Satsuki says: " I don't know what I should do... I know I must keep my siblings safe, but how do I do that? Wonderland does not play by the rules... This place doesn't even have rules. What am I going to do? I need a sign... Anything would do right about now... "

                                      Satsuki was in a rather strange predicament and he wished his face would stop letting it be known that he was terribly uncomfortable and flustered. Ix was acting like a cat. Sure, he was a Cheshire Cat but did he have to act like such a cat? Satsuki was relieved when the other stopped doing that and he didn’t mind the hand holding so much and it got him off of the strange bridge. Once they were back with the group, Ix let go of his hand and Satsuki blinked, his eyes on the miniature town and his mouth opened slightly. It was amazing. How on Earth… Wait, that’s right. This was Wonderland. This was probably nothing to everyone else in Wonderland but Satsuki was truly impressed by the sight. Ix was inquiring what he thought about it and the blue-haired male figured his awed face said it all. “I can honestly say I’ve never seen anything like it….” Nothing that was real anyways. Moving over to where Umeko was, he kissed his brother’s temple lightly and smiled at the excited Minako. Both his siblings were doing alright. Didn’t that mean something? Was this the sign he had been looking for? The utter happiness of his siblings? It sure made him feel better about his thoughts of never leaving Wonderland. Maybe… Maybe staying for a day or two wouldn’t be bad, right? He just wished the answer was more clear so he wouldn’t feel so torn.

                                      There was something, no wait, someone in Kit’s hand. Satsuki’s eyes grew noticeably wide as he stared at the little butterfly like creature. This had to be the Caterpillar from the story. He was so beautiful. Kit wasn’t hurting him which was good and it didn’t make Satsuki so nervous about Kit holding Minako. Though, he was mostly nervous that Kit would run off with Minako and try and keep her. That wouldn’t be good. Hearing Kit’s words were hard since he was speaking softer than Satsuki was used to… How was he used to it if he had just met the group? To be honest, he found himself used to all of them. Even Dahlia’s lecherous comments and ways. Loren’s moodiness. Zale’s cheerfulness. He turned to look at Ix but quickly looked away as his face flushed. Ix’s invasion of his personal space would take some getting used to. Otherwise, he was pretty much comfortable with everyone. How strange… “Excuse me…” Kit wasn’t even mentioning the reason for their coming which didn’t surprise Satsuki as he stepped closer, keeping on the opposite side of Dahlia. “We need you to take us to the White Rabbit. He’s suppose to help us get home…” He spoke softly, afraid a loud tone might hurt the Caterpillar’s ears. He didn’t want to do that…

                                      [ooc] it’s not the Kitty’s turn anymore! >D Bwahahaha~! [/ooc]

"I'm Satsuki and I'm the older brother...
”Please, would you tell me why your cat grins like that?”
“It’s a Cheshire-Cat, and that’s why.”
“I didn’t know that Cheshire-Cats always grinned; in fact, I didn’t know that cats could grin.”
“They all can, and most of ‘em do.”
“I don’t know any that do.”
“You don’t know much, and that’s a fact.”

For the first time in his life, Ix was actually really, really proud to have shown something that they thought was wonderful. Even though Satsuki didn’t say it like that, the sheer awe on his face put gave life to all the words he didn’t say. Looking back on the small town, Ix tried to see it through Satsuki’s eyes, but try as he might, he couldn’t. It was Uvasmal. It was spectacular, and Ix definitely liked to visit, but he couldn’t see it the way Satsuki did, because he’d never even seen the Other Side, let alone been there or lived there. Apparently such sights weren’t common Over There, because the little Alice had a similar look of awe on his face. Not that a place like Uvasmal was common in Wonderland. Most places in Wonderland were pretty unique. But he’d grown up here, so he knew they were wonderful and unique. He just didn’t see what was so awe-inspiring around them.

That made him frown a little, because he’d never thought that there might be good things about living on the Other Side. Obviously it was somewhat good Beyond the Mirrors, if it produced the Alices, but he’d never thought about what else might be good. But Satsuki and Umeko were so impressed with Uvasmal, even though it was just another spectacular sight to see in Wonderland, and Ix just…couldn’t see it. Maybe that was a bad thing? Wonderland was a wonderful place, but maybe not being full of awe like the Alices was bad? He didn’t know.

When Ix saw something small and fluttery rise up out of the little city, he crouched without thinking about it, flexing his fingers and watching the fluttery thing. As always, he had to beat his cat-senses over the head and remind himself that this was the beloved Caterpillar of Wonderland, and all sorts of people would be very, very upset if he gave in and caught little Vanessa like a bird. But he couldn’t help it! Nessa was so fluttery and hard to catch that Ix liked to chase him! Making a sound somewhere between a mewl and a growl, the Cheshire straightened, draping over Satsuki’s shoulders once again. Maybe if he was thinking about Satsuki and hanging on Satsuki, he could hold off on his cat-urges until Vanessa grew bigger. Hopefully Vanessa would get bigger and join them all in this size, because he was just so flittery and irresistible when he was small like that---!

He pretended to ignore Satsuki’s request to know about the White Rabbit. After all, he was most definitely not advocating for the Alices return to Beyond The Looking Glass, no matter what anyone else said. He liked having them here, and he didn’t want them to leave. So he was going to be helpful on this little journey of theirs, while being as unhelpful as could be. So there. It wasn’t like he was hiding his motives ---he’d said right out that he didn’t want Satsuki and his siblings to go. Maybe. He might have implied it. But it was obvious. They really ought to pay more attention to these sorts of things.

Zale would never get tired of visiting Uvasmal. He loved the miniature place. He wouldn’t want to live there, because he and Loren had their cozy little cottage that they’d grown up in, and he would never want to leave that. But if there were times when he and Loren weren’t visiting the Hatter for an unbirthday party or flying around doing other things, and Zale had some free time, he loved coming here and sitting on a tree branch and watching the town. It was amazing to see all the little people walking around, doing their thing. He liked using the mushrooms to shrink down, too, and wandering around town himself, though he didn’t do that often because, as he’d mentioned before, Loren hated mushrooms and refused to eat them. Zale liked wandering Uvasmal, but he didn’t like it so much when Loren wasn’t with him. He spent most of his time with his twin. It usually felt odd when they were separated.

Umeko’s question made the demonic Tweedle look over with an unguarded smile, and he said, quite bluntly, ”I think they taste like burnt rubber and old cakes. Loren says they’re disgusting and won’t touch them. But shrinking down and walking around town is soo worth the nasty taste.” He gave another bright smile to Umeko before turning back to watch the town. He’d once asked one of the mushroom farmers ---and yes, Uvasmal did have mushroom farmers--- why the mushrooms tasted so bad, and the farmer had explained that it was so critters that shouldn’t eat the mushrooms wouldn’t. Like animals from the Dark Woods. If the mushrooms tasted good, then they would be eaten up too quickly and there would be no mushrooms for guests. Plus, it helped cut down on unwanted visitors (said the farmer) because only a really diehard guest would suffer through the mushrooms’ assault on their tastebuds. But Uvasmal usually had a nice set of drinks right at the entrance of the town to wash that nasty taste away, so Zale didn’t mind it.

The one thing Zale didn’t like about Uvasmal fluttered up out of the town right after Dahlia called for him. Everyone loved the Caterpillar of Uvasmal except Zale. Because Vanessa was…a butterfly. The sight of the little winged figure zipping up in front of Dahlia made him shudder, and when Vanessa landed on Kit’s hand, Zale swallowed and squeezed Umeko’s hand. Vanessa was the only person in Uvasmal with wings ---which Zale was glad for because otherwise he would have visited a lot less--- but Zale so often wished that they weren’t butterfly wings. He was fine with people having wings, but butterfly? Why butterfly? Because Vanessa was the Caterpillar, that made sense, but still… He swallowed again when Vanessa looked over at the Alices and actually attempted to hide behind Umeko.

He didn’t like butterflies, was all.

Loren across the way watched the proceedings with a sigh, knowing what would happen as soon as Vanessa fluttered up out of town. He, unlike Zale, didn’t have his twin’s aversion for butterflies, so he shifted and jumped off the tree branch, gently walking around the town and making sure not to step in any of those repulsive mushrooms. Normally he would have flown over, because flying was a much easier way to move, but he’d once flown too low over Uvasmal and all the little people had panicked because his wings spread up dust and ruined business for hours while everyone cleaned up. So he didn’t do that again, because being talked down to by a six inch mayor and a five inch dorky bug was enough to make anyone stop their actions out of plain shame.

Giving a small, annoyed frown with a dash of jealousy when he saw how tightly Zale was holding Umeko’s hand ---that was his job, dammit!--- but most of his scowl was sent Vanessa’s way. Zale was fine with the Caterpillar when said Caterpillar was big, because it was only small fluttery butterflies that freaked the demonic twin out, but when they were little and flittery and butterflie-y, Zale didn’t like them at all. And because Zale didn’t like them, Loren was pissed at them too. Still scowling at the dorky bug, Loren came up behind Zale and wrapped his arms around the darker twin, propping his chin on Zale’s shoulder. After a moment, Zale relaxed a little, his grip on Umeko’s hand easing, and he cast a small, grateful smile to Loren. He hated butterflies, but his twin being there always made things better.

Loren didn’t really care what they were doing here. He’d actually forgotten their original purpose for coming to Uvasmal, what with his jealousy and flying off in a huff and everything. When the bigger Alice questioned the bug, Loren actually flinched, suddenly remembering, and gritted his teeth. Oh. Yeah. The stupid pocketwatch. That was why they were here. Zale, being the only one who felt the flinch, looked over at Loren with a questioning gaze, but Loren just silently waved the inquiry away. No need for Loren to spill his secret. They would find out soon enough about the Rabbit, and Loren might need a bargaining chip…say, the wrestle Zale away from enemy forces. So he wasn’t going to say anything.

He just hoped that Vanessa wasn’t in one of his sneaky perceptive moods and realized Loren knew something.

Dahlia Fiore.
ThE mAd HaTtEr.

“Truly great madness can not be achieved without significant intelligence.”

Dahlia sometimes felt like it would be better to just remain friends with Kit as well... He didn't want to but even he had thoughts that having sex would change their relationship with one another somehow or ruin it even. It caused Dahlia to feel a little bit if reservation about the whole thing yet at the same time, he desired the smaller male so much that a part of him genuinely believed that the closer they got the stronger their feelings would get. It was odd since at first Kit really was just a mountain that Dahlia needed to top but he had changed so much from then, Kit had become someone who was immensely important. When he spoke again Dahlia laughed in an obviously amused manner. "That I can definitely do, my dear." Dahlia noticed the other acting seductive even when Kit was unaware of it himself. It was funny just how innocent Kit was. He never realized just how sexy he really acted and just how seductive he could actually be. It was so tantalizing and teasing to be near Kit. Yet was torture and pleasure all at once.

So when Dahlia spoke it was full of honest emotion and sincerity. He meant his words.

It was true, a part of Dahlia wanted a baby too. Some small being that he could love and care for and snuggle with. He wanted a baby that looked like his dear Kit or maybe like his dear Vanessa...maybe he wanted a baby that looked like both of them. It was hard to tell but all he knew if that the moment he realized how much Kit wanted one, he too began to want one as well. Dahlia wasn't selfless though, he also wanted the thing that led up to babies and he wanted that thing with Kit. He was insanely curious about what Kit would be like as a lover. Would he be quiet and sweet or would he be loud and wild? Dahlia was curious. Kit was, after all one of the few people that Dahlia simply could not figure out and it deeply irked him that he couldn't get to know the the other male completely. He wanted to get to understand Kit on the deepest and more raw level imaginable. When they reached Uvalsmal he stared at Kit with eyes that were darkened for a moment by the curiosity and by the desire for the blond male. Dahlia was filled to the brim with both but he also wished to speak with his darling Vanessa who was also incredibly important to him. There were many reasons why he liked Vanessa but he especially liked it when Vanessa and Kit were together. Kit seemed so excited when he realized Vanessa would come out and it made Dahlia feel even more excitment. The two combined were the cutest most irresistible thing in the whole world! It was hard not to want to cuddle the two when one saw them together. Dahlia could tell by the way Kit dropped his parasol in his joy that Vanessa really made the hare happy and for some odd reason he didn't feel jealous only happy that someone could do that.

"That is right, no gifts are needed for these visitors only sweet words and kisses. Yes, they have little boys too." He liked speaking with both Vanessa and Kit, they were such a wonderful combination but more than that the two just seemed to mesh very well together. Dahlia had o point out the males as well as the female because it was his duty to show off what Kit had ignored. It was true though, Dahlia wasn't ever as excited about a woman as he was about a man. Men just appealed to him more naturally and he didn't mind that fact at all.

Vanessa and Kit...they were both so innocent and they were both so stubborn. Neither of them relented to Dahlia's desires and for some reason Dahlia couldn't dislike them for that. he only liked them more and more for it because it showed how strong they were. Partially because they could resist his charms was why they became such good friends with him anyway. Although it did not ever erase his desire for the two. Vanessa was just sweet as he fluttered on to Kit's hand and spoke to then in that soft lovely tone. A part of Dahlia wanted to lock the small little fairy into a cage forever so that he could just stare at his cuteness. He wouldn't because locking people away was bad but he did like the idea a whole bunch. Dahlia smiled to himself and allowed his mind to float off into an entirely new direction as he went into his happy place.

Umeko, Fujioka.
The Alice boy. ((Younger Brother.))

“Nothing makes us so lonely as our secrets.”

Umeko felt truly amazed by Uvasmal it was such a tiny beautiful place and to be honest he almost wanted to shrink down and live there. For a person who was made to feel small and insignificant all his life, a tiny hidden village would be the perfect home. He could tell Minako wanted to get a closer look at it too, she must have thought that it was a home for living dolls or maybe that it was a tiny town for her to play in. He held on to his wiggling younger sister and yet he stared at the tiny place with the same wide eyes that were obviously in awe of what they saw. He wanted to go into the town and live there and see all the small people and things. Not talk with them or socialize but at least see them. That wouldn't hurt, right? As long as he wasn't there to muck things up he could at least watch, right? Umeko bit down on his lower lip and wondered, he was scared of people, all people so maybe it was better not to go and see the little people.

Umeko blinked and felt his cheeks heat up once more at the unguarded smile, he then looked a little bit surprised at the other male's answer. In all honesty he was not expecting that answer at all. He looked confused but he nodded anyway. So the mushrooms tasted bad? It was okay, Umeko would still eat them if needed. Umeko pretty much ate what ever people gave him, even if it was bad he would still eat it because it would be rude to reject something offered. Yet the benefits of the mushroom to Umeko seemed to outweigh the cons, he would have given anything to be able to shrink down until no one could see him. He wondered why Zale liked that too, did Zale liked shrinking down so that he could disappear too? Was Zale like Umeko? Umeko frowned and shook his head at the thought. Zale had friends he was cheerful and could talk to people without feeling bad or even ashamed of himself. He was not like Umeko. he was a kind good person which Umeko was not. The small boy felt bad for even thinking he could compare to the winged male. It was a silly thought and he knew he should have known better.

Then Umeko saw the butterfly...or rather it was a tiny winged boy maybe he was a fairy. He sort of looked like those fairies that he saw in books sometimes except he wasn't a girl and most of the fairies Umeko saw were always girls. He wasn't trying to judge him by that, in fact it was obvious Umeko was staring at Vanessa with an amazed gaze. The other boy was so pretty and he could fly! When he felt Zale squeeze his hand he blinked and looked worried. Was the butterfly a bad boy? Was that why Zale seemed to be upset and even scared by the other male's presence? Maybe the butterfly was mean to Zale, maybe he bullied him? Then Zale tried to hide behind him and Umeko looked worried an tensed up. The sudden movement and the odd position made him nervous so he jumped a little bit. Minako on the other hand was happy to stare at the butterfly.

Umeko was starting to feel very confused.

When Loren came closer Umeko felt worried and relieved all at once. He felt worried because the other seemed upset and Umeko was still almost positive that it was his fault and that he had done something wrong and something bad and that was why the other male seemed upset and hurt. He was relieved because he was pretty sure that Loren was scared and because the other male was scared he wanted to comfort him and make him feel happy again. This was hard to do because Umeko couldn't cheer up anyone. He was just bad at it. He was relieved because he was pretty sure that Loren could cheer and relax Zale in a jiffy and because he liked the idea of the two twins looking happy and cozy together. It made him feel warm and fluffy too. Umeko wanted them to be happy.

Then Loren came over and he was on Zale, Umeko knew that twins were probably closer than normal brothers but he did wonder since he had never been on Satsuki and Satsuki had never been on him. Was it normal for brothers to do such things? It made Umeko wonder and he looked confused about it. When he felt the grip on his hand relax he simply looked down and wondered if the other would prefer not holding hands, since he needed two hand s to hug his twin brother after all. Umeko felt a little bit of sadness and he honestly didn't know why. He shook it off and focused instead on his own older brother. He was asking to find the white rabbit and the white rabbit was the male who brought them to wonderland. Umeko knew they would have to leave sooner or later, he understood why his brother wanted to.

Of course all while he was thinking things and feeling confused and worried, Minako was wriggling and squirming to get down and Umeko's arms started to hurt from the strain of trying to hold the little girl who wanted to be on the ground playing. So Umeko bent down, his hand still lightly hanging on to Zale's and he let Minako down. Just for a second because there were so many people to watch her and because he was pretty sure that she would only become more fussy if she didn't get a chance at running around and playing like a normal little girl. No one would do anything bad to her so it was okay to put her down. Although when Umeko stood up the only thing he could do was watch his little sister carefully.

Nothing bad would happened because he was here and because Satsuki was here, it was okay to take a break from holding Minako. Wasn't it...?

“Words and hearts should be handled with care for words when spoken and hearts when broken are the hardest things to repair.”

Vanessa Aceline.
The Caterpillar.

"Naughty thoughts are bad!"

Vanessa liked being near Kit and Dahlia, one would wonder why since the two were known for their crazy ways but he actually found them both to be very sweet and wonderful even though Dahlia's...um...his special way of talking and acting did make Vanessa feel rather oddly. It was easier for him to understand Kit because their situations were similar but more than understanding, he really loved Kit. The other male him feel safe and at home. So when he flew outside of the village the first people he looked for were Kit and Dahlia. Since they both were the flowers that he could return to and feel safe and nurtured at no matter what. When he saw Kit the other guided him towards his hand so Vanessa flew that way, he liked being small and resting on Kit's hands, it was so comfortable and warm and he enjoyed it a whole bunch!

"Oh dear...if you are really really sure then I will refrain from giving them a gift but-but if they want some gifts I can go gather them, I promise! Oh, oh, oh! What a cute little girl, how tiny and precious she is! Ah, yes and the boys seem very kind too." Vanessa spoke in a soft kind tone that was similar to wind chimes. He responded to what Dahlia said and to what Kit said and he felt excited about both statements. The little girl was amazing, he liked babies just as much as Kit did after all but he also liked the boys because they seemed so kind and strong and pure too.

Vanessa really loved and admired Kit and Dahlia the most. He wasn't sure why but he had always felt so utterly attached to the two of them and it caused him to feel dizzy a lot of the time. It was because he felt like he liked them both too much. Almost as if he loved both of them...but that was silly! How could he fall in love with anyone? Even though Dahlia's smooth words sometimes made him blush for days and even though Kit's smiles were enough to make Vanessa's entire day brighter. That didn't necessarily mean love. Right? Kit was similar to him and yet he was different, Kit made up for a lot of Vanessa's weaknesses and yet Vanessa knew he helped Kit too. They were just good friends, right? Even though Dahlia was much different from both of them and even though they both knew that Dahlia did things to them with his words, he was only a friend to, right? The whole thing made Vanessa dizzy!

Of course Vanessa was trying to focus on everyone else too. There was Ix of course who made Vannessa shudder a little bit and hide himself behind Kit's fingers in a timid trusting way. He liked Ix but only when he was in his big form because when he was in his little form he had bad memories of the cat simply chasing him and chasing him and chasing him and catching him sometimes too... Then there was Loren who seemed to be glaring at him, he was used to Loren's temper now but he never understood why the other other was especially grumpy when he was in his tiny form. He also wasn't sure of why Zale seemed so scared of him when he was small, he knew for a fact that he was harmless he was just to dense to notice the affect butterflies had on Zale. Vanessa liked the two twins and he also liked the little girl who was now playing on the ground and the shy boy who looked so timid and afraid. Then the bigger boy Alice actually spoke to him! "Ah! Yes, how may I help you?" His wings fluttered excitedly at a chance to help someone in need. Especially when that someone was an Alice, Alice's were important folks! "Take you to find the White Rabbit? I can help, I can! You want to go home? Oh...w-was it something I said? I'm sorry...I didn't mean to offend you enough to make you leave!" Poor Vanessa took on odd sorts of responsibilities at times. His heart was in the right place, though.

“We are like butterflies who flutter for a day and think its forever.”

“Nessa, you don’t have to kiss the visitors either. Ignore Dahlia, he’s just being naughty again.” Kit murmured softly, giving Dahlia a look as if to tell the other to behave. Kit really needed to get a muzzle for his darling Dahlia, so others wouldn’t be drawn in by Dahlia’s smooth words. The Mad Hatter was good at what he did and it made Kit shake his head slightly as he finally looked around at everyone in the group. Ix had been eying Vanessa in a most frightening manner which made Kit draw his hand closer to himself and further from the Cheshire Cat. No one was going to be using Vanessa as a source of entertainment. Stupid kitty cat. His eyes slowly wandered over to the twins and Umeko and it appeared Zale was using the younger Alice as a shield. How sad, really. Didn’t Zale understand that Vanessa was too darling and too sweet to be a threat? Silly Zale.

Finally, Kit’s eyes settled on Satsuki who looked amazed by everything and when the older Alice came closer, Kit blinked. Oh yes, that was right. They had come seeking information about the White Rabbit’s whereabouts. Why the Alices were in such a hurry were beyond Kit but he was just happy for the adventure. Indeed. “Oh, sweet Nessa, it was nothing you have done. The Alices are trying to get home. We’re on a quest to get them there.” Kit answered, smiling reassuringly at Vanessa who genuinely seemed to think that he had done something to upset the Alices. No, it wasn’t Vanessa’s fault at all. All the Alices were—wait! Where was baby Alice?! One minute, she had been there and the next minute she was gone. When had Umeko released her from his hold?

Kit stared at Umeko for a moment and then looked around him to see if he saw the adorable little girl but his eyes could not seem to locate her. Uh oh… There was an Alice missing. “Perhaps the finding of the White Rabbit should be delayed until a later date.” Kit said softly to Satsuki, trying to think of happier things. He had so wanted to hold the little Alice and now she was gone. Oh, of all the rotten things to happen—! Why couldn’t it have been Satsuki or Umeko who wandered off? If only they had let Kit hold the little Alice, then this would not have happened. Oh, he was so sad at the sight of the darling little Alice gone. He realized that Satsuki was somewhat frowning at him so he just pointed to Umeko and watched the older Alice turn to look at his brother. It wouldn’t take Satsuki long to—

“Where’s Minako? Umeko, how could you put her down?!”

—realize that baby Alice was gone. Kit blinked as he watched Satsuki grow upset and literally go mad. It was quite entertaining to watch but he moved closer to Dahlia as he huddled up. “Well, my darlings, it would appear the Alices will be here longer than they bargained for. What a very Merry Unbirthday to us.” He murmured softly to Dahlia and Vanessa, and he couldn’t help but be somewhat sad though. The baby Alice was missing and he didn’t like that small fact but that meant the adventure would be extended. That was quite exciting, right? With a wave of his free hand, a cup of tea appeared and he handed it to Dahlia to hold. “Would you like one, Nessa dear?”

Three hundred and sixty four unbirthdays were so much more exciting than actual birthdays sometimes. It helped that there were many more unbirthdays than birthdays and that was exciting. Indeed. He wondered if the older Alice wanted a cup of tea but it didn’t seem now would be the right time to ask. The older Alice appeared to be in a bit of a panic and it made Kit wonder if Satsuki had never lost what was found before. How strange. Everyone had to lose what was found and that was what made the world go diagonal. Wait, that didn’t sound quite right. Oh well…

"Where do you think she could have gone? Oh, so many places that could gobble her up and we'd never see her again." How sad...

[ooc] A VERY MERRY UNBIRTHDAY TO US! <3 [/ooc]

                                      Satsuki was flushed once more as he felt Ix drape over his shoulders and he wished that the Cheshire Cat would stop invading his space. It made it quite hard for Satsuki to concentrate on what he had been trying to say. Thankfully, the Caterpillar said he could help! But Satsuki wasn’t quite sure why the other thought it was his doing when they had only just met. No, he just wanted to get his siblings out of Wonderland. At least, he thought he did. He wasn’t too sure what he wanted anymore. Why did Ix have to be so close? It was causing Satsuki to blush and feel rather flustered and he would have said something but he didn’t know quite how to say it. The only people who invaded Satsuki’s space was Umeko and Minako and he didn’t mind them doing it because they were his most precious treasures and he loved them dearly. But it felt strange when Ix was doing it and Satsuki figured it was because he didn’t know Ix and that made the whole gesture feel odd. But how was he to say to Ix that he wanted the other off of him immediately?

                                      “Perhaps the finding of the White Rabbit should be delayed until a later date.”

                                      Satsuki stared at Kit, wondering why the other was saying that. Did he not want them to leave Wonderland or something? Was this some sort of sign? He waited for a few more minutes, frowning slightly, until Kit pointed somewhere behind him. So, he craned his head to see what Kit was pointing at. His lips were turned into a smile when he saw his sibling…. Wait, sibling?! ”Where’s Minako? Umeko, how could you put her down?!” Immediately, he pulled away from Ix and he moved closer to where Umeko was standing. Where had Minako gone? He looked around, not seeing any signs of her. Why would Umeko put her down?! He should have given her to Satsuki if he was tired of holding her. Oh gosh, his little sister was lost. “Oh no no no… Where could she have gone? Minako! MINAKO!” It was becoming very unnerving how she kept getting away from him. His eyes were tearing up as he looked around for any traces of where she could have gone, but he saw nothing. There was no sign of his little sister. Gone.

                                      She was just gone. Satsuki was now crouched down on the ground, holding his head in his hands and trying not to outwardly freak, but he was near hysterics. He had lost Minako again. “Oh gosh… How could I lose… lose her again?” He was mumbling to himself as he cried, not sure what to do. Where could Minako have gone? His sobs reached a new level when he heard Kit’s statement. If he ever found Minako, he was going to get his siblings out of Wonderland and he’d never look back. Nothing would keep them there if he could find the way home. He was sniffling and crying and wishing he had held Minako himself. He didn’t blame Umeko because it was his job to take care of his siblings and he had failed miserably. Maybe his siblings would be better off living with their parents. At least their parents had never lost any of them… "...I'm the worst big brother..." It appeared Satsuki was having a slight pity party with a mix of a mental breakdown.

                                      [ooc] let the choas begin! >D [/ooc]

"I'm Satsuki and I'm the older brother...
”But I don’t want to go among mad people.”
”Oh, you can’t help that. We’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad."
”How do you know I’m mad?”
”You must be, or you wouldn’t have come here.”

Aetas was not having a good day. He'd run around the Woods for a few hours now, and he still hadn't seen any sign of an Alice. It would help if he knew what an Alice looked like. But there was something to be said for rushing out and attempting to find the Alices before he was ordered to by the Queen. In the first case, Aetas took the initiative, and his initiative to please the Queen might save him his head. In the second case, Aetas would lose his head for belligerance and that would just be a very, very bad prospect. The thought of losing his head, after all his hard years of work, made him almost physically ill. Why didn't he just go out and look for the Alices as soon as Tapa told him about them? Now the Queen was upset with him, and the only way to redeem himself was to actually find and bring an Alice back with him, even if he didn't know what an Alice looked like. Anything was better than losing his head, but running around without knowing what he was looking for was akin to sloppiness in his book.

And wha twas with that huge bird, earlier? The thing had just erupted out of the trees, scared him half to death. All Aetas had seen was a glimpse of white wings and leaves flashing to the ground, but it had been a bloody big bird. He hadn't seen anything so large in...years, really. He'd been spending most of his time at the palace and running from appointment to appointment, and he hadn't had the time to look around at the local wildlife. What was in the water, to make the birds get that big?

Right now, he was sitting under a tree, a small packet of crackers open in his lap, with his hat and his cane lying next to him. He was taking his necessary five minute break. Every hour he'd spent running around, he'd set aside five minutes to break and catch his breath, maybe eat some crackers and drink a little water. When he'd first started working for the Queen, he hadn't taken the time to take care of himself, and that had had some pretty disastrous results. Now he knew that if he didn't eat and drink and rest for a little bit every hour, he would collapse, and this mission was of the utmost importance. His head was on the line. So he wasn't going to delay any longer than he absolutely had to.

There was a rustling in the bushes to his right, and Aetas glanced up, eyes narrowing in suspicion. Moving slowly but efficiently, he reached out and grabbed his cane, lifting it just in case he needed to bash something in the head and make a run for it. There were all sorts of things in the Woods, and the wary traveler survived. The unwary traveler was never seen from again, and was most likely eaten. Since he'd been doing this for years and years, there was no reason the Kanin family had to suffer such a disgrace as having one of their own be eaten by something in the Woods. The rustling repeated.

And then, to his complete surprise, he heard an unexpected, "Bunny!"

The sound of a child's voice was almost enough to make Aetas drop his guard, but he didn't. Not quite yet. Things in the Woods could be tricky. The appearance of an actual child, though, made Aetas blink and stare in surprise. Why was a child wandering the Woods alone? The little girl grinned, trotting right up to Aetas's hat, and picked it up. "Bunny!" she chirped again, and the White Rabbit was absolutely flummoxed. This little blue-haired girl was wandering the Woods alone, and all she was interested in was his hat?

Then...then Aetas got a funny realization, and he frowned, studying the girl a little more closely. There was something about her...leaning forward, he eyed her. Something about her was...strange. Like...like...

Like she was from Beyond the Glass.

Even more bewildered than before, Aetas sat back, looking her over. Her clothes were odd, but it wasn't that. There was something about her that was strange. The Other World had a strange...taste, maybe, was the word. When Aetas was over there, he didn't notice it because it was just so overwhelming, being everywhere around him, but here, in Wonderland, the Other World's taste was subtly different that he noticed it. And the only thing he could think of that would come from the Other Side of the Mirrors was...an Alice. A grin split the Rabbit's face, and the little Alice grinned back, still holding his hat. Oh, this was wonderful. He'd been out searching for an Alice, and an Alice had walked right up to him. Standing, he bent down, gently taking his hat from the little girl's fingers and placing it on his head. Then, with no ceremony whatsoever ---because who knew how slippery Alices could be when they were spooked--- he scooped her up in his arms and took off.

He'd started searching in this area of the Woods for no other reason than his home was nearby. The Kanin home was a small, non-descript little thatched cottage, but inside was a nice little treasure. A full length mirror. Within only a few minutes, he'd arrived at the clearing where his home stood, and he only paused long enough to unlock the door, slip through, and lock it behind him. Didn't want anyone to sneak in and steal anything while he was away. Then, smiling down at the little girl, he waved his cane and stepped through the mirror in his living room. Instead of traveling to the Other World, as he usually did when he moved through mirrors, Aetas found it easier to just come out in his room at the palace. It was much faster than running through the Woods, and the little Alice was surprisingly heavy for such a small girl. Time was wasting.

Setting the girl on the bed, he went to the closet. His nice clothes were all dirty and messy from running around. A second glace told him that the little girl's clothes were likewise dirty, and he made a quick call to the maid to have an outfit for a little girl brought over. Quickly changing into the new, clean outfit, he noticed his reflection staring moodily at the Alice. "What?"

"Are you sure this little thing is an Alice?" his reflection questioned, eyes narrowed suspiciously. Then he rolled his eyes and showed Aetas, yet agin, how to tie his ribbon.

"Of course I'm sure," the Rabbit snapped, looping the ribbon the right way. A knock on the door announced the arrival of the Alice's new outfit, and Aetas took it without a word, closing the door in the maid's face and turning back to the bed. The maid, used to such treatment from the frenetic-paced Rabbit, just left. Outfit in hand, the Rabbit turned back to the little girl. "Alright, Alice, let's get you changed. You're going to meet the Queen."

His reflection watched in great amusement as Aetas wriggled and forced the Alice into the dress. It was a pink dress festooned with red hearts, and it was a little big, but not so big that it was noticeable. With her hair brushed back and the dirt wiped off her face, she was presentable. The Queen would be pleased.

"But what does it do?" Aetas's reflection scowled at the girl as the Rabbit held her in front of the mirror and studied her. While that was a good question, Aetas wasn't going to bother with it. It didn't matter what the Alice could do, just that she was an Alice, and if Aetas brought the Queen an Alice, then Aetas wouldn't lose his head. "Alright, little Alice, come with me," he said, ignoring his reflection's continued grumbling. Taking the Alice by the hand, he led her out of the room and to the throne room, yet again ignoring the many curious and interested stares of the servants and maids in the halls. Outside the throne room doors, he paused, taking a breath to steel his nerves ---because if the Queen was still upset about before, then not even an Alice could keep Aetas's head on his shoulders--- he knocked lightly on the wood. Waiting until he heard the Queen's order to 'come in', the Rabbit led the Alice inside. Bowing low, he nudged the little girl forward. "Highness, I've found an Alice."

He really hoped this was enough to keep his head...

While Posting Tori's Part...
Kitty Bop listened to: Want To

╚══════════════════╝

                      The day had been rather frustrating and Tori was feeling quite bored and tired. Peasants and such had been coming in all day, but their problems held no importance in Tori's eyes and he wished they would simply stop coming. Starlight remained pleasant even when the only thing both royals had eaten were pastries and grapes. The grapes had been Starlight's request and Tori simply ate them to simply annoy his pregnant wife who was doing her best to remain calm. There was another lull so Tori told his guards not to let anyone in for another hour or so. He was tired of hearing the pathetic complaints, his ears needed a break. Starlight sighed softly and reached over to Tori, taking his hand lightly. The Red Queen was curious as to what his wife was doing and he would have asked but she suddenly placed his hand on her stomach, caressing it. To anyone else, it would look as though the Red King was looking for an excuse to hold the Red Queen's hand. But Tori knew that meant Starlight was not feeling as well as she let on. She had taken to sleeping in his bedroom again. Why, he did not know. But it was quite pleasing to hear her throwing up in the mornings. Then again, it was annoying as well because she normally would pinch Tori before she got out of bed. She really better be happy that she was carrying his child or he would have been most displeased and less tolerance with her actions. Instead he was annoyed and took pleasure in her pain. "Is there a reason you smirk?" Starlight's voice broke through Tori's thoughts and he blinked as he realized his mouth was set in a smirk. Ah yes, Starlight's discomfort did that to him from time to time.

                      "Just thinking of how I shall behead that stupid White Rabbit if he does not bring me back an Alice."

                      Starlight's expression did not change but she did tighten her hold on Tori's hand, so he snatched it away from her grasp. The woman was such a nuisance. He wished she would hurry up and have his child already. Then he could behead her and send her pieces back home! ...alright, maybe he wouldn't do that, but only because he didn't want to be responsible for his child's welfare by himself. Besides, if it wasn't a girl, he'd need Starlight so he could try again. He yawned as a knock at the door was heard, causing him to glare. But he told the guards to open the door and in came Aetas with a child. Before Tori could say anything, he was stopped by Aetas's statement. That was an Alice? Starlight had sat up straight and motioned for the guards to bring the child closer. When she was safely deposited in Starlight's lap, both the Queen and King looked at the child.

                      "Pretty..." The child spoke, reaching up and patting Starlight's face, making the woman smile. Tori was curious as to how this child was an Alice, she looked like any other commoner. But she didn't give off the same vibe, so she must have been an Alice. But wait... "I heard there were more. Where are the others?" He asked, glaring down at Aetas. So, the White Rabbit had brought one Alice when there were more?! Did he think that pleased Tori? Did he-- "Stop making that face, dear, you're scaring the child." Tori's head whipped around to glare at Starlight but he was met with watery eyes from a little girl. Dear goodness... "Suki-chan? Cho-chan?" The child's face was scrunching up but Tori was more interested in what she said, and getting away before she began to cry. Clearly, those were the names of the other Alices. So, there were two more. Before Tori could say anything, the child began to cry and it made the Red King coo softly, pressing the child's head to where her heart lied. It did not stop the crying but it quieted it down somewhat.

                      "Good job, Aetas."

                      Tori scoffed, still not looking pleased but he made sure his face wasn't in view of the little Alice child. He was not pleased but he was going to be lenient since Aetas managed to bring him an Alice. "Tomorrow, I want these Suki and Cho found immediately. You better not mess this up." Tori gritted out before turning to look at the small blue-haired child. She was watching him. Mostly, she was watching his crown. Perhaps if Starlight did not have a girl, this little Alice could take over! ...that plan was quite brilliant! No one would question Tori’s word and then he wouldn’t have to have relations with Starlight anymore. He could send the wretched woman home then, but he wouldn’t do that. It was just the mere fact that he could but wouldn’t that he knew would drive Starlight insane. It definitely had its appeal and Tori was going to keep that thought in mind. It would come in handy. For now, Tori would be appeased though, so he reached over and took the small Alice into his arms, placing her in his lap. She stared up at him as he stared down at her. Now, what could she do? “Pretty…” Tori crinkled his nose at that statement. He wasn’t pretty. He was handsome and regal. Foolish little Alice did not seem to know the difference.

                      [ huzzah! >D ]

With his twin hugging him, Zale was feeling much better about being so close to Vanessa. He liked the Caterpillar well enough, and he would like the Caterpillar even more when Vanessa grew big again. He was fine when they were both big, or both small. It was the size difference that he couldn’t do. When Vanessa was small, and Zale was big, he was like a butterfly, and Zale didn’t do well around butterflies. He knew Vanessa thought it was his fault or something, but Zale had never managed to find the time to explain it. Still, with Loren here and Umeko still holding his hand, Zale was feeling much better than he otherwise would have, and he sent a grateful smile at his twin’s and the Alice’s ways. Seing that Zale was feeling better, Loren leaned over and pressed a gentle kiss against Zale’s forehead. Then he released the demonic-winged twin, stepping back a few steps. He would stay here just long enough to make sure Zale wouldn’t freak out completely, and then he would go back to his tree branch, because being this near to the twin-stealing Alice made him annoyed.

When it seemed like Zale would be fine and wasn’t going to go into any sort of panic attack or anything, Loren turned with a flick of his wing and headed back to his branch. Kit’s comment stopped him, though, and he turned, frowning, trying to figure out what the enigmatic hare was talking about this time. Why in the world would the Alices have to stay any longer? The goal was to shuffle them out of here as quickly as possible, not keep them here longer.

It wasn’t until Satsuki started calling for his sister that Loren realized what was happening, and he had two thoughts. First, that they had to find Minako as quickly as possible to get the Alices to leave, and two, that Kanin had been looking for the Alices, And that Kanin had just recently been so very nearby. Pausing, the angelic twin turned and looked over at the Alice, collapsed against the ground as he was. He felt for the Alice. He did. Zale meant everything to Loren, and if Loren ever lost Zale, he wouldn’t know how to handle it. If they followed Kanin until they found out if the Rabbit had actually taken the girl, then they could rescue her and reunite her with her family and Loren’s initial goal of shuffling the Alices off as quickly as possible would be complete. He opened his mouth to say what he knew…

…but the words wouldn’t come out.

After a moment, he snapped his mouth shut and moved to walk away. It was none of his business. So what if the bloody Alices stayed any bloody longer. He wasn’t going to involve himself helping the Alices, and he certainly wasn’t going to go up against the Rabbit or the Red Queen. Let the Alices deal with the Queen. It wasn’t his problem. Crossing his arms, he turned to glower at the group, but figured that going back to his tree branch would bring disapproval in Zale’s eyes, and that was the last thing in the world that Loren wanted.

Unfortunately for Loren, Zale was very perceptive to his twin’s moods and facial expressions, and even the smallest twitch of the lighter twin’s eyebrow could host a whole conversation that the darker twin could read. Zale only glanced back to make sure that Loren hadn’t scurried away ---because he, like his twin, could all too clearly imagine what Satsuki was going through, and he wanted Loren’s emotional support, like when Vanessa came up all butterfly-y--- and with that one glance, Zale could read a whole mess of emotions. Guilt and indecision, and annoyance, mostly, but overall, Loren was definitely hiding something. Something that might not matter, but was probably helpful to the current situation, given the other emotions and the context right now. Turning, Umeko’s hand still in his own, Zale frowned at his twin. ”Loren? Do you know something?” If it was nothing, Zale would see it on Loren’s face. If it was something…

It was something.

Zale’s frown deepened, and he took a half-step towards Loren, reluctant to drop Umeko’s hand because he knew the younger Alice was probably just as torn up as his big brother was and simply better about keeping it locked up tight. ”Loren? What is it?” And then, the final blow, something he knew would make Loren talk, Zale thrust his chin out and stubbornly said, ”If you don’t tell me, I won’t talk to you for a week.”

As childish as it sounded, the threat was the really only effective one that worked on Loren. Loren could handle anything but his twin ignoring him. His mouth acted before his brain, blurting out what he knew in order to keep that horrible, horrible threat from coming to fruition.

”Kanin was nearby just a little while ago and looking for the Alices!”

There was a moment of silence in the clearing as the Tweedle’s words registered, and Loren cursed himself for an idiot. He’d said it to keep Zale from fulfilling his threat, but now Zale looked even more upset, bordering on angry. Zale was always so sweet, always so kind-hearted, but there were times when Loren did something really bad that Zale just wouldn’t stand. Had it been Zale who’d seen Kanin, he would have told the others right away, and so he couldn’t understand why Loren wouldn’t. And now Zale was mad at Loren and the lighter twin was pissed at his own stupidity. Dammit, dammit dammit dammit! Why couldn’t Loren have just kept his mouth shut? Now Zale was upset with him and they were probably going to head off to storm the Red Queen’s castle and then they would all get their heads chopped off.

Loren waseven more certain now that all of his current misfortunes were caused by the Alices.

~~~~~
Ix was wonderfully amused by Satsuki’s reactions to the way Ix kept draping all over him. It was like the other male had never had a cat before! How silly. Everyone loved cats. Everyone didn’t love Cheshires, but everyone loves cats. Seeing the other male squirm and turn red like that made all of this seem worthwhile. Even if the Alices ended up leaving, Ix would be satisfied with the sight of Satsuki reacting so pleasantly to Ix’s affections. At least for a little while. Then he would get depressed that the Alices had left and would mope around for a good long time until he either felt better or died of a broken heart. Which would be a sad, sad ending to one so wonderful as himself, and was yet another reason why Satsuki and his siblings should never leave Wonderland. Yup. Never ever ever, and Ix would show off his pets and be the envy of everyone around him…
The Cheshire snapped out of his delightful daydream when Satsuki suddenly wrenched out of the Cat’s grip. Having missed the whole previous conversation, it took Ix a moment to decipher what was wrong. Then Satsuki got so frantic, calling out for the little girl Alice, and Ix took a moment to look around and notice that the girl was, in fact, gone. Just disappeared, probably vanishing into one of the bushed around Uvasmal and wandering into the Woods. Ooh, that could be bad…were he not a cat, Ix might have tried to find her himself, to get in Satsuki’s good graces. But he was more worried about poor Satsuki, who seemed to be having a fit of some sort, and, as such, Satsuki was his priority.
Moving silently up beside Satsuki, Ix knelt down beside the crouching male, attempting to be comforting. But he didn’t really know how to do that. Cheshires weren’t exactly known for their comforting ability. So he did what any rational person would think of doing. He turned into his cat form, assuring himself that there weren’t actually amused snickers at his coloring, and leapt up into Satsuki’s lap. Small animals were always a comfort. At least until they grew teeth and ate you. But that was only some of the many species in the Woods. ”Don’t worry. There aren’t any places nearby that will actually eat her up,” he said reassuringly, his first words spoken in his cat form. Yes, that’s right, he was a talking cat. He wondered if that was unusual in the Other World. That wasn’t the issue. He was doing good comforting, he just needed to keep it up. His tail flicked in pleasure at his own words, because he was being a good comforter right now. ”You should be more worried about the critters living nearby, though. They’ll eat her right up.” Oh, great, that was smooth. Satsuki’s face crumpled again, and Ix mentally bashed himself over the head. That wasn’t comforting. Making a small, apologetic mewl, he rubbed his head against Satsuki’s arm, apologizing in his own way because Cheshires just didn’t say the words out loud.
And then Loren said something that made Ix groan and his ears flatten against his head.
”Kanin was nearby just a little while ago and looking for the Alices!”
Great. If that silly Rabbit managed to find Minako, then he would take the girl straight to the Red Queen, because Aetas was just blindly devoted in that idiotic way of his. Which meant that Satsuki would rush off to rescue his sibling from said Queen, which would be bad because Ix was fairly certain that, in the end, Satsuki would lose his head. Most of the people who met the Red Queen lost their heads sooner or later. And it was such a nice head with such pretty, lovely dark blue hair ---Ix had always been partial to blue hair, since it was his color--- and Ix didn’t want Satsuki to lose it. Besides, the Red Queen pretty much hated…well, everyone, and most of the people in their little party had standing orders for their heads to be lopped off if they ever set foot on Heartsland. Ix in particular, though he always managed to get out of it. Growling in frustration, he climbed up onto Satsuki’s leg, gently kneading the other male’s thigh in an attempt to be comforting.
”We will find her,” he encouraged, attempting once more to be comforting. He thought he knew where he went wrong last time, and was determined not to make the same mistake again. Flicking an ear, he rubbed up against Satsuki’s belly. ”Kanin will treat her alright.” The Red Queen was another matter, but if Aetas was there, she would be fine. After all, Aetas liked small animals. It came from his parents being Rabbits too. And Ix had no doubt in his mind that Aetas had found the girl and whisked her away from the Woods, because the Rabbit seemed to have that sort of luck. Ix had seen it in action. When Aetas was looking for something, more often than not it just dropped into his lap. Ix wished he could have that kind of luck ---maybe he did, since he’d found the Alices first--- but he would take care of Minako. So Satsuki didn’t have to worry.
What they did have to worry about was how they were going to rescue the girl from the Red Queen without being beheaded.
Hey, at least Satsuki got to stay in Wonderland longer.
ThE mAd HaTtEr.
“Truly great madness can not be achieved without significant intelligence.”
"Aww...but Nessa kissing those adorable little Alices would make such a wonderfully adorable sight, do you not agree?" Dahlia spoke in a bemused tone, he really did want to see the other male give kisses the the outsiders, it would be so very sweet to watch and Dahlia loved how innocently the other acted towards others. Of course he also loved the way Kit could just tease and confuse other people too, they both used their qualities to fluster people although they both did it unknowingly. It caused Dahlia to feel chills, it was just so pleasant to watch the two who were dearest to him causing others to feel all muddled and embarrassed. Dahlia may have been a bit of a sadist because of that but at the same time how could he not love the the chaos the two caused. He himself loved flustering them and he loved flustering others but when he could watch them fluster people it made him feel all warm inside.
It was adorable how Vanessa thought that it was his fault that the Alices wanted to leave, Dahlia smiled softly at the other and didn't speak since he knew that Kit would reassure and comfort Vanessa instantly. It was just so lovely to watch the two of them together. Kit had always treated Vanessa as some tiny fragile treasure, the way he held Vanessa and the way he always comforted and spoke to the other in those soft tones it made Dahlia feel happy. Vanessa also seemed to hold a lot of genuine affection for Kit as well, he would often go to Kit first and he always attempted to be as close as possible to the other male. The two of them were like close friends but they were more somehow, it seemed as though they were closer than just friends although he thought that even they didn't know it. He wondered if they felt the same affection that he felt for them at times but then he remembered that his affection probably wasn't nearly as innocent as theirs...
Dahlia's attention was turned to the little male Alice as well, when he saw the little girl was gone he turned and glanced back at Kit. He was wondering if Kit was upset about his favorite of the Alices going missing suddenly, if he was upset then Dahlia would comfort him but since he didn't seem too worried Dahlia simply sighed. A part of him was happy since this obviously meant that the Alices would have to stay much much longer and a part of him was put out because a missing little girl was not fun at all and the Alices wouldn't be nearly as energetic or interesting when they were worried about a missing little sister. The little girl was also adorable and small enough to make Kit feel happy and without her around Kit would probably become sulky and upset and Dahlia hated it when Kit became upset for any reason.
When he heard Satsuki's frantic voice he blinked in interest.
When Satsuki broke down Dahlia's eyes sharpened, he wondered if the other would go mad completely and join them forever and ever, that was what happened to the last Alice after all. She had went mad and had become the mad red queen, it would be interesting if Satsuki turned into the mad blue king or something of the sort... "Yes, it seemed that they will end up staying with us for a very long time..." He smiled despite the situation and calmly watched everyone as they reacted to the missing little girl, he knew Wonderland was dangerous but a girl like that would surely survive. He was given a cup of tea and he sipped it lightly while making sure to get closer to Kit and Vanessa, almost in a protective manner. He didn't want them to feel unprotected after all...
It was rather odd how the three of them could simply act so calmly when everyone else was panicking and acting as if the sky was falling but that was simply how the march Hare and the Mad Hatter were they always took things with stride and they never worried too much about anything. After all Dahlia knew Wonderland and he knew that little girl would be fine in Wonderland, in fact he was pretty sure she would flourish without any help at all. He did wonder what would happen if she were to meet with their Red Queen after all that man was so violent tempered and the little girl was so adorable and energetic, he wished to see them.
"If she is with our queen then I do wonder what will happen to her, either he will take amusement in her or he will do to her what he had done so many times to us." He laughed lightly at the thought of their queen, Dahlia was not a favorite of the royal court at all...
“Seduction is always more singular and sublime than sex and it commands the higher price.”
"Naughty thoughts are bad!"
"I don't have to kiss them? Really, really? Cause I can I mean if they want kisses then I should give them kisses to welcome them...I think." Vanessa was flustered once again, he was blushing and fluttering in Kit's hand nervously because he hated the idea of being rude but he also felt nervous at the idea of kissing the Alices. He felt a whole bunch safer when Kit moved his hand closer and farther away from Ix, he liked Ix but whenever he was small it seemed like the Cheshire cat was going to pounce on him and eat him and he really really didn't like the idea of being eaten by anyone. Plus he felt all warm and fluffy inside when Kit pulled him in closer, he felt like the other was was caring only for him and it made him feel so wonderfully special. It was hard not to want to just stay in Kit's hand all day long and feel cherished and wonderful and great. Vanessa knew he would have to change but he liked being small and being held by Kit.
When Kit spoke again Vanessa looked a little bit confused and worried it was partially because he didn't understand why the Alices would want to leave after just arriving in Wonderland, it would be such a waste to abandon such a place after only seeing it for a few moments it would be very sad too. Vanessa looked sad for a moment and rubbed at his eyes from underneath his glasses. "I don't understand...why to they want to go home? Can they play with us for a little while longer, can they? Can they?" His tiny voice rang out in a sad manner since he really hated the idea of such sad and quick goodbyes. He felt a little bit better that he hadn't caused their desire to leave but he still wanted them to stay in Wonderland and play for a while, or even just relax since Wonderland could be very relaxing and fun in certain areas.
Of course after Kit said they would stay longer Vanessa felt so happy but then he wondered why Kit would say such a thing and he looked around in a curious manner, he did not see anything out of the norm or rather anything out of the norm by Wonderland's standards at least. Then Umeko saw what bad thing had happened and he gasped in horror and surprise. The little girl Alice was missing! Oh dear! Oh dear! How had the little girl disappeared so quickly? Did she know magic of some kind? That must have been it! There was no other reason except for the fact that the lost little girl knew magic and had used her magic to disappear! Oh it was all so terrible! How were they supposed to find such a tiny little girl! She could be lost for days or weeks even! Vanessa worried looked around in his own way and shook his head, he couldn't see her anywhere!
This was incredibly bad! Those two boy Alices would be so sad and so would Kit...
Then the oldest Alice looked like he was about to cry and in fact Vanessa was sure that the other male was crying and that made Vanessa tear up because when people cried he had to cry too, it was just natural someone was in pain and it made Vanessa feel pain too horrible sad pain and loss. "It is good that they will stay b-but we have to find that little girl, we just h-have too." Vanessa spoke in an upset tone because he was upset and confused because the Alices seemed upset and he didn't like it. He was then distracted by Kit giving Dahlia tea and he blushed and shyly stared at the tea. He nodded and smiled softly at Kit before fluttering up a little bit. "Thank you, thank you! I would love some tea, please!"
So he flutter out of Kit's hand and allowed himself to grow bigger, see when Vanessa wanted to grow bigger or grow smaller he could and he was fairly good at doing it without mushrooms. It was a skill the caterpillar family had perfected over the years possibly because the mushrooms were in their blood practically. His wings which were larger in his smaller form glowed a soft pinkish gold light and wrapped around him for a moment as his body grew into its form that would match everyone else. He still fluttered lightly about the ground but only so that his toes were about an inch from the ground.
"I would love some tea now please, I'm big enough to hold the cup and not swim in it now too!" He smiled softly and stayed close to Kit and Dahlia in a trusting manner.
“We are like butterflies who flutter for a day and think its forever.”
Umeko, Fujioka.
The Alice boy. ((Younger Brother.))
“Nothing makes us so lonely as our secrets.”
Umeko kept his hand holding on to the other male and for a moment he was distracted by Zale and Loren. He was distracted by the two when they grew closer and closer together, he had been so distracted that his attention had left Minako even though he should have known better, he couldn't help it. The two of them...the two of them were so close and so near to each other and it made Umeko feel weird because it wasn't like how he got close to Satsuki at all it was different and it made him feel oddly to see the two of them so close together like that and he flushed despite himself. It was because the kiss on the forehead looked like a kiss meant for on on the lips and because of the expressions on their faces, it was such a tender exchange and it made him wonder so many different things about the twins. Were brothers really allowed to be so close? It was so odd to see and yet it didn't feel wrong, it felt so loving and soft as if the two of them were more than just brothers almost like they something else Umeko wasn't sure what else it could be but it felt right somehow like they should be together.
Then he heard the words that caused his entire body to freeze and his blood to run cold. Kit spoke and suddenly Umeko was confused but he looked around and he knew exactly why Kit spoke. Minako was...Minako was gone and he couldn't...and it was all his. Umeko made a small high sound that probably unheard because it was so soft and yet so high. His expression was hidden behind his scarf and his floppy hat and his sunglasses but his whole face had paled and his pupils had dilated into pinpoints.
It was his fault and when Satsuki spoke to him, his voice just didn't work, he couldn't speak and even though he opened his mouth to apologize to explain to do something and it made him feel even worse. He couldn't move because Zale was still holding his hand and he couldn't go and call of for Minako because his voice was never loud, Umeko just couldn't yell a long time ago he had locked up his voice and he could not unlock it. It was his fault it was all his fault. Satsuki had asked him why he had put her down and he had done it because she was wriggling and because his arms were tired but it was no excuse. No excuse at all. Umeko was a fool he hadn't watched his little sister closely enough and now she was gone and Minako might be hurt or lonely or sad and it was all his fault. He knew it was his fault too he just knew it and that hurt him deeply.
Then Satsuki...Satsuki started to...to...
He was crying. Satsuki was crying, big brother was crying and it was it was because Umeko was careless. Big brother thought that he was bad and he wasn't bad he was good and he was crying because Umeko had lost Minako and because big brother blamed himself because he was simply too kind to blame the person who was really at fault. Umeko just couldn't handle it he wanted to be with big brother, it was bad to like this place because his big brother was crying because they were here and because Minako was lost here and big brother was crying because of him.
This was terrible, this was awful and then Ix came over and he was comforting his big brother and Umeko knew he was comforting Satsuki in a was that Umeko was unable to. It stung for some reason and Umeko wanted to cry, he sincerely wanted to cry but he held in his emotions because he couldn't express them outwardly in front of others because it would trouble them and he didn't want to cause any more trouble than he had already caused. He had hurt someone close to him and another person close to him was lost and in a dangerous place because of him. All Umeko could do was stop himself from crying all he could do was stand completely still and try not to break down because he didn't deserve the right to break down and because he didn't want to be teased and hated because he was weak and useless. Not again. Umeko trembled slightly and felt a little bit more lost because he wanted to be with Satsuki and Minako but Minako was gone and because he couldn't hug his big brother at all...
He couldn't do anything.
When Zale stepped away from him Umeko flinched, he didn't understand why but his sense of loss grew even more when the demon winged boy moved away from him it had hurt him. At the same time Umeko felt like he had to let go of Zale's hand and move away from him because it was wrong for him to be so close and it was bad because Zale was still a stranger and because Umeko just didn't know what to do or think anymore.
Umeko barely noticed anything around him but he did end up recognizing Zale's voice and he recognized that Zale was threatening Loren for some reason with not talking to him and Umeko felt worried. Not talking to someone was a really big punishment and it wasn't a nice feeling to be ignored.
Umeko knew very well that being ignored was bad and he didn't understand why Zale was threatening Loren until he heard Loren speak.
Umeko sort of knew what it meant, it meant that Minako was probably with the white rabbit and that the white rabbit was going to take her to the red queen and the red queen was a person who was violent right? The red queen did things like chopping off peoples h-head and that meant that Minako was with a person who cut people's heads off and Umeko felt a sudden jolt of cold fear run through him again, his poor little sister was with such a dangerous angry person and that meant that she was in real life threatening danger. Umeko couldn't fully fathom the idea that his little sister might be in trouble of loosing her head. His whole body was shaking out of a sense of fear and out of a sense of overwhelming guilt and misery because of what was going on. He could not help himself at all from feeling the way he was feeling of from shaking like he was.
It was because Umeko knew the whole entire thing was completely and utterly his fault, he was bad.
