Welcome to Gaia! ::

Danny raised a brow, not quite sure how to take that, but he smiled and laughed lightly.
He pecked her cheek before his hand slipped into hers and he steppd off of the tree. He began leading her down the small road of the orchard, growing ever nearer to the center where the large oak tree with the swing was located.
Sera enjoyed just walking with Danny. It was so strange to finally be back with him, but at the same time it was almost refreshing. All her worries melted away and while she wanted to talk about their upcoming future together, she held her tongue, not knowing how that would go over.
"So how did your birthday go? What'd you do?" she asked.
Danny looked down at her before returning his attention to where they were walking. Then he shrugged lightly.
"Eh...it was...alright, I guess," he replied. "It was the day of the Festival, which went as usual. They surprised me that night with a cake...It was alright." He said again.
He didn't want to say he hadn't enjoyed it much because she hadn't been there. Bu he had tried his hardest to have fun.
Sera hugged him a little tighter and then moved to kiss his cheek. She then bit his ear gently, tugging at it before letting it go. She pressed her nose against his neck as she walked along with him.
"I'm sorry I wasn't here," she whispered. "And don't tell me that it's alright. Just say okay."
"Okay..." Danny said, unsure why she would want him to say that. He had been rather disappointed, but he wouldn't point it out. That would be rude. He smiled and shook his head though and gave her hand a squeeze.
"I want to celebrate your birthday with you," she told him. "Whatever you want to do... sometime this week. We'll do it!" she remarked to him happily, suddenly hopping in front of him and taking both his hands as she seemed to dance momentarily. "I don't care what it is, we'll have a great time and I'll make up for missing your birthday."
She smiled up at him.
"Let me do this for you please," she asked of him, not wanting him to tell her that she didn't have to.
"Oh, nah, you don't have to," Danny told her shaking his head. "I mean...I don't really like makin' a big deal outta my birthday. I don't consider it nothin' special." He shrugged lightly. "Don't worry 'bout it."
He looked down at her and smiled, although he was serious. He really didn't feel that there was anything special about his birthday.
"I mean...if I havfta have somethin'...then I'd rather it be a surprise."
Sera frowned toward Danny. She wanted to do something special for him, but supposed that it would have to be a surprise, yet she didn't really know a good surprise for him either.
She sighed and nodded her head in understanding before taking his hand once again and continuing on at his side.
Danny saw that she seemed a little disappointed and he squeezed her hand lightly.
"Look, if you really have to do something for me, then just surprise me," he told her. "Did you say you got me something? Well, I think that's enough anyway...you didn't even have to do that. And you coming back, well that's the best gift I could ever get from you."
He leaned over and pecked her cheek.
Sera couldn't help but blush.
"You're just sayin' that silly..." she giggled to him. "And I hope you'll like it..." Sera said softly. She truly did hope that Danny would like her gift. She didn't think it was that great, but she had put a lot of time and effort into it while she had been gone. The two stayed out for a long time until Sera started to get tired and was also a little hungry.
"I can't wait to give you your gift. Do you want to come upstairs with me so I can give it to you?" she asked Danny, not really wanting to make it that big of a deal as they came back to the porch.
"Sure," Danny replied with a smile. "We'll go see what it is before we start dinner and everyone figures out you're here." He chuckled softly.
He squeezed her hand and led her inside. No one was in the immediate area so they started up the stairs to the room where all of Sera's things had been set.
Sera hurried up the stairs with Danny, happy that he wanted to open it before dinner. Once they made it back to the room, Sera pulled out a brand new, leather satchel. The satchel was sort of the wrapping for Danny's other two gifts. Inside, was a scrapbook made with pictures of the two of them and a few little things that she kept. But mostly, it was all sort of like journal pages where she kept up with her feelings for Danny and how much she thought about and missed him. The other was a CD that she had recorded of all the songs she had written just for Danny and also composed. In the scrapbook/journal were her original ideas for them as well.
"Happy... late birthday," she giggled as she handed him the satchel.
"Oh wow," Danny exclaimed as he took the satchel from her in order to examine it, feeling his hands along the leather covering. "This is really nice! I love it! Thank you!" He looked it over a little more before opening it and discovering his other two presents inside. "There's more," he laughed as he studied the scrap journal and the CD. "You made all this? You're too good to me." He chuckled.
Sera shook her head.
"No... I'm not.. .after everything I've put you through? You deserve more... um... all of my original ideas for the songs on that CD are written down in the journal thing...." she pointed out to him. "If... you're interested..."
Danny looked at the CD again and realized that the title revealed that all the songs had been composed specifically for him, or so he assumed.
"Course I'm interested," Danny assured her as he looked at the journal again, then began flipping through it to see what he could find. "I didn't know you had this kind of artistic talent. It's really nice." He looked up at her and smiled before setting them all aside and moving to hug Sera thankfully. "Thank you so much."
