Welcome to Gaia! ::

Sera looked up as Danny went by, then she watched him shut the door behind him. She listened for him to make sure he had gotten in the tub before she took her towel off and began looking through some of her things. After a little while she knew Danny would be coming back through, so she climbed into her bed, but brought one of her bags with her to pull out her things and look at them.
She knew just was she was going to wear the next day as well. But upon thinking about th enext day, she knew she'd need to find the bank and afterwards go job hunting in this huge place.
Danny didn't take verly long. One because he was just used to taking quick showers and now even with his short hair, it took even less time. And also he didn't want to keep Sera waiting, knowing she probably wanted to get to sleep. He finished quickly and dressed in a tunic and breeches before coming out of the bathroom. He noted her in bed.
"Oh, sorry," he said.
Sera raised her brow at Danny.
"It's okay," She smiled. "I was just looking over what you bought for me and trying to figure out what I was going to wear tomorrow," she told him. "Thank you again."
She paused for a moment.
"Are you fixing to go to bed?" she asked.
"I-uh...see that," Danny replied, blushing rather deeply as he watched her a moment. "You're welcome." He chuckled a little nervously, trying to drive a few images from his head.
"Oh yeah, I'm about to...I guess."
Sera smiled at him.
"Alright then, I just wanted to tell you goodnight."
She moved to put her things in one of her bags and then moved it off the bed, but as she did so, the cover slipped away from her shoulder and fell down to her lap. Sera, who didn't think much of it easily slipped it back up and finished arranging the bag down beside the bed.
"I'll see you in the morning?" she asked.
"You bet," Danny muttered, then he cleared his throat, his eyes still wide. "Ye-yeah...see you in the mornin'..." He stepped towards the door, but before he opened it he turned to look at her again. "You know...You're a mighty fine young woman."
Then he opened the door and disappeared out of it.
Sera thought Danny's words were rather odd and she actually sat there a little while longer and just thought about them. Then again, Danny was a very nice person and was full of compliments to begin with.
Sera didn't think too much more, finally coming to the conclusion that Danny was just being nice and that he needed sleep. Sera tucked herself under the covers and turned out her light.
Before long, she had started to doze.
Danny wasn't able to get to sleep very easily that night and neither did he rest very soundly either. In fact he was probably quite noisy, but no one could hear him unless they listened very closely. Needless to say, Sera was fresh on his mind (and on his breeches that morning, unfortunately.) He didn't think he'd be able to look at her the same way that day.
Sera slept very well that night, for the bed was extra comfortable.
She went ahead and dressed herself in the short shorts and tank top that she had picked out the previous day. Sera had always had nice legs with hard muscles from working so much and constantly being on her feet. Her tank top just barely allowed a little of her tattoo to be seen on her back.
After walking around and seeing so many people the previous day, what Sera was wearing would be considered pretty modest.
After brushing her hair and fixing herself up a little, she made her way out and into the kitchen were she found the coffee and a little breakfast.
Danny had probably been the first one up, so accustomed to getting up early anyway. Aunt Rose's flat had a small balcony overlooking the city with an invisible barrier that blocked out all the obnoxious sounds and smells. He had a small cup of coffee with him as he sat watching everything, trying to calm his mind. But the business of the city before him wasn't helping much.
Sera fixed herself a cup of coffee and found a bagel that she would eat plain. She noticed Danny out on the balcony through the peak in the curtains that concealed it.
Quietly, she went on out to him and then closed the door back behind her.
"Good morning," she smiled at Danny while she sat down and crossed her legs. She took a sip of her coffee and then peered out to the city.
"Wow, we are high up aren't we?" she asked with a smile. She turned to look at Danny, taking her eyes away from the great sight, then began to nibble at her bagel.
"Did you sleep well?" she asked. "I know I did."
Danny peered up at Sera as she walked in and smiled, but afterwards tried very hard to concentrate only on his coffee.
"Oh...I-I slept alright," he replied in a little unsure of a fashion. "New place...you know." He chuckled lightly before looking back out at all the hovercraft that were zooming by at such incredible speeds.
"I understand," Sera said softly. She continued to eat and drink, peering out to look at what Danny was so interested in. He didn't seem incredibly sociable this morning and so maybe that was a sign that he'd rather have breakfast in peace.
Even though she didn't like the silence, she stayed quiet, believing that Danny didn't want to talk to her. She wanted to tell him that she had a dream with him in it, although she couldn't really remember the dream, but she was afraid that she wouldn't get much of a response from him.
Sera finished up her bagel and soon had half her coffee gone before she got up to go and get seconds.
Danny wasn't completely quiet, for he did make a few comments about the constant busy state of the city and the he didn't see how anyone could find it relaxing. He looked up at her as she stood to leave, which was a little disappointing, but at the same time he wondered if maybe it might make it safer for the both of them.
Sera couldn't pin point it, but she did notice something a little off that morning with Danny and it sort of disappointed her. Danny was her friend and he was acting a little strange...
Maybe he just needed time to adjust to the new surroundings...
After her second cup of coffee, she went to find Danny once more.
"I'm going to head out," she told him as she turned to peer around the sliding door that led onto the balcony. "I want to find a bank around here and also I'm going to start job hunting," she told him.
