No Man's Land (Private)

Danny smiled as she spoke about the future. He was also looking forward to that day in coming. But he knew she enjoyed what she was doing right now too much for him to just take her away from it. Plus she had only been a part of it for a couple of months and he would have only considered that time wasted.
"I'm not sure yet," he replied. "Sometimes this mornin'. When you gotta go in for rehearsal?"

"Whenever you leave... or at least that's what Kyle said," Sera answered Danny. It didn't take her long to finish her plate. It was very good and she easily scarfed it down.
She moved to embrace Danny once more.

"Really," Danny inquired, a little confused as he embraced her in return. "Why does he care about whenever I leave or not?"
He found it rather strange that Kyle would be that considerate, or so it seemed. Or perhaps he just didn't want Danny hanging around at the concert hall.

"He saw how bummed I was that we didn't get to hang out too much yesterday," Sera answered to Danny. "I thought it was great of him to do so. He also says that since I'm coming along so well on the new song that it would be okay to take a little more time off."

"Ah, that is rather nice of him," Danny agreed with a nod. "Well...I don't have to leave immediately, maybe not for a couple of hours. Is there something you'd like to do?" He brushed his fingers through her hair as he leaned back against the headboard and cradled her against his chest.

Sera smiled and hugged herself closely on Danny.
"Just stay here with you," she answered to him. "That way I'll feel better whenever you leave," Sera smiled. "What do you want to do?" she giggled.

"That sounds good to me," Danny replied with a smile. He gave her an affectionate squeeze before relaxing against, leaning his head against hers. "I don't mind just hangin' around for a while. But just outta curiosity, how would it make you feel any diff'rent than us goin' out and doin' anything?"
He raised a brow as he gazed down at her, awaiting her answer.

"Because this feels intimate... even though it's not," Sera whispered. "And I want to be as close to you as I possibly can... so if we went out... I wouldn't feel that way... and I wouldn't be as happy as if I were just laying here with you."
Sera hoped that Danny understood that whatever level of their relationship they were on, that's where Sera wanted to push the boundaries, so this was what she wanted.

Danny didn't see how they couldn't be intimate just going out and being together, but either way, he didn't really care. He enjoyed just spending some time with her there, and resting up a little more before he had to leave. Easily he leaned over and kissed her forehead before brushing a little of the hair out of her face.

Sera listened to Danny's silence, but she could also hear his steady heart-beat. It was a relaxing pulse and it almost lulled her back to sleep. Of course Sera knew better than to allow herself to sleep once more because she wanted to spend time with Danny.
"I love you so much," she whispered.

"I love you too," Danny replied with a smile, continuing to massage his fingers over her scalp. "Where are y'all headed after South Point," he asked curiously. He knew he had a list somewhere, but he couldn't remember off the top of his head.

Sera shrugged her shoulders.
"I'm not sure," she whispered. "I honestly can't remember where all we go," she softly giggled. Sera moved to a more comfortable position so that she was lying on Danny's chest, but was also laying on her stomach. She curled her head close to his chest, enjoying this new position.

"You sound like me," Danny laughed. "Can hardly remember what I'm s'posed to be doing each day, much less what's happenin' later in the week or month."
He hugged his arms around her shoulders, cuddling her close as they rested together.

Sera couldn't help but laugh at Danny's words.
It actually didn't take her long before she fell asleep there with Danny. She hadn't meant to, but she had been up so late the previous night that she just couldn't help it. Thankfully, she didn't sleep too heavily so that she could know whenever Danny moved.

Danny noticed that Sera had fallen to sleep, but he tried not to disturb her. He wanted to talk with her a bit, just to talk, but he knew that she was very tired. So he rested with her for a little while, just caressing her and cuddling her.
But it seemed that all too soon, a couple of hours had passed and it was time for him to leave. Easily he leaned over and kissed her forehead.
"I've got to go, sweetheart," he whispered softly.
