Francis somehow manages to pale further at the comment. He grabs Arthur's wrist before he can grab the dagger, staring down at him. "Ma cher..." he murmurs, eyes nearly glistening with tears. "If you kill me, I die. Do you really want that to happen to me, Artie?" He doesn't seem to notice the unusual nickname he just gave Athur, merely gazing with a certain sense of hopelessness down at the Brit.

Arthur hesitated.
Would he really be killed?
"B-but... Germania said that you wouldn't be killed! Th-that'd bit'd be the only way to save you!" he retorted.
Though he froze when Francis called him 'Artie'... Francis never called him that, and he suddenly missed Alfred.
Arthur looked up at him.
"D-do you not want to go back?"

Francis's eyes grew cold at the mention of Germania. "That man is a liar!" he spat, glaring down at Arthur. "He's wanted nothing but the sight of me dead since the first century!" The Frenchman didn't seem to notice the obvious disparity in time. He calmed slightly at Arthur's next comment, anger fading as quickly as it had appeared. "Of course I do, Arthur." he soothed. "It's just that there is no way for metro leave this place... I'm sorry you had to come all this way to hear it." He wrapped his arms around Arthur in what was supposed to be a comforting gesture, but his touch was too cold.

Arthur shivered under his lover's embrace, frowning.
He felt so useless...
"Then... what do I do?" he asked looking at him with hopeless desperation.
Perhaps he should just stay here, and then...
What would he do?
Remain a pet of the Lord of the Dead?
He didn't know... but he didn't want to leave Francis here... it just seemed so wrong.
