"xxI feel alive, when your beside me, I will not die..I'll wait here for you...xx"
▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ♔ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬
► Destiny was an eighteen year old female, who had run away from her home in the city, she didn't know where she was going, or what she would do, she was hoping her mother could figure something out while she hid from her father, though hiding from someone who could drive was not easy, she was also hiding from her ex boyfriend, who she had dumped two months prior. Why? Well, he basically said 'sleep with me, or I rape you', so, yeah, raped by him, and he wants her to abort the child, and her father also wants her to abort due to it 'ruining her future', never-mind he raped your daughter, oh wait, her father doesn't believe her, thankfully her mother does, and simple to say, her mother is filing a divorce due to being disgusted at her husbands wrong intentions. So for the past week, she has been traveling the streets, she was only a month pregnant, it didn't show, but her father and ex found out someway, probably forced it out of her mother. It was lunch time, and she was hoping to find somewhere to eat. On the outskirts of Greentree currently, all she had was the clothes on her back and a backpack, good thing she use to do a lot of walking as a child, she had most of her 'nicest' clothes, and the rest was things like food, water, her mobile, torch, the mobile to contact her mother of course.
► The rest of the stuff in her backpack were pretty unimportant, just things she wanted to keep, and of course she had her money on her, not a lot, but enough to buy food for a while. Currently she was two cities away from where she had lived with her parents, lots of taxi's taken, and camping in forests, hiding from her father and ex, nowhere seemed safe, though it seemed today she'd finally lost them, they had probably tried to call the police...one small matter, she was eighteen, the police probably didn't care too much, she was considered an adult. Although, to most she seemed like a normal teenager girl, with no issues in life, she had long curly brown hair down to her breasts, and yellow-brown eyes, she stood at 5'4 and was relatively slender, although she was teased for having a 'doll face' and for having a biggish a**, why was that bad? Stupid society. Sighing to herself, she rubbed her stomach gently. Hearing her mobile, before answering she checked who it was...her father, okay, she hung up, another call...her ex, hang up, and would prefer his a** in jail...five minutes later, another call, for ********, it was her mother, she smiled and picked up, making sure it was her mother, she heard her mothers voice and smiled. "Hey mom! Yeah I'm fine. Yes I'm eating and sleeping fine, no worries! Ugh...just walking about, I've avoided them thus far, er-huh, good to know your hiding from them too...ugh, I'll wait till the babies born, then go back to college I guess...then, I don't know, guess think of it when it happens...I best go, need to find somewhere to eat, bye...love you too." They both then hung up, her mother phoned her once in the morning at ten, and then once again at ten at night, just before she went to bed, then again, sleeping well was a lie, she was a tad pale, not sleeping brilliantly, she had a lot of worries in her mind.
► Destiny had only turned eighteen in the past month, so not the best time to have a birthday huh? Never-mind though. Before all of this happened, she was a regular girl, got decent grades in college, C's, nothing amazing, but she did her best, she also loved music and dancing, anywhere with music you would find her, she adored it, she also adored watching films, give her a rose or mini eggs she is your friend for life, okay, sounds immature, she loved those two things a lot, her family life was...eh. Her mother was a great mother, and a florist, she ran her own shop, and everything, her father was...well, a pretty crap one, he was way too authoritative, if she did something he disliked too much, he would often slap her, why her mother had taken so long to leave him she didn't know, guess it was because as long as you didn't cross him, you were fine, shame Destiny crossed him a lot, for being herself, his job...did he even have one? Some late night job, she never saw him home at night, so she had run away at night time, the time he wouldn't be home, breaking up with her boyfriend, she did in her house, with her mother in the other room, so when things got out of hand, her mother came in and threatened to call police if he didn't leave in a better manner, her mother was quite the stern but caring lady like personality, very respectable, and a saint for going through this stupid s**t, Destiny wasn't usually one to swear but this was all so stupid, snapping out of her thoughts, she put her bag down on a bench and sat down..she was tired.

♔Call him hustler!Gary Smith

Never boast – just let your importance be quietly obvious.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
The teenage male had been through Hell. His mother, who was a teenager herself when she had him, was abusive. His father was never around. He was a high school dropout and was sucked into the confidence game early. His mentor in the con game had pulled off a huge con to pay to make him have plastic surgery. He was reborn, but still the same boy he was when he was kicked out of school. To him. it was worth it: he was leaving his past behind. The con game came naturally to him, though he had a hard time concentrating on the details. Once he was let lose, he and the other teenage runaway his mentor had taken in went their separate ways. He had a backpack with the tools of his trade as well as things a normal kid would have: a deck of cards, knock off clothes of varying degrees of rattiness, a wallet that wasn't his.
Gary had been stalking Destiny for a while now. He was attempting a 'psychic' service for some extra cash and was total crap at cold reading. So, he was learning everything he could about the potential mark. He learned that she was running from someone, or multiple someones, because she was pregnant. He had come to grow attached to this girl, debating on if he should scam her or protect her from those she was running away from. He adjusted his brown paperboy cap and made sure the shadow fell over his eyes, which were blue thanks to colored contacts. He used to have a scar over his right eye, and the plastic surgery only partly took that scar away. It was still visible in the right light, because it was apparently too old to completely get rid of. Then again, the surgeon was a quack and probably didn't know what to do with it. So, he wore hats and never cut his hair. The scar was unnoticeable that way. He listened in to the conversation she was having with her mother.
Maybe he could make a deal with the girl. Not scam her, but whoever she was hiding from. Yes. That would do well. He could kidnap her and send a ransom note to the people she was running from. Then, he could keep her safe. He nodded to himself. That's what he'll do. He moved from his hiding place to the bench and sat down next to her. "Hello, miss. I couldn't help but overhear your predicament. You need someplace to eat?" He couldn't let on that he'd been stalking her since she left home. So, he'd take her to get some lunch, then set his plan in motion. He'd have to incapacitate her so he could take her to his 'base' in town. Would it be easier just to ask? No, not really. He felt that she would probably never agree to staging a kidnapping so a con man could get her ex and father's money. Besides, a real kidnapping would be more convincing. "I know a cheap place in the center of town, if you're on a budget." This place was the easiest to swindle. He was shocked they didn't catch on to his tricks yet.

"xxI feel alive, when your beside me, I will not die..I'll wait here for you...xx"
▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ♔ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬
► Destiny would never help fake a kidnapping to con her ex or her father...well, truth be told she'd be over the moon if someone did con them, be highly amusing and some karma in this damned world, however, she could never assist in it, it sounded ironic, but she guessed it was easier to wish bad onto someone than to be apart of it, however much those monsters deserved it. How did she not know she was being followed? Well, lets be fair, she was already paranoid and hiding from her ex and her father, avoiding two people was tough enough, would she really of noticed a third party? No, no way in hell. Snapping out of her thoughts, she looked to her side, seeing a handsome male sitting next to her, remember what mother told her as a little girl: be aware of handsome men. She then blinked when the male said he couldn't help but hear her problems, hearing him ask if she needed something to eat she bit her lip...she hated charity, she wasn't a damsel in distress, she wasn't Cinderella waiting for a prince charming, she could handle it herself...looking down to her stomach, she sighed to herself, Cinderella wasn't pregnant with a child though...usually she would of declined and struggled by herself but...she did need to feed a baby. So...she might as well take this offer, just once, wouldn't hurt. "Um...yes, I do, I'm not from around here so...I don't know where the shops or anywhere is."
► Which was true, she'd never traveled so far before, so it was rather...interesting. Again, would never stage a kidnapping, and would rather not be kidnapped by a man she has never met before. Hm, a cheap place in the center of town? Well, she didn't know the town at all, a local showing her to a place to eat wasn't that big of a deal right? Eh, was kind of weird someone being so nice...maybe he just wanted to grab lunch with someone and heard she needed somewhere to eat...probably. Should she really shoot the first bit of kindness to come her way apart from her mother? Nodding shyly, she gave a gentle smile. "Thank you...that would be nice. My names Destiny, nice to meet ya." Might as well introduce herself right? Good thing he gave up the 'psychic' stuff, although she's open minded about ghosts, she doesn't believe in psychics, even she knows they are all con artists, but then again, she was...cautious around most strangers these days, and was tired of being so tense all of the time, so maybe...just relax for once. "I-If showing me into town isn't too much trouble, I don't want to put you out of your way or anything." Doesn't want to seem rude, although she wouldn't allow herself to get use to the help. Wonders who the guy is, probably just a local or something? The last local she met was a guy at a hot dog stand who gave her a free hot dog, such a nice man, that was yesterday though, she noticed some were quick to judge and some were not. Standing up gently from the bench, she brushed herself off, shouldn't get use to sitting down, needed to keep moving often. She then picked up her backpack, and swung it around her shoulders, and put her phone in her pocket. "We should probably head off quickly so I don't hold you up, most strangers aren't so kind to someone who isn't a local." Usually the inner circle stuff, she never saw the big deal about the whole inner circle, you didn't meet new people or friends with that attitude. Glancing at the sky, at least it was a nice day today, had a feeling the days would get colder, it was winter and a sunny day in winter seemed like a blessing, though the sun may not last, so she should probably get inside, no one liked rain, or at least she hated it.

No, he was not a local. He was born and raised hundreds of miles from this small town. But he could be that convincing. And he apparently was. Destiny let her guard down and decided that it wouldn't hurt to come with him. Big mistake. He was going to have her now. His mind went to the unborn baby for just a moment. In nine months, Destiny will be giving birth to a baby and he couldn't con his way out of hospital bills. Oh well. He had nine months to straighten that out. Or less, if he decided to con the two men who she was running from. One of the two knocked her up, from what his information told him. They made her dance with them unwillingly. He wasn't a moral man, but someone as lovely as his current mark shouldn't have to suffer for the sins of her partner. He was told from his mother that she suffered when she was pregnant with him every night he was with her. He didn't want the same to happen to her. That was impossible, though, so he'd have to make her as comfortable as possible while she was in his care. He had things set up for her at home, thanks to a contact of his at the local travelling show. It would be a strange oxymoron: a con man treating his kidnapped mark like a queen.
"Well, I'd be happy to take you into town. It would be no trouble at all." He smiled, taking her hand. "I'm Gary. Don't worry about the morons in town. People can be so... judging." He understood where she was coming from. He had to charm his a** off in order to get people in town to trust him. He conned and reloaded the townsfolk plenty of times. It was nuts. Still, he was able to convince them he was on the level every time. How moronic.
Time to put his plan into action, at any rate. He picked her pocket and took the phone so fast, not many people would catch it. He didn't want the phone to sell, but he didn't want her calling for help, either. He lead her into town and through back roads and alleyways until he got to an abandoned store front. It looked like it was a diner at one time, so he wasn't lying, per se. He opened the door and pushed her in, a small frown darkening his face. When she was in, he closed and locked the door behind her, using a key he was wearing around his neck. "The kitchen in the back is fully stocked. I can make you anything you want. However, I am not letting you leave." His tone sounded uncertain for a brief moment, like he had never done this before. He walked over to the front counter and opened the cash drawer. He took out his wallet and put two hundred dollars in the drawer. "Please, don't scream. I doubt anyone will hear you."

"xxI feel alive, when your beside me, I will not die..I'll wait here for you...xx"
▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ♔ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬
► He sounded local to her, but then it was easy to fool people who were not from around there, even smart ones, heck, he even sounded to have a slight local accent to her, must be from hanging about the town so long, shame she didn’t know that. Was a very convincing guy, doesn’t help someone yesterday had been nice to her and wasn’t planning to kidnap her. Was a big mistake, the one time she’d let her guard down, she had not let her guard down in ages, distrusting anyone who approached her, any of them could secretly know her ex or father, she’d avoided all but every stranger who spoke to her, she’d lied about her identity, she’d looked them up on the net, simple to say, she’d suffered slight paranoia, and to avoid it becoming permanent had decided to trust this one guy…oh, why did she always pick the bad guys? Why not one, genuine, normal guy, huh? Seems she was as cursed as her mother with that. Is terrified of giving birth, and paying hospital bills, thus why she’d really like to know her phone was missing, so she could phone her mother. Sadly she didn’t even know her phone was missing, should of put it in her backpack with everything else, but she had only put it in her pocket because it was just easier for her, and she was trying not to be overly paranoid, she should of stayed paranoid.
► Yes, girls were always comfortable with being kidnapped…um, no, not really. Feeling him take her hand, she looked at him curiously and gave a shy smile, try not to be rude to him, was all she thought, don’t push people away…it was just one guy, right? She was only walking into town with him, town had lots of peoples in it, so even if he was to pull something funny, people would see, and call the cops, sounded smart right? Usually it was, not go anywhere with a stranger unless there are other people around, and there would be…yeah, so, breath. ”Oh…thank you, hope the walk isn’t too far-” She felt being lead towards the town, making sure to keep hold of her backpack. Hearing people can judge easily, she nodded. ”I learned that…rather quickly, don’t worry about it.” He may be charming, but she was still somewhat cautious. Will not be happy when she finds out her phone was taken, she needs to let her mother know she was okay, great, now she’s going to freak her mother out…now she’s an even more terrible daughter! Her mother had it rough enough without not being able to call her own daughter!
► The back road and alleyways made her subtly panic somewhat, not trusting him as much, but she saw the odd by-passer, so it seemed legit, right? However, when she saw the abandoned store front, she looked confused and was about to say something or move away from him…but he pushed her inside the door, and she caught herself on a table, careful would you! Noticing him close the door…and then lock it, she gulped, and stepped away from him. Not letting her… leave? She really does not need another psycho in her life! She has two of them, right now, didn’t need a third, honest. ”W-What do you mean…?” It’s not like she had anything a kidnapper would want, she had average money, but then she noticed he had money, he didn’t seem like the beating up women type…and she prayed to God he wasn’t another rapist, one it would hurt the baby and two…just no more stupid men who can’t control their damned downstairs. Hearing him tell her to not scream, she scrambled into her pocket and…where was her phone!? Glancing towards the male, she glared at him.
► ”Look, I don’t care who you are, but give me back my ******** phone! I need to keep in contact with my mom, so she knows I’m safe! I am not having her panic everyday about me, she does that enough as it is, so…give, it, back.” Was fed up of men and their stupid games right now, she wanted, her God damn phone, she adored her mother, and the thought of her mother crying at night worrying about her, made Destiny want to cry. She tried to make her voice as stern and threatening as she could make it…sadly, it didn’t work too well, her eyes looked at him more scared than anything, and she was trying very hard to control her breathing…what if he did know her ex or her father!? Then they’d of hired him and they’d come collect her and then…breath, breath, struggling to breath, forcing herself to sit on a chair, she took a deep breath, one month pregnant and this is what happens…screw another eight months. ”….What do you want? I have nothing to give you…” Looking to the floor and sighing, brushing her hair out of her face…wait, he offered her food? Well…one good sign at least, wasn’t much, but she had something positive to focus on at least, however small it may be.

♔Call him hustler!Gary Smith

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
"Calm down, please." Gary's tone was oddly colorless. There was no emotion in it. He was not the type to beat up anyone anymore. The con game taught him that you can do more damage with actions than with one's fists. He turned from the cash register and took a breath. "I promise you, I'm not out to hurt you or the unborn child." He cleared his throat and lit a large lantern with a cigarette lighter. The light of the lantern revealed that the place was filled with cheap paperback books, two of the booths were converted into beds, and that the place hadn't been used as a diner for years. "I mean what I said. I cannot let you leave this diner. Not yet, anyway." He walked over to her and let his hands fall at his side. "I know a lot more about your situation than you think. Someone wants to hurt you and it's obvious from the fetus growing inside you that someone already has."
He watched her look through her pockets and demand her phone. "I understand. From what I have observed, your mother is not the problem." He walked back to the cash register and opened it, taking her phone out. He walked back and handed it to her. "You have a faint signal in here, but it should be enough to take calls. But, I'd rather you not call the police." He was making a mistake, he thought. A cell phone would be dangerous in the hands of a victim. In his eyes, though, he was protecting her. He sat on the table next to her and took a breath.
"I don't want money, sex or to hurt you at all." The best card he could play right now was the truth. So, he decided to play it. "I know about the people who want to hurt you, as I said. I was taught never to hurt a woman. I want to protect you and your unborn child." Gary took of his hat and placed it beside him. He took a deep breath and shook his head. "You can keep in contact with your mother while you are in my care. I don't care what you tell her. If the men that hurt you call, pass the phone to me. I can lead them away from you." He folded his arms. "You are not to ask how I obtain money, food or anything else I bring into this diner, but I will bring you anything you want or need." He looked at the door. "I will knock five times when I want to come in. Only open the door for me or the doctor I will bring to monitor your pregnancy." This doctor was a friend of his from the group of con artists he would occasionally run long cons with. He slid off of the table and let his arms return to a more relaxed position. "Make yourself comfortable. You will be here for the duration of your pregnancy. Then, when it is safe, you can go home."

"xxI feel alive, when your beside me, I will not die..I'll wait here for you...xx"
▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ♔ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬
► Hearing the man ask her to calm down she shot him a confused look, who would be calm when they had been kidnapped? Really? This guy just got stranger by the minute. “Sorry I don’t react well to being kidnapped.“ She didn’t mean to come off so blunt, but honestly, he kidnapped her and expected her not to panic? Not very likely, for anyone not to of panicked. Her father and ex were more about fists than words, so they’d have an interesting debate on which hurt more, fists or talk, although in her experience, she’d rather not experience either. Really…she trusted someone, and look what happened, could you trust anyone in this world?
► Sighing to herself, she just rubbed her stomach, her eyes shot wide open when he mentioned she was pregnant…how did he…know that…okay…creepy. ”H-How do you know I have a child? O-Only one person I told directly, and two found out by force…how could you know-” Had he been looking up information about her or something? Then again…was it just luck he walked up to her at that bench or…had he been following her…but no, she’d of noticed, she was not that naïve, she would of noticed someone stalking her for so long…but then again, she has been, and still is, very paranoid about her ex or her father…so maybe she’d been so paranoid about them, she’d forgot about everyone else around her…s**t. Watching the male light a lantern, she glanced around curiously, beds…?
► This place didn’t seem like it had been used for years…dang, she needed a cup of tea. Can’t let her leave the diner? Not yet? When he walked over to her, she looked up at him somewhat, and somewhat away, hearing the information about her being told to her, she couldn’t help but grin, her life really wasn’t very private it, was it? ”You research me behind my back, possibly stalk me, then kidnap, and expect me to be calm and trust you, I did trust you when I let my guard down, and you betrayed it…so why should I trust you again…” Being betrayed so often really was killing her trust in people…sigh, and this kidnapper seemed the safest betrayer, oh how fun for her. Though it was none of his concern…she didn’t need help, well she did, but…ugh, she didn’t really imagine someone would try and help her like this, usually she was more upbeat and friendly…but this situation kind of took it out of a person. Her eyes followed the man, his every movement, yeah, her paranoia was back again, and he was going back to the cash machine. Observed? Yeah, he had stalked her, go figure.
► ”No…she is not the problem at all.” Her voice sheepish and not really…there somewhat. Glancing at the male in confusion when he handed her, her phone back, she took it out of his hand, trying to control her shaking hand, and glanced at her phone, why give it to her if she could the police? Then again…as nice as it was to tell him she could call the police, if she called the police, the police would find her, yes, but then the police would tell her father and ex where she was…and they‘d come and collect her…so, the police were useless to her. ”No point in calling the police anyway, if police find me…so do the other two, so even though the police would mean well, they would only get me in danger.” Hm, run away from two men run into another man, really? She got to call her mother though, and that made her happy.
► Glancing at the male once again, she turned in her chair, to see him on a chair on the table next to her, hearing that he didn’t want money, sex or to hurt her at all, she could not help but give him an untrusting look, though, could you blame her? Not long ago he’d betrayed her trust and kidnapped her, whatever motives, it was betraying her, so it was hard for her to trust him right now. Wanting to…protect her…but why…he may of stalked her, or whatever, but he didn’t know her, why would you kidnap someone to help them? ”Call me stupid…but your not making any sense, why kidnap someone to help them? Why do you even care, you don’t know me right, and I have nothing to give you, so why would you wish to give me help…and why like this…” Obvious questions she’d ask, and honestly, she didn’t know how to feel, part of her wanted to scream and run around out of fear, another part of her wanted to play it cool and calm, and play this card game and see how it went, another part of her wanted to curl up and sleep for the next fifty years.
► Ha, answer the phone to her father or ex, she didn’t even answer them, the thought of hearing her fathers voice scared her…hearing her ex’s voice…just made her cry, too bad memories, shaking her head, she wiped the thoughts from her mind. ”I don’t answer the phone to them anyway…I only answer to my mother…” Not even her friends or teachers she’ll answer to, you never know if it is truly them. Only answer the door if he knocks five times, so he’d leave her in there alone, and able to escape…maybe he does mean well…but it could be a trap, false words or genuine…she just didn’t know how to judge anymore. A doctor? No offence, if this guy was crooked, how did she know the doctor knew what he was doing. ”No offence, but you seem to know crooked people, is the doctor actually a safe one? Sorry, I’ve heard of some…bad doctors, how can I trust another stranger?” Let alone another male…dear God, what with the gender ratio?
► At least she was use to men trying to pull things, so maybe it was a good thing. She could go home once she had the kid? If he was being honest or not…who knew, but for now, it seemed a safe place, away from her father and her ex, however, how safe ‘Gary’ was, was debatable, it was try and escape, and be heading towards nowhere again, and maybe be found by her ex and her father, or even re-kidnapped by ‘Gary’, or stay put, play his card game, and just try and get out once she had the kid…lets see how it goes. ”…Very well.” Standing up from her chair, she sighed and rubbed her head, she emptied her back pack and put all of her spare clothes on the bed, her perfume and deodorant, her mobile, her hair brush, the few bits of food and drink she’d bought, three bottles of water and two sandwiches, thus why she’d needed to find a place with proper food, she had some eye shadow and eye liner with her, her mother had bought it for her, for her birthday, she was not losing that, she placed it all on her bed, before sitting down on the bed, hearing her stomach rumble slightly, dress makes you hungry I guess.

♔Call him hustler!Gary Smith

Never boast – just let your importance be quietly obvious.

She didn't trust him any longer. He expected that. He did, after all, kidnap her. Deep down, it hurt. He wanted to help, but didn't know how. "Why? I suppose you have no real reason to trust a man who betrayed your trust like that." That was what he was used to doing: betraying the trust of those he took advantage of. "I will lay my cards on the table. Yes, I have been stalking you. I'm not telling you why, as it is irrelevant. Yes, I know about the pregnancy because I have been stalking you. I have no affiliation with the ones that hurt you. I don't even know who they are or how they are related to you. I just know that you are one month along in the pregnancy and these people are chasing you." He looked away from her. He knew she was never going to completely trust him again. But, he needed her to trust him to keep her safe. Damned ADD. Why was medication so ******** expensive? It was obvious he hadn't thought things all the way through.
She wasn't going to call the police because of those chasing her. He was relieved to know that she couldn't call for help. No, he made no sense at all. "Look. I haven't taken medication in four years. I'm losing my touch with the details, but I really do mean well. Not like my word means anything at this point."He brushed his hair out of his eyes and the scar over his right eye was visible. She made a point about the doctor. He'd ******** up his whole plan already. "I am only eighteen, Destiny, and a high school drop out. I know nothing about female anatomy. I don't want you to lose your child because I was a moron and hurt it because of my lack of knowledge." He was opening up to her because he was stressed out. This wasn't going well and he knew it. He'd never helped someone before and seemed to be doing everything wrong. "The doctor happens to be one in town. Runs a private practice. She'll think your my sister, but she's legit."
He took a breath and dug into his pockets for a student identification card. "I doubt you think I'm on the level. I know I wouldn't. But, I'm going to give you this. If it got in the wrong hands, I'd be screwed. You aren't the only one running away." He put the card on her lap. "It isn't forged. It's mine." It said that, years before, Gary Smith was a student at Bullworth Academy. The picture was slightly different from the teenager that looked at her now. He turned and walked into the kitchen, feeling a little hungry as well.
Soon, sounds of things cooking and sizzling could be heard from the kitchen. Gary placed a kettle of hot water on the stove. It was a gas stove, so he didn't really need electricity to use it. After a while, he came back with a teapot full of Earl Gray, two cups and a plate of grilled chicken. "Here." He didn't look at her. He couldn't feel guilty, but he felt a little disappointed that his plan was falling apart. He cut the chicken in half and took a piece for himself, just to prove to her that he didn't poison the food. He poured the tea, and drank from his cup, again in an attempt to make her see that he hadn't poisoned it. "Is there a way I can get you to trust me a little? I'm not asking for complete trust, but I do want you to understand my intentions." He knew she was going to attack him for asking that. But, he had to ask. There may be a way.

"xxI feel alive, when your beside me, I will not die..I'll wait here for you...xx"
▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ♔ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬
► Good thing he expected it then, otherwise she’d wonder how intelligent this guy actually is, hm, being kidnapped, well that was a new one on her list of ‘what’s happened to you’ this year. Hearing the mans comment, she nodded slightly, no, she didn’t have a reason to trust him, as like he said, she’d already betrayed her trust once. ”No, I do not not have a reason to trust you, thus why I’m wondering why I should.” Glancing around the building, she rubbed her neck slightly, what a strange situation to be in, wasn’t it? Still does not understand why this man wants to help her, he stalked her, why did he stalk her? To help her? It didn’t make any sense. Has had enough of being taken advantage of, and will watch this guys every damned step if she has to, to make sure she’ll be okay.
► Listening to what the male said, and seeing him turn his head away, she thought for a moment, not bad information, for a stalker she supposed. So he’d been talking her for an alternative purpose? Which what? Lead to him wanting to help her? Ironic she supposed. ”I assumed you’d been stalking me already, no other way you could of known I was pregnant.” Though when he said he didn’t know who was chasing her, she sighed slightly and shook her head. ”You would believe me about the one person…but the other male I doubt people would believe me…” But then heck, her father didn’t even believe her that she was raped, he believed she just had sex and it back fired, thus why he’s being divorced, nice one sick d**k head. Well, as long as her mother could talk to her, things were not so bad, minus this situation…which was…um…how to feel about it? She did not know.
► He really doesn’t make sense at all, thus Destiny could only do her best to try and figure him out, though it seemed highly unlikely she was going to, seems her judge of character was very…interesting, this past year. Oh great…a guy on medication, what fun, even better…oh well. ”How much does the medication cost? I think I have enough.” She offered, but hey, if she was staying with him, she’d rather he have a clear head than a clouded one, men seemed more dangerous with a clouded mind than a clear mind in her experience, and the money she had, she had no purpose for. Tilting her head when she noticed the scar, though the mention of the doctor she nodded gently. ”I see…well, nothing wrong with being a high school drop out, it isn’t for everyone right? Well, were both eighteen, so isn’t being a teenager grand?”
► The first comment was meant to be kind, the last comment about being a teenager was obviously a joke. Hearing the doctor was legit, she couldn’t help but smile, well, that was something good…right, on the run she’d had no way to check her pregnancy…guess being kidnapped had one good side, the doctor, typical, no choices she could make, that made sense. Watching the man put something on her lap, she picked up the ID card, and looked at it…before looking back at him, well, he had a far better hair style now, that was for sure, eh, humour, not helping. How did he look different…well, it was years ago, guess he changed? Probably. ”Um…are you alright? I noticed the scar…” Hopes he didn’t hurt himself too badly or something, why was she being caring, she should be angry or something! But if she couldn’t escape, might as well make the best of it, right?
► Hearing the cooking, she breathed in a happy sigh, putting his ID card in her purse, should be safe there, it didn’t look forged, she guessed, though she wondered why he’d dropped out, not that it was any of her business. When she saw the male with a tea pot of tea, and grilled chicken, a slight smile showed, had not eaten cooked food in a while. Once he’d taken his piece of chicken, she held her knife and fork, and took a bite of her piece of chicken and smiled, well it tasted nice, pouring herself some tea into her cup, she blew on her hot tea so not to burn herself, this couldn’t get any stranger surely? Good thing to know he’d not poisoned anything, but then why kidnap someone to poison them, guess some people killed like that…bit pointless though. Hearing the mans question she turned to face him in shock at his question, refraining from biting his head off, since she really did not want the stress on her throat right now, she thought for a moment. ”I’m…not sure…I guess…”
► Though what it was, truth be told even she didn’t know currently, how could he get her to trust him a little? Sighing to herself, she looked at her phone, and grabbed a piece of paper, and a pen, and wrote down two numbers, one was her fathers, one was her ex boyfriends, since he’d used it to ring her. ”I can’t say I trust you…but I might as well trust you somewhat if you can keep those two people from me, their numbers are there, they are the ones chasing me…my ex who wants me to abort, and my father who wants me to abort, also my father does not believed I was raped…so, I suppose, if you keep them away from me…my trust in you might grow somewhat…” Her voice was shaken whenever she mentioned those two men, she slid the paper over to Gary, and then put her phone on the table. ”My mother only calls at ten in the morning and ten at night, unless it is an emergency so any call in-between then is usually never my mother.” If the phone rang, say at three in the evening, and Gary picked it up, he could bet his best bet it wasn’t her mother. The young women then picked up her cup, and took a small sip of tea.
♔Call him hustler!Gary Smith

Never pry into a person’s personal circumstances. They’ll tell you all eventually...
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
She had every right to wonder why she should trust Gary. They did start this relationship on the wrong foot. It was all this fault, but, seriously, would she have come with him under normal circumstances? He walked over to the cash machine and pulled a pack of cigarettes out from behind it. He had to self medicate with the damned cancer sticks. They kept him calm and that helped him focus. He put the cigarette in his mouth and shrugged. She was offering to buy his medication, but something about that didn't feel right. "I don't know. I think one hundred and forty something? I don't need that crap, anyway." He never did like medication. Though, not taking medication seemed to get him into mass amounts of trouble. "Thanks for the offer, but save that money for something that matters."
He knew the girl was trying to figure him out. He was cryptic by design. He had changed a lot since that picture was taken. When that picture was taken he was ruthless, heartless and cruel. The woman that took him in after he'd ran away taught him to suppress most of his cruelty and anger though the art of the con. This was why he was tame right now: the life of a con artist seemed to be enough to restore a little of his humanity, just in time to help Destiny. Destiny. What an appropriate name. "Yeah. I suppose school isn't for everyone." He was actually kicked out of school for being an anarchist. Go figure. He chuckled at the comment about being a teenager. Yeah, being a teenager was grand. He lit the cigarette and frowned at the mention of his scar. "Happened years ago. I can't remember what happened, so let's say I ran with scissors when I was a kid." He smirked. That would have to do for now.
She gave him the phone numbers and explained the situation. Her ex boyfriend raped her and her father didn't believe she was taken advantage of? He shook a little. It was worse than he thought. He was taught to control his temper, no easy feat. But, this, for some reason, made him irate. "What the ********? What, did he think you had... what's the term... immaculate conception or something? A father should believe what his daughter says! They need to get what's coming to them!" He took a drag of the cigarette and growled slightly. That was it. He was draining their bank accounts so fast, their heads were going to spin. He had contacts in other towns. He could have his contacts pick up the money and it would send the ex and father on a wild goose chase. "I assume you have plans to keep the baby, then? Have you any names, or is that too soon?" He was crap at making small talk. This would be interesting.

"xxI feel alive, when your beside me, I will not die..I'll wait here for you...xx"
▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ♔ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬
► Keeps wondering why she should trust Gary, but right now, he was her best bet, weird huh. Would she of come with him under normal circumstances? Good question, shame she didn’t have an answer, she didn’t honestly know in herself what she would of done, everything she did lately was either perfectly planned to paranoia, or completely spontaneous, never both though. Cigarettes? Should probably not smoke near her, could damage the child. Her meditation was usually through music or dancing, dancing was either dance music, duh, or R&B, though most of it was crap, some was good, or rock music to calm her down, well alternative rock, time of dying, miss murderer, land of confusion, kind of stuff. Tended to try her best to give to people, if she could, hearing he didn’t need the crap anyway, she looked into her backpack, and got her purse out, she looked around, and then put two hundred on the table Gary was sat at.
► ”If I’m going to be staying with you, I might as well help pay my way, besides, if that crap helps you focus and keep calm, it’s better for the both of us, so the cash is there if you get desperate, alright?” She had nothing to spend the cash on anyway, she’d stolen whatever she could of from her fathers wallet the night she sneaked off, by the time her father got home from work their was a note from her, about her running away, and a note from her mother, the divorce and her mother living elsewhere for now. If not taking medication got him in trouble, she would rather stay out of trouble herself. ”I have nothing to buy that would matter, if I’m honest.” Which she was being, didn’t know what to spend it on, she had stolen as much money from her father as she could, he was a rich man…somehow, ******** knows how, doctor or lawyer or something, her father was smart, but a good person? Not at all. Usually Destiny was more upbeat, friendly, smiling quite happy melody and a free spirit, though she could have a sharp tongue if you pushed her.
► No, school wasn’t for everyone, in college she was barely making the c grades she needed, with one A in her pocket though, at least that saved her somewhat. Seeing his smirk, and the joke of him running with scissors, she couldn’t help but smile a little. ”Thus why kids should only be given plastic scissors, I never liked scissors myself, I’d rather of painted in school or run outside.” Enjoyed the playground a lot, when she was little, cart wheels, all that kind of stuff. Eh, males in her life sucked, what could she say? Could have been a lot worse, she’d heard worse happen in the news, but then, she was lucky to get out of there when she had, some girls, or guys for that matter, didn’t escape so soon, her mother had helped a lot. A look of shock crossed her face by what Gary said as she sighed and looked down. ”My father really liked my ex, and I suppose my father thinks I had unprotected sex, and lied about him raping me to cover it…I guess…“
► Rubbing her head, she really didn’t understand her father, well, he was sexist, and never really did like Destiny that much, so who knew? Maybe he thought her ex was goof for her. “Only thing I can think of…my mother believes me, actually…my mother is divorcing my father due to being sick with how he is acting, my mother is staying with friends. I guess my father never did exactly like me, I didn‘t seem good enough, and my ex he thought suited me, the men tend to be his choice over mind…my father‘s just a d**k…” Sighing, she continued to drink her tea. Yep, fathers should believe their daughters, but hey, her father favoured her ex, so whatever, probably would want her to get back with him, um, no. Her father had a lot of money in the bank, and she meant a lot, the numbers might make Gary’s head spin, but the numbers dropping, her father would probably throw up, her father loved money, and came from a wealthy background, and any of his ex wives, he probably took every penny from them, somehow, her ex, who knows how much he had?
► He had a decent job, so she guessed he had saving. Hearing him ask her what kind of names she’d thought of, or if it was too soon, she smiled shyly. ”Well…I don’t know of names yet. And, yes, I want to keep the baby, one reason my father is chasing me, he’d want me to abort, though if I stayed with my ex, he’d probably think I could keep the baby if I become a house wife, but I know my ex would want me to abort, however it needed to be done…thus why I can not let them find me…names…I don’t know…I’m bad with names, I like the name Lance for a male…sounds strong and noble, unlike my father…girls, Rose sounds pretty…” Realizing how long she’d talked for, she finished her food, and wiped her lips with a napkin shyly, and stood up gently, taking her plate and his plate to the kitchen, and cleaned up, able to hear the water and maybe some rubbing of the plates, before putting them away to dry, she then joined Gary again, sitting down. Her name...how ironic it had been the past few months, she wonders what kind of destiny her mother had wanted for her in comparison, her mother believed everything happened for a reason...so lets hope it got better huh?

♔Call him hustler!Gary Smith

Never pry into a person’s personal circumstances. They’ll tell you all eventually...
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
What the Hell? Gary eyed the cash she put on the table. She was giving him money. How strange that that was his goal from the beginning. Just not under these circumstances. He gave her a small smile and pocketed the cash. He at least owed it to her to go to the apothecary and get his medication. He'll have to do that later, when Destiny was asleep. "I suppose that's true. I'll think about it." He took another slow drag and exhaled the smoke through his nose. He'd have to get a book or two on pregnancy. He'd have to be prepared for anything with this plan. He was now in charge of two lives, after all.
"Yeah. I was more interested in war games as a kid, to be honest." He shrugged. Her story was angering him more and more. It was good her mother believed her about the situation, but now he finds that her two enemies were allies? No. He was out for blood now. Conning those two wouldn't be enough of a painful lesson. The father may be loaded, which was a plus. The dark part of his fractured personality winked through in his eyes, but for no more than a second. He took a deep drag, regaining his composure. "Now I know I did the right thing. Those two are as good as..." The corner of his mouth twitched. "Don't worry about them. They became my problem the moment you walked in the door, friend. You'll find that is a very good thing." The utter destruction of Destiny's father and ex boyfriend will be his next scheme. He was quite an evil schemer, having once tried to take over his former high school. He was also like a dog when it came to plans. His sights were now locked on this one goal. If he took his medication, that would be the end.
Lance or Rose. She really wanted to be a mother. He smiled a small smile and threw his cigarette to the floor, crushing it out. "You really are safe now. Both you and your child." He walked over to her and touched her stomach. He looked at the door and sighed. "I need to go to the shopping district for a few things. Remember, don't open the door until you hear me knock five times." He walked out the door and ran like a shot to the bookstore, the drugstore and the grocery store. He came back an hour later, knocking on the door five times.
When he was let in, he dropped his purchases on the counter by the cash register and pulled out a bottle of Adderall. He opened the bottle and took a pill. "Are you hoping for a boy or a girl?" He asked, walking over to his bed and turned on a flash light. He cracked open the book he'd bought about pregnancy and read it, his eyes scanning the page with some interest. He was acting now like he wished her ex boyfriend would. He wasn't a religious man, but if she wanted to keep the child, she should very well be able to keep it. She was the one that had to carry it for nine months. She should decide. Apparently, smoking is bad for a mother to be. s**t. He'd been smoking for years now. It would be hard to quit cold turkey. He could always smoke outside, in the back lot. That would do. "How have you been feeling? Have you been feeling ill or anything serious like that? I can get the doctor over right now, if that is the case." He was set on helping out, and he was getting paranoid for her well being. This meant he liked her.

"xxI feel alive, when your beside me, I will not die..I'll wait here for you...xx"
▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ♔ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬
► Noticing him eye the cash she put on the table, she shrugged gently. He was paying for her food and everything, so in the long run, this might not even be much money compared to what he’ll spend, so she might as well help out. Hearing him say he’d think about it she nodded gently. ”Thanks, just make sure not to lose the cash.” Not the time to give anything unwillingly, it was never her style really. Interested more in war games? A smiled crossed her lips. ”I see, I mainly played video games or went outside…or ate too many mini eggs around…” Why she’d said that she didn’t know, she just had a comfortable moment she guessed.
► Her mother believed her, though that was costing her mother quite a lot, but her mother was a stubborn women, and didn’t tend to back down to anything, especially when it came to her daughter. Hm, easier to hunt someone down if you get help, so the two working together didn’t shock her, they both wanted to find her, so having the same goal, you would seek help wouldn’t you? Or so she’d read about. For a mere second she swore she saw a change in his eyes…must have been the light. Hm? What was he going to say? Noticing the corner of his mouth twitch, she felt a bit uncomfortable, but then maybe he was just angry at the story. He did the right thing? Well, she would soon enough find out wouldn’t she? ”Um…thank you. I wont worry about them…the memories are just on my mind a lot…” Sighing, she shook her head, playing with her hair slightly.
► She had always wanted to be a mother, though this age was a lot younger than she’d wanted, but she wouldn’t lose the child, it deserved as nice of a future as she could give it, however little that may be, she would try. Has no idea Gary could ever go after someone’s blood, he could appear to be a lot of things, that people would be cautious over or worry he could become dangerous, but the blood aspect she’d never seen in him. Doesn’t really know what she’d want to happen to her ex or father, she just didn’t want them to be in her life anymore, she cared zero for her ex, of course there is always that somewhat lingering care for her father, but it was all but non existent anymore. Though she does hope he takes his medication, less trouble for the both of them.
► Noticing him crush the cigarette she smiled, she’d been breathing away from the smoke, so it should be okay. Watching him walk over to her and touch her stomach, she breathed gently, no one had done that yet, looking up to the male, she nodded gently. Something about him still unsettled her, she didn’t know what, but for the most part, it was better here than out on the road she imagined. Would of replied to him, but he was already gone…damn he could run fast, ironically, Destiny was a terrible runner, you’d need to drag her to make a get away, good thing she never became a thief. For the past hour, Destiny had had an half an hour nap, and the last half a hour, she had been drinking a lot of tea, until she heard the door knock five times, she stood up, and walked to the door, before opening it for Gary. Hearing the question boy or girl…she thought for a moment.
► ”As long as it is born healthy…I suppose I do not mind, giving birth to it terrifies me, so I suppose I have not thought about the long run yet.” Even if her ex boyfriend had acted like this, he was still a rapist and abusive, she’d of never stayed with him, and she’d rather of died than have him be around her child. Carrying it for a month now, the time seemed so slow, but she tended to believe it was her choice, whether people liked it or not. Destiny was…semi-religious, she liked the belief in God and Jesus…imagining a force for good in this world, really gave her hope, though evolution also made sense, but she always believed this world was more special than an lucky explosion, who knew? She didn’t debate much about it, no point.
► Smoking outside would probably be bets, if he smoked in the back, and she came into the back, the smoke would still linger, if he wanted to be sure it was safe, Destiny never minded smokers, as long as they were polite about it, she didn’t like the smell, at all, but if someone opened a window or something, she’d be fine. Has no idea he likes her, but then again, he had been stalking her for slightly over a month, while she’d only met him today, so she wouldn’t have the same feelings of course…though hopefully she could grow to trust him. Shaking her head gently, she smiled. ”I had a short nap while you were gone, but no I am fine thank you, I had been taking care of myself pretty well…I don’t drink enough though, so you might want to force me to drink plenty, my mother has to remind me to drink, I guess my mind just doesn’t think it’s important…silly mind.” Shrugging gently, she never couple help it either, just weird she guessed.
♔Call him hustler!Gary Smith

Never pry into a person’s personal circumstances. They’ll tell you all eventually...
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Video games? He never really played those. No time, no money, no focus. "I used to play outside a lot, too." He never had anyone to play with, though. He was a loner who never believed in friendship. He didn't believe in a lot of things. Why believe in what you can't feel, what you can't see or detect with the senses. God, hope, love; he couldn't comprehend any of them. He wanted to try to understand the non-physical, but he wasn't about to let his guard down to do so. Not just yet.
There was a lot the girl didn't know about Gary. He was heartless and cruel, so his classmates would have told her. And, in all honesty, he could be. He could be a horrible person who would bully a lesser mercilessly. There was also a part of him that, when the moment was right, his soul was ablaze with white hot passion. This was the part of him he was attempting to contain. He latched on to his new role as a protector. He wasn't sure what drove him to take on that task. Maybe he saw a little of his mother in Destiny and wanted to see what she had to go through. Maybe he needed the company, and Destiny's purity was something he hoped would rub off on him. The reason was unclear, but he was all in. Her father and ex had better hope that Gary would never cross their path. It would not end well.
When he touched her stomach, she breathed deeply and nodded slowly. He held an unstable aura, which would unsettle anyone. He was being gentle around her, which was a rarity for the teenager. While he was out getting the items, his mind flashed to Destiny constantly. It felt like he thought he left the stove on or something. The task he'd given himself was a serious one. He had to protect a woman who, in eight months, would bring life into the world. He decided that the feeling stemmed from him taking things seriously. Yes, that must be it. He wasn't sure what would happen to him if she was caught, but he knew what would happen to her: She would go back with them, lose her baby, and might die because of them. He knew how the procedure of removing a fetus worked, but it would probably be traumatizing, being forced to be rid of it.
Gary frowned and looked up from his book. "Don't be scared. You won't be alone now, though I am a perfect stranger right now." He was crap at comforting people. It wasn't something he'd had practice with. He just didn't want her to be afraid anymore. Fear never helped anyone do anything. "I'll be sure to buy a funnel next time I go out." He played this very seriously, but was being funny. His feelings for his mark at first was clinical. You don't make friends with those you rip off. You shouldn't. Messy all around. He'd never be able to be a romance scammer as a result. But then, he found out she was pregnant and being chased. She seemed too nice to be under that kind of stress. His stalking lead him to like her a little, and something else he'd never felt before. "Does your cell phone have GPS capability or something like that?" He realised something just now. The two monsters chasing her could track her with her phone. He'd forgotten because, in his line of work, he used untraceable prepaid phones that were easy to dump.

Romance scam: You know the scams where the people get money stolen from people they fall in love with online or offline? That.
