Danny picked up their tab and took her hand as they left the restaraunt.
"Well...I hate to abandon you," he said with a soft sigh. "But it is gettin' kinda late...and I need to head out tomorrow. I guess I'll head back to the hotel and get ready for bed. Y'll will still be out for a while, won't you?"
He peered down at her as they caught a cab and he awaited her answer.

Sera looked at Danny a moment.
"So you are going back tomorrow?" She asked sadly. "I thought you were staying for the concert..." She was a little disappointed, but understood that Danny needed to get back. "And yeah... I'll be out for a good while tonight," she sighed.

"When is the concert," he asked, for he had honestly forgotten this, although an inkling of the conversation still remained. Danny just couldn't remember the specifics. Also, he felt he has basically already seen the concert that day during rehearsal.
This was a rather stressful decision really, for although he really wanted to stay and support Sera, he also really needed to get back and supervise what was going on at home. Donovan was a hard worker, but often times became too distracted in his own business to really pay attention to the rest of the labor. And Derek was just lazy. His mother was often too busy taking care of the house and the younger children.
"I suppose I could stay for the concert," he said.

Sera shook her head.
"No, you need to get home," she said softly to him, for she understood. "The concert is the day after tomorrow... besides, you'd just get bored around here. But you have to promise me that you'll watch the concert on the screen... alright?" she asked of him. She knew that Danny was supportive of her, but she honestly felt a little hurt.

"The day after...I thought it was tomorrow," he said a little confused. The inkling of this conversation they had had earlier still remained and he thought she had said it would be the next day, but he had probably heard wrong. In that case...he really did need to get back. If it was tomorrow, then he was sure he could stay, but if it was the next day...
He sighed heavily...brooding for a moment. His decisions could often be easily swayed, especially if someone like Sera was making him feel guilty.
"I don't suppose it would hurt for me to stay...a couple more days..." he mused with uncertainty.

Sera shook her head as they got into the taxi.
"No... you need to get back," she said softly. "Besides, you'd be utterly bored just sitting around for another day," she sighed. "You'd be happier back at your home... and I don't want you unhappy here."
She leaned her head against his shoulder as they rode back toward the hotel.

Sera was right, Danny probably would be terribly bored and just worrying about the work he needed to be doing back home.
"But I want to be here to support you," he said. He moved and the arm she was leaning against so he could wrap it around her shoulders. "Although I did have plans to come to one of your concerts," he told her. "I just hadn't planned on it bein' this'un."

Sera held onto Danny's hand as she leaned more into him.
"But you are supporting me," she told him. "I always know that you are. "And there will be plenty of concerts," she assured him.

"I know...and I'm planning something special," he told her. Then he supposed he had said too much, but he smiled and chuckled anyway, as if to tease her with his secret. Then he leaned over and kissed her forehead. "I love you," he told her and gave her shoulder and affectionate patting.

Sera stared up at Danny, as if trying to read the secret off his face, but she finally gave up and kissed his lips momentarily. She paid the driver whenever they got to the hotel and then started up.
"So you're going to bed early?" she asked Danny. "I'll come curl up beside you whenever I get in," she told him.

"Alright," Danny replied as he slipped out. "Don't work yourself too hard." He kissed her once more before their parting.
He headed up to her room and stopped at the door before realizing...that he had no key.
"Uh oh," he muttered.

Sera had already thought ahead about how Danny would get into the room and she had a front doorman head up in order to let him in. She on the other hand went on up to meet Kyle and see that Hawk was not back yet.
So it seemed they all had to wait a little more.

Danny was relieved whenever the doorman arrived to let him in, and he thanked him graciously. Once inside he realized he still wasn't incredibly tired at the moment. So he cleaned up Sera's suite a bit before getting a shower and heading to bed. He curled up on her bed and it wasn't long before he drifted off to sleep.

Sera ended up staying out until about two in the morning. Although she hated this, she couldn't help that it was her job. As she came into the suite, she knew that Danny was asleep.
She changed into her night gown and then made her way back to the bedroom after grabbing a small bite to eat.
She found Danny and smiled, seeing that he was asleep in her bed. Quietly and gently, she crept in beside him and curled up, molding her body to his.

Being a heavy sleeper, Danny didn't wake, but he did stir a bit. Feeling her warmth in his sleep, he was still for a while, then he moved and arm loosely around her and curled up against her. He had set and alarm to wake him somewhat early, so he would have plenty of time to get back home.
