Welcome to Gaia! ::

Sera moved closer to Danny so that she could be touching him in some form. Actually, Sera would become extremely clingy in a relationship, just she didn't know it.
"I see," Sera nodded. "I guess that makes sense too."
She touched his shoulder, her fingers gently running over him for a few moments almost as if she were pondering.
"Danny," Sera whispered softly, but then she paused. She furrowed her brow as if wondering and then continued. "Would you sleep with me tonight?" she whispered.
Danny was a little taken off guard by this and really didn't know how to respond. He had never done anything like this so soon into a relationship and it sort of concerned him.
"Sera, you know I vowed I wouldn't do that again 'til I was married," he told her. "And we've really only known each other a few weeks. You're really askin' this of me?"
Sera had to stop and try to figure out what Danny was talking about. She tilted her head to the side as she continued to gently touch his shoulder.
"What? Oh-no," she said quickly and quietly. "I would not... ask such a thing of you," she told him. "I didn't mean that... I mean... if you would sleep beside me... tonight," Sera tried to correct herself a little more.
She did wonder how Danny came to think of that first, but perhaps she had worded it wrong.
"You can sleep under the covers and I'll sleep atop them if you'd like. I like sleeping cooler anyway..."
Danny raised a brow as he considered it a moment before finally shaking his head.
"No...I'm sorry but I don't think that'd be a good idea," he said honestly. "Not now at least." The fact came up again that they still hadn't known each other very well and although he could move quickly at times, he didn't want to move that quickly. Also, they were in a stranger's home and he thought that would be a little strange, and rude to be caught like that. Also, Danny was very easily tempted, despite Sera's supposed comfort in his trustworthiness. "I'd just rather not risk something happenin,' you know. Not to say that it would, but it might..."
Sera felt like pulling back and away from Danny. She thought herself slightly rejected, but she did not stop touching Danny's shoulder as she had been doing.
"Okay," she whispered softly.
Sera had known that Danny would most likely reject, so she had braced herself for his words, although they did slightly hurt. But Sera didn't know how a relationship really worked and she thought that she could fully trust Danny.
He didn't want to sleep beside her however, so there was nothing she could do about it.
"Then... I bid you goodnight," she whispered.
Danny didn't think that Sera should take this personally, nor did he notice that she did. But he knew her previous feelings on things and he didn't want to be tempted into something that might hurt them more than it might benefit them. He didn't think any different of her though.
Easily he leaned forward and kissed her forehead, moving a hand to touch her shoulder as well and squeezing it lightly.
"Goodnight, Sera," he said before pulling back and standing to his feet.
As Danny moved away, Sera let her hand fall, for she wouldn't move from her spot on the bed.
She offered a small smile to her since she had already told him goodnight. She wished to stay up and talk to him, or at least just be in his presence. But Danny was heading to bed now and she should as well.
Sera personally didn't know what to talk to Danny about, or at least what he'd be interested in. That one day they had their conversation at his house was a day that Sera would do just about anything to replicate into another, minus the drama at the end.
"See you in the morning," she smiled. Danny's kiss had taken her offguard, but it made her feel a little better on the inside.
Danny smiled and nodded as he headed for the door.
"Sweet dreams," he told her as he slipped through the door, pausing at the threshhold a moment as he gazed over at her, feeling a small flicker of pride bubbling within his chest at the thought of finally having another partner. He could only hope that this time around might end better than the others.
Sera watched Danny, even whenever he stopped. Once he had gone, she settled back down in her bed to sleep. Her previous feelings, which she had found to be odd, fled after Danny's show of affection.
She turned off the light and closed her eyes as she laid down on her bed. She just hoped that maybe tomorrow would be a better day for all of them.
Sera knew that she had until the end of the week to pretty much decide what she was going to do with the rest of her life and the thought scared her, and also left her feeling lonely.
Danny was a little unsure about the two of them really only having a week together, actually less than a week now. The day hadn't gone quite as planned and it had been hard and stressful for the both of them. But having rather strong feeligns for her, Danny was determined to try and get something strong and lasting out of this relationship and if not, then at least a lesson would be learned for the both of them and hopefully to both their benefit.

The next morning, Danny was the first up and into the kitchen, making a little breakfast for everyone, even Aunt Rose, who was a little surprised, but appreciative and ate her fill before leaving for the day.
Sera was thankful for the breakfast whenever she finally pulled herself from bed. She had slept in that morning, although she hadn't planned on it. Sera had stayed up late, just thinking and staring at the ceiling and so ended up sleeping in rather late. Whenever she got up and dressed, Ms. Rose had already gone.
Sera had chosen to wear her purple dress that she had picked out with Danny, but tried to make sure that she hid the little bra straps since Danny had seemed a little odd about that whenever she had purchased it.
She would go job hunting again that day and so thought more about it while she ate, staying quiet during breakfast.
Danny smiled as Sera got up that morning. He had to admit that he very much liked her dress and it was very flattering of her figure.
"G'mornin,'" he greeted her. "Did you sleep well? You look mighty nice today."
He smiled at her as he joined her for breakfast. He had been waiting on her to wake up before eating breakfast himself.
Sera was still a little tired and wondered for a few if Danny had actually said that, or if she had imagined it.
"Th-thank you," she told him, still a little unsure of his morning attitude. She noticed that he ate whenever she ate and she wished that he would have eaten earlier, for it made her feel guilty.
"I'm sorry that I kept you waiting this morning. I should have set an alarm or something..." Sera picked at her food a little at first before she began eating it. Danny was a really nice cook, she had to give him that. She moved some of her hair behind her ear and out of her way, every now and then glancing over at him.
"So... what're you doing today?" she asked.
"No, it's fine," Danny assured her. "I wanted to wait. And I had a cup of coffee too, so I wasn't starvin' or anything." He smiled at her as he ate his breakfast a moment, then she posed another question. "Oh...I dunno. I didn't really have anything planned for the day besides our date tonight, I s'pose. I didn't bring any nice clothes...should I go get something nice?"
Sera shrugged as she ate.
"Only if you want to," she told him. "I believe that you'd be fine. What I saw of the place seemed sort of normal, nothing fancy or whatever."
It didn't take Sera long to finish up her helping and since there was some left over she fixed another plate, knowing she wouldn't be selfish to help not to waste.
"I'm going job hunting again today. I figured I'd try another building, along with pricing apartments," she said as she sat down.
