Welcome to Gaia! ::

Rilind shook her head.
"It's not as bad as you think it is. Maybe for you though," she giggled. After she ate a little more, she moved to roll upon her back, placing her hands over her stomach as she peered up toward the darkening sky. She hadn't realized how late it really had been, but she had enjoyed her time out there with Danny as well.
Danny ate until it really started getting chilly and he decided that maybe it was time to pack up. It had been a nice time though, and he was also very glad that she would be able to stay another day with them. He just hopped that she wouldn't get into too much trouble with her band mates whenever she returned to the city.
Sera helped Danny pack up once they were ready. She had a nice time with him and hoped they could do it again tomorrow since she would still be here.
She hugged his arm as they walked back toward the house and he carried the basket, which she knew had to have been lighter with as much as they had eaten out of it.
Danny hooked her close as they started up the stairs together, then once they were back inside they began unpacking the basket once again and putting things away.
"Well, I think it's been a pretty good afternoon," he said as he stood back from the counter and stretched his arms upwards. "What do you think?"
Sera nodded her head.
"I think so," she agreed. Somehow, she still felt as if she had angered Danny somehow. Even now, she felt this unknown tenseness between them that she didn't care for.
"I really enjoyed spending time with you," she told him. It was strange that she and Danny hadn't really been close since that one time, and after that whenever they stopped talking for a little while, they hadn't had a real close conversation. Sera enjoyed feeling intimate with Danny whenever they were just talking and sitting in each other's presence, but she hadn't felt that way lately.
"I enjoyed it too," Danny replied before leaning over and kissing her cheek. He hadn't been too close or pushy that day because he was afraid of over-doing it, not wanting to be too clingy or pushy. "Are you feelin' cold or chilly? We could make us a warm cup of coffee or somethin' and sit out on the porch." He was thinking they might grab a blanket or something and just sit.
The combination of Danny being slightly clingy and pushy with Sera, then suddenly slacking off had led Sera to believe that Danny wasn't happy with her for some reason. But she perked up at his suggestion.
"I'd like that," she told him. "But I'd rather not have a hot drink please... hot drinks hurt my throat," she said softly, hoping it wasn't that big of a deal. "I'll just take another glass of lemonade..."
"Alright," Danny shrugged. "We'll just take a blanket then."
He fixed them both a glass of lemonade, preferring not to sit and wait on any coffee to be made for himself if Sera didn't want any. Then before they headed outside on the porch, he grabbed a blanket off the back of the sofa in the sitting room. He didn't really suspect it would be that cold outside, but since they had just went swimming and they were drinking something cold, he figured it might be good to have at least.
Sera smiled as she took her drink, feeling a little bad that she had kept Danny from getting his coffee or whatever he was planning on having. But she went on out on the porch with him and sat down on the swing. She sipped at her drink a little, then sat it over on the railing by the swing so that it wouldn't get knocked off.
"It is a little chilly," she whispered softly.
Danny didn't really need coffee this late in the day and it had only been a suggestion anyway.
"That's what I brought this for," he announced as he unfolded the blanket and spread it across the both of them. Then he placed an arm around her shoulders and hugged her close to his side. "Is that better now," he asked and smiled.
Sera snuggled under Danny's arm while she pulled her legs up under her a little more. She closed her eyes as she leaned her head against his muscle. She was very, very comfortable right here.
"This is nice," she remarked.
"Well, I'm glad you're comfortable," Danny replied with a light chuckle.
After she had situated herself, he leaned his head against hers and used his foot to gently swing them back and forth. It didn't feel too bad outside, though, at least not with the blanket over them.
Sera nodded her head with a soft 'uh huh' in an answer to him. She kept her eyes closed as they sat there and she was almost feeling a little drowsy. This was so comfortable that she felt very relaxed there with Danny.
Perhaps he wasn't mad at her, Sera couldn't really tell. But right now, she wouldn't question him.
Since Sera hadn't said much, Danny sort of fell silent as well while they swung to and fro, bundled in their blanket and very close to one another. Danny was resisting becoming a little explorative and to keep from doing so, just wrapped his arms around her so that his hand held themselves together.
Sera stayed feeling a little drowsy and noticed that Danny didn't say anything to her to keep a conversation up. She also noticed that Danny didn't really try to be affectionate to her either and she fell back into her original assumption that he was mad at her for some strange reason. Upon thinking about it, Danny hadn't been affectionate to her the whole day. Perhaps it was over the whole Fidel situation that he was mad at her... or maybe he didn't like it whenever they had become affectionate that time in the field.
She slunk a little lower in her seat as she stayed seated and silent.
