Melanie Valeria Cranes

☈ So far the day had been pretty terrible and of course half of the student body would be badly beaten or bruised for that matter. Why? Exams at Riot Academy had been the kind that required physical contact. Not so fun. Melanie had declared it as the worse day, not only that, but someone had decided to see if they'd end up as some kind of walking lightning rod. That only proceeded to piss off the girl. Instead of using her 'ability' she allowed her fists to do the talking supposedly for this round. No one had really specified as to whether or not students could use their abilities or resort just to using their fists. Exams were brutal and not many really liked them not that Melanie could really blame them. Even on her off time she still sat in the forest that divided up the middle and high school sections. Shaking one hand to get some circulation back into it, a bruise could clearly be seen at the top of her hand. How utterly obnoxious. Leaning against the base of one of her favorite trees, better known as, quite literaly as 'the base tree'. For hiding in branches above and looking down below at what would happen. No doubt that exams had rendered some tired, possibly even defenseless. Snorting at that thought while blue hazel flecked eyes closed against bright sunlight streaming down towards the female. Fighting, exams and everything that whole day had taken any and all left over energy away from the now still female.

☇ Eyes suddenly snapping open at a thought. Someone would surely come into this forest and see her napping. Or they would think that she'd be napping. Standing up rather slowly as if someone had forced her to run some kind of marathon, patting away at dust and debris away from the jeans. Taking a slow deep breath before exhaling and reaching for the first branch, hoisting herself up. At least being in gymnastics as a kid had paid off, sort of, not quite but almost. Keeping steady for a few seconds as if not doing so would cause falling back towards the ground; which really hadn't been so far down. Reaching one hand up while leaving the other branch to suppport her feet and from there the female lightly flipped a little here and there as though it were a gymnastics bar she were on, as if it were completely normal. Finally reaching what had been considered as 'point of vision'. Yawning lightly as eyes scanned around the surroundings. Oh yeah, the younger middle schoolers looked pretty beat up, even she could see that from the view available. Leaning against another branch, keeping back towards the sturdy oak tree, allowing one leg to dangle aimlessly and keeping the other one on the branch for weight support. That fall would hurt like freaking heck. And she, for one, would know that. "Hm, wonder how those others did?" Of course refering to other students she'd seen, Gab being one and there were a few others. Although their faces seemed unrecognizable. Perhaps due from staying around only those that she knew?

☈ Light frown etching across her face, mouth pursued and drawn in a straight line. At least for now no one would cause too much trouble. But then again karma and bad luck had a knack for not liking those that did 'rounds' as usual during school days, during exams also; to cause trouble. So that'd be like jinxing themselves. Not like anything else could go wrong. Of course, what did Melanie know? Something could possibly go wrong and she'd not even notice it that or not even give a damn at that moment. Exams were murder quite literally at times in facts due to having perform with either ones fists or abilities, with a capital 'M'. And whoever caused any issues that day would end up getting on Mel's last nerve. So far she'd gone through only two opponents, one with fists and one with power. As required by the teachers just so they could see how well the female's abilities had grown. And from that she had gotten a cut on her cheek, bruise atop right hand along with another bruise clear as daylight apparent on her left wrist. Someone had intentionally done that, not that she cared then. Oh, and that lovely cut on her back. Either Gab would hurt her first or go after who had done that to his friend and then come back to scold the poor girl 'til her ears probably fell off.

☇ Irritating, absolutely nerve wrecking irritating. Not that Mel could blame Gab he was like a brother to her and even around exam times her friend seemed to get somewhat more protective although knowing good and well that she could take care of herself. Unless being careless on purpose, which she'd actually done for a reason. Being that of a 'danger' around others her ability had toned down only by a notch. Just a little. Not much, but still enough. Closing eyes again while thinking about how terribly her scolding would go. Light grin now gracing her features while thinking about who'd cause issues first. That would surely lighten up the mood completely. Gathering up energy that had been left over just to knock some sense into someone. Then again just letting it go would save both her and whoever it would be some trouble. Plus getting beaten up twice in one day, stupid exams; oddly just made her sleepy. Closing eyes once again as leaves rustling entered the black and red haired girls ears. Listening intently, even with eyes closed other senses were still at work for sure. Such as hearing though that'd fade unless someone were to yell for no reason. As some did. Folding hands over legs right as the sounds began to blend with one another.
