Ganto watched as Yusuke's finger began to glow, heating the blood to the point where it clotted. His hand began to glow orange and he moved it towards Aiko, whose fist instinctively rose. Ganto caught her wrist and held it tight to stop her from doing anything stupid. She went to raise her other fist, only to find Ganto was also holding that one. She shot him a dangerous look, but his expression remained firm as he shook his head. He waited until Yusuke was finished before loosening his grip on her wrists, but didn't let go in case she still wanted to try anything funny.
He leant in close to her, and stared her in the eyes. She just looked away. “You can't keep doing this to yourself. I was fine turning a blind eye when it was just between us two, but you're dragging other people into your mess and you need to stop,” he hissed.
“Ganto... Let go.” She looked back at him with anger and conviction in her eyes. His grip tightened. “Ganto. Let. Go. Now.”
Ganto could see the anger rising up inside her as her nostrils began to flare. Her lower lids tensed and he could hear her teeth clamp together. “Let. Go. NOW!”
On the last word, she brought her knee up and kicked him in the chin, knocking him back and stunning him. He let go of her wrists in the scuffle and she kicked him into the wall before he could come to his senses. She landed on the table and took a stance, with a laugh.
Ganto stumbled to his feet and took a run before leaping into the air, landing on the table, too. Aiko moved back to make room for him, gesturing for him to attack.
“Fine! If only to teach you a lesson...” he sighed. “But if I win, you've gotta tell someone.”
“No promises,” she grinned as she ducked an oncoming punch before jumping over a low swing of Ganto's leg. She tore the needles from her arm, causing slashes in her skin, and threw her fist at him, but he just grabbed her wrist and swung her around before letting go. He cringed as she went straight through the window.
“U-Um... Sorry, Yusuke-sensei...” he quickly apologised before hopping to the kitchen sink and glancing at the window. Aiko was slowly pulling herself up.
“You win, but I'm not telling anyone anything.”
