Welcome to Gaia! ::

"Yes," Dr. Cunningham replied. "He's wolfed down every serving we've given him, and we feed our dogs three times a day, although not much. We don't want to over feed them, just make sure they're constantly getting a good supply of energy for healing."
Danny smiled as he watched the two of them, standing back so he wouldn't get in the way of Sera's affection to her pet.
"How're his wounds," he asked the doctor.
"I think they'll heal pretty well. Like I said before, they weren't very deep."
Sera kept a hold of the dog, still showering him with affection and love. He gave his soft whimper that Sera loved to hear, for it showed he was happy to see her. It always sounded like a 'woo woo' sound since Fidel had never barked, it seemed he could only whine.
She bent down and kissed his silky head, then petted him a little more before letting him place his head back down on his pillow.
"You get well, alright?" she asked of Fidel and the dog beat his tail on the floor.
"He's doing well on his first day already," Dr. Cunningham assured her. "It was good you brought him when he did. He had lost a lot of blood. I think he just needs a little more rest and he'll be good to go. When you take him, I'll give a salve and some bandages that you can put on his wounds. He'll be a little sore for a little while, but that's just part of the healing process."
Danny nodded.
"I'm sure he'll be fine," he said.
"Me too," Sera smiled and then backed out so that Fidel could have some time to rest. She was glad he was in such good care and was looking forward to whenever he'd be able to leave and she could baby him a little more. She really did care for her dog.
She thanked the man greatly for taking care of her dog.
"I know he probably appreciates it as much as I do," she smiled.
Dr. Cunningham smiled and chuckled before seeing them to the door.
"Yes, he's being taken care of very well, I promise you," he told her. "He may be ready to leave by tomorrow, but it all just depends. Thank you for stopping by. I hope you both have a nice day."
"Thank you," Danny replied as he took Sera's hand. They bid the doctor goodbye and headed out.
Sera went along with Danny after telling the doctor goodbye as well. She was very happy that Fidel was improving so much and it looked like just a few whole meals was doing him good.
Sera stretched once they were back in his old truck. She wasn't sure what she was up for doing, but was thinking about just heading back and relaxing in her room for a little while.
Danny was still up for horseback riding if she was willing to try, but he hadn't seemed to keen on it. He was still trying to think of other activities they could do, but there really weren't any events going on right now since the Firefly Festival was over. Everyone was taking it easy at the moment.
"So what d'you wanna do now," he asked as he started up the truck and pulled up to the road.
Sera shrugged her shoulders lightly before looking up at Danny.
"I'm not sure," she told him. "I was thinking about just going and stretching back out on my bed and relaxing," Sera said. "But... I guess we could try horse riding," she tried. "But if I freak out, you better get me off," she warned him.
"We can do whatever you want," Danny assured her, although he had no idea why she would want to go back to her room and 'relax.' In his opinion she had slept long enough already and didn't think she needed to over rest.
He pulled back onto the road as they started out towards his house once more.
Sera shrugged.
"I'd kind of just like to go somewhere relaxing and just talk... we haven't really just talked in a little while," she told him. She missed having deep conversations with Danny and sometimes felt like the things they did together was because Danny didn't really have anything to say to her.
"Well, we can do that," Danny replied with a shrug. He wasn't really trying to avoid talking to her, he was just a really active person and always liked to be doing something besides just sitting around.
"How about the orchard," he asked. "You really liked that place."
Instead of going all the way down to the house he turned as soon as they reached the small dirt road down the center of the orchard. He went on for a minute or two before they reached a large sady oak that kind of stood in the very heard of the orchard. It ended the rows of one kind of tree and started another. There was a large tire swing hung from its sturdy branches.
Sera looked out at where they pulled up to and smiled.
"Would you push me on the swing?" she asked him, not know if he would rather swing before her. She could just sit by the tree and have just as good of a time. "And what do you want to talk about?" she asked, figuring they could work their way into a good conversation.
"Sure," Danny replied, having thought she might like swinging anyway, which was why he had brought her out here. It was shady, it was peaceful and it was just the two of them. As for what he wanted to talk about...he wasn't really sure. He doubted whatever he would come up with would be to her liking of deep conversation. "We can discuss whatever you like. He was a feeling a little more comfortable about telling her a few specific things now, but wouldn't bring it up if she didn't.
Sera moved to get on the swing, a little giddy about swinging since she had never done so before.
"Hmm... I want to talk about us... if that's okay with you..." Sera told Danny softly. "What're we going to do after I leave? We've both been avoiding the subject, but do you want to try for a long distance relationship?" she asked him.
"Well, yeah," Danny replied. "I don't guess I was really tryin' to avoid it. I just thought we had just...kind of decided that we would. It seems kind of a waste to have only been together for one week...and I really like you...of course" he chuckled a little bashfully. "And I don't want us to call it quits. I never tried a long distance relationship afore...but I'm willin' to try anything new."
