SteveRogers
------------------
Steve looked over the girl again, now that he was able to see her features clearly. Oh, it was Cosette! He hadn't really spoken to her in the past and only knew bits and pieces of her history. Come to think of it, all he really knew about her was that she was a translator. For whatever reason, she was a fairly low-key member of S.H.I.E.L.D and the only reason he was aware of her was because he felt obligated to at least know the names of everyone in the agency. It was a mystery to him as to why she was kept in the corner most of the time, considering how many different languages were exchanged in the headquarters alone. Perhaps it was because those that spoke similar languages kept within their own groups, so translations weren't needed. In that case, foreign affairs would be the only work she got, and those were few and far between these days.
Seeing her apologetic nature, Steve's smile widened. Such manners were so lost these days! Or maybe she was just still groggy from sleep. Either way, it was appreciated. He shrugged. "You aren't in my way, I was just becoming acquainted with the new recruits. I think I've got it down." He gestured to the clipboard he had placed on the chair before grabbing it once again. He didn't want her to get the impression that he was too busy or important to converse, so he dismissed his work. He figured that he had reread the sheet enough times by now anyway (though there really wasn't any such thing as reviewing something too much).
"And uh, I don't mind spending some time with a pretty dame." Steve said this with his same smile, but he quickly caught himself and shook his head. "Er, I mean, a pretty girl. Not dame. Sorry about that." Steve often forgot that women in the present didn't like being called dames, and even back in his day they didn't particularly like it. If it slipped out, he never meant it in a derogatory way, but still he felt inclined to apologize. He wouldn't want to be seen as a disrespectful man, because he wasn't. Old habits die hard. His nerves were getting the better of him now, and his face turned slightly red again. He swept his hand through his hair in an effort to calm himself down.
"So, uh, anyway..." Steve began, trying to deter from the previous subject. "My name is Steve Rogers, or you might know my alias better, Captain America." Steve still assumed that most agents weren't aware of him as a person, so he often introduced himself this way. Again, it wasn't a way to boast about himself, just to reveal who he was. "And you're Cosette, if I'm correct. Pleasure to meet you, miss."
