was still sitting on the counter and polished off the rest. Soothing his dry throat and nerves. Exchanging a quick smile with Jasmynn that showed everything was fine, he sighed with relief when she left again to answer her phone that rung. Good, now he could take a breather and get his "package" back in order.

The soft murmur of Lu calling his name gained his awareness as Darin turned to face her once more, when she all but jumped on him. Her arms draping around his neck, he started to protest when she ended it with a heated kiss. Peeking to see what Jasmynn was doing, he kissed her back with as much force, tangling his tongue with hers as she lured his hands to cup her breast for a feel. Squeezing a little, the leg pressing between his did a lot to his mood. Causing his blood to boil and spill over only to rush down where immediate attention needed tending to. One hand broke free from her bust, to slide around and grip her behind where he then glued her to him, so that she could feel the result of her efforts pressing against her pelvis.

When she broke apart once more, Darin literally had to bite down on his bottom lip to hold back a curse. ******** that. Their little thing, was not going to be over that quick. Even after Jasmynn entered the room to take a seat on the bar stool, it was just on pause. Him and Lucille where going to finish their little exploit later on at the hotel. Guaranteed. He knew from the look on her face that she was just as hot as he was. Her onslaught on him managed to backfire and if she refused his call again, they were going to be hell to pay.

Before anything should happen, or better yet Jasmynn suspect something, Darin came to the conclusion that he had to find a way out of the apartment. But yet again, Lucille spoiled that when she directed Jas' question towards him. "What? Naw, I'm good." Okay, she wanted to play. "Sure you're alright?" He asked Lucille. "You're looking kind of flustered. Could be the heat, what do you think Jasmynn? Think she needs to take a breather and lie down?" What he meant was for her to go home so that he could get back to Jasmynn without her intervening anymore. He came over to her place to chill and get to know her a little better, not to be molested in the kitchen.

The ringing of his phone, gave Darin hope when he read the text from Vinny, who asked where the hell he was. Maybe his plan of escape wasn't spoiled after all. If anything, Derek probably brought a stash along to smoke and wanted to use his office as a hot box. Any other time he would have gave his friend a hell no, but from the way he was feeling, he needed a certain herb to cool down.

Shooting Vinny a text back, Darin replaced his phone and glanced up at Jasmynn. "Yeah, that was work. I got to jet, sorry." Starting for the door, he paused halfway before facing her. "Take a walk with me. I'll give you a better answer to that question you asked me before." Referring about his plans for the night, he raised a brow at her before bidding her friend a goodbye. "Uh, Lucille. Good to see you."

Bewilderment had struck her on the top of the head. Jasmynn wasn't stupid, and she sensed the obvious sarcasm in both their voices. The smirk from Lu's lips was questionable along with the mockery in Darin's voice. They must have both known something she didn't. What did she miss? Hopefully when she had the opportunity to be alone with one of them, she would be given the "story" so to speak. As odd as if was trying to figure out what exactly the issue between them was, it was also noticeable that they still were allured to one another. Surely if they hated each other, Lu would have walked out or vice versa immediately. There was a concealed secret between them that she was interested in questioning. For now, she'd keep quiet. Why was it her business?

With her hand proping her head while she watched them literally go back in forth, eventually her thoughts ceased. It would be a meaningless effort and rather rude to question the peculiarity between them. Her satisfied smile had returned as Lu responded with consistent cynicism she was use to hearing; it was just her personality. "Yeah your right. I was just making sure ya know." Her eyes schemed over Darin as Lu had questioned him. A playful grin was still present on her full lips. She couldn't help but laugh the more they spoke to one another.

As Darin's phone rang, Jas stood up walking over to change the channel to mTV music videos. Asking Darin if he was finished, she grabbed the plate from his setting placing it in the sink. Automatically she washed it along with a few others thoroughly before placing them in the dishwasher. As Darin had said he had to go, the once cheerful flame in her spirit had felt as if it went out. Well damn, just as they were getting to talk he had to go. Maybe things were awkward for him? Something was obviously odd about the whole situation. " That's alright." She said in a monotone. Walking him out the door, he had paused with another comment. Suddenly that flame was lit again; He still wanted to see her. Another smile appeared on her face as she nodded walking with him to the door. She exaggerated each of her steps to give him time to speak; obviously this was a private matter. Or it seemed like it was to her. Turning for a quick second she called out to Lu, "Hey I'll be right back! help yourself." Shutting the door completely, she walked out following closely by Darin's side. "Yeah I didn't know she was coming over, she just swooped by! but I guess it's no big deal, she's one of my best friends... So...what's up?"

Walking outside to the car with Jasmynn beside him, Darin slowed down his pace so that she could keep up. When she started to talk about Lucille, he shook his head, a grin tugging at the corner of his lips. "Its no problem. Lucille is...I don't know. I barely spoke to her when she was dating Omris, so yeah. I don't know her that well." Okay, that was a lie. He knew Lucille all too well and her anatomy was being part of it.

The notion that Jasmynn was in fact best friends with Lucille was kind of weird as well as challenging. First off, he didn't know that she had friends who were basically the complete opposite of her. The two were an odd pair, but so was him and Omris. If he even thought about wanting to pursue Jasmynn, he had no doubt that she will try and intervene in order to stop it before it even happened. So in the end, he had to be slick with it on both sides. Something he could do with ease. "Yeah, so about tonight." Darin began, glimpsing at her from the corner of his eye. " Seeing how you like to dance and all. You like reggae music?" Which is in his book, if a female can keep a good beat, that meant thirty points for them. The other seventy varied on a mental chart he kept stored in his brain. After all, he didn't just go for any girl. They had to catch his eye beyond the looks and so far, she was in the running.

As they neared his car, Darin leaned against the driver side to face her. Not quite ready to leave at the moment. With Lu still inside, they can now have a small talk in private before he decided to leave. "Check it. If you're up for it, how about you come to the club tonight, say around 10? That way we can get to know each other a bit better before all hell break loose." Wetting his lips, he smirked. Remembering the little fact that he made her nervous somehow. Second thought, lets confirm that shall we? "Jasmynn, do I make you nervous? I mean if I do and all, it's kind of cute" Darin? Tsk, tsk. "Don't worry, you can tell me. I won't rub it in." Much that is. With that knowledge, he could use it for his advantage later on. Like tonight perhaps.

Ignoring the ringing in his pants, Darin ended the call with the simple press of a button before switching his attention back to Jasmynn. His friends could goddamn wait. Right now, he was macking and they were not about to c**k block him. Them nor the sun that was trying it's hardest to burn a tan into his skin. Good thing he parked his Aston in the shade. "Oh, yeah. I meant to ask you something. You won't get mad right? I'm not trying to cause no problems, just wondering you know? How is that cousin of yours?" After the altercation, he never once saw Darryl around the school. Not even in class. When Mrs. Wright realized that he left without her consent, the principal was livid! If her cousin was smart, his best bet was to try and make amends with her or else he won't be graduating from no high school in the area. Mrs. Wright was that devious to make it happen. Aside from his messed up hand, Darin had no more problems with buddy. The s**t that piled up between them over the years came to the surface in that fight. In his opinion ending the beef, until one of them decides to step out of line. Hopefully, neither of them did because if he injured another limb, stopping was not going to be an option. It was bad enough his hand restricted him from doing a lot of activities that he loved. You try dancing in the studio or playing ball and see if that crap didn't hurt more worse than before.

Recalling that she had company in her apartment, Darin straighten up to his full height of six feet even and nodded to her. "Look at that, I'm keeping you from your friend. On that note Imma let you go. But before that, can I get a hug?" Shrugging his shoulders, a brow lifted as a smile came forth. "If that's alright?"

Following closely beside him, she kept her attentive gaze on him as he spoke. So he claimed he didn't know Lucille that well; oh okay, well then that could have explained what had happened back up at her apartment. Although there was still something missing; bad or good, she would find out one way or the other. Lucille loved talking, and someone was bound to let her in on Darin's background. Time requires patience.

"Yeah, so tonight..." she repeated. Hopefully he had already had something in mind, because she had run out of ideas weekends ago. It seemed everything that could be done in town was already accomplished. Her eyes lit up to his questioning. "I love reggae music. Especially mixes, like capelton and sizzla mixes." Jas was familiar with all type of music growing up. Classical. Rock. Hip Hop. Rap...She had danced to all sorts of music in the studio.

She nodded her head blissfully as he offered a club invitation. Well perfect, she had the opportunity to dress nice for the occasion, this time . No interruptions, no forced alcohol consumption, or embarrassing barriers. "Yeah, I'd love to." Her eyes were caught on his stunning car he had leaned against. Wow, a Aston Martin? Was this kid forreal? How envious she was of it's beautiful contour and color. She could stare at it for hours admiring it's design and beauty. Cars were always an interesting conversation, especially growing up with boys. Her eyes darted back to him as he had asked her an awkward question; The type that makes you want to choke on your words or stare like a idiot for countless seconds. Did he really ask if she was nervous? Was she acting anxious? She began to get more tense from his question ultimately laughing out-loud. Oh god. Not the embarrassed laugh.....Too late. Like a deer caught in headlights, her eyes grew big for a moment before rolling her eyes. "No! Of course not! Well....I mean sometimes, cause w-we really never got to know each other... So...yeah." Wow, that made a whole lot of damn sense; another point for Jasmynn.

His next question had brought relief to her nerves. The warm rush around her checks had finally began to disappear. Shifting her position to be more comfortable , she looked up at him curiously. "O-Oh. Darryl? Yeah, he's...he's pretty good ya know. He came over last night and I cooked pasta for him...But yeah... He just refuses to go to school till s**t settles. I'm not sure how's he handled everything." A little dumbfounded by him asking about his cousin, she had realized he was being mature. Well that was sure a plus. As he stood up, she recognized the huge height difference between them for the first time. He was pretty damn tall. "Oh...Yeah a hug would be alright." A pleased grin appeared on her lips as she went in to hug him wrapping her arms around him. She would have went for the neck but that was more of a sensual hug and that could turn out awkward. No more embarrassing moments, please. She happily embraced him for a few seconds before pulling away and saying goodbye. Walking back she turned to wave. "Bye! Text me later." Her heart almost fluttered as she walked back up to her apartment. Just thinking about Darin made her smile to herself.

She went into her apartment, walking to where Lucille was standing; a smile still present on her lips. "Yeah so anyways, That whole thing was kinda funny. What's up with you and Darin?" For the first time, Jas had cut to the chase. She was interested in what Lucille would have to say about Darin. "I mean. Was he rude to you or something? Like what's up?" Jas hadn't even realized how much she was questioning her friend until she had spit out all her words.

"Oh I'm fine, just dandy but you're right it is a bit hot in here. Maybe you could, uh, close your mouth? I would like that fresh of breath air." A scoff left her before she returned her attentions to the pan, yet again. Darin really thought he could play her game, Poor delusional boy. Lucille set a plate for herself and poured a tall glass of orange juice once her eggs were finished. Setting the plate down on the counter top, she listened to the two hold their own conversation now. It felt something like the two girls were dueling over the boys attentions. Too bad Lucille would be the ultimate winner. Sure DJ payed little bits of attention to her friend, which Lucille didn't mind. For now, under her watchful eye it was completely harmless because she'd be able to intervene before Darin's charms started working their way through Jasmynn's very pores. When things started heating up between the two, Lu knew who he'd be yearning for in the end. Sorry to say, Jasmynn, Lucille doesn't see you as a threat to her exploits whatsoever. If you need to see the good in it, the girl was protecting her friend from heart break. Darin had a wild manner of reaching deep into a person, wrapping his fingers about their humanity, twisting and turning it into something he could ******** then leave devoid of any the false emotion you'd shared with him between the sheets. She had to wonder if he knew what he was doing, if he was really that much of a player or if he was really that good looking. The thought ended with the belief; God was cruel in blessing the teen with the devils charisma.

Darin offered his "good-bye". Lucille turned from her plate of food looking over her shoulder, feigning an interest. "Sure, whatever..." He wanted to be alone with Jasmynn? It was all rainbows to her, he could play his sport and do what he liked but he would not get what he wanted from her friend, not while Ms. Hopkins' chest still thumped with a heart beat, buddy boy.

Lucille enjoyed the still silence of the lone apartment, not bothering to worry her head over what Darin was feeding to her naive ally. The barely audible hum of the refrigerator near put her in a trance, drawing her mind out into tangent up until the front door slammed and her confidante's questions came blasting though the tranquility. Lu looked to her eyebrows furrowing at the assault. Holding her hand up so the girl could shut her trap she finished the mouthful of bacon before answering.
"What the hell? Slow down Jazz, cripes!" What the ******** do you need to know all that s**t for, nosy b***h? She thought off-handedly. Buying time for her lie with a sip of the juice she continued on.
"There is no, 'between Darin and I', chick. He's an a*****e. I just kinda know him because I used to date his friend. We hung out for a bit but he just ain't my type really. Like a friend way. That's all." That's total crap and you know it, Lu. Her eyes searched Jasmynn's face, spying the smile. Oh ********, she wants info on him.
"What? You want his d**k or something? You want to know more about him? Jasmynn was right, Lucille did like to talk. Alright then. He's a schmuck, a total loser in fancy cloths. Yes he is nice and all that stuff, but in the end it's not worth a nickel. I've seen lots of girls come and go with him when I was with Om-- ,that guy, and I saw a lot of things, you know?" Lucille's hand reached out to touch her friends shoulder, hoping to distract her from the name slip-up, not knowing Darin already let the information go. You're too good for him. Go get a real man. Trust me. If only you could take your own advice, sweetheart Lucille gave a half-hearted smile. Score one for Lucille the Liar. Damn she was good.

Jas leaned attentively on her kitchen bar top as she waited for an immediate answer. Without even acknowledging it, she was caught up in this boy. He seemed all together pleasant, polite, handsome...What more could a girl ask for? But looks can be decieving and she was positive that Lucille had dirt on him. The smile she once had entered in with had diminished quickly as she began to think of all the bad things he could be. A player, jerk off...The type to "hit it and quit it"...Oh how devastating it would be to find out all of that.

A quick laugh left her lips as had accidentally bombarded Lucille. "My bad my bad, I'm just curious. He seems all around nice, ya know charming." As Lucille responded with almost all negative feedback, the little dreams she had imagined quickly shattered. Well ********, of course; way to jinx yourself. Her eyes were now more curious than before searching for answers beneath her friend's chamber of secrets ; aka gossip central. " Oh okay. I just thought you guys had maybe dated before...But wow really...An a*****e? He didn't seem like it. He was very nice to me." Her eyes went into a trance as she retraced back to her and Darin's time alone. He didn't seem demanding, arrogant or rude at all. No "let's go to your bedroom" kind of talk, nothing. But if Lucille claimed the opposite, she would believe he was just putting on an act.

"No no no...Of course I don't want his... d**k ... I just want to know more about him. It seems you and Selina talk about alotta people, I just can't remember." In other words, she had no clue who or what they talk about 90% of the time. As Lucille continue to pile on the dirt, it was more than clear than before. Exactly why she didn't trust men in the first place. Too damn deceiving, and too damn good at lying. "Thanks Lu, Like forreal. I mean he was playing off a nice kind of person, but I guess I can see that player charm now." A sigh left her lips as she was noticeably disappointed. " Oh well. Your right. So you think he was jus being nice to get with me? Like you know what I mean by that." Luckily she played hard to get, so even if sex was offered to her it would be quickly denied. "Geez...Anyways..." She said walking into the living room to once again change the channel.

"So Selina is suppose to come back tonight, possibly . She wants to go clubbin again. I don't know. What do you think we should do? I've run out of ideas." Clearing her throat, she squinted her eyes to read the notification of channels.

You thought I what[/]?!
The brunette near choked on a morsel of eggs when Jassmyn mentioned the prospect of the two having dated. No no no, wrong as stealing candy from a baby! "No way in hell would I date that sleaze! I dated his friend! Remember that!" She couldn't resit lightly punching her bicep, just for saying something silly as that. Darin and her date. That's like a lioness adopting a baby gazelle.

Jazz kept on talking, imploring Lucille to listen and pick out the bits of fascination in her tone of voice. God, she actually likes him... The thank you came finally.
You're very ******** welcome, chick. Lucille placed her fork down like she was a lawyer laying her case to rest. Jasmynn seemed to have enough guy drama before. Lu didn't know the extent of it but the girl had mentioned something of it before. She didn't want her to get mixed up in the Darin drama in the end. Who knew if she was strong enough to ignore all the bullshit and just enjoy things for what they were like Lu. Who knew if she was strong enough to lie to herself everyday.

Feeling a twinge of guilt while polishing off her juice, Lucille got the sudden urge to make her friend feel better. She just had the slight feeling that she needed reassuring while she flipped the channels. Jazz didn't know how to remove her feelings from things in Lucille's opinion. "You know, it's not your fault. I mean, falling for him....He kind of has that way about him. He is nice in essence, maybe. You're right about that but he's not worth it. Really." Placing her dishes in the sink, leaving a silence while she regained her hard exterior, she then joined Jazz in the living room.
"Wait, Selina was out of town? s**t, here I thought you bitches weer exluding the white girl from something...bitches." Running her tongue through her cheeking thinking, she plopped into the couch on her side. "Well do we need to go clubbing? I mean we're going to Miami for Spring Bling right? I am. I don't want to get partied out. Maybe we can stay in and prank call someone or eat pizza get fat, whateva." Lucille really didn't want to go out because she just had the faintest idea, Selina would want to go back to mansion and today was Darin's work day. Speaking of which she should arrange something with him later, the twitch still hadn't disappeared.

[[no worries about what to do because I'm going to time skip soon, just need to accomplish something]]

At the local grocery, Omris, palmed a hand basket after heading into the cool, refreshing, air conditioning, a low sigh of relief leaving him. Although it was a short drive from his house to the store, the heat had managed to penetrate his car. His signature red baseball cap sat turned sideways to give his head breathing room and a plain white, cotton t-shirt replaced his usual long sleeves, leaving his tattoos uncovered for all to see, not that he minded. He went through the pain of getting them for a reason. Scratching at the sunscreen he'd rubbed on his markings to keep them from fading, the teen walked slowly, deliberately, through the isles. He didn't very much feel like going home just yet. Wasalu would yell at him for being late and making everyone wait on him, but Omris wasn't the kind to care about anything when he needed time to think. Plus, it was hot as balls outside. He wasn't ready to possibly pass out.

Today was the sort of the day the aspiring writer preferred to sleep until nightfall but like every Saturday morning in his house, sleeping was impossible. With everyone running through there like a circus directed by monkeys, he'd wouldn't have a place to sit, let alone reflect. He walked around a worker restocking the shelves, watching the person attentively in his passing. Omris was an overly observant and paranoid boy. His habits did make for interesting stories but for horrible sleepless nights. Seeing and doing the things he had in the past and made for him so. Noticing the short jolt of idiotic fear made him halt in the middle of the walk way to slap his forehead. 'Stop that man..' He thought, continuing on after earning a questioning glance from an old woman.

Making it to the cold foods section, he dodged a few customers, then reached for the last carton of eggs, instead catching a slender hand. He paused to look at the owner who didn't retract it only stared, her plump mouth slightly ajar with surprise. Warm brown gaze traveled down the length of her other willowy arm holding the buggy which was filled with at least three cartons of eggs and plethora of other baking ingredients then to her equally deep sienna eyes sitting fixed on his face as if studying or mentally insulting him. Either way, she made him feel strange.

"Excuse me." The teen broke the piercing eye contact and long silence with his voice and side ways glance.
"Ah, no sorry." She spoke softly with a light Hispanic drawl, shaking her head, making the obsidian hair flowing down her back follow its lead. Pausing, the girl’s head canted a small degree to the side as she ran his features through her memory. The two stared at each other for a long while, locked in their own space apart from regular time, holding the same bent forward position. Omris brought them back, a fidget drawing her attention to his hand as it moved into his front jeans pocket and his back straightened. He shared an awkward smile with her, just realizing where he had seen her before, she the same.
          “Have I-“
"--You can have the eggs." He interrupted knowing her question. Just because he’d seen her before didn’t mean he had to make nice. The girl stood straight after a split second, taken aback by his curious demeanor. Compelled to return his attentions she told his retreating form, "Oh, no! It's O.K. You can have them. You don't have anything and I have a couple already. Actually, I took the other three cartons so..."

Red sneakers squeaked against the linoleum flooring when he stopped to face her. Her eyes focused on his again, the peculiarities of human awkwardness apparently not a notion she knew. Too bad Omris wasn't that sort of person. Vision focusing on the butter next to him, shoulders shrugged, somewhat indifferent to the situation.

"No it's fine really. I can ask for more. One of us will have to anyway, I'd rather let you go on uninterrupted. Looks like you’re having a big party or something. " He let her this time for sure watch his broad back leave.

Placing the container in the cart, she too went on her own way. Own way as in following behind Omris.
"The delivery truck didn't come yet." A clerk told him. her hearing in her slow passing.
When is it going to come? The boy asked.
          "They only deliver on Sundays."
Krystal's lofted eyebrow twitched at hearing it, an idea coming to mind.
"Damn man, I need eggs now--Alright, thanks a lot."Omris walked away, thinking on what to do. "You're welcome. Sorry, sir." The clerk offered him.

She rounded the corner steadily, trying to catch the last view of him walking into another isle. She had the weird habit of people watching and the boy had grabbed her attention with his nonchalant attitude and albeit geeky, black rimmed glasses.

One more item and she was in the check out line. The same person came into her line of sight again, him having only a bottle of water in hand, now. His line was longer than hers making her think to ask if he wanted to skip but the emotionless face he wore made him..intimidating.

Pushing her cart along outside, her eyes stayed on the boy who walked out moments before her. It so happened he parked near her as well. Taking it as a sign, her slow stalker walk sped up into a quick jog.

Hearing a cart coming too close, Omris turned around after opening the car door. The girl from before had stopped a few feet short of arms length with her groceries and was digging through the paper bags. Just give me a sec—here.” The elusive eggs made their appearance again. Omris caught in shock looked from them to her.
”Um…” was all he could make out.
”Take them. I—I heard you talking to the guy inside and it seemed like you needed them pretty bad, so here.”
”I can’t..” Omris’ shock was pasted to his face. Why was she offering her eggs to him?
”Yea, you can. A small smile flashed at him as she moved a tendril of hair from her caramel face.
”I can’t—let me at least pay for them, I couldn’t-- Omris reached for the wallet in his back pocket.
”You aren’t used to people being nice, are you? Another moment of silence passed between them as Omris went over what the situation could mean. Either she was flirting with him or she was actually a nice person. Cross out option B. No one in the world was that nice, at least not in Houston. She was flirting with him and was the desperate type. Great.
”Take them. They’re yours. Her empty hand boldly took his and putting the box in it. By the time he looked up, she was pushing her food stuffs away saying, ”Have a nice one, mister. Adiós.”

Completely astonished with the happenings, Omris sat in the Acura, staring down at the carton for a few minutes before starting the engine. What the hell just happened? The entire way home he couldn't stop thinking how odd the whole affair was. She didn't even let him return her money. The only thing he regreted was not telling her thank you. She indefinitely would be stuck in his memory for a while. Who could forget such a nice notion or her penetrating yet sincere stare or how she was nearly as tall as him?

"Damn....should of got her name." It struck him when he walked into his bustling home.

Setting the coffee pot in it's placement, Darin clicked on the red button to start a fresh brew of the caffeine. While the machine worked its magic, he occupied his time by making a quick breakfast consisting of cereal and milk. The easiest thing to prepare besides toast. As Jeremih blasted through his ears, Darin sent a short text to Derek to see how far he was from the house. Today, was Monday which meant, Spring Break in Miami. The eighteen hour drive from Houston to the party city was schedule to take off at four a.m. at the Sadri house, so that they all will arrive at eight that night to party it up after a short nap. Every thing was fine and set for the week. That is until Darin found out that Wasalu and his boys were tagging along. Hearing that, he changed his arrival plan in a heartbeat. The hell if he was going to sit in the same car with a dude that didn't like his guts with reasons known only to himself. Omris' brother or not, he found another ride with his own friends who rented an black Escalade truck, cuterosy of Vinny's mom.

Pouring himself a hefty amount of coffee in a mug, Darin perfected his dose with a tablespoon of sugar and hazelnut creamer before finding a seat at the kitchen island. Palming his sidekick, he scrolled through his messages, pausing on the one he sent to Jasmynn the past Saturday night. When thirty minutes past ten passed and still no sign of her at the club, he shot her a message to see if she was still coming, only to receive no response from her in the end along with his call. After giving the whole thing a thought, he realized that she had stood him up. At first he was surprised, but being the type of person he was, he got over it. Finding a "new friend" in a female from Trinidad that knew a thing or two on how to get him going. He figured, if Jasmynn wasn't going to answer him, why dwell on it? If anything, he was trying to help her out seeing how she wanted to chill with him or so he thought. But still, the notion of being left on the sidelines didn't sit well with him. He couldn't help but think that Lucille had something to do with Jasmynn not not showing up. Whatever. That was two days ago. He was over it. It's Monday and he was about to embark on the trip of a lifetime. Worrying about one girl was not going to be an issue when he was going to be surrounded with hot women in bikini's and endless beaches twenty-four seven. Then again, Jasmynn did point out that she and her friends were heading down there as well for the Spring Bling. Just his damn luck if her ran into her. Wait, Miami was a big city and his mother had lodged them in a hotel on the beach which didn't come cheap. The chances of running into her became slim. 'Oh, what the ********] Why in the hell was he still thinking about her a**? Jesus Christ! They never even had a full conversation yet as it is. That's it. Jasmynn? Erased from his vocabulary as well as brain. Hell, he was Darin Jovanni ******** Bastiaan! He could get any girl he damn wanted.

Polishing off the bowl of cereal, Darin rinsed the dish out in the sink when from out of nowhere, his earphones were yanked free from out of his ears. Wheeling around, he came face to face with Jay, equipped with a sneer in place. "The hell's your problem man?" he bit out, before drapping the plugs around his neck. Why his mother's fiancée was up three o' clock in the morning, was beyond him. One thing he did know that his mom and Anthony were sleeping, which gave Jay the opportune time to harass him out of spite.
"Where you think you going, little ni**a?" Jerking his chin towards the two duffel bags resting at the kitchen entrance, Jay narrowed his gaze on Anette's oldest. Even with him being suspended from school, she did nothing to stop Darin from going on his trip. She all but sat around on her a**, while the b*****d of a boy celebrated as it nothing happened. But, Jay made sure to punish his a** himself behind her back. It'll teach her boy to try that s**t again, and think for one second that he was going to get away that easily. Not in his house while he was still breathing.
Sucking his teeth, Darin moved to go around the older male when Jay shoved him in the chest, cutting his effort. Feeling a tick in his jaw, his fist clenched as he tried once more, only for his mother's fiancée to push the side of his head. "Man, what the hell do you want?!" Darin yelled at him. It was too early in the damn morning to be doing this s**t now! Nostrils flaring, the boy fought hard to keep his hands at his side because if he were to hit him, all hell would break loose.
"Who the hell do you think you talking to like that ********] Closing the small space between them, Jay cracked his neck then same time he poked the side of Darin's head. Daring the boy to try something, knowing damn well that he wouldn't. 'Soft a** b***h' "I asked you where the hell do you think you're going?"
Side stepping out of reach of his hand, Darin smacked the limb away from him. [******** you!"
The hell he was telling that ni**a s**t. Anger fueling ever breath he took, he nudged past Jay, heading for his bags when a set of hands latched themselves on the collar of his shirt, where they then yanked him backwards to slam his back against the wall. Before the pain could register, Jay came into his line of view, hand taking his neck in a vise grip, cutting off his supply of oxygen.

Huffing, Darin gripped the other's wrists in an attempt to pry them off, when a punch to the stomach distorted his focus. Doubling over, a sharp curse left him before his back greeted the wall again, where an elbow to his throat kept his hoisted. Searching his expression, Jay leered deviously into the boy's face. It appeared that the Darin needed yet another lesson in his manners. "Oh, you think you're bad huh? You wanna kick my a**, huh?" Instead of waiting for an answer, Jay snaked a hand around the back of Darin's neck and propelled the boy forward, but not before kicking his feet up to trip him.

Unable to stop himself from falling, Darin collided with the floor with a thud, sliding a short distance to the kitchen table. Clenching his teeth tight, his vision blurred as tears of rage tipped his lids. Planting his fist onto the wood, he proceeded to get to his feet when Jay decided he wasn't quite finished, adding a foot stomp to the center of his back. [********] he cried out, as pain entered his spin. Forehead pressed to the cool floor beneath him, Darin squeezed his eyes shut and winced as each inhale he took, discomfort came. Where the hell was his damn mom?

Observing Darin as he withered like a little b***h before him, Jay cocked his leg back and kicked him in the ribs. "Wake you mom up little ni**a. This is nothing compared to what I will do to you if you do."

"Ey, man! What you doing to DJ?" Body stiffening, Jay turned in the direction of the new voice in the room, and rolled his eyes when he spotted Anthony standing at the entrance.

Dressed in a pair of pajama pants and no shirt, Anthony was just about to doze off when he heard a commotion coming from downstairs. Thinking his Mom had left Halo playing in the living room, he made his way down to find her sound asleep in her room. His worse fears manifested when he saw that Jay wasn't in the bed beside her. Instead of sleeping, he was busy beating the hell out of his brother.

"Anthony? Take your a** back to bed before you join your sorry a** brother!"

Standing his ground, Anthony cut a worried glance at Darin before turning attention back to Jay. "No. You looking to get shot today Jay, because if you hit DJ again, I'mma tell my momma what you be doing when she's not here. "

Cursing, Darin slowly rolled over onto his back. "Ant, go to bed."
"Hell no! I ain't going nowhere." he shouted back, voice echoing off the walls.

Curling his lip, Jay stalked over to where Anthony stood to pause in front of him, as the younger shrunk back in fear. Glaring down, he gritted his teeth at the sight. "You lucky she's home, but remember one thing. You're on your own for a week, because their not going to be here to save you." At that, he cut Darin one last look before leaving the two brothers in the kitchen.

Mulling over what the man just said to him, Anthony shook his head in denial. Jay wouldn't dare lay a hand on him if he knew what was good for him. He couldn't be that stupid to do such a thing. The only reason their mother had no clue of what was going on in her house was because he promised DJ he wouldn't say anything. Now he wasn't so sure about that. For one, he couldn't just keep quiet while he brother endured countless beatings from that monster. Only to run away like a coward to Charlene's house whenever it started. It was unethical. People ended up dying over this crap. Debating on what to do next, his thoughts were cut off when he heard Darin call him.
"Yo, Anthony. Help me up."
Rushing over to his brother's side, Anthony draped one of Darin's arm around his neck as his aided his back to lift. Wincing, Darin held his breath as he slowly got to his feet. Turning into his brother, he encased him in a hug, head lowering to his ear. "Don't you ever say that s**t again."
Jerking back, Anthony was pulled back when his sibling's hold on him tightened. "Man, don't tell me that!"
"Anthony.Stay out of this. I got Jay." Hearing his brother sucking his teeth, Darin rested his hand on top of Anthony's head. "Listen alright? Stay away from him and keep your mouth shut. This ain't nobody's business and it sure as hell ain't mom's. I don't want you in this house when Momma ain't here. You got that?"
Mouth parting, the sting of upcoming tears clogged his throat, forbidding his response. He couldn't believe DJ was telling him this. All they had to do was tell their mother and all of it will be over. That easy. But no, Darin wanted to do the complete opposite.
"Anthony? You hear me?"
"Yeah, man!" Breaking free from him, Anthony faced the other side of the room as he swiped away the tears that fell onto his cheeks. Unable to look at his brother, he shook his head. "I'll see you when you get back." Maybe then he'll grow some sense and open his mouth. Exiting the kitchen, he made his way back up the stairs to his room. All the while ignoring the knock at the front door.

Sighing, Darin hugged his side as trekked across the room to the sink to splash his face with water. Great. Jay found another way to ruin him. Now, he was going to be sore throughout the whole week. Hearing a knock at the door, he paused for a moment to calm his nerves and collect himself before walking over to open the door.
"What up, you read-, Fool you alright?" Sizing up his friend, Derekcocked a brow. Taking note of his friend's red eyes and solemn features, under the glow of the porch light. Gazing around him to see if anyone was standing behind the door, he straighten.
"Naw, I'm good." Forcing a smile on his lips that didn't quite reach his eyes, Darin departed to grab his bags and handed one over to his friend to carry. "Let's go."
"You sure you're alright man? What's up?" .
"I said, I'm good." He said a little harsh than he intended.
Raising his hand in mock defense Derek eased back. "Alright. Just checking if my boy was cool, that's all"
Locking up the house, the two meet up with Vinny and Will in the truck as they all piled in. On the short drive to Omris', Darin remained silent as he took in his pain. More questions were thrown his way, in which he put off, claiming that he was just tired. No one needed to know his business and he sure as hell didn't want any pity from ether of them.
Pulling up outside the Sadri household, Darin exited the car and made his way over. Knocking twice on the door, he smoothed a hand over his low boy, and waited for someone to answer. His excitement all but, vanished from his eyes.

"The party girl"

It had been a tiring week previously, and Selina had been looking forward to coming back from Mississippi for the longest time. She had returned Saturday night to spend time with her best friends. Ultimately, they spent time watching movies and hanging around Jasmynn's apartment. Spring break had finally come; the feeling of excitement overwhelmed her as she peeked open her eyes. As lethargic as she felt, the remembrance of the date had pulled her instantly awake. Selina had chosen to spend the night with Jas just because she knew how lazy her best friend could be; a pain in the a** to wake up in other words

. "Ayy! Poop face. Wake up!" She shouted, nudging Jas rudely in the back. They had a plane to make pretty soon, and Jas's lazy a** was not about to ******** that up. "Come on home girl, it's like nine or sum s**t. We gotta pick up YB, Darryl and Lu." An irritated sigh left her lips as Jas groaned shooing her away.

"Okay, either you get up or I'm going to leave you here while I go to Flordia.... sip on some drank....sexyy males...." She whispered sarcastically into Jas's ears to irritate her more. Eventually her friend had given up the battle and got up out of bed. "See I'm up ya b***h. Ughhh.," Jas laughed rubbing her eyes.

Selina grinned pridefully, "Oh quit bein a damn baby. Get ready, and I guess we'll have break feast here and get everybody. I called the taxi service yesterday, sooo they should be here in a couple hours! Florida here we come!" She yelled exceptionally loud just to make Jas even more aggravated.

Both girls' bags were already packed from the previous night sitting by the front of Jas's door. A couple hours and both girls were already. They started in the kitchen cooking up a delicious break feast for themselves. Selina had handled the remote changing it to mTV and cranking up the current song. Selina swayed her hips jokingly around the kitchen while making eggs around Jasmynn. "OOOOO baby! ....Call me mistaa flinstone I can make yaa bad rooooock." She bellowed around the kitchen. "Oh god please shut up! You sound like a dying cat! Don't ruin this song for me ho!" Jasmynn giggled, blocking a playful hit from Selina. "Whateva you just jealous hoe ." Half an hour, they had finally finished cooking.

Selina hopped up on the bar stool, stuffing eggs in her mouth hurriedly. "We on time. Chill crazy." Jas laughed while eating her food with much more patience. Jas eyed her with an amused smile and a raised brow. "Anyways...So Darryl is going to just meet us at the airport or whateva. What about your friend?"

Before responding she swallowed, "Oh so we don't gotta pick up Darryl then. Yeah we don't gotta pick up YB either. His brother his droppin him off. I guess we will all meet up. We gotta get Lu though." Jas nodded. "Yuh, Alright well let's put these dishes in the sink, turn everything off and I guess we can head out. The taxi will be here pretty soon."

Another half hour and both her and Selina had cleaned up making sure they had everything they needed. One glance over the house, and Jas locked her apartment and both of them walked towards the waiting taxi. "Flordia here we comeee!" Jas shouted before skipping towards the car. "Oh now your excited!" Selina added before skipping after her.

After picking up Lucille from her home and packing all of there belongings in the trunk of the taxi, they arrived at the airport to meet with Darryl and Selina's friend.

Darryl sat with a jaded expression on a rigid bench in the airport. He had left his house earlier than he presumed, so he had spent at least an hour waiting on his cousin and all her friends. Blasted music sounded through his ear-buds as he bobbed his head casually. "I get it in..I get it in" He sang to himself, while snapping his fingers. His eyes fell on a young woman who seemed a little lost in the airport. His attention focused on her back end, glancing over her legs, and back up to her head. Daaamn... He thought to himself. Would he holla? Nah, bet the b***h was probably already taken..He'd be a damn fool. A few minutes thinking about it he stood up, straightening out his shirt and adjusting his pants. His legs were reluctant, but his mind was persistent; he would just get her name. A couple steps and he paused again; what if her man walked up and gave him trouble? Ah who gives a s**t, she was too damn fine to pass up.

By that time he had finally persuaded himself just to ask and get the s**t over with. Then a hit on the shoulder made him snap his neck to see his cousin at his arm. "Reggie! I'm so glad your going with us!" Jasmynn said grabbing him tightly around the waist. s**t. He turned his eyes back up to see that the attractive female had instantly disappeared. Well ********! "Mayn Jas. I just saw dis fine female, and you made me lose where she was goin.." He groaned while hugging her back. His eyes drifted over Jas's other two sexy friends. Well s**t, if anything he would be going on a trip with females anyways, it'd be good...and Miami would not disappoint in it's display of fine women. "Oh cut this s**t...Listen! We waiting on Selina's friend YB or whateva, then we can get on our plane!" Darryl sighed, YB betta be anotha female..

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Mike lay all the way back in the leather passenger seat of his brother's Cadillac. Biggie Smalls "Suicidal Thoughts" played at a low volume as they drove up towards the airport. The traffic was atrocious, and it seemed as if the ride lasted hours rather than mere minutes. Mike closed his eyes nodding his head nonchalantly with the beat. He began to word each verse, a crease formed between his brows the more he went along with the rhyme. "Ayo YB. So you forreal bout to go on this Flordia bullshit. I mean, come on mayn. Don't be doin no dumb s**t or Ima whoop yo a**." His brother said out the side of his mouth while keeping his head centered forward. "n***a get ya head on right. Im bout to get me sum if ya get me. Haa." He laughed cupping his fist infront of his mouth. "Oh yuh, you be going wit dat one hoe, uh, what's her name...Sabrina or sum s**t?" He questioned. "Nah n***a Se-lin-a. Not Sabrina, Selina. Big booty Selina." Mike responded laughing again. "Oh I gotcha. Hell yeah! Betta smash wit dat hoe." His brother grinned hitting Mike's shoulder. "Shut tha ******** up. I be havin females linin up all damn day. It gon be Selina, Laura, Sarah, her momma, and her sista..." He joked.

A few minutes later and his brother stopped the car motioning Mike to get his s**t and go. "Alright my n***a. I hit at you lata. Betta hit that ho! Make ya bro proud!" He laughed motioning him to leave. "Haa, iight bro, peace." Grabbing his one small suitcase, he entered the airport looking for his friend Selina. He walked deeper into the airport until he recognized a familiar back end. "Ay Se Se! What it do baby girl?" He shouted, before wrapping his arms around her. His hands soon made there way to her back end before he took a handful. "n***a chill out!' Selina laughed playfully hitting him in the stomach. "Yuh that's why you broke ya hand." He gloated lifting up his shirt to reveal toned abs. "You stupid... Ay anyways. Look this is my best friend Jasmynn, and my other best friend Lucille. And this is Darryl, Jas's cousin" During the introduction he licked his lips, before noticably staring at their features. "Nice to meet ya ladies. I'm Mike....YB...You can call me whatev you like" Selina hit him again with a small hint of jealously."Chill baby girl chill. You kno I'm playin." He winked inconspicuously at Lucille licking his lips again. Turning his head he cocked his chin towards Darryl exchanging a quick shake. "What it do homez" Grabbing his suitcase off the floor he began walking towards their destination. "Well whatcha waitin for, I aint got all damn day. I got some females to be tendin' to." Selina followed behind him nailing him another soft punch in the back. "Playin woman! I said I'm playin!"

Florida would be an interesting trip...
