Sera stopped whenever she saw the two men and thought about trying to move around them, but it seemed they were waiting on her. She became uneasy while she watched them and their dog and just stood still as she stared.
She didn't want to go foward close to them and as of lately had become set off by their dog.
"What're you doing?" she finally called out to them, hoping she could encourage them to just move and let her on by. They were standing in the perfect direction toward home and she wanted to get their quickly, but they were stalling her.

Danny raised a brow, trying to decide if she sounded angry of accusing or anything else.
"We were just waiting to walk you home," he answered. "Wanted to make sure you were alright."
Brigit yawned as she sat down to scratch her ear with her hind leg. Bowen watched her, having never been around animals much himself before returning his attention to Sera.

"I'm fine and I can walk home by myself thank you," Sera called out to them as she stood her ground. She still wouldn't go up by them.
"Besides, I... wasn't going straight home anyway," she half-way lied, for an idea just popped into her head and she knew where she wanted to go instead of her lonely apartment.
But her worst fear might be assumed if they wanted to walk her to the pub instead. She needed a drink... but drinking with them... scared her
.

"Whe-"
"Come now, Danny," Bowen cut his friend off, muttering quietly. "She doesn't want us bothering her. Let's just head back to the apartment."
Danny looked back at Bowen then at Sera who stood a considerable distance away. He supposed his companion was right, although his raising told him he shouldn't leave a young lady alone at night.
"Just be careful," Bowen called, as he tugged on Danny's arm, trying to coax him away, and hoping that his warning might put him at ease. But although Danny wasn't really very big, moving him was like trying to budge a cement building. He didn't move until he decided to and they started for the apartment building.

Sera didn't move until she was certain that the two men and their dog were headed back to the apartment building. She watched Danny for a moment, for she could tell that he had wanted to make sure of her safety. She told herself that it was the same treatment he'd give anybody, but it made her wonder why he'd really bother. He couldn't have actually been nice. Nice wasn't an adjective for any man.

Sera turned and started her way to the right instead of following the straight road back to the apartments. She knew the pub would be empty at the moment, mainly because of the excitement and because it wasn't late enough for the regular crowd to come about.
But she needed something strong, something to help her take her mind off what had been going on lately. She still felt like crap and knew that her unlocked door could wait.

When they arrived back at the apartment, Bowen immediately made his way to the rickety old desk in the corner. He took his travel bag with him and fished around for some paper and a pen and once he had found what he was looking for, set it down and began scribbling. Danny didn't rightly pay attention to what his friend was doing, heading for the kitchen area instead. He fumbled around the cabinets and icebox for something more fulfilling.
"There's no whiskey," he announced, standing up straight.
Bowen didn't seem to hear him. He was muttering to himself and his pen was a swift blur across his thin canvas. Danny considered going out for a drink but it was starting to get late and they both had to report back to the military office early tomorrow. Although he was used to a nighttime drink, he supposed he'd have to skip it once again.

Sera stayed at the bar, knowing that she didn't have to go home to Lizzie or anyone. She felt like getting wasted, but didn't have a real good inititive to do so, plus, she didn't need to blow that much money.
She still wanted to drink though.

Sera ended up staying at the bar until she had gotten herself wasted, which in Sera's case wasn't that bad of a thing. Normally people were truly themselves whenever they were drunk and this was Sera's case.
She giggled as she came back up the staircase to her apartment. She didn't have any worries and she didn't have any fears, for the alcohol had helped her to take them all away. She had brought two bottles with her as well.

Bowen was still at his desk, writing and talking lowly to himself. Danny had gone to his room to contact his family and had finally settled down in bed although he had yet to fall to sleep. Brigit laid on the floor beside his bed, resting peacefully. She stirred though when she seemed to hear something strange in the hallway and she lifted her head, perking her ears. Danny heard it as well, although not as immeidately. He didn't wonder who was making the noise. It was too high-pitched to be Bowen.

Sera giggled once more whenever she missed a step and had to catch herself on the railing. She brought a hand to cover her mouth, knowing that people might be sleeping, but the hand she tried to use clutched the neck of a tall bottle, same with her other.
She laughed at her air-headedness before heading on up the stairs in her drunken, yet extremely happy state. She smiled and giggled herself before she finally got to her floor. She took the bottles back to her room and sat them on the table whenever she first entered. Then she went back out, leaving her door open. She stopped at Bowen and Danny's room and knocked.
She covered a giggle, but stood there with her hands behind her back and waited.

Bowen heard the knocking but he was consumed in his work and didn't want to be interrupted, so he didn't answer. Danny heard it as well, but waited to see if Bowen would get it instead. When the knocking came a second time, Danny got up instead, pulled on a shirt and stepped out of his bedroom. Brigit followed him loyally, stopping whenver her master stopped to observe his mumbling companion before going to the door to see who was knocking. Perhaps it was the landlady this time. She seemed like a happy, giggly person although he was quite sure this laughter wasn't coming from someone who was quite in their right mind.
It was astounding, however, when he opened the door to find Sera outside.
"Hello," he said, peering down at her. "Are you alright?"

"Oh I feel wonderful!" Sera gleamed up at Danny. "I hope you do as well. I'm sorry, were you asleep? I'd hate to wake you," she smiled up at him. She couldn't help but giggle lightly. "I was going to cook some beer bread and make some corned beef, would you two like some if I make it? My recipes are only for large servings and I'm sure I couldn't eat it all by my lonesome. Also, Lady Trena apologizes for not speaking to you today, but she said that time got away from her and she's not here. I saw her earlier. She'll be back tomorrow to talk to you to," the girl beamed.
She kept her hands behind her back as she looked up at Danny with a bright smile.

"Um...nah, I wasn't asleep...yet," Danny replied, rather perplexed by her sudden mood swing. And she was speaking so quickly. But if he leaned a little closer he could smell the alcohol on her breath and then he understood what had happened.
Bowen was busy, and although he wasn't used to staying up so late, he supposed it was best he stayed up to make sure Sera didn't hurt herself.
"Well, that sounds nice...course we haven't eaten all of your stew yet," he told her.

"Oh, so you were planning on sleeping?" Sera giggled at the joke that only she really got. "And you haven't? You should, it's really good. Although... Lizzie didn't like it much." Sera scowled lightly at the thought. "Girl doesn't really know what's good for her to begin with," Sera rolled her eyes, but then quickly returned her attention to Danny.
"What's Bowen up to?" She asked cheerfully and let herself past him a little bit, inside their apartment so that she might spy Bowen. She was curious at what he was doing and in her drunken state, being polite wasn't at the top of her list. She came to stand over Bowen's shoulder, peering down at whatever he was doing.
She blinked a few times, her mind unable to process anything really.
"Wha'cha doin'?" she finally asked with a smile.

Danny could only watch, rather dumbfounded since he had been rather convinced that Sera had a strong distaste for the both of them. She was normally so cautious.
"I'm busy," Bowen replied without looking at her. "Please don't interrupt me I'll lose my train of thought." He doubled over his paper even more and continued to write down a few notes, doodle something here or there and mutter long strands of nonsense to himself.
"Sera, why don't you sit down," Danny suggested following after her and trying to coax her away from Bowen. He didn't know what his comrade was up to anymore than she did, but he didn't want the man to be bothered either. "I'll warm up some of your stew."
Brigit was sitting down by the couch, watching the spectacle, not sure what to make of it herself, not that she really cared. Nothing threatening was happening.

Sera turned about and looked at Danny with a bright smile.
"Okie dokie," she beamed. "Oh, I brought some bottles of alcohol back with me. Would you like one... or two?" she asked Danny, unknowing, or really caring if they drank at all.
"Oh, either I forget or you never tell me... what're you doing here? Like doing in this city? You obviously aren't from here. You don't look like you're from here. And you don't know your way around here."
Sera still hadn't sat, feeling too hyper to sit anywhere.
