_________ ...Don't you ever tell me I'm not loving you best.

-X- Josh ran through the side door of the concert hall, Matt in trail. They stopped outside of the dressing room door, panting as they stepped in. "Where on Earth have you two been?" Josh's mother asked, handing Josh a bright red button down shirt and a black tie. Josh took them and put them on over his tour t-shirt, frowning as his mother walked over and began fussing over his tie. When she was done, he walked over to the mirror, and and began fixing his hair. "We were looking around the mall." Matt said, pulling on a plain black t-shirt and a dress jacket. "Well, the other two already did sound check, so all you two need to do is go down to the stage for a short interview, and then the concert is being filmed as well, so try not to have your hand butchered this time Josh” She said, before pushing Josh and Matt out the door, towards the stage. The boys walked through the dark hallways, Josh humming Good to You as they walked. ”I’m having Déjà vu” Matt mumbled as he tripped over a wire.

-X- The two boys stepped onto the stage, and walked over to Ian and Mike, who stood laughing with the camera man. ”Oh, finally you guys are here. We can start the interview, then they’ll be letting people into the room to get their seats." The camera man said, as the interviewer walked over and gave each a friendly smile, before asking them their names, just for confirmation on them. Then the camera man signaled that he was filming and the interviewer began to speak. ”I’m on stage with the members of Marianas Trench, just before their second show of their Cross-Canada tour.” The interview said, before turning towards the boys. Josh cocked his head to the side and took the mic from Ian. ”I have a question” Josh said into the mic. The interview nodded and smiled at him. ”Oh, and what’s that?” He asked. Josh giggled and then looked at Matt. ”Where is this being broadcasted?” Josh asked. The interviewer gave Josh a funny look, but quickly recovered and answered the question. ”Across Canada. Why do you ask?” The interviewer asked Josh. Matt smiled and took the mic from Josh. ”I think I know whyyy” Matt said in a sing-song voice. Josh punched his arm, causing Matt to groan, and punch Josh back. Then the two of them began just punching each other, while Mike and Ian stood their watching. ”Immature… See what we deal with every single day?” Ian muttered, causing the interviewer to laugh. Then Matt and Josh stopped punching each other, rubbing their sore arms, while chuckling. ”So, have you boys been working on anything new? A new CD maybe?” The interviewer asked. They all looked at Josh, who slumped his shoulders and brushed his blue hair from his eyes. ”I’ve been working… I have one song done, and I’ve been working on some other one’s, but so far I’ve only got bits and pieces. I haven’t had any inspiration” Josh muttered. Matt patted Josh’s back, and the interviewer leaned in curiously. ”What’s the kind of thing that inspires you to write a song?” The interviewer asked. ”Well most things. Like… If you see a beautiful flower in a garden, and you’re an artist, you’re going to feel inspired to draw something equally, or more beautiful then the thing that inspired you, like the flower. So for me, if I hear a song, I instantly want to try and make something like it, but better. I also write from experience, and about what I’m feeling” Josh said. The interviewer nodded. ”What’s the song you wrote, about? What feelings, or experiences inspired you to write it?” He asked. Josh looked at the ceiling of the stage, not sure if he should say. ”Mostly about feeling… Not good enough. Like, what I am isn’t enough, but Josh Ramsay, of Marianas Trench is… If that makes sense” Josh said. The interviewer nodded, and smiled apologetically at the other boys, and turned towards the camera. ”Well, I can already hear the fans screaming outside, so I should let you boys get to your show. I wish you luck. It was a pleasure meeting you.” The interviewer said, nodding as the camera turned off. ”Thank you for your time. We will be filming the concert live, so just pretend we aren’t here. We want the experience to be as realistic as possible, for those watching at home.” He said, before walking off with the camera man to set up cameras in certain places.

-X- Josh and the boys skipped off stage. Then stood behind the curtain as they waited to the opening band to play. Josh hummed along with the song the band played, and strummed along on his own guitar, although no one could hear it. Then the other band ran off stage, and a voice called from somewhere, saying that Marianas Trench was on. Josh went on first, and smiled at Matt as he followed, along with Ian, and Mike. Josh stepped up to his microphone and smiled at the audience as they clapped and cheered. ”Hello Whistler!” Josh said, giggling as the crowd screamed. ”The first song we’re going to play for you, is a little something called Masterpiece Theatre III” Josh said, stepping away from the mic as he began playing, waiting for his cue. When his cue finally came, he pressed his lips against the mic, and began to sing. ”I got a new disease in me. I got a friend that’s losing sleep. I take it hard, it’s hard to take. I’m wide awake, I’m wide awake.” Josh sang, smiling as the audience sang along with him, the words flowing from his mouth in perfect tune. They went through song after song flawlessly, Josh moving to the edge every once and a while to touch finger tips with fans, being careful not to get to close.

-X- By the end of the concert, Josh had a huge smile on his face. He ran off stage and quickly packed up their things with Matt, while the other two put the equiptment away. Then Matt and Josh made their way to the bus, that started rolling the minute they stepped on. ”Night homes” He called to Josh as he stepped into his room. ”Night Matt” Josh called back, grabbing his towel and his pajama bottoms before making his way to the bathroom. Once more, he lingered over his shower, taking the time to stand under the hot water for a few minutes between actions, hoping that the steam would help heal his aching muscles faster. Once he got out, he felt drained and tired, and pulled on his pajamas absentmindedly. Then he walked to his room, ignoring his growling stomach and climbed into bed, snuggling up to Lucy, who was curled up against his pillow.

And I don't want the world to S E E me

▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Hayden remained silent during the entire ride home from the mall, staring out the window moodily. Mitch asked no questions, and even Aiden knew better than to mess with her when she was like that. Hayden was still fuming over her and Stacey's confrontation. What the hell? I wasn't doing anything to bother her and she just walks up to me and patronizes me. Well, I'll say what I want to say, around whom I what to say it. "You better watch you say, mute," huh? Oh, I'll show her... Hayden's thoughts were written all over her face, and when they fnally pulled in to their small gravel driveway, Hayden unbuckled and limped to the brick steps on her own, ignoring her father's protests. Aiden helped her to the house, despite her protests, and she was set on the couch in the livingroom and quickly abandoned to her own devices. Mitch and Aiden were avoiding her mood swings as much as possible.

Hayden decided to try and calm down. I mean, it's like I'm giving her the satisfaction if I'm mad anyway, she assured herself. To distract herself, she picked up the remote and flicked the t.v. on, flipping through channels without anything interesting on. She sneezed, and giggled a bit at her brother's loud 'Gesundheit!' Somebody in the world is talking about you."
"I think I know-" Wait, she recognized that voice. It sounded like Matt Webb. Hayden paused and returned to the previous channel. Sure enough, sitting in stools on stage at a music theatre in Whistler, Hayden could see the band members of Marianas Trench on her t.v. screen. With a small smile, she made herself comfy and watched the interview. She laughed her head off as Josh and Matt had a punch-fight over whatever stupid thing Matt had said, calming only after she'd laughed 'til she was dizzy. She quieted down when Josh began talking about his inspiration for writing. For some reason, she needed to know, and hushed Aiden more than fifty times as the vocalist explained himself. Hayden's heart felt heavy as he said,”Mostly about feeling… Not good enough. Like, what I am isn’t enough, but Josh Ramsay, of Marianas Trench is… If that makes sense.” She was depressed after that, and she didn't know why. Maybe it's because I understand what he means. He was a very nice guy for the forty minutes she'd talked with him, so no wonder she felt a bit sad when he did. She tried her best to cheer up while watching the concert, but she couldn't get out of the slump. His words haunted her, kinda.

Hayden sighed and turned off the t.v. after a while, tired of remembering Josh's saddening response to the reporter's question. She was worn out, and her knee wasn't feeling any better than it was this morning. After limping to the kitchen and taking some Benadryl, Hayden flopped back on the couch and stared at the ceiling. She tried to stay awake, but the medicine was fast acting or something, and she was deep asleep only moments later.

Mitch came downstairs after fussing at Aiden for leaving his underwear hanging on the bathroom door, and stopped at the foot of the steps. He looked around for Hayden, but there wasn't anyone in sight. A bit worried, he lumbered into the livingroom and turned to see his daughter sleeping soundly on the couch. Mitch smiled, "What am I going to do with you, chick?" Grabbing a blanket draping over across his recliner, he gently covered the sleeping girl with it before tip-toeing away quietly. He peered into the room one last time before closing the door behind him and proceeding into the kitchen to finish clean-up before he, too, went to bed.

_________ ...Don't you ever tell me I'm not loving you best.

-X- The sun shone through the window, telling the sleeping male cozied up in bed that it was morning. Josh sat up, and rubbed his eyes, happy that the day was a bright one. He stood up and walked to the window, and smiled at the empty, tree covered road around the bus. ”Ahh. Good ol’ Canada.” Josh said, before walking to his still packed suitcase on the floor. He pulled out a neon blue Volcom t-shirt and a pair of slim jeans, and put them on slowly, before he pulled on, and zipped up his black American Apparel sweater half way. Then he walked to the small dresser and started fixinf his hair in the mirror. Once he was dressed, and had his hair in proper order, he walked to the bathroom and brushed his teeth, and washed his face, to remove any sleep in his eyes, and to wake him up a bit more. He exited the bathroom and clapped hands with Matt, who went into the bathroom after him. Then he walked to the small kitchen area and poured Lucy some cat food, then he poured himself some corn pops and sat down beside Mike, who was eating some eggs he had made. ”That smell makes me nauseous” Josh mumbled between spoonfuls of cereal. Mike gave him a funny look. ”Eggs?” Mike asked, before eating a mouthful. Josh nodded, while chewing, just as Matt came back. ”It’s not the eggs, or the smell really. It’s just when he first wakes up. It’s weird. He threw up at my house once” Matt said, pouring himself a second bowl of cereal, then sitting beside Josh. Just then, Ian walked in and sat down as well. ”Who threw up at your house?” Ian asked, pouring himself a cup off coffee, from the carafe that sat in the middle of the table. ”Josh did. He the smell of eggs when he first wakes up makes him sick” Matt said, chuckling. Ian began to chuckle as well, and Josh stared into his bowl, blushing as his friends laughed at him.

-X- Josh looked up as someone else sat down at the small, booth table, and smiled as he met eyes with his mother. ”’morning mom” Josh said softly, then he slid out of the booth to pour himself some more cereal. She smiled and folded her hands on the table. ”Good morning my baby. How are you all today?” She asked, smiling at each boy in turn. They all mumbled a “good, and you?” and then went back to their breakfasts. Josh sat back down, and began munching at a spoonful of cereal. ”Okay. So, I just got off the phone with a radio station in a small town we’ll be passing through. You boys have tonight off, so I figured you could handle a radio interview.” She said, opening her small leather date book, which Josh leaned over to read from it. ”Cool, where will we be?” Josh asked, then Matt started laughing. Josh gave him a look of confusion, and frowned as he tried to figure out what he could be laughing at. ”Why does it matter? Gonna go look up some info, so you can sound like a total brainiac? Oh, oh or maybe, you’re tying to see if we’re going where Hayden lives” Matt said, laughing again, getting stares from everyone else. ”I just want to know, you dumb a**. Plus, Hayden never told me where she lived. Anyway, I think it’s you who wants to see her again” Josh countered, giving Matt a “bring it” stare. Josh’s mother sighed and closed her date book. ”She was a very nice young girl. But anyway. We’re going to Greenbrier. It’s small, and has only one high school. Otherwise it’s all elderly people. The interview will be during the day, so all the students… or anyone that would recognize you, will be in school.” She said. They all nodded, and then went back to eating.

-X- When the bus finally stopped, parking behind a large department store, the boys all got off slowly. They all put of their sunglasses, Josh in a pair of black Ray Bans with blue bands. He ran his figners through his straight black hair, and blew his bangs out of his face. ”God, this place is boring. We’ve only just got off the bus, and I already want to hang myself, just for something to do” Josh whined, as he walked across the parking back parking lot of the store, with Matt beside him. ”It’s quaint. I’m not gonna lie, I like it” Matt said, pushing the sleeves of his grey pull-over cardigan to his elbows. Josh sighed and scratched his chest, looking around for anyone who may know them. ”My mom wasn’t kidding. Everyone here looks like they’re on the verge of death” Josh muttered, as he watched an elderly couple walk by, supporting each other, while themselves using walkers and canes. Matt laughed and pushed his silver aviators farther up onto his nose. ”Maybe what we should do, is we should just like, model strut through the high school, and barge in every door, yelling ‘WE’VE ARRIVED!’ and see what happens” Matt said. Josh laughed at the thought of it, but shook his head. ”What if no one knows who we are?” Josh asked. Ian nodded, and then looked around. ”Hey Josh, where’s your mom?” He asked. Josh looked around as well, and then remember what she had said. ”She went to go do our laundry at the Laundromat, and then she’s gonna buy more food for the bus fridge” Josh said, pushing the sleeves of his black sweater up to his elbows, just like Matt had. They continued walking down the street, talking as if they were the old people they passed, making up fake conversations. ”Haaaarold. Did you boil the cat again?” Josh said to Matt, his voice high pitched and gravelly, as they passed an old couple arguing about the odd taste of the fish they had eaten. Matt laughed, and Mike and Ian both shook their heads, although they were both smiling. ”Ah shaddup Agnes, we both know it was ya shitty cooking. Not tha cat” Matt said back, his voice low, but still gravelly. Josh chuckled, and then Matt began laughing hysterically, gaining them a few odd looks from an old woman in a motorized wheelchair as she passed them.

-X- The boys all walked into the doors of the radio station’s head quarters, all helping themselves to handfuls of candies off the receptionists desk. Once she walked away, to tell the radio announcers that they had arrived, Matt took the candy dish and attempted to pour it into his pocket, only to have them spill all over the floor. Josh instantly began laughing his head off, causing Matt to get annoyed, and whipped a candy at him. ”Ooooooooow-uh” Josh whined, as he picked up another candy from the floor and whipped it at Matt. Matt squealed as it hit him in the forehead, then picked up a handful from the floor, and began whipping them at Josh, one after the other, causing Josh to cower behind his arms, which were covering his face. Then he picked up a handful, and whipped them back at Matt, and continued on in that way, until they heard a gentle cough from somewhere around them. They looked up from the handfuls of shiny wrapped candies to stare at the both amused, and angry face of the receptionist. Ian and Mike, who had been leaning against the wall, stepped forward and smiled apologetically at her. ”Sorry about them. They may be 18, but they have the maturity, and attention span of two month old puppies.” Mike said, glancing at Josh and Matt, who were both standing up straight, with their hands folded in front of them. The two boys tried to keep the giggles down, but a few of them erupted, and they covered their mouths with their hands as they tried to compose themselves again. Then they both stooped down, and picked up big handfuls of candy, then dropped them on the receptionists desk, and walked sheepishly into the studio, where they heard the band name being introduced. Then the hosts began pressing buttons, and All to Myself began to play, as the boys all introduced themselves, and got set up with headphones and microphones. Then they chatted lightly, as they waited for the song to finish. Once it had, the host signaled that they were on air, and Matt and Josh both pulled Candies from their pockets, unwrapped them, and popped them in their mouth. Mike and Ian rolled their eyes, and listened as the host introduced the band, and then all four boys said hello, Josh and Matt’s being muffled by the candies. They all answered questions, and Josh blushed when it came to a question about the concert the other night, in Vancouver. ”So Josh, there have been tons of rumors about what happened during your last Vancouver show before the tour. You were saying that your hand got cut on a nail from the stage. But honestly, what happened?” The host asked. Josh looked at the ceiling, then rubbed the back of his head. ”Uhh. Well, I guess since it was a few days ago, I can say what really happened. A fan grabbed hold of my pants, and was like… Pulling them down. Which would have probably made everyone in the audience happy, but that isn’t really the point. Um, so I bent down, and asked the fan politely to let go, but she didn’t and instead grabbed my hand, and dug her nails into my palm” Josh said. The host ohh’d and then launched into a ton more questions, leaving the boys all laughing, or talking every second of the interview.

-X- They were all in a great mood as they walked from the studio, Josh and Matt eating more candy as they walked. They all nodded and smiled at the receptionist, before walking out the door. They put their sunglasses back on, and were walking around aimlessly to kill time until Josh’s mother said everything was done. Ian suddenly gasped, and rubbed his eyes. ”Starbucks. Straight ahead. Can we make a stop?” Ian asked, obviously not having his coffee fix yet. Matt sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. ”Only if you buy for everyone.” Matt said. Josh nodded, then leaned against the brick wall outside the starbucks. ”Get me a caramel frapp” Josh called to Ian, as he and Mike stepped inside. Then Matt leaned beside him, and they began comparing candies, exchanging the flavours they didn’t like with each other, until they were both satisfied with the flavours they had. Then the chatted about nothing in particular, until Matt finally got fed up and checked his watch. ”it’s been waaaay longer then the amount of time it should take to make coffee” Matt mumbled. Josh nodded and pushed his sunglasses farther onto his nose. Matt sighed and looked at Josh. ”I’m going in to get them. Don’t leave. Also, don’t draw attention to yourself.” Matt said, before he turned on his heel, and walked into the Starbucks purposefully. Josh sighed, and pulled his blackberry from his pocket, and started checking his e-mail, skimming through fan mail for one’s with interesting subjects, or something from someone he actually knew, as he waited by himself for his friends to come back.

And I don't want the world to S E E me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand

▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Hayden went through her school-day routine like normal. Her dad woke her up at 7:30, she ate a quick breakfast of Lucky Charms, threw on her favorite skinny jeans and tied a neon yellow t-shirt in a bunch at her hip. Hardly taking notice of the action, she pulled her hair into a messy ponytail and headed downstairs to wait for either the bus or for Mitch to start the car. Hayden took all of ten minutes to get ready, and so had way too much time left to do a whole lot of nothing. She stood at the foot of the stairs, tapping her foot impatiently, when the old-fashioned doorbell rang.

Still slightly favoring her left leg, she lazily crossed the foyer to the door and looked through the peep-hole. And there was a bright green eye staring back, and Hayden grinned. She threw open the door enthusiastically, pulling Sam into a bear hug. "Hey, chick! Glad that you're back!" Sam gave a grin to rival Hayden's, answering, "Well, I came to make a rain-check on our girl's night out that I missed, remember, the concert? Yeah, and a little birdie told me that Marianas Trench is stopping here in small-town hell to do a radio interview, so we're skipping today." She stepped passed Hayden and straight into the house, as she'd done so many times before she acted like she owned the place. Hayden shut the door with her back and leaned on the door, shooting Sam a quizzical look. Turning and taking in her friend's reaction, Sam gazed steadily back, grin not faltering. "So? You ready to go? I thought we could hang at the mall or see a movie before we crashed the radio station..." Hayden's grin returned, but she shook her head, "No, Sam, I'm all for skipping an all, but I can't join the mob at the radio station. No way, Jose." Sam gave the puppy eyes, kneeling and folding her hands in a pray-position. "No means no, Sam! Remeber, it's you that does the stuff that people think are crazy. And besides, I've met Josh, what would he think of me if he saw me out there?" Sam gave up with a shrug, but her grin grew into a conspiratorial one. "Oh? How do you know if he even remembers you? And why would you care if you like another fan to him? Hmmm?" Hayden flushed and glared at her friend, but Sam ignored her and skipped to the door. "So...are you coming?" After a moment, Hayden dulled her gaze and rolled her eyes,"I guess so."

Sam's crazy driving always had Hayden holding onto her seat for dear life, and today was no exception. When they pulled into the parking lot for the mall, she stumbled out a bit shaky, thinking aloud,"...never, never again... I'm driving next time..." Sam slowed her pace for Hayden as they headed toward the mall entrance. Hayden was telling Sam about her encounter with Stacey the day before while Sam lead her around the stores, first Pacsun, Seventeenth Street, then finally Hot Topic. "She said that?! Ughh, I swear she's askin' for it. D'you want me to fight her? I'll do it. I have my own reasons to, anyway," Sam said angrily, upsetting a few shirts hanging on the rack beside her. Hayden chuckled and shook her head,"No, I don't need you to get into any more trouble than normal. Besides, she's not worth it."

The girls spent about four hours at the mall either window-shopping, flirting with the hot manager of Chick-fila in the food court (Sam, really), and hogging the photobooths until security had to pull them out. This was just another ordinary day with Sam, though, and Hayden was so used to it, she hardly felt guilty about getting thrown out. They were both holding their sides with fits of giggles as they headed back to Sam's truck, which she'd picked up at Hayden's house. They climbed into the cab and Sam started the engine and checked the time. "Oh gosh. I forgot about the interview," she said under her breath, flipping the dial to 107.4. Hayden just sighed and took a deep breath, still chuckling. They finally quieted down to listen to DJ Kelly chat with Marianas Trench. But the interview was already half over, and they were just reviewing the concert on Friday. Hayden just leaned back, bored. But Sam, who wasn't there, listened intently, leaning forward and pressing her ear near a speaker, Hayden just rolled her eyes. "O-hmigosh, seriously? How sick is that!" Hayden just stared at her friend with a 'Ok, that's kinda creepy' look. "Ok, I know, it's a bad thing. It's not polite to find pleasure in another's pain, blahblahblah,"she continued, ranting as if Hayden lectured her this way often. Dredging another fit of giggles from each other, Sam flipped the station back to 100.5, and started driving again. "Where are we going now? NOT to the radio station, right?" Hayden said, eyeing the road warily. Sam shrugged and said she was thirsty, and they were pulling up into the local Starbucks.

Hayden limped into the Starbucks behind Sam, and gazed lazily up at the choice board. She already knew what she wanted, she ordered the coffee frappuccino. Sam knew this, so she let her order it for her. Turning around to head outside and back to the truck, she heard the dinging sound of another customer coming in. She started to move out of the way for the customer to pass until she looked up and saw who it was. Matt Webb. Of Marianas Trench. The same band Josh was part of. Right there. She looked away before she could be thought of as staring, and moved out of the way for him to pass, knowing that even if she recognized him, Matt had only seen her once and probably didn't remember her. She quickly dashed the now-rised hopes of possibly getting to talk to Josh again, and looked down and stared at her shoes, disappointed.

-X- Josh sighed as he scrolled through his e-mails. Finally he went back to the top of the list, and went through, deleting all junk. He didn’t want to win a free ipod, nor did he want to go on a blind date with someone from Yugoslavia. Then he opened the very first e-mail, which was from a fan. He sighed, thinking about the 180 other e-mails he’d have to read through, wishing he hadn’t given his main e-mail to the public. He began to read through, smiling as he did so. For some reason, fan e-mails always made him smile.

Dear Josh.
I hope that didn’t sound too formal. You are the most amazing singer in the world, and you’re such a cutie, which makes listening to your music so much better. I have one question though… Do you actually read these? And reply? Because if you do read them, replies are nice. Just so that people know that you actually take the time to read our e-mails. I hope you read this. You’re one of my role models, and I really do look up to you. I can’t wait to listen to what other masterpieces of music you come up with next.

Love always, Caitlyn

Josh smiled, and quickly pressed the reply button, wanting to get in at least one reply before the other three left the coffee shop.

Dear Caitlyn.
“Dear so, and so” is never too formal. If anything, it’s very polite, and proper. I appreciate the time you took to make yourself sound intelligent. I also appreciate the nice things you said about me, and my voice. We are both absolutely swelling with joy, over the fact that we are loved. And I do so reply to my fan mail! I am right now, aren’t I? I may skip a few here of there, because I get like… 100 a day, but I do my best to reply to them when I have time. Which I usually do. Did you know what driving across Canada can be a very long, and boring process? I can’t wait to hear what I come up with as well. Stay cool, Cait.

Love Josh.

-X- Josh smiled as he pressed send, and opened another one, yawning as he read through it. He chuckled as he read what little content it had, and typed out a quick response.

will u marry me?
-tina <3

Well gee…
I don’t see what it would hurt, although, I only know your first name, and your e-mail address. Maybe make a questionnaire, then fill it out, and send yours to me, and I will also do one. See how compatible we are?

I look forward to hearing back from you.
-Josh.

Josh smirked as he pressed send, and was just about to open another e-mail, when he heard the chimes on the door ring. He instantly looked up, hoping to see Matt, and his frapp, but instead he saw the back of a girls head. His eyes widened, and he recognized the face behind the hair, and quickly put his blackberry away, before pushing away from the wall, and walking quickly after her.

-X- He walked up behind her, and waiting until he was directly behind her, before he reached out and tapped her shoulder. He was a little nervous, because he wasn’t sure if it really was Hayden, but she had the same body type, the same hair, and was hobbling around, although she appeared to have no injury. He tapped her shoulder gently, and smiled shyly as she turned. ”Hello stranger” He said, brushing his blue hair from his eyes, and pulling off his sunglasses, so that she could see his face, and wouldn’t think he was some creepy guy who just walked over to her randomly.

{{Ohh-Ohh-Cee: Oh gee, well that was a fail. Sorry it sucks so bad D: }}

And I don't want the world to S E E me

▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Hayden kept her face down as she walked back up to Sam, who was ordering their drinks, and said,"Um, Sam? I think I'll just wait in the car." Her disappointment colored her voice, and Sam, hyper-aware of all things Hayden, immediately picked p that something was up. She let it be for the moment, though, and nodded, looking Hayden over apprehensively. Hayden gave nothing away, but turned around and headed back out of the store, the familiar dinging of the bell followed her out. She glanced around until she spotted the rusted chevy before beginning to cross the lot.

Hayden was staring at her shoes again as she limped to Sam's truck. She heard some footstep coming from behind her, but decided to ignore them. It was probably just another customer anyway. ...But do customers follow other customers across the parking lot? Now Hayden was freaking out a little, and nearly jumped out of her skin when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She whirled around quickly, prepared to shield herself from whoever it was targeting her. Until she saw who it actually was, that is. He tipped his sunglasses and a pair of familiar blue eyes peered shyly back at her.
"Hello, stranger."
Hayden stood rock-still, studying his face, making sure it was actually him. Not just some weird hallucination, and the man was really a molester or something. But he just stood there, now shifting a bit uncomfortably, and Hayden was sure it was Josh. She smiled then, and answered, "Hello to you too, stranger." They were standing beside the curbs, and Hayden started to step out of the road to talk. But, of course, that was the moment her body decided to be clumsy, and her foot slipped, throwing her sideways onto the pavement. She scraped her elbow a little, and she hit her knee again. "Ow...ow..." Red with embarrassment, pale from the pain in her knee, she turned her head and slowly picked herself off the ground and stood on her right leg. Oh, God. Could I be look anymore stupid?! I actually get the chance to talk to him again, and I screw it up in the first three seconds. Nice, she mentally shouted at herself.

Glancing back up at Josh, still red with mortification, Hayden checked to see his reaction. More like she was waiting for him to burst out laughing and call her a loser and walk away. She sucked in a breath and waited for the verdict.

-X- A smile formed on Josh’s face as Hayden turned, happy to see that it was actually her. He opened his mouth to speak again, but instead he just gasped as Hayden fell. ”Whoa, hey. Are you okay?” He asked her, leaning down to help her up. He looked at her scraped elbow and grimaced. ”Seriously, how do you manage this?” He asked, putting his sunglasses back on, and pushing his messy hair back over his eyes. Then he gave Hayden an impish grin, and picked her up, just as he had only a few nights ago. He carried her towards the tour bus, happy no one was really around, and set Hayden down gently, still keeping her arm around his shoulder, since he could see how much her knee was hurting her. He tapped on the of the bus, and the doors opened. Josh then picked Hayden up once more, and carried her carefully up the stairs, and down the narrow length of the bus.

-X- Josh walked through the open door of his bedroom, and placed Hayden gently on the bed. ”Stay here.” He said, then walked out. He tapped his legs with his fingers as he walked, creating a beat as he entered the now clean bathroom. He looked through the first aid kit, and pulled out a couple of bandages, a tensor band, and some poly-sporran, and made his way back to the room. He sat down beside her, and handed her the sporran and the bandages, and then fiddled with the tensor band while he waited for her to finish. ”I hope I didn’t steal you away from anyone. Matt’s probably going to kill me for leaving the Starbucks. Do you mind?” He asked, holding up the bandage. Then he kneeled on the floor, and rolled up her pants carefully, and wrapped the band around her knee, tight enough that it would help with the pain, but lose enough that it wouldn’t cut off her circulation. Then he rolled her pants back down and smiled. ”Better?” He asked, running his fingers through his hair, hoping he hadn’t made an idiot of himself.

Hayden sighed with relief as he helped her up. She's expected he would just laugh at her. She smiled a tiny smile and nodded when he asked if she was ok. She flushed again when Josh checked her elbow, "Uhh, yea. I'm a bit of a klutz." Dusting herself off, she looked around to make sure no one else had seen her blunder, but was contented to find they were alone in the parking lot.

Then Josh put his sunglasses back on, giving Hayden a wide grin, before picking her up again- just like at the concert. Hayden gasped, startled, and looked wildly at him with a look that said 'Are you crazy?!' But he just carried her around the far side of the building, where the band's tour bus was cleverly hidden. He knocked on the door and it opened for them, and Josh walked down a narrow walkway to an area that had cushions and a few pillows, with sheet music strewn across everything. Setting her down, Josh said, "Stay here," and walked off to somewhere on the bus. Hayden heard his rattle some things around, and when he returned he had bandages and poly-sporran. Handing her the bandages and cream, he held onto a tensor band. She quickly rubbed some of the ointment on her scraped elbow, and stuck a bandage on tight, while Josh said, "I hope I didn’t steal you away from anyone. Matt’s probably going to kill me for leaving the Starbucks. Do you mind?” Hayden looked up from her elbow to him and shook her head. "But my friend is still in the store. She's probably noticed that Matt is in there by now, and is screaming her head off, though," she mumbled, rolling her eyes at the thought.

Hayden rolled up her pants leg so Josh could re-wrap it. Her knee wasn't bruised or swollen anymore, but it was an angry red because of the recent fall she'd taken. She winced when she saw it, but t didn't hurt at all as Josh carefully wrapped it up. He tapped the velcro into place, and Hayden slowly swung her leg a bit, testing it. he bandage wasn't too loose, nor too tight. "Thanks a lot. It's perfect!" she thrilled, standing up and putting pressure on it to test it out. She looked up at him again and gave Josh a big smile. She's made a totally fool of herself in front of him not once, but twice, and he'd helped her not once, but twice. She was extremely grateful. "Thank you, really. I seriously owe you. Oh, by the way, what are you doing here? You don't have a concert here, do you?" Hayden continued, remembering that Josh's band was on a tour. This was just an average small town, and what were the chances that an encounter like this would ever happen?

-X- Josh laughed as he thought about some girl just screaming at Matt. ”He probably wont mind. He loves screaming girls” Josh said, giving Hayden a smile. Then Josh smiled as Hayden tested out her leg, and laughed as she jumped around. ”It’s just about having it the right tightness. It was really no problem” Josh said, running his fingers through his hair. Josh smiled as Hayden said she owed him, and his duet came to mind. He quickly shook the thought off, thinking she had just said that to be nice. Why would she want to tour around with a bunch of boys anyway? Just to sing one song every night?

-X- Josh sat down on the bed beside her, and leaned back on his arms. ”We didn’t have a show tonight. So my mom scheduled us for a radio interview instead, Since we were going to be passing through.” Josh said, taking a minute to look at Hayden. He had mostly only seen her in darkness, and in the florescence of the dressing room lights. What he liked about her, is that she was easy to talk to, and she didn’t make a big deal over the fact that Josh Ramsay was talking to her, but instead she actually listened. His thoughts from earlier came floating back, about wanting a girl who treated him like a human, not a punk-pop star. He sighed, and blushed when he realized that he had just been staring at her, not saying anything. ”it’s really nice to see you again, Hayden. I really enjoyed talking to you last time we saw each other” Josh said, running his fingers nervously through his hair once more.

Hayden continued hopping to and fro, using the cover of test her leg out to glance up at Josh every few moments. She thought it was kind of weird, the way she acted around him. She became klutzy, she didn't just stay silent as she did with other people (besides Sam, of course), and actually, she hardly remembered that he was famous. She felt normal when she talked to him, and felt like he was normal, too, not an idolized vocalist that happened to be in her favorite band. Hayden got tired of her jumping around, and she paused to catch her breath. "I think it's a totally weird coincidence that you guys happened to pass through. I'm psyched you did, don't get me wrong, but isn't it odd? Like fate, or something," Hayden mused, sitting back down on the bed. She stared off into space before she realized what she was saying. Cheeks flushing, she looked out the bus window, wanting to melt away into nothing right then. 'Like fate', huh. How corny can you get?

Hayden kept staring out the window, the pressure of Josh's gaze boring into her. Her face cooled after a moment, but she didn't turn back to face him. She'd just go scarlet again. Hayden didn't know what to say now, anything she thought of seemed either just or twice as stupid as her previous comment. But the silence didn't hold for long. "It’s really nice to see you again, Hayden. I really enjoyed talking to you last time we saw each other," he said with an awkward sigh. Hayden turned to him and watched him run his fingers nervously through his hair. With a small smile she mumbled in reply. "Same here. I was expecting you to be an arrogant pig-head when I first met you. But you're very nice, and it's fun talking to you.I feel a bit ashamed now, prejudice isn't a good quality." She looked down for a moment before continuing.

"But that's what's really weird about this," she added, gesturing to the two of them,"I...Normally, I never say anything to anyone. I'm quiet in the extreme, and some people in my school are convinced that I'm mute. And I'm very composed, I don't normally trip over things. But with you...I don't know. I can't seem to shut up, and for some reason, everytime I'm near you, I do something to hurt myself." She sucked in a breath and returned her gaze to the window.

_________ ...Don't you ever tell me I'm not loving you best.

-X- Josh laughed. "I guess it could be fate. Maybe I'm supposed to stay near you, so that you don't get killed" Josh said, suddenly thrilled by the idea of having to spend a lot of time with Hayden, though he wasn't sure why. Josh smiled at Hayden and looked at the ceiling. "That's everyone's first impression of me. Snobby, arrogant. I like getting to know people... Not by just saying 'Hey I'm Josh. I'm in a band, how about you?' But more... Trusting people with more personal stuff... And seeing how they take it. Do they judge me? Do they go off and tell someone? Or do they cherish my trust, and keep my secrets.?" Josh said, giving Hayden a smile. "To be my friend, I have to trust you. Simple as that. Hayden, I'd consider you my friend" Josh said happily, getting a strange flutter in his stomach when he said her name. "I'm glad your opinion changed though. And I'm glad that you speak to me like a normal person." Josh said, his eye sparkling as he looked at Hayden. He had finally met a girl who treated him normal. Who he trusted, and who he could talk to. Was it fate? Or was it just a mad coincidence? Josh didn't much believe in fate, but it seemed to be pretty odd, that he would see Hayden twice, and both times he had an easy conversation with her. He felt normal, and even though he was afraid of his words being judged, part of him didn't think Hayden was like that. Josh blushed as Hayden looked at him, and hoped she wouldn't notice.

-X- Josh frowned as Hayden started talking about what she was normally like. He couldn't imagine Hayden not speaking. She was the first girl he could really talk to other then his other, which was totally lame. Although, he couldn't admit it to himself, he was starting to like her, which probably wasn't a good thing. When Josh fell for someone, something always went wrong, which then made his next love interest even more difficult. Josh couldn't help but laugh as Hayden said she didn't usually fall. "I'm sorry. It was rude of me to laugh. Maybe I'm the problem then... Maybe we should never speak again.." Josh said, mysteriously, and sadly at the same time. Then he smiled at her, and nudged her arm. "But I don't think I'd do well with that. You're the first girl I can really talk to, and I'd hate to lose a friend like that. We'll just bring first aid kits, whenever I'm around you, Kay?" Josh said, just as his blackberry began ringing. He smiled apologetically at Hayden, then pressed accept and held it to his ear. "Hello?" Josh said. Matt spoke into the phone, sending little squawks through the tiny speaker. "I'm on the bus.... I know you said not to move.... Because.... Because I saw Hayden.... Yes Hayden..... yeah, what one..... Her friend is looking for her?.... Then bring her back to the bus. We don't have to leave for another hour or so, so we have chill time, before we have to go... Okay... Okay... See you soon" Josh said, then hung up. "Okay so... Lucky you. You get to hang out with the band for a bit. Or just me... Or anyone you want. Matt is bringing your friend, so don't worry about her" Josh said, then his eyes landed on his guitar, which was standing up in the corner. He got up, and walked over to it. He picked it up, and carried it back to the bed, sitting down beside her. Then he pulled his Lyric book from between his mattress, and got out a high lighter, and when over all the harmony with the high lighter. "Want to help me with this song? I've never been able to sing the entire thing, because it's a duet. The parts you would sing are high lighted. We have just enough time to go over it before they get back... What do you think?" Josh said, handing her the book, so that she could read through the lyrics before she decided.

-X- Josh smiled when Hayden agreed, then began playing the soft melody, then he began singing, and smiled when she joined in, amazed at how well their voices sounded together.

"Everyone's around, no words are coming out.
And I can't find my breath, can we just say the rest, with no sound?
I know it's not enough, I still don't measure up.
I know I'm not prepared, sorrys' never there, when you need it.

and I do, want you to know; I'll hold you up above everyone.

and I do, want you to know; I think that you'd be good to me.
And I'd be so good to you

I thought I saw a sign, somewhere between the lines.
But maybe it's me, maybe I only see what I want.
I still have your letter, just got caught between,
Someone I've just invented, who I really am, and I've become.

And I do want you to know
I'll hold you up above everyone
And I do want you to know
I think you'd be good to me
And I'd be so good to you
I would

And I do want you to know
I'll hold you up above everyone
And I do want you to know
I think you'd be good to me
And I'd be so good to you

I'd be good to you
I'd be good to you
I'd be good to you (I'd be so good to you)

I'd be good to you
I'd be good to you
I'd be good to you (I'd be so good to you) "

As they finished, Josh smiled. The fluttery feeling in his stomach had gotten worse, and his eyes were twinkling as he looked at Hayden. "You sounded so good..." Josh said, panting a little, like he always did after he sang. Then he sighed and looked at the ground. "I wish I could sing this on tour..." Josh said quietly, staring at his shoes as he spoke.

Hayden's face lit up when Josh said he considered her a friend. She thought it was odd that something like that would make her so happy, but then he said that maybe they shouldn't ever speak again, and she felt a crushing sadness that obliterated any previous emotion. Not only that, but Hayden was sure Josh's face was as sullen as hers. She didn't like it, his sad face, she wanted to see him smile more. But just as quickly as Josh had changed the mood, he did it again. When he nudged her arm, her heart stuttered hyper-actively, and her cheeks grew red again.

She giggled when he said the bit about the first aid kit. The image was hilarious, Josh, walking around carrying a huge white box with a red cross on it, running from crazed fans he met down the street. Hayden was so distracted by Josh, she nearly jumped out of her skin when his phone rang. With an apologetic smile, he flipped it open and mumbled for a second into the phone. It must've been someone from the band, because he boredly began explained where he was to whomever was yelling through the phone. Okay... Okay... See you soon," he said into the phone before quickly closing it and putting it back in his pocket. Hayden wasn't paying attention much to what he was doing after that. She was too busy trying to calm her heart, which sputtered into over-drive when he'd said her name. That was all, Josh just said her name, but she felt warm all over. She couldn't question why, it was pretty obvious now. She had a huge crush on Josh, but that made her just like any other fan. If Josh found out, he'd be disappointed in her, probably wouldn't speak to her again. Her happiness came crashing down around her, and Hayden was hardly aware that Josh was waving some sheet music in front of her.

When she snapped out of it, she took the paper and looked at the writing scribbled on it. There were lyrics, and Hayden recognized a few of them as the ones Josh had been singing to himself when she'd found him hanging out backstage. It was a duet, and Josh was strumming his guitar and beginning the first verse. She swallowed, not sure she'd be able to sing her part. Closing her eyes tightly, she went for it, and unexpectedly, she pretty good. The lyrics began to move her, and she swayed in synch with the tune.

Everyones around
No words are coming now
And I can't find my breath, can we just say the rest with no sound?
And none of this is enough
I still don't measure up
And I'm not prepared, sorry is never there when you need it

And now I do, want you to know I hold you up above everyone
And I do, want you to know I think you'd be good to me and I'd be so good to you

Ahhh, ohhh

I thought I saw the sign
Somewhere bwteen the lines
Or maybe it's me, maybe I only see what I want

Well I still have your letter
Just got caught between someone I just invented
Who I really am
and become

And now I do want you to know
I hold you up above everyone
And I do want you to know I think you'd be good to me
and I'd be so good to you

And I do want you to know
I hold you up above everyone
And I do
Want you to know I think you'd be good to me
And I'd be so good to you

I'd be good to you
I'd be good to you
I'd be good to you (I'd be so good to you)

I'd be good to you
I'd be good to you
I'd be good to you (I'd be so good to you)

Hayden was out of breath when the song was finished. She smiled as she leaned back on the bed and caught her breath. "This...you were singing this when I found you after the concert. It's beautiful..." she said, the sentiment ruined by the fact she was puffing. He said she sounded so good, and it sent her heart on a marathon all over again. Closing her eyes she leaned her head back toward the ceiling. Then a voice came from behind them, startling her. "Ahem...Well, that was interesting," Hayden's eyes flew open, and she saw Matt Webb leaning against the door behind Josh, a mischievious grin a mile wide on his face. And from over his shoulder was Sam, peering wide-eyed at her in amazement. Hayden's face went scarlet red when she realized that they'd had an audience, and she ducked her head and hid behind her hair, mortified beyond words. Sam knew the action all too well, and side-stepped Matt and sat beside her and put a comforting arm around her. "No, no, hon. You sounded amazing! It blew my mind, girl. Why didn't you tell me you had a voice like that?" Sam said soothingly, rubbing Hayden's arm. But Hayden kept her face down, still beet red.

-X- Still panting, Josh smiled at Hayden, and ran his fingers through his hair. "Thanks... It was.. I wish I could have sang the whole thing for you then" He said, freezing all motions, even his breathing when he heard Matt cough. "Ahem... Well, that was interesting" Matt said, smirking at Josh. Josh blushed and looked at his pants, then back up at the girl behind Matt. she must be Hayden's friend Josh thought to himself. Josh was a little surprised, when the girl behind Matt ran after him, over to Hayden, who was hiding behind her hair. Is she ashamed to be caught singing with me? Josh thought to himself, lowering his head, and standing to put his guitar away. As he was walking back to the bed, Matt met eyes with him, and raised an eyebrow. Josh shook his head, and Matt beckoned for Josh to go into the hall. Josh shook his head once more and Matt sighed. "Joshua, I would like a moment with you..." Matt said. Josh groaned, and took one last look at Hayden and her friend, before stepping into the hall.

-X- "What?" Josh asked, as Matt dragged him away from the door, which was now closed. "You like her" Matt said accusingly. Josh's eyes grew wide. Was he really that obvious? He blushed, when he realized that if Matt could figure it out, so could Hayden. "No I don't. She's nice... And I wanted to try out the duet." Josh said defensively. Matt rolled his eyes and raised an eyebrow at Josh. "Dude, come on. We've known each other for how long? I can tell.. You sang with more emotion then any concert. You smiled at her likes she's the most super thing in the entire world. You're trusting her with personal stuff." Matt said. Josh glared at him, and folded his hands in front of him. "I'm a very trusting person. Plus, that song is just an emotional song. Plus, you know I smile at everything" Josh said back. Matt let out an exasperated sigh and rolled his eyes. "You're full of s**t. You like her, and you gotta admit that to yourself. Just don't screw it up... She seems like she'd be 'good to you'" Matt said, before walking past

-X- Josh stared at the wall, his mouth partially open. He shook his head slowly, then finally forced his feet to move. He walked back into the room, and sat on the bed, between Matt and Hayden, when Hayden's friend on the other side. Josh then picked up his lyric book, and closed it, before stuffing it back between the mattress. Then he sighed and looked at the ceiling, but as his eyes moved, he noticed Matt giving Hayden's friend flirty looks, which caused Josh to start laughing so hard, that he almost fell off the bed. Matt would flirt with anything female, and Hayden's friend was no exception apparently. When Josh finally composed himself, he raised an eyebrow at Matt, who smiled sheepishly, and then stared at the wall. "Okay well... I'm going to get something to drink. Anyone want something?" Josh asked, standing up, and facing the others.

When Matt pulled Josh into the next room, Hayden took the opportunity to talk with Sam. "Oh my gosh, I can't believe I actually started singing! I sounded ridiculous, didn't I? Ughh, so embarrassing...How long were you guys standing there?" Hayden whispered to Sam behind the curtain of hair. She normally sung in the shower, but the closest she'd gotten to a duet was singing along to her iPod. Sam giggled and patted her back before saying,"Well, I saw Matt in Starbucks and he recognized you I guess, 'cause then he told me to follow him to the tour bus. I was freaking out, but then we heard your voice from the window. We snuck on quietly and listened to the rest. Sorry...But you and Josh were awesome! And no, you did not sound ridiculous. Stop beating yourself up." This made Hayden feel a lot better, and she slowly brushed her hair out of her face when her face cooled down.

Sam was silent for a moment, scrutinizing Hayden's expression. Then she grinned her signature ear-to-ear grin, and green eyes twinkling. Hayden flushed, she knew what this meant. Sam always had a way of knowing things without people telling her. She could read Hayden like a book, and today was no exception. Sam didn't voice what they both knew now, though, she didn't want to embarrass Hayden if Josh overheard them talking about Hayden's recently-discovered feelings for him. Hayden groaned and looked to the ceiling, escaping Sam's intense gaze. Sam just kept grinning and shaking her head, blonde hair fwipping about as she choked back her laughter. "Is my love life really that amusing?" Hayden growled irritatedly under her breath when Sam didn't stop.

Matt and Josh came back in after a few moments, Matt looking annoyed and Josh looking...was it shocked? Dazed? They both sat down on the other side of her, Josh in between her and Matt. Despite the distance, Hayden could've sworn she saw Matt shooting Sam 'the look'. Josh burst out laughing, rocking the bed hard before raising a brow at him meaningfully. Hayden whipped around to Sam, reading her reaction. And there it was, the once-in-a-lifetime moment when Sam showed exactly what she felt. Red face clashing with her green eyes, Sam looked sheepishly back at Hayden when she noticed her stare. With an impish smile, Hayden poked her friend's shoulder and whispered "Ha! Now we're even." Josh's laughed ceased then and he sat staring at the wall or a second before suddenly getting up and asking for drinks. "Um, Coke, please." "I'll have the usual." Hayden thought for a moment before answering, "Anything. I don't have a preference."

Josh walked out of the room to go fetch the drinks, and there was an awkward silence. Glancing back and forth between Matt and Sam, Hayden felt like a third wheel. Slipping off of the bed, Hayden asked where the restroom was, and retreated inside it when Matt pointed to it down the narrow hall. Leaving the door open a crack, she closed the top of the toilet and sat down, sighing. She could hear Matt and Sam talking quietly to each other now, and she smiled, happy that Sam was enjoying herself, too. She was surprised that she'd remained calm around any of the band members, but she was proud of her for it. Hayden quietly hummed to herself to tune them out, giving them some privacy.

-X- Josh nodded, and gave Hayden a small smile before ducking out of the room, towards the small kitchen. He skipped a little as he walked, shuffling his feet in some sort of wacky dance, smiling to himself as he stopped in the kitchen. Ian raised an eyebrow at him, and Josh laughed. "Hey happy. As much as I loved it... What's with the little jiggy?" Ian asked, attempting to copy Josh's little dance while sitting. Josh shrugged and opened the fridge, gasping as he saw his frappuccino sitting in the fridge. "Dunno. Just in a good mood, I guess." Josh said, grabbing his frappuccino, a coke, and Matt's drink from the fridge, then he began searching for something for Hayden, not wanting to give her something she wouldn't like. "Might this 'good mood' have anything to do with seeing Hayden again? I heard you two got along pretty good." Ian said, giving Josh his 'I know what you did last night' smile. Josh groaned and stood up straight. "We did not make out!" Josh said, his voice sounding exasperated. At first Ian looked taken aback, and then he began to laugh. "I never said you did. Your mom just said that you two seemed to be getting along... Although, now that you mention making out... Did you?" Ian asked, raising an eyebrow at Josh again. "No..." Josh muttered, then went back to searching the fridge for something for Hayden to drink. Ian chuckled, causing Josh to straight up and look at him again. "but you wanted to, right?" Ian asked. Josh rolled his eyes, and pulled out another can of Coke, giving up on trying to be creative. "No. Mr.Immature." Josh scoffed at him, then turned to walk back to the room, only to be stopped by Ian's voice. "But you do like her. Right?" Ian asked. Josh closed his eyes, then continued walking, not even turning to look at Ian. "That's what I thought!" Ian shouted to Josh, who just continued laughing, leaving Ian laughing by himself in the kitchen.

-X- Josh continued walking, shaking his head as he thought about what Ian had said. Sure he liked her, but he couldn't tell her that. He was a musician, and he was always off doing stuff, or playing shows. Plus, the distance between them, and the reporters would eat her alive. Plus, she didn't really seem all that into him. She really didn't seem into him at all, almost like seeing him had been a bad thing. He sighed, and walked past the bathroom, back stepping as he heard humming from through the door, which was open just a crack. He put the drinks down on the floor, and knocked on the floor lightly, ignoring his increased heart beat as he saw Hayden sitting on the closed toilet. He smiled sheepishly and stood uncomfortably in the doorway. "Y'know, it usually helps to close the door.. Otherwise someone is bound to come in..." Josh said, shifting his weight from one foot to the other. Then he sat down on the bathroom counter across from him, and stared at his shoes, while playing absent minded with the string on his sweater. Then he let out a big bunch of air, and looked back at Hayden. "So... Why are you hiding out in the bathroom?" He asked. Then he stepped down, and walked into the hall, grabbing his frapp, and one of the Cola's and walked back in, handing her the cola, then taking a small sip from his drink while he waited for a reply.
