Welcome to Gaia! ::

Danny glanced back at her, raising a brow as if challenging her to come closer and say that again. But he just laughed and shook his head before going back to what he had been doing before. He had taken out eggs, butter, sugar, flour and other ingredients and soon was mixing up a cake batter. He was actually quite surprised that the room already had everything he needed, but perhaps it had come prepared with everything the client could have possibly needed. Once he was done with that he poured it into a cake pan and set it into the oven. Then he began making an icing from scratch.
It may have seemed strange to most people that Danny knew how to bake, but it was really a requirement of his mother that all of her children generally knew how to cook: bake cakes, marinate meat, stew or saute vegetables, make bread and other simply things.
Sera continued to wait and then whenever he started on the icing, she made her way over toward him. Easily, she wrapped her arms around him, pressing her hands along his stomach and letting her fingers slip just under the brim of his pants.
She peered around the side of him to eye what he was doing.
"Looks... good," she whispered.
"Mmm..." Danny moaned. This was something else that tended to set him off, although not as badly a nibbling his ear. He wanted to tell her to stop, but it felt so nice. "I'm glad you think so," he said.
He smirked as he peered over his shoulder at her. "It'll be ready in about half and hour...Got any...ideas to pass the time?"
"Plenty," Sera whispered as she began to massage along his lower muscles. She pressed her face against his back, just taking in his scent as she stood there with him.
He was so strong and firm against her. Sera couldn't believe that she had gone so long without seeing him. She at one point had actually considered just breaking it off between them because she didn't want to hurt him anymore.
Danny moved his head back a bit as he stretched his neck, a soft groan uttered from his lips. Then he realized how far his reaction was going and he tried to lean against the counter in order to subdue it.
"That feels...a little too nice," he tried to tell her.
He wanted her so badly, but he felt it very important that he try and resist. He had made a promise to himself and to his future wife, which could very well be her for all he knew. So far, she had been the most successful and comfortable of all his relationships even though she was the most different.
Sera sighed lightly and moved so that she could pull her hands from their position and more so onto his back as she just leaned against him.
"Forgive me," she whispered. She knew of Danny's wants and she felt like she was constantly disrespecting him. But the worst part was, that Sera wanted Danny... she wanted to fully be with him and to know him in every aspect. Because of this, she felt like she couldn't tell Danny. She knew that if she did, she'd somehow end up hurting his feelings. He'd feel disrespected by her. She knew this... so she had to stop.
"You're not done cooking yet anyway," she said softly and then finally pulled away from him entirely.
"No, don't leave," he said as he turned towards her and took her into his arms. He embraced her tightly, resting his head against hers. "Just let me hold you and it'll make it better."
Nothing else needed his immediate attention at the moment. He could spare all the attention he wanted for her.
Sera turned back toward Danny and tightly held herself to him. In a sense, she felt like crying as she stood there in her shame. She held it in, knowing that she just wanted to keep this as nice a moment as possible between herself and Danny. She wanted to say that she loved him... that she wanted him... but she held her tongue.
Her hands tightened around the material of the back of his shirt as she just held onto him.
Danny kissed the top of her hair, then her forehead before moving down to her cheek.
"I love you," he whispered. "You don't nag or try to push me into anything. And I try to keep my head clear for both our sakes...but sometimes it's hard." He chuckled softly. "You're always on my mind. Perhaps in many more ways than you should be."
And there was that horribly guilty feeling. Sera felt like such a horrible person after Danny's words. She wanted to push him and nag at him... she wanted him to think of her in those ways for she thought of him in the very same light.
She moved to bury her face against his shoulder a little more.
"That makes me... feel bad," Sera whispered. "I want... to push you... and I like... that you think about me like that... I think about you like that too.. and I want you... so badly... Hearing you say that, makes me feel like such... a horrible person..." she admitted.
Perhaps it was better to just tell him rather than keeping it to herself, although she knew that it couldn't lead to anything good.
"You shouldn't feel bad," Danny told her, combing his fingers through her hair. "They're natural feelings. I want you too, Sera. I want you very badly and I'm very easily persuaded. And I would give myself over to you if I just wasn't afraid of one thing...What if it doesn't work out in the end? I wish with all my might that it will, but what if it don't?" He fell silent for a few moments, all of this having turned very serious without his meaning for it too. "What do you think? I want to know how you feel about it. I can't rule every part of the relationship."
"But you know more about relationships than I do... so it's only right that you dictate it," Sera told him, still holding close to him. She felt like she didn't have a voice whenever it came to her and Danny. Every day, she just waited to do something stupid and make him leave her. In some aspects, she knew that if she did mess up pretty horribly that he'd leave her in a heart beat. Sera was scared of being open with Danny.
"And I like to think of you as... my only one.. as the right one," she told him. Everytime he openly doubted the two of them staying together, it hurt her.
Danny smield and kissed her forehead once more. He liked to think of her that way as well. And he wasn't trying to put her down about their possibilities, he was just trying to be realistic. And although his past serious relationships had been rather bad, this one seemed almost perfect.
"I'm not tryin' to be negative about it all," he said. "I guess this relationship, compared to all my others, just seems too good to be true. But I want you to have a say in everything too. It takes more than one person to make a couple."
Did Danny honestly believe that? Sera wasn't sure if she believed it. For their relationship to be so perfect... then why were they so torn whenever they were apart from one another.
Sera ended up staying silent for the most part. She didn't have anything to say other than what she had already said. She truly wanted to be with Danny, but knew of his reasons against that, so she had to respect him. She also knew that in a way, he was respecting her and she liked that. But Sera didn't exactly want to be babied either. She was finally ready to move on and begin to walk instead of moving along at a crawl. Danny though, was happy just leaving her on the floor where she would be safe.
Danny could see that despite his affections, he still seemed to be losing Sera.
"I'm sorry," he said as he leaned his head against hers. "I didn't mean nothin' by all that. Please forgive me..." He squeezed her lightly. "We could go make out on the couch while the cake bakes if that'll make you feel better." He chuckled lightly. He was trying to lighten the mood, and he was being serious as well.
