Welcome to Gaia! ::

Sera didn't want Danny leaving, but she understood his reasoning, even before his story.
"I'm so sorry that you went through so much," she told him as she sipped from her glass. "And I agree with you that if you have no purpose here, then your family could certainly use you home."
Sera thought for a little while on what she would do. She still needed to find a job and she figured that uprooting and going back would Danny would only put her in the way of him and his family. She also wasn't very fond of manual labor such as what they did in the country. She didn't know what would happen, but she didn't want to think about it just then anyway.
She worked her way back into the conversation in order to change it without being drastic about it and talked on about what she had done while he had been gone and such things.
"So Danny... what exactly... do two people together do?" she asked.
Danny took a moment to thank Sera for his drink before she asked her question. He didn't really understand what she meant at first either, but finally took a shot at guessing before he answered.
"Well, just about anything," he said with a shrug. "Whatever you want to do or whatever you feel like doin.' Our li'l...shopping trip last night was pretty much like a typical date someone might go on."
"Really? Just shopping?" Sera asked. She thought it strange, for she had seen couples do a lot more than just go shopping...
"Well, I mean.. of course you don't mean just shopping," she corrected herself, starting to become a little nervous.
"Um... t-tomorrow night... wo-would you like to go out to this neat karaoke bar that I found?" she asked him.
"You know," Danny replied casually to her first question. "I said whatever they want." He turned to look at her whenever she asked about the kareoke bar though. "Um, sure," he said. "Sounds good to me." He smiled at her, thinking that he didn't bring his guitar, but he knew music would be provided anyway.
Sera didn't exactly understand Danny's remark of whatever they wanted and so just let it slide.
"Yeah, it looks really nice," she told him. "And they have all kind of people. Some are pretty good and some are pretty good to make fun of," she smiled to him. They still had a good bit of the day left today and Sera didn't know what to do. She actually hadn't watched the screen in a while and was curious about current events, but she wanted to spend time with Danny, so she'd follow him about. Whatever he wanted to do, she'd do it with him.
"So... what do you want to do today?" Sera asked.
"Nothing in particular," Danny admitted as he stretched back in his seat for a moment before turning his attention out at the zooming traffic below. He had most certainly had enough driving and walking around in this crazy place for the day, so he was really just set on relaxing for the moment. "Did you have somethin' in mind?"
"I... was actually interested in watching a little of the screen," Sera pointed out, motioning back inside with her hand. "I never had enough money to purchase one of my own, so I find them an interesting luxury."
She waited for a moment to see if Danny would like to join her. If he wouldn't, then she'd sit out here with him. Either way, she was very much content.
She took a deep breath as she watched the cars, sort of copying him. She brought a hand up to run through her ebony hair, letting it move away from her eyes.
"Sure," said Danny. "I'll go in and watch it with you. That is if we can get it away from Bowen."
He considered that that was practically all Bowen had been doing that day, as far as he had seen at least, was watching the screen. He stood up though and stretched a bit, then taking his drink in one hand he offered his other to Sera to help her out of her chair.
Sera took Danny's hand and stood up.
With her free hand, she took her glass, but hooked her finger around the handle of the pitcher as well in order to take it too. It didn't weigh that much after having some of the drink emptied out of it now.
Sera then went inside with Danny to see if Bowen was glued to the screen or not.
Danny led her inside to find Bowen sitting on the couch with a writing pad and pencil. He seemed madly consumed in his work at the moment, although the screen was on. Danny supposed he wouldn't mind if they changed the channel though, if he wasn't really paying attention to it, and so planted himself on to the couch and took the remote control to begin channel surfing. Once the channel was changed, Bowen looked up briefly, but said nothing afterwards.
Because of the limited amount of room on the couch, Sera ended up sitting on the other side of Bowen while he worked inbetween the two of them. She figured that Ms. Rose wouldn't like for her to sit on the arm of her couch anyway.
She planted herself there and placed her hands in her lap as she looked forward to watch the screen. She did think it a wondrous thing and she had missed it from whenever her father had owned one.
"Anything particular you wanna watch," Danny asked, mainly speaking to Sera of course, but would take anyone who answered. He didn't see anything too much of interest in his opinion so he ended up handing the remote to Sera instead in order to let her deside.
Sera took the remote from Danny and began to look through the channels herself. It wasn't too long until she found an interesting channel that seemed to be focused on education as one of its main forms. The show that was on taught viewers how different things were made and they were showing how hovercrafts were made in the large factories.
Sera deemed this interesting enough to keep her attention and so kept it on the channel. But she told him that she'd be right back and got up to take the pitcher of lemonade back to the kitchen.
Danny nodded, not replying for he was pretty interested in the screen show as well, even though his brother did this sort of thing for a living. Still, the mysteries of mechanics never got old to him. Although he could fix a basic tractor problem, anything more complicated than some farm equipment was well beyond his limitations.
Sera put the pitcher in the cooler which was interesting since the door wasn't really there and it was a type of hologram which stopped the cold from getting out, but one could pass their hand through it without a problem.
Sera walked back over and stopped beside Danny as she placed her hand on the back of the couch by him. She watched the show for a moment, becoming very interested in it as well. She never knew that people also worked on hovercrafts, mainly inspecting the robots' work.
